i think subaru is very handsome, like his brothers, but he dont know it, he dont realize how good looking he is. i can imagine subaru being constantly approached by his classmates, both woman and men, but since he ghe way he is, his appearance got overpowered by his personality.

to start off with this man. i have some thought on his behavior. like have you guys seen how jelaous he is? he is maybe the most childish one out the sakamakis when it comes to jealousy. and thats canon for me.

As much as I love The Owl House for its lgbtq rep on the big screen coming from Disney, I feel like Ducktales 17 should really get more credit then it deserves for its rep! I mean literally they walked so TOH can run!

Oh man I finished watching the new Chip ‘n Dale movie on Disney + and I have a lot to say about it! Spoilers if you haven’t seen it yet!

- I absolutely admire that they were able to incorporate so many different animation styles in this movie!

-The 2d animation is interesting and i dont hate it so that says a lot!

- The story that was told, I enjoyed it and I liked the mix of toons and the living world living together

- The elements used in this movie are really cool!

-CAMEOS!!

-I like that they brought back Gadget’s original VA for this movie

- Ugly Sonic…?!?!? And they fact they brought in the original animation style that the first Sonic movie was supposed to use before the movie got delayed and we got the new style

- Gadget and Zipper have kids? Idk how to feel bout that! 42 kids… and counting??!?! WHAT?!

- After seeing the scene where Chip and Dale were about to be bootlegged in that machine the first time, it actually freaked me out

- I absolutely loved the callbacks to the original show! So smart and since I started watching the original show I absolutely loved that!

-The Disney Afternoon era references, Genius!

Anon the thought of Satoru keeping his infinity off for Suguru and Shoko exclusively and of Suguru being still an exception even after everything till the very end keeps me up at night it’s my favorite headcanon I !!!! love just how deliberate on Satoru’s part every received touch is, it makes the fact that he’s willing to be touched by them so much more significant  😭😭

in return though, you had to stay on facetime with him

everyone dropped by behind renjun to and mouthed thank you to you bc of your heroic act

it goes the same to you too- renjun would usually be the only one to pull you away from studies and get you to eat and sleep

your whole family knows him at this point as well

you know that story where he bought his cousin (?) an album and asked who her favorite is from his group?

he’d probably do that with your siblings or cousins

dates with him are chill

museum dates are a thing of course

and he’d definitely tell you youre the most beautiful art he has ever seen every time 

other dates will be in art cafes or at the dorms 

if youre both really free, you two might fly out to see his family (⁰▿⁰)

along the way, you’d be surprised at the number of actions he uses to make you fall for him even more without him knowing

you and him dont really believe in the saying that you need to find your other half

Jisung

the child-like, extra-ordinary boyfriend

as old as he is, he still needs your full attention when youre with him

he grew up with having the dreamies as older brothers who do a lot of stuff for him

and his hands... his big hands are sure to be destructive

he knows about it so he doesnt really mind when all of your attentiveness is all on him

this boy isnt aware on how to do a number of things in his life so he’ll definitely be thankful if you can teach him!

be prepared to be in some sort of communication with him whenever he’s doing something he usually doesnt (washing the dishes, doing laundry, making a smoothie, etc.)

youre the only one allowed to laugh at him. no one else

you do have a time limit though bc one time you laughed at him for more than a minute straight and he kinda got ??? pouty 

jisung is still young, so his feelings are often not handled or brought up well

that one time you laughed at him? yeah that lead him to ask you with 

“do you think im enough to be with you? dont you think im too immature, y/n?” 

and youre like “no baby omg of course you arent!! 🥺”

besides that incident, you have to reassure him that he’s never too naive in a lot more days

you dont mind though bc what you said is true anyway

he really isnt childish, he just needs to know more about adult-ing

you tell him that in your opinion, being childish and child-like can be two very different things

bc one thing you love about him is actually his child-like tendencies

its the thing that helps the two of you have fun and make beautiful memories

jisung is no doubt an exceptional guy to be with

he doesnt know much,,, but at the same time he knows too much as well?

his thought process is:

you like flowers? there will be infinity roses delivered by your door

you like accessories? here, take this other necklace that he bought so you two can match

he’s also so spontaneous

youre bored? well then the sun is up and so is he for a day at the amusement park

and all of those are actually counted as dates by the two of you

but chenle told him that he should bring you to a restaurant and not to a 7/11

so he schedules a monthly fancy date for the two of you

but dates are often just at the dorms or his house

Now im not gonna say 'dont feel bad pls' bc I know that's not really useful but what I do think is useful is just discussing why that anon and many others feel the need to respond that way. As someone who follows a lot of writing blogs myself and have done for a long time, i've seen my handful of favourite writers come and go for different reasons, lose motivation for a while, gain motivation for a while, go from multi to single fandom, or single fandom to multi. Often times as a reader it can be upsetting when things change but it's also important as a reader to understand that some things aren't in anyone's control, I can't control what my favourite writers become a fan of or lose interest of, I can't control things in their personal lives that may motivate or demotivate them to write, but what I can do is support them as long as they're active, and if they move on to do things i'm no longer interested in or i'm the one that changed interests, rather than being upset that they're evolving to do other things or that they're not evolving with me, I think it's important that I still feel thankful for the works that I enjoyed while we were still on the same page and this is how I personally deal with those negative feelings. I think the anons that lash out at you probably just dont know what to do with themselves, maybe they got attached to your works while you were still only a jjba blog and now that you're evolving they're upset, while I understand how they feel, they're going the completely wrong way about it. I've learned to take these things and turn them into something positive for myself or at least something bittersweet that I can move on from but the anons that lash out at you for whatever reason probably haven't learned this yet. Maybe it's because i've moved on and changed interests a lot myself that I know how these things go for both writers and readers but those anons maybe haven't experienced this as much so they dont know what to do with themselves other than complain that you've changed and throw insults at you in an attempt to get you to revert back. None of this is because of the quality of your writing like they want you to believe, it's literally just because you've evolved and while some of your old followers might not like the new content for no reason other than it not being their cup of tea, it's definitely not regressed at all. You are pumping out a lot of content right now but every single thing i've read has just been better than the last. Things that really stand out to me is how well you get characterisation down to a T and all of your dialogue is just on point and from the pov of a reader I think those things seem the hardest to get right so I am such a huge fan of your stuff at the moment and I can tell you're really putting so much thought and care into each and every fic no matter how fast you're producing it, I think the fact that you're also proud of what you're writing at the moment really shines through as well and I just adore the passion that radiates from every completed request as well as in the responses for the subsequent thirsts resulting from these works that appear in your ask box later (I know i've sent quite a few by now~)

Just to be clear i'm not defending those anons in any way, while I can understand what they might be feeling/why they're reacting in the way they are I still believe it's just so immature to be hateful online point blank. Even during a time where I still got upset with writers if they started doing something else I still never targeted that negativity directly to the writer and sending rude or hateful comments whether on anon or not never something i'd stooped low enough to do even when I still had an immature way of thinking, however, I hope that it might make it a little easier to brush them off if we try and understand what they're really upset about, and that they're just putting the blame for their negative feelings onto the wrong thing rather than coming to terms with change themselves.

hello anon!! i appreciate the long message. i do feel bad for people who have no interest in what i’m currently producing and i get that they feel upset about it; i’ve watched a lot of fellow jojo writers move on completely or just stop posting, honestly. this kind of thing is why i was so intense about asking people if it would be better if i made a separate blog but the resounding answer seemed to be ‘i’m just vibing with whatever happens and i’ll block tags as needed’. 

i often return to works by my favourite reader-insert writers who no longer write for the fandoms i like (and i read stuff bc it sounds interesting or i trust the person who writes it), but change can be difficult and i guess at this point i’ve - whether u like me or not lmao - been a fixture in jojo reader-insert tumblr for a While so it’s probably kind of jarring.

Part 1: Hey! I love your art/OCS and your blog has introduced me to your friends who also have awesome OCs. This made me notice that Tumblr and Twitter seem to interact with original characters differently. I'd love to meet people and friends who'd like to interact with my OC doodles, but Twitter feels like a difficult space to get interaction, despite more artists moving over there. Whereas years ago, I had ask blogs for my fan-made and original characters which received plenty of interaction.

hi! yeah, from my experience twitter is a lot more eh... hostile when it comes to looking for interaction. it's a site that runs on people making short slapstick posts, with very limited characters, so people generally cant even talk a lot about their ocs in the first place. twitter also hides long threads, condenses them in your feed so you dont really see them

most artists have moved there bc of the nsfw ban, and generally twitter has a lot more users, so its a lot easier to find an audience IF, and only IF you already have a couple people to spread your posts around, bc twitter doesnt have the same kind of tagging system as tumblr does

ive definitely found more artists to follow through twitter but because of the super fast paced nature of the site (and also my short attention span) i dont really have time to get to know about peoples ocs at all

to answer your questions though:

1. posting on tumblr now gets me a LOT less interaction/notes than it used to. legit. i get maybe, 100-200 notes tops on normal posts when years ago i used to get twice or three times that. i get SOME more on generally popular ocs/designs bc people are like oohhh ahhh aesthetic but yeah. HOWEVER, it DOES occassionally get me curious people asking questions about my ocs which is ultimately what i really want. posting on twitter gets me a lot more attention (i mean, fucking compare my latest art, 340 notes on tumblr versus 4k total on twitter) but all the interaction with that tweet is people going 'oohh ahh thats so cool!!' but on tumblr SOMETIMES MAYBE i get questions going like ‘so based on ur last art, does oc do X’ or i get anons saying funny shit and its rly nice, i dont rly get that on twitter a whole lot 

2. dont fucking know how i drew in my crowd. i wish i did though so i could avoid it lmao. ii know back in 2015 i racked up a bunch of people/notoriety bc of httyd2 and i kinda rode that out into dragons and then creatures and then edgy stuff. i also am usually the one going out to people and going ‘wow ur ocs are sick bro can u tell me about them pwease’ especially on here bc again, its so much harder to do that on twitter

last notes: 

- ive seen ppl on twitter make side accounts specifically for oc talking. i myself have a personal account where i just go off abt ocs on occassion, but its also my private account that maybe 4 friends have total, i dont allow random people in. i rly wish i could do that on here though o

- on twitter anything you post will be gone from peoples feeds in 24 hours roughly. thats just how it is. you dont see people retweeting things that are super old unless the artist themself rts it and gets it circling for a day or two more. and yet without doing jack shit i have posts of mine circulating here on tumblr for fucking years, inexplicably. people are still reblogging my httyd posts, and following me for some very specific fanart i made in 2017 and i am like.why are you here. how did you find this 

- i HAVE seen my shit stolen/ripped off on tumblr a lot more than twitter though, but i think thats just because its easier for ppl on twitter to slip under the radar if they never interact with u. who knows though i havent exactly studied this

Hi! My names arthur and im working on improving my word and building my story, which currently has no name haha! I have a myriad of characters who ill try to list out and give brief descriptions of, aether is technically my main character and some of the characters who are up for question are dead in canon. But you can still ask them stuff, itll just be set before death.

Your entire rant resonated hard w me bc i acc have an art blog myself but its kind of underground (i made it at the beginning of 2020 in hopes that i could gain some sort of audience cuz i occasionally post on it) and i always wanted to be a [big shot] artist. I have been struggling with severe negative artistic self view and i also do the grave mistake of comparing my art to others every so often WITHOUT EVEN REALIZING AT FIRST like i see some art i like, i rb it then my mind does this thing where its like "ok god i WISH THAT WERE ME tho" and i just ????? I feel the same regarding doodles and studies, as u said, i'd prob feel better breaking and twisting my spine on a piece continuously for one week but i legit dont have the time, patience and overall energy for that kinda shit☠☠☠ i think it boils down to every individual, some love posting and spending hours and hours on a piece, others center around doodles and small projects. Trust me im still so mf overly critical of myself despite the fact that im doing relatively better compared to last year but its almost as if when im rlly proud of smth and i post it and it doesnt gain as many notes (which ik isnt a clear indicator of quality but yknow) i just go like "damn ok then" dbsbxbns if u would like to talk abt such matters im here🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶

I really do feel you. I know being negative and beating myself down about my art is like very counter productive but I got into the habit a long time ago and now I can't seem to get out of it as easily as I started. I know every artist struggles with some form of it and you only see the finish product not the time it took to make it or progress. It's a very shitty situation because most of the time you only see the creative process from YOUR point of view and only see the end products of others. But even with all this information it's like it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if other artists struggle or feel the same way, they push something out, they get a good piece and yet you don't. You still compare even if you don't mean to, you're upset you can't be them or at their level and you wanna get feedback, you wanna have people look at your art you wanna make people laugh or whatever it is you hope to accomplish but to you it just looks incorrect because it will forever be YOURS. And I don't know how to get comfortable with my progress, where I am with my art currently or the fact my art will always be mine. I'd say it's nice to hear you feel that same way but I never like hearing people suffer the same viewpoint about their art, it just makes me sad that they gotta deal with the same shit. Makes me wish I could help but ya know kinda hard to. I guess I hope we both push past it. That's a good idea though. sitting on something and maybe coming back to it at a later date even if it is finished. I hear artists do a lot of WIPs. I honestly never have, I think I have one but I've never really strived to make art that took more then one session or I was too fast and quickly finished it up in the one session it took. I'm just learning I gotta take more time with my art, think things through, give it the love it deserves even if it's kinda stinky. Toontown headcanons and lore

i havent made a new Toontown blog yet but i still wanna post this bc Im Love Toontown. this is a post of headcanons and lore i have for my Toontown universe!

(warning for mentions of violence, injury and death, shouldnt be too bad but jic)

my Toontown story is a bit more on the mature side, more mature than the game actually is (think pg-13). kinda inspired by how some others have a slightly more mature approach to their Toontown lore/story as well, which i think is really neat!

the lore for my Toontown universe isnt the exact same as the lore for any Toontown private server, it mostly branches off of Toontown Online while borrowing some elements from Toontown Rewritten's lore and Who Framed Roger Rabbit

1. what are toons made out of?

the way i see it, id say toons are both organic and made out of ink and paint, like 50% organic and 50% ink and paint. most of that ink is in their blood and inner parts/organs, though it can also be found in other parts of their body along with paint. toons can be partially made out of different types of ink and sometimes other art stuff as well, and that could an equivalent to different blood types

2. can toons be hurt by gags?

oh yes absolutely! obviously if the intent is malicious, a toon can be hurt by gags and if the damage is severe enough, possibly even die from it. though thats not the only factor, it also depends on how that toon is already feeling. if a toon hates gags/is in general just not feeling it, they can also be hurt or killed by gags whether or not the intent is malicious

so basically, if the intent is malicious, gags can hurt toons. if the toon hates gags or is just not in the mood for jokes and shenanigans, gags will hurt them too, even if the intent was good/neutral

toons can also die in some ways regular people can die (though humans dont exist in Toontown), although theyre generally much more resistant to any cause of death that isnt based in toon physics. Dip will 99% of the time kill a toon, and even if they survive theyd require intensive care, because even if a toon isnt killed on contact from Dip, it can still make them sick later on and kill them that way

3. where does Toontown take place/where is Toontown located?

i headcanon that Toontown is located near Los Angeles and is next to Hollywood. theres also surrounding cartoon cities/towns/etc next to Toontown as well, although none are quite as big or populated. Toontown is basically the main hub, and the only one of these places cogs have been invading as the others have stayed under the radar, though that doesnt mean those are all in entirely good shape either. theres probably some ghost town near Toontown that was abandoned before the cogs started invading

the in-game districts are also actual smaller locations surrounding Toontown as well, mainly Toontown Rewritten's districts before its 2.0 update. for example, Fortissimo Forest is an actual forest, Avant Garden is an actual garden area (probably next to Daisy Gardens), Renaissance River is an actual river, Graphite Gulch is an actual gulch, so on and so forth. they also all resemble the art/music era or term they were named after, so theyre all completely different. theres also different neighborhoods in Toontown beyond the in-game ones too

4. are toons inherently good/are cogs inherently evil?

no to both. most toons are good bc thats the environment they grew up in. most cogs are evil bc they were programmed that way during manufacture, though a lot of cogs are also just made to do menial work. any toon can become evil (some are evil almost from the start) and any cog can be reprogrammed to be good, or even become good on their own

some toons and cogs are neutral or morally grey, and arent really aligned one way or another. some toons work for cogs, and some cogs befriend toons. some toons are pretty violent and will go out of their way to hurt or even kill/murder other toons, or get into other untoony mishaps as a whole

while Toontown is still mostly wacky and happy-go-lucky, its also become somewhat dysfunctional because of the toon-cog battle having gone on for a while

5. what kind of technology exists in Toontown?

radio and television exist in Toontown, and those are the toons' primary sources of entertainment. television channels in this universe are the equivalent of american television channels in the 20th century, except ofc more toonified. computers also exist but theyre like those big bulky desktop computers, and mainly just used by toons or cogs for research. social media doesnt exist in this universe, and the internet doesnt either besides a few different sites

well i live in a two story house so the kitchen is downstairs and im usually lazy busy so since i have a mini fridge upstairs i just usually get water to drink while im writing. its kinda hard to eat and write cuz i loose focus really easily so when i am writing i am writing! i am in the zone! but if i am a little hungry ill usually snack on candy like chocolate kinder joys i love them but they r so expensive or snack on chips but i get like salt on my fingers or i like cheetos so cheetos dust and that just gets everywhere and later my hands and keyboard kinda smell like fart. 3. What do you do to combat creative burnout?

so burnout happens to me a lot so to get inspiration i either read other stories or fanfics which gets my head gears turning or i admire a piece of art or photography or a song. whats so unique and satisfying with writing you can explore and go anywhere with it, hehehe erotic if you know what i mean lol jk there are no barriers with writing just your imagination. there is inspiration any where you go and id advise to never stop writing. even if its a few short sentences or paragraphs about anything even bird poop its still progression and your mind is working and your searching for words like its all good for you bby.  4. Do you use (or like to use) prompts?

5. What is your favorite place to write?

lol boring, i know but my room. my room is really bright in the mornings and comfortable and chill and i have a candle of the pandora ride in disney that smells like the ride so its all good and relaxing and super peaceful plus i have a picture of myself the age of like 9 on my desk idk why but it encourages me and makes me focus to make sure i never get that cringy again. 

6. What is a hobby or yous that you usually don’t talk about?

well i like working out HAHAHAHAHA jk that was a joke...get it...cuz i much rather be eatingokillstop. but i really like to draw which i have a art page you can see it if you click here pls look at my failed attempts to be hip and cool with the cool kids and being artsy fartsy. another hobby is i really like to do makeup and nail art, nail art is really tough guys no joke if you do it like you got wizard powers are something. maybe its bc my nails are shorter than pete davidson and ariana grande’s relationship, alright im trying to stop i swear!

7. Do you play an instrument? Which one?

no i wish though. i always wanted to learn to either play the piano or electric guitar cuz H.E.R looks so cool doing it.

it sucks dont even try me. my sister can barely read it like no wonder nobody wants to steal my signature heck they can’t even read it!

9. Can you tell us of a story that marked your development as a person? As a writer?

ok sit back guys, sniff a nice amount of crack and get ready for the most cringy moment of my life but also a time when i knew i was meant to be *inhale* a fanfic writer. 

so it was elementary school, i think 3rd grade and for my writing assignment we were given a prompt of idk what the heck tbh i think it was like be outside the box and im like ok imma nail this cuz im a weird child and yeah so i got my papers and pencil and i went TO TOWN on this paper. so i wrote two stories. one short story with a picture to go with it and one long story that yeah i buried years ago. so my first story was about a farmer was about that farming life. he had chickens and dairy. so i cant remember if the cheese was spoiled but doesnt matter. anywho these cheese and a chicken were alive like they could talk in the story and i gave them faces, yikes. but the whole story was the farmer was a b*tch and he was trying to eat the chicken and cheese so they hatched a plan to get away from the farmer. they did it successfully and they ran away. yay happy ending my teacher actually liked that one me too and my school mates were thinking what they heck is this girl on i made a story about how me and justin bieber made cookies for Christmas you know. so then my other story i was more proud of this one cuz it was a tone of paper, sorry trees, and this story was about how a female hippo (girl i was all about plus size and thicker girls and no body shaming) and an male ostrich were kidnapped from their own habitats and taken to become circus animals. failed version of Madagascar hey mine was before the circus movie OK THEY STOLE IT FROM MEEEEE. so they get taken and are treated to harsh punishment and the animals can talk and i think its in the point of view of the male ostrich guy thing. they are in the circus and they start to have this relationship happening. love starts blossoming its all good. im happy with this cuz i believed in love at age of 8. they find a way thru a kick butt scene of the animals escaping and the hippo and ostrich are so in love that they run away together and they have half hippo half ostrich babies and i think i named the species  hipstrich or like ostppo idk but i was so proud of this story and when my teacher read it she was worried about me lol i think she thought i might like mate these two animals like secretly idk but she was like it was ok and i was like what this is frickin William Shakespeare writing or like F. Scott Fitzgerald writing. nevertheless it taught me a lesson that nobody else needs to like what im writing the main point and only thing that matters is if your proud of it and you like it and i really did. i will remember that story forever and thats what made me want to be a writer. lol sorry that was a lot.

1. What is your favorite book?

fifty shades of grey hahaha naw my favorite book is obv you all know this is series of unfortunate events but i never usually cry period and i never cry for books ever so when i read mrs. tom thumb by melanie benjamin, its the part when her sister minnie dies i cried so hard idk it was just emotional the wording the way she described her pain it was so beautiful written yet so sad and that was just amazing to me cuz im like this book made me feel things and im like wow i would love to write a book one day and make someone feel something whether it be sadness anger happiness annoyance anything they are having an emotion and that is super powerful to do that with just words. pls go check out that book its a good read. also im a fan of the greatest showman so i really enjoyed it. there are many other books tho that i thoroughly enjoy so much. 

2. What piece that you’ve written are you most proud of?

oh my god ive always wanted to be asked this question hands down i am always proud of my platonic gender neutral tony stark fic called in·con·sol·a·ble window to me i wrote it so sad and i was feeling like depressed lol when i saw peter die in infinity war like i didnt know what to do with my life tbh but im so glad that @impetrichorny requested it tysm i just like how its not based on romance or fluff or happiness it is based on when you lose someone the nightmares and sadness you go through and that there is nothing nobody can do about it except just be there for that person so i really like writing angst and something that was out of the box. ive been thinking tho of doing a part two since the fate of all the characters has changed after endgame. who knows tho. 

3. What is the last song that inspired you? 

well for art it would have to good news by mac miller when i did that kobe bryant memorial on my art page. i dont want to give it away though but ill just say some very powerful womens music inspired my oc writing and making. 

4. How do you feel about letting people read what you write?

at first i was scared cuz i thought i wrote like trash which that feeling kinda doesnt go away like some days i feel that way others i feel confident or it depends on the request it just depends but anyways i was always insecure about my writing so when i started writing it was more like lets see how this goes if not ill delete the whole page. im glad to say it went great but in the begging it was hard cuz i kept putting myself down but i learned to accept or just understand that you keep learning with writing you always learn knew things with writing how you can explain something better or you words get more intricate and people see the improvement and you do too thats why i applaud those who dont speak english that english isnt their first language. you are doing a tremendous job and keep practicing cuz you’re gonna make it to the top. ive also learned that some days are not my days and you can take time off when youre not feeling it when you have writers block. just recollect your juices sip some tea go to the beach relax your mind a little and take as long as you need to come back and give it your all. also comments and reblogs and likes a follows those meant so much to me and encouraged me. thats why i cant express it enough how much all those mean to writers, artist, photographers, anybody who is truly trying their hard in this area of social media. its makes a person happy smile and confident in their writing but first train your mind into loving what you make not what others thing. you have to be happy with the outcome that is what truly matters and what makes your writing the best. look at me getting philosophical. 

5. Do you get distracted easily? If yes with what?

yes and with porn haha i get distracted easily like very easily homeschooling was really tough for me. music distracts me, netflix, the urge to watch david dobrik or unus annus or buzzfeed unsolved on youtube, heck my farts distract me. i gotta be like troy bolton i gotta get my HEAD IN THE GAME!

Ten Niche Interests

Got tagged by my good ole friend @chaotic-archaeologist and I figured it's time to expose my guts yet again. So here we go!

Tanks - what not to love about them? Were invented during the great war, the tanks were firstly designed to be a fort on wheels. Only during WW2 they were used as an independed tactical unit. They still have many flaws, like the odd design of putting the driver right inside the engine, but I guess in the future their design will change. After all, in about 100 years we went from a metal box that houses 23 people to a small and fast moving gun with 3 people.

Ruins - the main reason why I went to archeology and not history. Those fallen stones and mortar have a story to tell, if you only listen carefully. And a skeleton will only make it that much more facinating.

Knitting - funny or not, I was taught how to knit yamacas when I was 16 by my classmates. Its didn't really work out that well for me, so I started to use this new skill to knit puppets. I dont know, I just find the knit (Badam tss). Sadly, last time I touched my knittìng box was when I was still in military service way back when.

Video games - self explanatory. I own several games on Epic Games and Steam, as well as some games for PS1 (yknow, the small grey sony consule from the 90s). Right now I play Old Worlds and Heroes & Generals, and I look forward to start playing civilisations 6.

History - well, technically anything since the beginning of mankind (i.e. the aystralopitecus and their robust friends) and until the WW2 era. What happened afterwards less interest me as I have my parents and grandparents brag about it constantly, and I don't have any desire to look at present times. The eras that are the most interesting to me are the entire iron age (10th-6th century BC, not the european Iron Age which is technically the persian and early helenistoc era but let's not get into that debate alright xD) and the early to middle bronze age, technically till the invention of beer and tea manners in the Levant (2nd millenia BC).

Militaria - anything army and combat. Swords, flame throwers, boots, pins - everything and all. It's facinating to see how military disiplince and traditions have changed throughout the years, from a gang of men with clubs to an elite alpenist unit with night vision goggles and thermal clothes. Just like anything above, it tells the story of a nation. One great example is the Viena's 44 infantry devision that was erased in stalingrad (I dont remember if they were infantry or motorized, it was a while since I've encountered them).

Pins - this is a personal thing. I started collecting pins I find when I was in highschool 8 years ago. My first pin was a tank corp signal company pin that I found in a road-guide camp. The camp hosts Tank crews and is located right next to a tank corp memorial center so it's logical a pin of a tank corp would end up there in the dirt. My collection doesn't have only military pins though, most of the pins I have there are from Loot Crate and places I've visited XD.

Backbacks - gIvE mE mOrE bAgS well in all seriousness, my bags and backpacks collection is the oldest collection I have. I collect them since I'm 10, along-side a plastic bags collection I now use as trash bags and other carrying options. The collection also has some old wallets my mom and I used, as well as 2 wallets that belonged to my grandfather. I might use one of them soon, since the wallet I have now is wearing off. I also have shoulder bags (including one I use right now) and my old school supply bags, as well as old blanket bags and cloth shopping bags.

Art - well that's not news to anyone. I do arts. I learned how to draw from a classmate when I was 16, before that I drew stick figures and cyclamens. I mainly draw scenaries and men, as drawing the female figues brings me the feel of cringe and the will to jump of a cliff (dysphoria amiright). I started drawing animals, however because of Current Year(TM) I didn't have the chance to practice on that. The few arts I actually posted are at @anon-e-also-draws and my ko-fi, as well as my pinterest (shameless plug, I know XD also if you know me since before this blog, you may have seen the arts already).

Vehicles - this is a new-old interest that comes back to me. When I was really young I was always facinated by cars and motor bikes, and after years of doing other things I start to see the glory I saw in those deadly machines. I wqs thinking for the past 6 months about maybe restoring a car in the future. Not now though, as I don't possess the almighty driver's license xD

((Under a cut bc LONG. I’m also posting this from mobile so y’all know the drill if the cut doesnt work))

Said it before and I will continue to say it: Wolfman is the only one I think should write for Raven. So Obvsly the New Teen Titans comics are a good place to start, especially since that’s going Back To The Beginning and covers a lot of the storylines that the cartoon later adapted (excuse the assumption, but I’m definitely gonna go ahead and guess that you’re probably a fan of the cartoon right?). You’ll be in for quite a long read, as the first run of NTT (1980) is 40 issues long while the second run (1984) is nearly 50!

An important aside: Cartoon Raven and Comic Raven are NOT the same. Not entirely, and especially not in the way fanon often portrays her (usually pulling solely from the cartoon & if from the comics, not the ones I’m personally a fan of). Some fans that go in to read for Raven are Surprised by this and either ignore it or fall even more in love with her as a character. I’m in the latter camp, obvsly. Which makes me Valid lmao this isn’t to say that people pulling from other writers ARENT Valid, but considering Wolfman & Perez’s intentions with her as a character and how it’s been skewed and broken over time, I feel like there’s a big disconnect and misunderstanding for those fans. Even if we don’t agree with it, we should be mindful of original Author/Artist intent, and understand what it means when we either ignore instead of criticizing it.

That being said:

If you’re looking for something shorter, Wolfman wrote all 3 of Ravens miniseries! DC Special: Raven has art by Damion Scott (his style took me awhile to get used to and I didn’t originally like it but it’s grown on me a lot since then. So keep that in mind. It’s... a shock but Interesting to me) her second mini takes place in N52 continuity but works very well as a stand alone. Can’t remember the artist there, but I didn’t mind the art TOO much. The stories in both those minis were Trigon-free too as far as the plot went, which was a VERY NICE break. (correction: Raven (2016) (aka White Carnival) actually takes place in Rebirth continuity, not n52 or at least in that weird time between the two? minor but Important detail if keeping continuities straight if ur jam. it still works as a standalone story tho imo, but i guess it was referenced/tied into the Teen Titans run from the time)

My all time fav mini though? (None of you will be surprised) Raven: Daughter of Darkness! The art’s by Pop Mhan, and Wolfman was finally given the opportunity to spread out a story across 12 issues and ooof! The sheer POTENTIAL that he brought along in it! Even after 3-going-on-4 whole decades of writing this character he brings something so consistent to her, and a few fresh things too it’s just *chefs kiss* really nice. I’d recommend maybe reading White Carnival (the n52 Raven miniseries) first, since it’s referenced a few times in DoD, but it’s not absolutely necessary. It’s just cool to see continuity connections even if it’s something as simple as across N52/Rebirth lines.

Not going to speak to the quality of the stories, but Death in the Family and Under the (Red) Hood are obviously regarded as defining stories for Jason. There’s plenty of comics to read leading up to DitF and I would want to encourage you to look up a reading rec list as I don’t have one with me to recommend unfortunately! I tried to start RH&O but just... couldn’t quite get into it, and also had other things I wanted to read first anyways haha. So I won’t speak too much on that run just yet.

As for other batfam members and comics specifically regarding them as a group. I’ve greatly enjoyed No Man’s Land (1999) both as a giant crossover event and for introducing and bringing together a lot of the family (including introducing Cass Cain ofc!). Batman & Robin: Eternal (2015) was actually one of the first storylines I read when getting back into comics, so I have a bit of nostalgia associated with it. Although overall I DONT quite enjoy it as a Cass Fan now, its still interesting in showing a bit of how the batfam mixes and meshes together and the plot is just.... a fuckin rollercoaster lmao. Not necessarily a fun one for everyone tho. Once again it’s a n52/Rebirth Story iirc, so keep that in mind if you’re worried abt what Canon you’re reading in!

I don’t have many more to rec batfam-wise, other than wanting to encourage reading Cass’ Batgirl run from 2000. Its quintessential Cassandra Cain & TONS of fun, at least mostly in the first half haha. Latter was a little *wobbles hand*. I’ve spoken on another blog abt Steph’s time as Robin in War Games, but that’s def one to save for after you’re a bit more versed in these characters I’d say bc it’s.... Big Oof.
