Exploring photography

The other day I saw post on my friend’s instagram with #dogwood52. I am curious and snoopy so I had to find out what that meant. Dogwood Photography has posted a 52 Week Photography Challenge to challenge photographers, amateur and professional alike, to explore new subjects and techniques. 

Now I am in no way a photographer. Not even an amateur photographer. But it sounded like a fun thing to do, so I am going to do it! I figured tumblr might be a good place to post my photos.

Week One is a self portrait. “Start things off right with a "selfie"! Explore the self timer setting on your camera.”

So here it is. Not much. I tried to get a good angle and of course I had to capture my little Boo in the background! Not a very good setting in the living room, but it’s raining outside so it’ll have to do. Also, I only just realized how much my hair has faded since I last had it done! I had a bit of a box color accident, and we had to do some pretty crazy stuff to it...anyways it’s a bit multicolored right now. Not on purpose.
