DDD 2025: 3/365
Today's a 3 minute Daily Dog Doodle and I got REALLY ambitious xD These little minute bursts seem like a lot of time but alas they are not but am determined to try again tomorrow
Quick sketch and inks using a photo for reference of the sassy Eunbi, who smugly cuddled up with her new favorite human while he played Dragon Age: Veilguard. My friend and the kind photographer of this ref was simply AGHAST to be replaced as Eunbi's favorite, haha

I'm curious if Helsknight was a dog what breed do you think he'd be? Some friends and I were discussing and were thinking husky due to the level of dramatics and slight holier than thou-ness while also having some silly
Husky is a very strong contender for a Helsknight-dog. Very silly and principled.
I'm a little biased, but I'll also throw German Shepherd on as a possible contender -- bred for protection and strength, just smart enough to be a little stupid, very funny when at ease, prone to jabbing you really hard with their nose when they're lonely.
I would also probably toss poodles on that pile. Hunting/sledding dogs built for hard work, looks a little ridiculous in their formal cut but it's all highly functional, loving but a little too aggressive about it.

So no clue what the phenomenon is called, but I've got that thing of "whenever you hear noises you have to repeat them" thing that some ADHD people have. It's not an always thing for me, but I do it A Lot when I'm out birding. I'm no good at it, of course, as I have a human mouth and no syrinx (a bird's voicebox), but that doesn't stop the chickadees from thinking some kid-chickadee is singing really badly in their territory, as chickadees love to throw down.
The problem is when you repeat a Barred Owl song (because ohmygod their song is amazing!) and the male of the pair thinks you sound juuuuuuuuust enough like an owl that he decides to scope your location. The amount of impulse control you gain when faced with the fact an owl would gladly smack the back of your head for singing terribly is incredible.

Hi Scout, I heard you like dogs! What’s your favorite breed?
My all time favourite has got to be a Beagle! They’re freakin adorable and I remember my grandad had one at one point. I was real young though and it was real old by that point but I remember lovin it!
I think havin a dog at the base would be pretty sick! I mean Medic got all those freakin birds so I think it’s fair for me ta get a dog!

Pomeranian vs Shih Tzu: Which is the Right Breed Choice for You
Pomeranians and Shih Tzus are both popular small dog breeds, but they have different energy levels, consultation requirement, trainability, and grooming requirements. Pomeranians are more active and energetic, while Shih Tzus are more laid-back. Pomeranians are also more intelligent and can be trained to perform a variety of tricks, while Shih Tzus can be more challenging to train. Both breeds require regular grooming, but Pomeranians have a thicker coat that requires more brushing.
Ultimately, the best breed for you will depend on your lifestyle and preferences. If you are looking for an active and energetic dog, a Pomeranian may be a good choice. If you are looking for a laid-back and easy-to-train dog, a Shih Tzu may be a better fit.

The reason it takes 200 years for me to get my characters fully defined is because i get caught on irrelevant details.
I decided that one of my characters has a pet dog. Big mistake, i'm a dog nerd. Now, because this world the characters belong to doesn't have real life dog breeds, i'm MAKING UP NEW ONES and thinking which real breeds the fictional pet dog would most resemble. This has no actual input in the story itself.

Not to mention that dogs rescued from puppy mills are generally going to be difficult cases. These are dogs that have been mistreated and traumatized for their entire lives and being forced to have litter after litter until they physically can't anymore. They are significantly more likely to have behavioral issues or exhibit undesirable behaviors because of their trauma and lack of socialization. These dogs are not appealing to private shelters because of this. Kill shelters give them the best possible chance of recovery and finding a happy home, and even if they can't find that, they are humanely put down instead of being left to fend for themselves until they die
