What Is The Difference Between Boarding And Pet Sitting
When leaving your furry friend in someone else's care, various options are available, including Dog boarding, Dog Training and pet sitting. Boarding typically involves leaving your pet at a facility for a set period, where they receive care and attention from staff. In contrast, pet sitting consists of a caregiver visiting your home to care for your pet. However, another option combines the benefits of both - dog boarding and training. This type of boarding provides your pet with both care and training, ensuring they receive the necessary attention and skill-building while you're away.

German Shepard Trainers - Precision Dog Training
What is the best method of training a German Shepherd?
Positive reinforcement is often considered the best method for training German Shepherds. This involves rewarding desired behaviors with treats, praise, or play. Consistency, patience, and clear communication are key. Here are some tips for training a German Shepherd:
Tumblr media
Start Early: Begin training as soon as you bring your German Shepherd home. Early socialization and obedience training are crucial.
Use Positive Reinforcement: Reward good behavior with treats, praise, or toys. This encourages the dog to repeat the behavior.
Be Consistent: Use consistent commands and rules. This helps the dog understand what is expected.
Provide Mental Stimulation: German Shepherds are intelligent and need mental stimulation. Incorporate interactive toys, training sessions, and puzzles to keep their minds engaged.
Exercise Regularly: They are active dogs that require physical exercise. Regular walks, runs, or playtime in a secure area are important.
Establish Leadership: Be a confident leader without resorting to harsh punishment. German Shepherds respond well to a confident and consistent owner.
Avoid Harsh Methods: Avoid harsh training methods as they can damage the bond between you and your dog and may lead to fear or aggression issues.
Training Classes: Consider enrolling in obedience classes or working with a professional trainer, especially if you're new to dog training or if your dog has specific behavior issues.
Remember, each dog is unique, so what works well for one German Shepherd might need adjustments for another. Patience, positive reinforcement, and consistency are key elements in successfully training a German Shepherd.

We hear in the news of dog attacks, dog fights, dog shop near me price list, dog boarding training, dog training at home, play with puppies near me, good dog treats, places to board dogs near me and Doggy Daycare services near and other traumatic events – all at the expense of badly trained dogs. But is it the dog, or is it perhaps the owner at fault? Through working closely with a trainer, we can begin to understand why our dogs act the way they do, adjust their thinking patterns, and see results…And often notice the changes sooner than you’d expect. We mustn’t blame our dogs for reacting poorly. We mustn’t become frustrated.

It always makes me crack how Kyouka carrying Atsushi's sensless body just launches herself for several meters straight into the sea, and Kunikida somehow manages to catch them exactly on the fly. How are they still alive

sometimes I think about how cruel people have been to Samuel Roukin because he’s not the perfect, chiseled, model looking guy they imagine Ghost to be and get so sad :(
Cause like… he’s so fine?? Have you seen the man with a beard?? I’m tearing my hair out
I think people just don’t like that he’s not as bulky as Ghost is but like?? Doesn’t give anyone the right to downright bully him, c’mon people
first and foremost, i’m sure that guy does not care what weirdos on the internet are saying about him because picking apart someone’s appearance is such a loser activity and he’s an adult
secondly, if people actually want someone as anatomically accurate as the way they draw or headcanon simon? they’re going to be shit out of luck because nobody looks like that
saw a gif of the guy the other day, he’s sexy idk

Let me introduce you to the pets!
Grim
Tumblr media
My service dog, a Blue Heeler/Lab mix. His birthday is October 13th and he is 2! He works for several things with me, like PTSD, dissociation and POTS.
Marvel
Tumblr media
My gf's puppy, he is 1 ½ and a pittie mix (possibly boxer?). His birthday is 13th of April.
Phoenix
Tumblr media
My partner's retired service dog! She's turning 7 on November 13th! She is a Lab/Blue Tick Hound, and currently her favorite hobby is acting out because of my partner going back to work.
Nova
Tumblr media
She's our foster! She is 7 months, a Blue Heeler/Catahoula Leopard Dog, and in training as a service dog for hearing loss and PTSD. Her birthday is April 10th. She only got here Wednesday and has been settling in amazingly. She picks up on things so fast, and I will be going out with her future handler to get her more things tomorrow.
Jax
Tumblr media
Jax is my gf's cat, he is 10 now, and a Hurricane rescue. He's got some thyroid issues and getting old, so he doesn't leave the utility/cat room much.
Goliath
Tumblr media
Him and Hubba Bubba have only lived here since yesterday! My partner adopted Goliath and it turned out he had bonded to Hubba Bubba, so I now have a cat as well. His birthday is estimated to be 09/2021, so he is 3. He is very cuddly but likes his own space, and he is massive, so the name fits.
Hubba Bubba
Tumblr media
Hubba Bubba is the other cat we got yesterday. His birthday is estimated to be the same as Goliath, 09/2021. He is lovey and cuddly, and I have spent most of this evening having him come up to me for love and cuddles. He is absolutely jacked, hence why he looks a bit chunky. But he isn't, just 50/50 fluff and muscle. He is everything I ever wanted in a cat.
Sam
Tumblr media
A bearded dragon! We rescue exotic pets, and Sam is one of them. He is about 1 now, and a bit of a bully. He has repeatedly mistaken a freckle on my arm to be a bug, and also made himself at home in my hoodie pocket.
Dean
Tumblr media
Another beardie! Dean is about as old as Sam, and makes up what he lacks in brains in sheer audacity. He has not figured out the concept of glass, or that he can not eat two roaches at once. But we love him!
Ozymandias (Ozzy)
Tumblr media
Ozzy the Ball Python, my partner's snake. He is also not much older than the beardies and mostly keeps to himself, but he does like to be a bracelet sometimes.
There are also Miles, my hamster, and Kihe, my gf's leopard Gecko. Tumblr restricts me to 10 images though, so I'll see what to do about that!
We also do dog daycare/boarding through Rover, and I am working towards getting my trainer certificate. In the meantime, I am working for a low cost as a dog trainer locally.

Actually I've been talking about flat coated retrievers a lot (FOR GOOD REASON) but like... Dutch Shepherds are the Ultimate dog to me. The drive, the look of an FCI dutchie, the versatility, and they are SO handler oriented. I met my first dutchie when I was 19 (she's my profile pic!) and I got to play fetch with that dog and I have NEVER had a game of fetch quite like that with any other dog. She was laser focused on me and on the ball, very intense but in the best possible way. Like all that existed in that moment was me and the ball and it was so cool to see that from a dog. Also I watched her do multiple 6 foot vertical jumps in a row when I first walked into her owner's house and really how could that NOT make me fall in love with dutchies????? I'm pretty sure she was a KNPV dutchie, and even though I have zero interest in a KNPV dog, I have heard amazing things about FCI dutchies and how they're a little less crazy/intense than their KNPV counterparts and that just sounds like a win win to me. While I love a dog for their working ability, having that be tempered a little bit so they can exist as a normal dog who isn't neurotic and constantly wanting to work is ideal, and, even though looks aren't everything, DAMN if FCI dutchies aren't the prettiest damn dogs ever

Scratch board progress!
Addy: ... will need an eye on her & fewer sessions bc she's Enthusiastic and has actively ground down her nails already wtf 😂 she loves the slappy scratch game
Spring: isn't so sure this game is still fun and may need better treats? Not sure. He's not doing badly though, may have just been an off night! He's also just less food motivated than the other two, so not being hungry or having the wrong treats throws him off more.
Emma: is now willing to step over the scratch board, and will take treats off it while I have it tilted up. Was also willing to nose under the end of it a few times for treats! More confidence in touching, moving around it, and having the board change positions!
And just as exciting if not more, she was actively eager & wanting to interact for treat game, with no coaxing necessary!! Many times when treats come out, she's been Worried bc it meant doing something new/scary. But she's been getting more and more interested as time goes on & nothing bad really happens.
And the scratch board is a fully novel item that she's only ever gotten yummy food for, so she has nothing but positive associations and the difference is VERY apparent from things she's had stressful experiences with (crate).
