Whether you believe Gob is bi, gay, or some other queer identity, at least we can all band together on the fact that, whatever he is, Gob is certainly not straight.
Tumblr media
People will bring up that one line about friendship from the narrator and ignore literally everything else about the character shown before and after that one comment.
“The narrator said it was just friendship!”
The narrator was also confused immediately after making that comment as to why they agreed to have sex on Cinco when they could’ve just avoided it altogether. He was under the assumption that they weren’t attracted to each other and, by them agreeing to just talk that night instead of sleeping together right then, it meant they were trying to avoid it...only for them to excitedly plan to sleep together on Cinco a second later. They wanted to sleep together; they just also liked each other as people.
Also, friendship doesn’t rule out feelings of attraction. Gob wasn’t emotionally invested in any of his other relationships but he genuinely cares about and likes Tony. And, even if it was purely friendship at the time(which I don’t believe it was, but for the sake of the argument let’s say that was the case), is it impossible for him to develop feelings and realize he’s attracted to Tony later?
Also, Gob slept with him and said it confirmed to him that his feelings were real and that he was truly in love with him. I don’t- I don’t understand how you could interpret that as a straight man who is mistaking friendship for romantic feelings.
“He wasn’t shown to like men before Tony so it doesn’t make sense for him to be gay now!”
Hmm…It’s almost like he was a repressed queer man with internalized homophobia and comphet and a toxically masculine father and was hiding it in fear of what his family and the world would think, which was, like, a major part of his S4 and S5 arc…
A fun little thing I like to do when watching TV is take new information that is revealed to the audience and see how that shines a new light on a character or situation that we may have understood as one thing and now, because of that new information, we now understand was something else the whole time.
So, when given new information regarding his sexuality in seasons four and five, behavior in the first three seasons that wouldn’t necessarily be indicative of him not being straight can be looked back upon with this new information and we can understand what was truly going on the whole time.
Also, that’s just not true. He’s said himself and has been implied to have slept with men in the first three seasons.
Gob likes men. Does he like only men? Or, does he also like other genders? Some other third option that’s applicable here? We may divert on this path but what we can say is that Gob likes men. That, we know.

deeply refreshing to see someone critical of Swift who also like, genuinely likes her. Like i'm neutral to positive on her, but the online discourse has been absolutely rancid. flipping between "Taylor Swift has never done anything wrong ever and she's a fucking genius" and "Taylor Swift is the worst lyricist of all time and also a bad person" is exhausting, so thank you for like. nuance or something lmao
not to make it serious for a sec but i genuinely think that being able to like things that are bad is really important. like I think that it's an important skill to be able to look at something and see what you personally enjoy about it and then take a step back and acknowledge that objectively it's flawed. and to also be able to acknowledge that liking something isn't necessarily an identity or a moral stance. and i think that fandom space in general could really benefit from more people taking the time to learn how to do that. it's okay to like things that are bad
#people ask me sometimes why ill occasionally talk about something i like and then go 'but it's bad' and the answer is usually because it is#i love teen wolf. i love genshin impact. i love detective conan. and i fucking LOVE taylor swift. that doesnt mean theyre good#it just means i like them. and recognizing their flaws actually helps me better identify what i like about them!#it's like. in my mind bad > good is the x axis and i like it > i dont like it is the y axis yk. they're not mutually exclusive#tldr it's not that serious. we can all relax a little#irt taylor swift i do also think she has done some real harm to her fans in enabling them to deflect all criticism of her as misogyny#and i don't think it's fully the fault of these people who are parroting that response bc so much of her marketing has deliberately#reinforced this idea that to be a swiftie is to be a part of a sisterhood and that any attack on taylor is an attack on all of those women#who are in that in-group. when that's obviously not the case. but she's marketed herself as. for lack of a better term. 'girl music'#to the point where it makes her fans feel as though any criticism of the music or the woman responsible for it is an attack on their#personal experience of womanhood/girlhood/sisterhood/etc. and that's how you get all of thess bad-faith accusations of misogyny#i don't necessarily think this was her deliberate goal with her marketing tho because like. on first glance such a strong sense of communit#among fans sounds like a great thing. the friendship bracelets i got at the eras tour movie are really genuinely special to me.#but it does present a problem when your fans are unable to separate how they feel about the community and experience your music has fostere#from how they feel about you as a person. especially when you are a billionaire who absolutely CANNOT be above criticism in this economy#anyway. tldr i love taylor's music and i don't think swiftie hivemind is as deliberately malicious as it may seem#but it's obviously necessary to be able to take a step back and look objectively at what you're participating in.#anyway stream ttpd or don't idc <3#taylor swift

yknow i've seen a few posts talking about people hoping their Rooks can bond with Lucanis over them raiding his chamber-pantry for a midnight snack, but never in a platonic way yet
so i'll be the first. i very much want to experience the profound understanding (and, yeah, very mild judgement) that exists between a woman who just got done experiencing that legendary Grey Warden stamina for the first time and is having difficulty walking, and the man who guards the cheeses.

Okay hear me out--
-Per The Living Force, Sifo-Dyas is a Seeker with a bad reputation for bringing in kids who "make poor candidates" for Jedi training
-Dooku trains Rael Averross as his Padawan, who, brought to the Temple at age 5, is the oldest child accepted to the Jedi before Anakin IS THIS ANYTHING????? Does Sifo-Dyas, super early in his Seeker career, get puppy-eyed by a hungry little street kid Rael and brings him home? The Council isn't too happy, leaning toward no, and Sifo-Dyas goes to his best friend about it? Is this the reason that in TPM, Qui-Gon thinks just demanding that the nine-year-old is his apprentice now is the way around the Council's decision that he's too old to be trained?? Council: We've decided and we're sorry, Sifo-Dyas, at five he's just too old to... Dooku: *lunging into the room* Dooku: ItakeRaelAverrossasmyPadawanLearner!!!! Council: Aren't you like 23?? Council: Also you can't take a five year old as Padawan??? Council: ...actually, this is a closed session, how did you even get in here?!

I just finished watching Scavengers Reign last night and what a fucking show. The most alien alien world I've ever seen in anything, but with a clear internal logic where everything fits together and feels like a real ecosystem. It's wonderful and beautiful and also contains every kind of body horror you can imagine and especially every kind of body horror you can't imagine.
It feels kind of funny to say this, but if I had to compare it to something, it actually feels very much to me like a grown-up version of Hilda.
Hilda is a show about a fantastical version of nature. People have a lot of superstitions about the various creatures and forces that Hilda encounters. Many of them are seen as pests to be scared off or dangerous monsters to be killed. But, whenever Hilda interacts with them, we come to realize that every creature in that show is either 1) just a different kind of people, or 2) just weird magical animals. That crucially doesn't mean none of them can be dangerous or that you don't need to be careful, but just that everything can be understood if you take the time, and most of it you can even make friends with!
Of course that's a pretty optimistic, kid's show friendly view of things. It's a very sweet show and a big part of the appeal is seeing Hilda befriend all kinds of strange things.
Scavengers Reign is a show full of horrors. It's an alien world with an alien ecosystem that humans just don't fit into. The show doesn't shy away from the fact that these creatures prey on each other. They parasitize each other (they especially do this). They live and die and new life grows in the remains. It at times feels like a nature documentary of an alien world, showing the beautiful and disturbing reality of the lives that these creatures live.
But despite all the scary and gross and dangerous things, they're still just creatures. Animals and plants and fungi and other much harder to classify things. And like anything else they can be understood, and you can learn how to avoid them or placate them or how to cure the wounds they inflict if that happens. And you can find uses for some of them too, ways you can adapt to this ecosystem and survive in it. It's a show about symbiosis in all the gory detail that entails. About adapting and growing and becoming something new. It doesn't shy away from the danger and horror of that but it doesn't shy away from the beauty and love of it, either. And despite everything I feel like the show is full of a sense of wonder and fondness for the setting.
But ANYWAY the point is that it's a really good show with a really unique setting and a unique perspective. It completely blew me away.

IF YOU SHIP SOUNDWAVE WITH RAVAGE DO NOT FOLLOW ME. DO NOT INTERACT WITH ME. DO NOT TOUCH MY ART
AND SURE AS HELL DO NOT EXPLAIN HOW MY ART IS SEXUAL IN ANY WAY. ITS WEIRD. ITS GROSS. AND ITS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE
If you think cuddling with your family/friends is inherently sexual and/or romantic you’re weird and I don’t want you near my stuff. I’m sorry your family doesn’t show affection but spoiler alert: it’s normal to show familial/platonic affection with people you care about.
If you follow @ / dontpetmeibite or any of their adjacent accounts, BLOCK ME. I’ve already blocked the people who tagged them in my art and I am more than happy to block you weirdos first.

I love how much attention and new content dunmeshi has gotten since the anime started airing and especially after the red dragon episodes, but I can't help but miss the smaller fandom

msp is so nice because this gaggle of teenage boys resolves everything by actually talking about their feelings and the main love interest's defining trait is being the most whipped guy in the history of guys in love and somehow it's genuine enough that it does not come across as boring or overly didactic... like the screenwriters aren't trying to show you An Example, they're just telling a nice story and since they're also making it not just earnest but also silly and goofy at times they're succeeding at actually making television you watch for entertainment. this is probably why it reminds me of shoujo manga like kimi ni todoke. they're just applying the same storytelling methods but on guys. it could've been incredibly boring but it's really well-executed so instead it's a highlight of the week

what do you do when the friendship was ruined bc the other person refused to ever communicate with you and blamed it on you? like i had no clue this person was ever upset with me then suddenly a 180 with them calling me shit at communicating before ending it
I know this is the last thing you want to hear cuz this shit is crazy upsetting to have happen to you but that is NOT someone worth being around and they probably did you a favor getting out of your life that’s the kind of behavior that I’d expect from a 13 year old

fruity is the new metrosexual and my honest to god belief is if you want to call a stranger kind of zesty for wearing too tight pants just replace the new buzzword of the day with the f slur and reconsider your statement

How muscular are you looking for? Also what kind of lighting? Maybe me or someone has an appropriate friend/associate for a mini photo shoot?
Probably like swimmer/runner sort of build. I hate to impose on anyone, but if someone's up to the task I'd hardly refuse. I'm sure I'd come up with something to give them as thanks! I'll be able to figure something out, but good references make everything easier, so here, if anyone wants to take a shot, this is what I'm thinking:
Tumblr media
I only need back references, so pants can stay on! Direct top lighting gives deep light/dark contrast, which is what I'm tentatively planning on.

Guys I've been watching Buzzfeed Unsolved (as you do) and then I saw the thing on Pythian Castle in the recommendations. And I was like "Huh. That's got the same word as the sword I got yesterday."
Tumblr media

It's got the peace lily symbol and everything 😭😭😭😭😭
This is insane. Like I must've watched this episode before, but I have no real memory of it. Yet here I am, finding it again the direct day after I bought a sword from someone in their group hdkshfjd
Crazy coincidence
