Im so sorry im losing my absolute mind but please hear me out for a second.
Mild tw for implied SA - NOTHING ACTUALLY HAPPENED PEOPLE JUST THINK IT HAPPENED
You know the common misunderstanding au in the danny phandom rn about vlad being a creep and people thinking hes like a CREEPY CREEP and not just a supervillain creep?
Well imagine danny is going on break or something and his dad wants to bring the whole family up to vlads castle for whatever reason.
Danny, obviously, does not want to waste his ONE FREAKING CHANCE of getting some god damn sleep being tormented by vlad and his stupid birds. Plus, vlad will probably plan some big murder plot for his dad and danny CAN. NOT. HANDLE. THAT. RIGHT. NOW.
So danny decides to make a PowerPoint presentation about why he doesnt want to go.
Obviously he cant reveal vlad or his own halfa status so its mostly just really jumbled information about vlad being creepy.
He gets backup from sam, tucker, jazz, and even val. He also knows his mom already dislikes vlad and knows hes a total creep so all he really needs to do is convince his dad.
But??? As hes compiling evidence??? And rehearsing his presentation with hes friends??? He realizes that it sounds super fucked up???
And like, it’s mostly just bad without all the context. But he realizes that Vlad is actually kinda sick in the head. Danny knows he would never actually do something that terrible, but its supper concering how similar his actions are to like, actual bad people.
Danny isnt mad about it or anything, he’s actually just worried about it Vlad.
Danny is not perfect by any means. But Vlad is the only other member of his species besides, like, his fucking clone (which holy shit Vlad what the fuck) or maybe dan who is also fucked up.
Danny knew that Vlads death definitely messed him up, but he never really thought about Vlads actions beyond “obsessive fruitloop, at it again :/“ and is just now realizing that vlad might need psychological help. Which he feels pretty (REALLY) bad about.
Danny has no idea what to do, and no idea who to go to.
So he sneaks out, doesnt even go ghost as he takes the powerpoint to vlad who obviously freaks tf out because holy shit thats SO MUCH WORSE THAN ANYTHING HE COULD HAVE POSSIBLY IMAGINED. What if he had actually hurt daniel? What if he had hurt his precious Madeline?? He needs help like yesterday! How did he ever get so bad???!
So Vlad freaks, trashes his own house, apologizes to danny, and books it through the portal to find the far frozen or somewhere else he can get help.
Danny is somewhat shellshocked about the whole situation. It doesnt get better when people start investigating Vlads disappearance.
The state of the manor indicates foul play and the police look into it further. Find security tapes. They see danny, frazzled and paranoid, enter Vlads property, everything goes to static, and only danny leaves.
Hes arrested of course, and he and his friends/family are interrogated.
Everybody vehemently denies that Danny would ever do such a thing, but when they are asked if danny has potential motives everyone (except for jack) gets all squeamish.
Its practically common knowledge in Amity Park that the mayor and the weird Fenton child had beef. People just were unsure why.
I think it would be really cool to focus a story around the polices pov of the investigation/ random Amity Parkers interpretation of the events.
Danny being kinda creepy after the accident (because death) could totally make people assume he did it and that would be awesome.
We can also add in de-aged Dani/Ellie and or Dan for that extra spice.
Imagine the fentons finding out about Dannys supposed kids in the context that they are MOTIVES FOR THEIR SON TO MURDER THEIR COLLAGE FRIEND ( AND DANNYS OWN GODFATHER) WHO APPARENTLY GROOMED HIM???!? AND THEY DIDNT EVEN NOTICE??!?
This could totally be a crossover too. Lucifer tv show. Batman. Supernatural. All are good.
Anyway, thought this could be kinda interesting

Bruce has another kid........but this one is not adopted
It started with a mission. Bruce had caught wind of strange paranormal disturbances in a small town called Amity Park. Reports of “ghost sightings” and a local teen hero known as “Danny Phantom” had reached the Batcomputer. Most dismissed it as urban legends or a publicity stunt, but Bruce wasn’t one to ignore a potential threat—especially when these sightings coincided with spikes in dimensional energy readings.
Taking Tim and Damian along, Bruce decided to investigate.
The Bat-plane landed under cover of night just outside Amity Park. The small, seemingly ordinary town was eerily quiet. The only sounds were the hum of streetlights and the occasional echo of a distant, unnatural wail.
“This place is giving me... weird vibes,” Tim muttered, adjusting his tech-enhanced goggles.
“Focus, Drake,” Damian snapped. “We are not here for your feelings.”
Tim rolled his eyes but stayed silent as they followed Bruce toward the FentonWorks lab, the epicenter of the disturbances according to their data.
As they approached the lab, the trio suddenly heard a commotion. A glowing, green figure phased through a wall, yelling back at someone inside.
“I told you, Skulker, I’m not in the mood for another ‘hunt’ today!” Danny Phantom shouted, blasting the air with an ectoplasmic beam that sent a mechanical ghost retreating through the night sky.
The Bat-family froze.
“That’s him,” Bruce said quietly, narrowing his eyes. “Danny Phantom.”
Tim activated his scanner. “Readings are off the charts. His energy signatures are unlike anything I’ve seen. Definitely not human... or entirely human.”
Danny turned mid-air, his glowing green eyes locking onto the trio of vigilantes below. His gaze lingered on Damian for a fraction of a second before he floated down, his posture wary but non-threatening.
“And you guys are...?” Danny asked, crossing his arms.
“Batman,” Bruce said, stepping forward. “We’re here to investigate the unusual phenomena in this town. That includes you.”
“Great. Another set of people thinking I’m some kind of freak,” Danny muttered under his breath before straightening up. “Look, I don’t know what you’ve heard, but I’m just trying to keep the ghost attacks in check. So unless you’re here to help, maybe stay out of my way?”
As the conversation continued, Bruce noticed something odd about Danny. There was something familiar in his facial structure, his stance, even his voice. It was faint, but undeniable.
Later, under the guise of investigating the Fenton lab, Bruce covertly collected a sample of Danny’s DNA—left behind on a napkin when Danny had grabbed a snack.
Back at the Batcave, the results left him stunned.
Bruce returned to Amity Park and requested to speak with Danny privately. Intrigued—and maybe a little suspicious—Danny agreed, letting Bruce lead him to the Bat-plane.
When they arrived at Wayne Manor, Alfred greeted them with his usual calm demeanor. “Master Bruce, your guest?”
Danny raised an eyebrow. “Fancy place. What is this, a billionaire’s bat-cave?”
Bruce didn’t respond, leading Danny to the Batcave below.
Once there, Bruce revealed the DNA results.
“Daniel,” he began, his tone as measured as ever, “you’re my son.”
Danny blinked. Then blinked again. “I’m sorry, what?”
Bruce explained how Talia had kept Damian a secret and revealed that she’d also been pregnant with twins. After Damian’s birth, Talia claimed Danny had been stillborn. In truth, the League of Assassins had stolen him for an experiment, intending to use him as a vessel for Ra’s al Ghul’s essence. When the experiment failed, they abandoned Danny, leaving him to be found by Jack and Maddie Fenton.
“I don’t even know where to start with that,” Danny said, pacing. “You’re telling me my entire life is some kind of League of Assassins soap opera?!”
Bruce didn’t respond, giving Danny space to process.
After a long silence, Danny turned to him. “Does Damian know?”
Bruce decided to bring Danny to the Manor to meet the rest of the family. The reactions were varied—Tim was skeptical, Jason was amused, and Alfred was quietly delighted to have another addition to the family.
But Damian’s reaction was the most intense.

Bats and Phantoms - Part 1
Prompt: All the Phantom/Fenton Siblings end up with one of the Bats and Birds. It's just that neither of the two families know that their partner is related to their siblings' partners.
Danny and Red Hood
Going to Gotham for university was a planned decision, mind you. It was one of their many contingency plans in case the reveal went wrong. Thankfully, it didn't but his parents were still trying to change their views on ghosts for the sake of their children. Last he heard from his parents, Jack and Maddie Fenton were practically harassing every ghost they could find on culture, history, and etiquette. (He's gotten one too many complains from Box Ghost and Poindexter.) Plus the mess that was the situationship between the Fenton Couple and Vlad Fucking Masters. (Dante was about to kill himself again for that).
Gotham had enough ambient ectoplasm for him to be stable. Everything was very normal. Absolutely...
If not for the fact that Danny loathed clowns. When a clown decided to try and attack Danny, what does he do?
He did what every self respecting Fenton would do when faced with something he absolutely hates. He came at him swinging, aiming for the face.
And maybe he put a little too much power into the punch and the next thing he knew, a body was flung against a wall and breaking it on impact. Danny stares at the toppled wall and—HOLY SHIT HE JUST KILLED THE JOKER.
Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck—BATMAN WAS GOING TO KICK HIM OUR OF GOTHAM!
But this was the Joker... The last time that crazy fucker got out of Arkham, he threatened to blow up an orphanage. Okay, he could do this. Gotham Harbor it is.
And in typical Fenton fashion, his luck was shittier than ever.
"What the fuck..."
Danny whipped around, freezing in place when he came face to face with the Red Hood. The fucking revenant of Gotham that the city spirit seemed to really favor. Fuck.
"It's not what it looks like! I mean—It is—But, like..." He swallowed thickly, trying to offer a smile but he flinches away when Red Hood snapped his head from the corpse then too Danny.
"That's the fucking Joker!" The Red Hood was pointing a gun at the corpse now, voice distorted and everything.
Yeah. Well. Shit. Danny gulped, finally deciding that since he was already half dead, he might as well clean up. Not like the Red Hood could kill him—I mean, he could, but Danny wasn't going to die by a bullet.
"You—" The gun was now pointed at him.
"It's not my fault he decided to fucking jump me!" Danny immediately argued, grabbing the clown by the legs and dragging him forward before he winced at the trail of blood. "It's a clown! A fucking clown!"
He yelped when the crime lord slapped his hands away from the corpse, "The fuck is wrong with you? Don't fucking touch the corpse unless you want that shit to traced to you." The Red Hood grunted, shaking his head. He sounded... He kinda sounded giddy, in all honesty. Why the fuck was the Red Hood teaching Danny how to get away with murder?
"What were you even going to do with the body?"
Danny cringed away. To tell the truth or not? Such a difficult question... Okay, he's pretty sure most of the Bats were like detectives and lying to this one might get him shot.
"Gotham Harbor?" He squeaked out.
Danny was met with silence and the man built like a fucking fridge (but he's so damn sure that Dan was still the tallest person he knew) didn't move a bit. Then his shoulders shook. And then he was laughing. Fucking shit, the Red Hood was laughing because Danny was going to dump a body in the harbor.
What was Jazz going to say?!
(Meanwhile, Jason Todd finds a strange boy that makes him feel strange, warm—the same boy had killed his worst nightmare. He might just have fallen in love right then and there.)

Can we have more of “Demon and Angel Brat”? I love those demon twins so much, also I’m wondering how the Phantom family is hadling this, are Sam and Tucker also in to this? Does Jazz approves this prank? (Wondering how Dani or Dan will fut in this too)
Danny gets a phone call.
Damian knew his brother's real life would eventually burst the bubble on their fun, but he was not expecting it to be broken this soon into their prank.
The Fentons, of course, knew of their little joke and had been fine with having to speak to Danny in secret. Since their cover story was that Danny was too sick to be anything but support for the Bats- and even then, he would sometimes head to bed early if he wasn't feeling well- it was easy to find a little corner of the Manor for Danny to call home. Though that was usually at three in the morning, the Fentons didn't seem to mind.
Mr. and Mrs. Fenton even gave ideas to have Danny act out in order to scare the Waynes. Mr. Fenton's favorite was making Drake panic by making Danny suggest they do "Dark Magic" then have it turn out to be harmless fun.
Like claiming to want to make love potions for Dowd and then just making some homemade juice for the teenager. Drake looked like he was having a heart attack when Danny busted out potion bottles and edible glitter.
Mrs Fenton, on the other hand, wanted to focus more on logical details. She asked Danny to make wild claims about what he was allowed to do in the Manor. Since Danny supposedly didn't go out much, she felt that he needed to create great memories around the Manor, and thus Danny convinced whoever happened to be walking by to play games with him.
Thomas had pushed Danny on an office chair for almost four hours while his brother pretended to be an airplane pilot. Damian had later seen Thomas, Brown, and Cain pretending to be a prince and two princess trapped at the top of the stairs as if they were locked away in a tower while Danny fought imaginary knights down below.
He thinks Cain only went along with it because she got to wear a big puffy pink dress. Father had ordered costumes for Danny to play with after his brother got back from the history museum with Todd.
Damian knows Todd and Father were also still attempting to pressure the history museum into installing fake historical events that Danny made up. It wasn't going well, but they were making a decent effort.
Still all this fun had only been over the course of two weeks and that seemed to be far too long for Danny's friends.
Thus, the phone call arrived in the middle of dinner with the entire family twisting towards the "sick" twin. Danny stared at this phone, looking as if he had forgotten it could ring before he clicked the call to connect.
""Excuse me I need to take this." He held it up to his ear while standing from table. "Hey Tuck. What's up?"
Damian watches his brother walk out of the room, tugging along his gas tank and heart pack like it was second nature. The large dining room door closes behind him with a soft click, and a few blissful of seconds follow, before everyone starts demanding answers.
"Who's Tuck?" Ricard accused as Damian dabbed his mouth with napkin "Why is this Tuck calling Danny?"
Now Damian could say the truth, could make it easier on his brother and the family, even he liked a laugh every once in a while. After all he was a twin to a mischievous prankster.
"Tuck, is Danny's ridiculous nickname for Tucker Foley. He's Danny's ex" Damian revealed with a hand wave. The family's faces darken (except for Cain and Alfred. One because she knows he's lying, and the other because he thinks it's healthy to date) "Danny broke up with him after their summer fling, and now Foley is dating their other friend, Samantha Manson. Between you and I, Foley and Manson are carrying a torch for Danny and are likely attempting to include them in a throuple."
"I want everything you can find on Tucker Foley and Samantha Manson," Father snaps at Drake, who already had his tablet out and typing a storm on his travel keyboard. Thankfully, Danny had gotten Gordon to fake a Gotham tech camp so his two friends could visit him in the city soon.
It was so Damian could get to know his friends and so that all three could have a break from ghost hunting, but this would be entertaining to watch.
Damian sips his tea, watching Brown and Todd hiss threats under their breaths while Thomas actively cracks his knuckles. He only did that when he was feeling particularly violent.
Drake lets out a noise that he has only ever heard him make when he's about to blow up a building. He twists his tablet around, banging his other hand on the tabletop aggressively. "Bruce, I think things with Foley were more serious than is appropriate for Danny. He's only fourteen!"
It took every ounce of his training not to burst out laughing. On Drake's tablet is a photo of Danny and Foley cuddling while asleep on the floor. It was posted by Manson with the caption "We made some interesting discoveries tonight!"
He knows she meant the purple back gorilla, but the poor girl just didn't have a way with words like she thought she did.
It's that moment that Danny wanders back in, wearing his normal bright and innocent smile. "Tucker and Sam are coming to Gotham. They want to hang out with me at Lover's Lane!"
Damian slams a hand over his mouth, just barely stopping himself from spewing his tea across the table as his family bristles. Lover's Lane was the best spot in all of Gotham to see the city's lights and had some of the best public gardens. A sight people from a small town like Amity Park would adore to see.
It also earned the nickname Lover's Lane for a very obvious reason, but Damian feels Danny has forgotten that part.
"You are not-"
"-Going to want to meet them wearing the same old clothes. Why don't I take you shopping after you finish eating Master Danny" Alfred cuts father off mid rant, sending everyone a stern glare when the family's all look ready to argue "After all, if your friends who clearly remember how much fun they have with you, it would be a pity to have them erase those good memories with a wardrobe malfunction."
Damian should tell his father to give that man a raise.

DP x DC prompt [2]
Danyal returns to league, he was sent to the Fentons for a mission and after gathering all that they know about lazarus/ecto he figured he was in an unique position. Either he revealed himself and was accepted and after that would have to do what he could to keep the league off his back. Or he'd be rejected and he could simply finish his mission and return to the league. Sadly for Danny. The second option ended up happening, and with crushing disappointment and new hardened resolve he made his way back to Nanda Parbat.
At first he's surprisingly at peace with the situation, he misses his friends and Jazz but this is sadly how it's meant to be.
Damian isn't there, he has been sent to train under their biological father. Or at least what mother says. Perhaps now that he's successfully finished his deep undercover mission he'll be allowed to know the truth and go as well.
Ra's doesn't want that, for body snatching reasons. But he doesn't know that Danny is half dead. Nobody at the league does.
It's basically the only secret Danny keeps. After having to stay quiet about it and the explosive aftermath with the Fentons it just doesn't occur to him to speak up about it anymore. After all, here he has everything to lose.
And he feels vindicated when he finds Respawn. Tied up, hanging, looking so much like him and Dami, but wounded, with damning white hair and when he opens his eyes and notices Danny it's only the green green green he sees.
In Danny's mind the league must know, they are bidding their time or... or Danny was always meant to end up like he did or this is yet another damn clone someone made of him.
None of Danny's thoughts about this are good, and it figures, he's aware of what this place is. Jazz did a good job deprogramming him. So perhaps the thought that things would be better here was laughable. But somehow, for some reason he thought blood relation meant something.
So far all parental figures are bad, the Fentons. Vlad, now Ra's and Talia. So what does that mean for his twin, what does this mean for Damian?
Well, at the very least finding out who his biological father is and where he lives isn't hard with ghost powers. Neither is freeing Respawn.
And after that all that's left to do is making sure Damian is safe.
And by the ancients, may the gods help Batman if it turns out he's not.

Prompt: Gotham Baby Switch Mystery (DCXDP)
Gotham City is in chaos. Major breaking news has just surfaced: a nurse or doctor (your pick) has been involved in switching the identities of nearly 200 babies over the course of their career. Gotham PD, working overtime alongside other police departments, has been investigating the swaps. The authorities now have a list of affected families, and the shocking implications are that the child you’ve cared for, loved, and raised with all your heart may not actually be yours. Worse yet, the child you buried may also have been someone else’s.
Among the families affected? The Wayne family. And, understandably, the Batfamily is freaking out. The questions are piling up: Does this mean we have a brother or sister out there in the world? Why hasn’t Bruce told us about this? Chaos ensues.
Bruce Wayne, however, is left with only one certainty: the child he and Talia al Ghul had together, a baby born prematurely. The child spent days in the ICU, and the doctors were hopeful, but ultimately, the baby passed away. That tragic event had driven a wedge between Bruce and Talia, and she cut ties with him. When she became pregnant with Damian, Talia did everything in her power to ensure that her second child would survive to term, determined not to lose another baby like their first.
Faced with the turmoil of this new revelation, Bruce does the only thing he can think of: he calls Talia. He tells her about the baby swap scandal and asks if, given the news, she’d like to meet the child who might be their lost son or daughter. Talia, understandably, is furious. Her emotions boil over. The trauma of burying her child, only to now be told that the baby may not have been hers at all, is too much to bear. Her first instinct is to kill the person responsible for causing this pain.
Still, Talia decides to take Bruce up on his offer. If the League of Assassins and Batman work together to gather information, she wants to know the truth. And of course, Damian has just discovered that he may have an older sibling—and he’s determined to meet them first. He’s not going to let anyone else in the family get to them first, calling dibs on being the first to see the once presumed-dead sibling.
Two months had passed, and there was still no new information about where in the world Bruce and Talia’s child was. However, since the news had broken in the U.S., many of Bruce’s friends had stepped in to help. Lex Luthor and Oliver Queen suggested that Bruce's child might have taken a DNA test, as it was becoming increasingly popular among adopted or orphaned individuals who wanted to find their birth parents or potential siblings—whether through sperm donation or other means.
That’s when they discovered that a 14-year-old kid from a small town in Illinois had done a DNA test. This was how Bruce, Talia, and the Bat family found out that their lost sibling—whom they all assumed was a boy—was alive. The confusion had arisen because, when she took the test, Danny had used her nickname, Danny Fenton, rather than her full name, Danielle Fenton, which led everyone to assume she was male. In contrast, Jazz, her older sibling, had written her full name—Jasmine Fenton—on her own test. So, when the Bat family found the results, they expected a boy but were unaware that Danny was, in fact, a girl.
However, Danny and Jazz’s parents, Jack and Maddie Fenton, had never opened the letter containing the letter explain the whole affair. . It had been sent to the Fenton household, but it was discarded as junk mail, with the Fentons assuming it was another complaint about their family, specifically Jack and Maddie’s eccentric, often controversial, scientific endeavors. No one realized the importance of the letter until much later.
The test results showed two key revelations that shocked both Danny and Jazz. First, the two were not biologically related at all. They were not sisters by blood. Second, the test revealed that one of Danny’s biological parents had Middle Eastern ancestry. This was a detail that Danny hadn’t known, nor had she ever suspected.
Meanwhile, as Danny was undergoing a strange and painful transformation, gaining her ghost powers and becoming a half-ghost, she unknowingly shared this moment with a significant event taking place far from Amity Park. On the other side of the world, John Constantine was battling demons. During one such fight, a particular demon expressed an intense fear, saying, “Are we really going through with this? I thought Lady Gotham would never agree to it. Hell, most of us demons don’t want to deal with her wrath.”
Constantine, intrigued, asked, “Why would a demon like you be afraid of Lady Gotham? I’ve met Batman and his insane family, and honestly, half the time, I don’t even believe they’re mortal. But what does Batman have to do with you? He doesn’t even know you.”
The demon paused, clearly shaken. “There was an event where Cronus ( Clockworks) called together all the demons, all the powerful beings, into the infinite realms. During that meeting, Cronus ( Clockworks) revealed one truth: the Ghost King will wake from his slumber. And only a warrior—not from the land of the living, nor from the Infinite realm—will be able to defeat him. This event will happen in every timeline Cronus has seen. But the parentage of the warrior changes with each timeline. This time, the warrior’s parentage is what scares us. Nobody wants to see the wrath of Lady Gotham.”
Constantine narrowed his eyes, sensing the gravity in the demon’s words. “What are you talking about?”
The demon continued, fear lacing its voice. “The decision that was made—bringing this individual, this warrior, into the fight—has caused a ripple effect across the ancient realms. Some of us, those who are eternal, those who have never known death, have already overstepped. Even some of the observers—beings who are supposed to remain neutral—have meddled. Now we have to deal with the consequences of our actions. And it’s not just us. It’s the entire infinite realm. We’re all doomed. Let us pray, Constantine, that the Ghost King never awakens. For when he does, and the warrior defeats him in single combat... that will be when all of our fears come to fruition. It will be the beginning of the end.”
Constantine’s stomach turned as the weight of the demon’s words settled in. “You’re serious, aren’t you?” he muttered under his breath.
“Deadly serious,” the demon replied. “What they’ve done… is beyond repair. And the worst part is, they didn’t even realize it. The actions of the living—specifically Lady Gotham and her vigilantes—have overstepped a boundary. The warriors of Gotham, the protectors, the police, the citizens—even the Joker—are all unknowingly playing a part in this colossal mistake. It wasn’t Darkside, or any of the other cosmic threats or even Supernatural threats that you and those Heroes have faced, that will bring about the end. NO It’s this one misstep. One moment of carelessness. One action, and now it’s too late.”
Constantine stood there, his mind racing. “This prophecy... It’s not just about one person, is it? It's about the whole damn city, the whole damn world.”
The demon nodded grimly. “Gotham is the key. And once the warrior rises, once the wrath of Lady Gotham is unleashed, nothing will stop it. Cronus himself is holding an emergency meeting about this, trying to figure out how to deal with it. And let me tell you—things are not looking good for anyone.”
Constantine cursed under his breath. He realized that the situation was far worse than he could have ever imagined. If the demon was right, and this prophecy was truly tied to Gotham, then they were all in serious trouble. And what terrified Constantine the most was the thought of Batman finding out that someone—someone he loved—was being manipulated, consciously or not. Batman didn’t care about the methods or the reasons; if anyone he cared about was caught up in a scheme like this, the consequences would be catastrophic.
“God help us,” Constantine muttered, more to himself than to the demon. “Because if this gets back to Gotham… none of us are getting out of this alive.”
So if this post gets a lot of likes I will make a part 2 continuing the story. Because this is something that has been stuck in my mind I just want to share it.

Listen Carefully
Summary: Danny falls in love with Johnny's girl during his interviews.
Warnings: slightly nsfw, angst
Danny leans one elbow forward on his trembling knee, extending the microphone closer as a way to bridge the gap between your bodies. He listens carefully as you confide the secrets of the club. Though he doubts it's anything Johny hasn't told you to say, he's still mesmerized by your every movement, so much so he's barely moved in the past twenty minutes. Cigarette between his lips all but forgotten, he finds he can barely breathe in your presence, let alone smoke. He only becomes aware of the impediment when you dip forward to tug ever so gently at his cigarette, glossy lips parted as though you might replace it with a kiss.
Despite his best efforts to stay cool and detached, the corners of his mouth turn upward in a goofy grin. The heart of a rabbit beating within his chest when you gaze back at him, smile bathing his entire body in honey coated warmth. You twirl a lock of your hair as you hold him under your spell and the effect is instantaneous. His palm lands on the ground, fingers tangling in the tall grass to keep the world from spinning as all the blood rushes to his crotch. Your head cocks to the side as you take notice, eyes flicking downward momentarily, diverting to the tape recorder at the last moment as you ask sweetly, "Do you need anything else, Danny?"
The sound of his name on your tongue could make him cum on the spot, but the loud roar of a motor cycle engine behind him reminds him you're not alone. His hand shifts to the front of his trousers, clearing his throat in a poor attempt to hide his discomfort. "Maybe a few more questions..." he grunts.
Benny cuts his eyes at Danny from across the lawn before taking a swig of whisky. “You believe this guy?” he asks Johnny, hackles up even though you haven't been touched. He stands, ready to charge, but Johnny places a hand to his chest.
“Wait a second. Got a better idea,” he chuckles, stamping out his cigarette. Sauntering over to the patch of ground Danny occupies, Johnny settles behind you, tickling the spot beneath your ribs he knows will produce the most delicious, impish giggle.
"Hi baby," you simper, turning your head to capture his face in between your palms. He doesn't hesitate staking his claim, kissing you with heated passion. Then he turns your chin back toward Danny, urging you to concentrate on the questions the young man is struggling to ask.
And though his brain is foggy, Danny presses on with Johnny bearing down on him, Johnny relishing the thought that he's throwing the kid off his game. As Danny stutters out the next question, Johnny's large hand caresses your stomach, your shirt billowing in the breeze to reveal a slight swell. Wait until he finds out she's pregnant, Johnny thinks with a mischievous smirk, but keeps that part to himself as he accepts a cool beer from Cal.
Then another devilish thought comes to mind. Let's give him one more souvenir to take back to that fancy college of his. Running the icy cool beer bottle between your exposed shoulder blades, Johnny feels you jump between his legs and you gasp out a deep, raspy breath that sounds so wanton and orgasmic, Johnny feels his own cock twitch at the sound. He's sure he catches Danny gulp too.
"That's...that's all I need," Danny admits soon after, excusing himself to somewhere unknown and Johnny can't help but toss his head back and laugh. Little does he know the damage that's been done to the poor kid's psyche.
He'll go home and replay that tape until the ribbon is threadbare, ticking ominously in the recorder late one night as he's jerking himself off to the now familiar sound of your high pitched whimper, despairing as the reel snaps in half just before his favorite part... "Hi baby."
He hadn't wanted to accept Brucie's letter until now, the cold hard truth that you're having Johnny's baby, but that's when he has to admit you'll never be his. This recording was the tether to his sanity, the last moment he'd allowed himself to dream of something more. He pitches forward in the darkness to mourn, part of him wishing he'd never known you so he might never have felt such sorrow.

DPXDC Enemy of my Enemy is the Worse "Excerpts" (Part 1?) I have more Ideas
Okay I kepy thinking about the prompt Enemy of my Enemy is the Worse I made LOL- (gonna post excerpts.) Probably wont fully write this.. as much as I like to right now LOL. If this inspires anyone to write, go for it.
"So now what? Going to vivisect me? Experiment? Rip my molecules apart like how my-Mr. Fenton keeps telling me." "Unfortunately, no." Agent K grumbles. "And its dissection, not-" Agent O tries to correct. "I maybe dead-but I'm not THAT dead." Danny rolled his eyes, flashing them at the two men in white. He can't believe any of this is happening. Oh he wished he listened to Jazz.. or Sam or Tuck more. He pulled at his ghost proof bindings, them having him ridiculously buried in the restraints. "Actually, Mr. Phantom, is it? I wanted to talk." Another bald man walks in, his suit notably black. Danny raised his eyebrow unimpressed, "What? Is it the Guys in Black and White now? Not that I'm against it, I'm all for equality, but it does seem a little off brand. I'm guessing the bleach bill is getting too high." Agent O was about to speak out- when the guy in black raised his hand to silence him. This guy only looked slightly amused, which gave Danny the creeps. "Of course not. That'd be ridiculous, though I'm not against inclusivity either. I'm Lex Luthor, and it is my recent interest in ghosts that had allowed the GIW to reach its full potential. " "So another annoying billionaire. Great."
"So you know of me? Perfect, then we can keep this simple. In truth, I am only interested in one ghost in particular." "We can capture him without involving ourselves with this scum-" "This GHOST has not only evaded my notice for YEARS, but has been stealing very valuable technology that would go beyond NASA's comprehension. Though I don't doubt your expertise, it has not come without notice that this particular ghost is seen the most-" Lex flicked his eyes down at Phantom. "With you." Agent K and O unrolled paper from their suits to reveal a picture of Plasmius. "The Wisconsin Ghost." - "Plasmius?!" Danny spoke same time the Agents did. Lex smirked at the Agents then down at Phantom. Danny took a moment to register what was going on before busting out laughing. "Really? What makes you think I'm buddy buddy with Plasmius? He's a total fruitloop and honestly- not surprise. He steals blueprints from my p---Dr. Fentons all the time." "You steal their items as well, if we recall." Agent K raised a brow. "Well-I- Just because- YOU USE THEIR BLUEPRINTS TOO!" "Enough. " Lex starting to sound annoyed, Danny felt like it was a win. Serves bastard right. Man did he hate billionaires. "I've observed your work in Amity Park. If I dare say you are quite similar to many of the masked vigilantes that plague this Earth. Even more heroic in my opinion." Danny was not biting at whatever trick Lex was pulling. Though he didn't miss the skip of his core at being recognized something other than a menace. 'He's lying to you.' he repeated in his head. Pulling on his bindings again to remember the real situation before him.
"That being said, I like you to do as heroes do and capture this criminal, then bring him to me." "Look, thanks for the compliment- but we both know I'm not seen as a hero. So why don't you quit the buttering 'cause I'm not interested in culinary and tell me what's in it for me. Even though I'm barely c-average on the best of days, I'm not dumb. I'm not doing this for free or just some lame you will be spared nonsense. Been there done that." Lex smirked again, "I'll grant you immunity from GIW and you can have your haunt back." "Wait? What?!" "But it took so long to capture him-" "IF you manage to capture Plasmius and bring him to me before GIW can." Danny glanced at the two agents as they puffed out their chests. Cocky. They really think they could capture Vlad? Then painfully reminded himself that they did catch him. "And if I don't agree?" "We DISSECT you and use you for very unethical and highly painful experiments that are legal on subjects like yourself." Agent K happily boast. "Riiiight." Danny clicked his tongue, "Add in that these guys are not allowed to be in a 50 miles radius from Amity and I'll do it." "No-" "Deal."
------------------------------------
Danny looped on back to the entryway as he finished swooping through every room of the manor. "Alright! Come on out Fruitloop! I know you're still here-" Just as Phantom floated down to land, he felt a hard punch in his face that sent him skidding across the room into the wall. "OOF" "Guess I should have seen that com...ming..." Danny rubbed his jaw, turning back to see who punched him. His eyes widening as he recognized the heroes he was facing. "Phantom. We're taking you into custody." "YOU CALLED THE JUSTICE LEAGUE ON ME?!" -----(Fight happens)--- Flash manages to hold Phantom, using his speeding molecules to keep Phantom from phasing through his grip. Danny gritting his teeth as the other heroes ready to capture him. Fine. If he can't phase through, he'll just phase in. Phantom uses his icy breath to freeze everything around them. Superman quickly uses his laser vision to melt the ice covering the room in mist, trying to keep themselves from being frozen. "Flash!" When the mist cleared the was no sign of him. Superman using his hearing to try and locate him- despite guarding his right side, he was kicked into the wall by Flash. Flash's eyes glowing bright green. "Well this is weird." -Proceeds to fight in Flash's body for a moment, until he gets knocked out of it. Danny's on his last legs, thinking he barely done a number on them (Not realizing he had been giving them quite a fight). Danny tries to reason again only to hear Amity Park doing great since GIW involvement. Still he isn't backing down. Even mentions Lex is backing them. He knows its only temporary peace if its really peace at all. Which he suspects is a big farce. Besides the portal still resides in Amity. GIW can't get a hold of that- portal. If he can't make them hear him out, then he'll show them why Vlad isn't just some victim. (Not realizing what Justice League may have already discovered) "Want to know why the number 2 worse billionaire is after Fruitloop?" standing up as the net placed on him burned and electrified him. It hurt so much, but he wasn't ready to quit now. Superman flew out in front of the others to block Phantom as Phantom tackled him. Phantom just uses rest of his strength to crash Superman through layers of floors til they reached the secret lab. Superman flinging Phantom into the other side of the room just as they landed, making him slam into a green tube, shattering it. The netting having dropped to the ground away from him. He coughed, shaking as a white ring dangerously popped around his waist shakily dancing, until Phantom sucked it back in. Not yet. The green ectoplasm from the tube soaking into his skin. His eyes widening as he saw what the green ectoplasm was from, jumping back with a disgust yell. He watched the clone fizzle out. "ALREADY? Really Vlad?" He shook off the creeps. "What is this?" "A Lab, du-UAHHHHHHH-" He found himself being spun around by Flash, and flung into the air where he was lassoed. Wonder Woman yanked on the rope tight, swinging him down into the opposite wall. He really was tired of being walled by them. Batman was quick to cuff him as Superman froze him in place. Danny raised a tired brow, unamused. "Are we chill now?" "No." "Thought so." ---bit more talking. Danny navigating his way through the truth of the lasso before using his wail as his last ditch effort to escape. Manages to escape through the portal as the lab collapses.

Hi so this is my first ever request idk if I’m supposed to ask from somewhere else but I was wondering if you could do a Bau find out reader has a criminal past that got expunged or something please?
Hiya, I feel like this absolutely ages to do, I'm so sorry but hope you enjoy it nonetheless!
Description: Reader has a slightly colourful history
Warnings: discussions of previous criminal activity when reader was a minor (theft/burglary, drugs hinted at if you squint, beating up individuals), guns mentioned, death of someone reader knows, child abuse mentioned (nothing 'on screen')
You look at the photos in front of you. A John Doe, about ten years older than you. Swallowing slightly, you try to build up the courage to tell the team you know him. That you know exactly who this man was.
"You okay, kid?" Morgan asks, you look up, giving a quick nod.
"Oh, er, yeah. Yeah, I just, I know him." You know they're going to ask questions, but that's the last thing you want right now. You don't want to explain. You don't want to tell them. They'd look at you differently. Part of you worried they'd no longer even want you on the team.
Hotch frowns, studying your expression. "You know him?"
"Yeah." You clear your throat slightly. "Er, his name's Ryan Williams."
"How did you know him?"
You look away from Hotch, back to the photo. "We... worked together,"
You watch the team raise an eyebrow. "Worked together?" Prentiss asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yep."
"And what was this job?" Rossi chimed in.
"Um..." You pause, trying to figure out how to word it. "It, er..."
You try to ignore the team furrowing their eyebrows and frowning at you. "It...?" Morgan said, looking at you expectantly.
"It might have something to do with a man named Chris Miller," You said, trying to change the topic as much as you could.
"And this Chris Miller, what's he like?"
"Oh, an absolute dickhead." You paused, clearing your throat when you remembered you were supposed to be professional. "I mean, we had our differences."
The team exchanged a concerned glance. "(Y/N), you're going to need to be transparent with us."
"What- about what?"
"How you know Williams."
"I told you, I know him from work."
"And the truth?"
You look at the team, debating whether or not this was a good idea. It probably wasn't, but you knew Hotch wasn't exactly going to drop the topic. "We did work together. Sort of."
"Sort of?"
"It's a little complicated." You said, giving a small shrug. "We worked for a man, Chris Miller. We'd also work closely with his son, Danny."
"What sort of work?"
"Odd jobs. Whatever needed doing." You said, swallowing slightly. "Delivering packages, picking things up."
"And?"
"And, what?"
"There was clearly more." Hotch stated. "And don't think we don't know what what sort of 'packages' you're talking about."
"Look, we did some shitty stuff." You gave a small shrug. You try to act nonchalant about it. You weren't proud of your past. You focus your attention on the table in front, finding it easier to look at that, rather than the disappointed gazes of your team. You didn't want to see them look at you differently.
"Like what?"
"We stole stuff, bikes, cars, broke into a house once or twice." You admitted, a light blush tinting your cheeks in shame. "You got a cut of whatever the total of what you took."
"You burgled."
"Technically, yes." You answered, voice hesitant. Hotch frowned, eyebrows drawing in.
"Anything else?"
"We were told to rough some guys up a few times." You admitted. You hear Garcia draw in a sharp breath.
"And this Chris, how did you know him?"
"He was the ring leader." You answered, "You did what he told you, no questions asked."
"And Ryan?"
"He also worked for Chris."
Two days later, it was revealed that the unsub was in fact Danny Miller. Once it was established that he was the one doing the killing, finding him was fairly easy. And the next afternoon you had him surrounded in a warehouse, trying to talk him down.
"Danny." You say, walking into the room. Danny's attention is immediately on you, as is his gun. "Danny, you need to put the gun down."
"Don't act like you're any better than me, (Y/N)." Danny snapped.
"Danny, just- come on, man. Just put the gun down." You give a sigh, watching the older man's slightly shaking hand.
"You're not better than me." Danny growls.
Knowing Hotch and Morgan weren't exactly going to put their weapons down, you lowered yours. "Come on, Danny. Don't be an idiot. Just put it down."
"You don't know what he was like." Danny glared, hand still trembling. "He was a son of a bitch."
"I know, Danny. I know."
"No you don't!" Danny exclaimed, gun now pointing at you. Morgan's finger itched near the trigger, just in case.
"Then tell me."
"You know how your dad was?" You feel Hotch and Morgan's eyes flick to you for a split second. You swallow.
"Yeah."
"Yeah, well he was worse."
"I'm sorry."
"No, you're not. You got out." Danny jabbed the gun towards you as he snarled.
"If you do this, you let him win." You state, "If you pull that trigger and my team mates shoot you, he's won. He's won and you won't get to look him in the eye and tell him how much of a bastard he is."
It takes a few more minutes, but it's the thought of spiting his father that gets Danny to lower the gun and Morgan immediately pounces, cuffing him.
Hotch wait until you're all flying back on the jet before he approaches you about the topic, with the team all trying their best to look like they're not listening. But for profilers, they can't act for shit.
"We need to talk about your previous record." Hotch stated, placing a file in front you you. "I had Garcia unseal the records."
"That's not fair."
"During the interviewing process you were specifically asked if you had a criminal record."
"It was all expunged-"
"(Y/N), that's irrelevant, I still should have been told,"
"Except it doesn't exist anymore, Hotch." You rub a hand over your face, wishing that you had just stayed home.
"It still matters,"
"No, it doesn't, I was a kid." You say, "I was fifteen, I made some stupid decisions to try and survive,"
"(Y/N)-"
"No, Hotch, it doesn't matter. It doesn't exist anymore."
"It was still important for me to know."
"Why? Why was it so important? I was- I was fifteen,"
"It's important because it still happened."
"I was just trying to survive." You looked at him. "I was just trying to survive. I went about it the wrong way, yes. And I'm not proud of it by any means, but I was fifteen and I didn't know what else to do."
"You still should have declared it."
"Do I still have this job?"
"Excuse me?" Hotch asked, frowning in confusion.
"Am I fired?"
"No."
"Then, respectfully sir, it was expunged. It doesn't exist anymore, my slate is clean. And you getting Garcia to unseal the records was unfair, unnecessary, and hurtful." You state, pausing for a short breath. "To me, that means that everything I've worked hard for - proving myself in this job - immediately went out the window the second you learnt something negative about my past."
And with that, you turn your head, deciding to look out of the window instead, signaling to your boss that the conversation was over.

Chapter 11. Gilded Feathers
Summary: He reveals the painting. Masterlist Previous Chapter // Next Chapter Words: 1,869 Listen to: 'Born With a Broken Heart' -by Damiano David A/N: I was okay with how this chapter turned out and then I wasn't 😫 -Danny
On Thursday night, you wait for your maid to knock on your door twice in sharp, quiet thumps. You let her in, dressed in trousers and hiding your hair under a newsboy cap. "Everyone has gone to bed— everyone of royal descent, that is," she clarifies in a hurry. "The rest won't bother you."
"What about my sister?"
"She's been notified and will come to wait for you here. If you don't return by sunrise, she'll notify the guards of your absence."
"Very well," you grab the coat she's offering you—a man's—and put it on. "I'll be fine, Paula, stop pouting!"
"Promise not to be reckless," she pleads while helping you button up the coat, "I know what you're planning, but you hold the power, do not forget it!"
You cup her face lovingly. "My angel, I will be fine." You step into the hallway, heartbeat pounding in your ears.
Benedict sneaks you into the Academy with ease, there are very few people around and you hear faint voices at the end of a hallway somewhere, but he doesn't take you to that side of the building. Instead, he guides you to the silent section of the Academy, an eager look in his eyes now that you're here.
"Before we meet the others, I want to show you what I've been working on," he says, opening a classroom. "Let me light a candle before you enter, I don't want you falling and breaking someone's piece."
It takes him a few minutes, but after some time, Benedict invites you in, holding the door open for you. You're barely able to distinguish what's inside, the faint light your friend is holding is not enough to illuminate the whole place. "I'll get more candles, don't move."
The silence feels almost magical while surrounded by a variety of art pieces that seem to look at you like you're the exhibition. The room gets revealed to you slowly as Benedict walks around with his candle, placing a few new lights around to help you see.
"Can I move now?" You ask. "Where are your pieces?"
"There, on your left," he gestures. "Professor Brown kindly offered to teach me the curriculum for our lessons, but the truth is, I haven't done it in the way he suggested."
"Let me guess," you smile. "Too orderly and lacking creativity?"
Benedict flashes a crooked grin. "I've been trying my best to be good, I swear, but my hands have a mind of their own, they itch to colour outside the lines and I'm no one to stop them."
"I wouldn't be one to scold you either. I am not a woman of proper etiquette, am I?" You gesture at your clothes.
"I like you in trousers," Benedict confesses with a fond gaze. "You look like you're going to sell me the newest Lady Whistledown, but one can only notice how comfortable and confident it makes you."
You laugh, tilting your cap playfully. "You think I'd make a fine newsboy?"
"You'll be a better Queen," he declares.
You blush a bit, thankful that the room is dimly lit. "Thank you. In any case, I'd have to cut my hair in order to wear the cap, or it would constantly slip off my head like it always does," you take it off, hair falling over your shoulders heavily though ethereally, and you card your fingers through the locks to tame it.
Benedict's hand reaches for the sheet covering an easel on his side, and he tugs at it to keep himself from touching you. "This is what I wanted to show you." He reveals the painting.
You gasp, staring at the explosion of colours in awe. It's not what you were expecting, not a landscape or a person, but what seems to be a fluffy dove bursting through a bush of multicoloured flowers, leaving behind a few gilded baby feathers that doesn't seem to miss as it takes flight. The brushstrokes are messy yet deliberate, shaping the bird without committing to a steady lining, the bush is all splashes that make sense thanks to perspective, and the flowers he painted over are rounded, delicate hydrangeas that pop out from the canvas.
"It's you," he says softly.
You look at him in confusion. "What is?"
"That's how I see you," Benedict explains. "I haven't seen colours this bright since I was a boy..." he gently traces the corner of his canvas. "You're such a sight to behold, even when you think you're terrible you make catastrophic look beautiful... That's what I want to learn from you. I want to fly freely, Y/N."
The silence doesn't last long. It would've, if you'd been capable of keeping your calm and collected demeanour, but Benedict slammed it down entirely. "It's the most beautiful piece I've ever seen. And to think..." your voice catches, overwhelmed by emotions. "Your art is worth nurturing, Benedict. You're special."
The sincerity in your voice is only shadowed by how you pronounce his name. The young man looks at you with those beautifully vulnerable green eyes, mouth slightly agape as he fights to respond something, anything. You see the deep flush of delight your words brought up on his face, and you feel yourself inevitably caving.
"Ben..." you whisper, one hand caressing his cheek.
Benedict is a gentleman, and what he's been taught tells him none of what's happened between you since the day you met is permitted or sensible. He is an intelligent, kind-hearted, and well-educated aristocrat, but at the base of all, he's just a man. And when you pull him down into a kiss, he can't help but place his hands on your waist and draw you closer.
The hunger in you takes control as your lips press onto his mouth and pull all kinds of noises from him. Benedict holds the back of your head with one hand, relishing the softness of your hair against his fingertips. He moans, certain to fall to his knees with how good it feels, but instead, deepens the kiss and uses his other hand to unbutton your coat.
Benedict sneaks his hand into the space and caresses the curve of your waist, groaning approvingly, you walk backwards to a nearby table, talking breathily into the kiss. "Was this your plan since the start?"
Benedict laughs shortly, nuzzling your neck before placing open-mouthed kisses down the length of it. "You have some nerve asking me that—Was this your plan?"
"No," you smirk, tilting your head. "I seized the opportunity. What's a woman to do after her artist shows her a breathtaking piece he claims was inspired by her?"
"Your artist?" You feel his smile against your throat. "I don't know the etiquette in Genovia, but in Britain, we don't snog our staff."
"Some of you do," you argue. "When you get bored of your spouses, the poor maids and servants are left to deal with your wandering eyes."
He playfully nips at your skin. "I seem to be luckier than most maids and servants, I have a princess looking at me..."
You run a hand through his hair, following his delightful descent over your chest with dazzled eyes. His large hand presses around the soft flesh of your bosom and your breath hitches, his other hand grabs a fistful of your hair and gently pulls your head back to attack your neck freely. Benedict places you on the edge of the table, standing in between your legs and chuckling at how practical your trousers are.
"This is the first time I get to have fun without having to navigate oceans of fabric," he smirks, lips brushing against yours as he allows his hand to wander over your thigh. "You are one dapper lady..."
You pull him into a heated kiss and claw at his clothes, hating that he's wearing the whole attire of jacket, vest, and cravat when you only put on trousers and blouse. He's able to feel most of you while you're left to struggle with his endless lines of buttons. "Wish I could say the same—must you wear so many layers?"
Benedict grins. "T'was a cold night."
"Not that cold."
He chuckles. "Not anymore, it's not..."
Your hand wanders down and palms him through the trousers, but the action has the opposite effect you were expecting. He jolts away, sobering up all at once and staring at you. You blink, keeping your hands where he escaped them. "Benedict?"
"We can't do this," he says, blinking away the haziness in his eyes.
You frown. "Yes, we can! I'm giving you full consent to—"
"I can make you feel good if you so desire," he interrupts, face flushed and sounding almost frantic. "But I can't let you... you can't touch me."
You awkwardly deflate on your spot. "Why not?"
Benedict shakes his head, swallowing thickly. "I just... I know myself, and this is something I can't allow."
"Why not?" You insist, voice quivering.
The reasons are endless, but he can't speak of them unless he wishes to throw your friendship to the wolves. He's not worthy, and there is nothing he can do, nor he would if he could. He is who he is, and he can please you, but to have you is unthinkable. You deserve better.
"Please," he begs, picking up your cap from where you dropped it. "You can ask me to do anything and I will oblige, but I won't do that to you."
You hold your hat against your chest, feeling embarrassed. "Did I do something wrong?"
He lets out a nervous chuckle. "I like you more for your mistakes than for what other people think are your greatest assets. I appreciate all of you immensely," he reaches for your face and holds it, gaze gentle. "I'm the one who's at fault. Please, grant me the dignity to decline your offer without having to explain my reasons. I'm afraid I've showed you too much of myself."
"I assure you I can't be scared away," you promise, holding onto his forearm. "Whatever you're afraid of, I don't have to know, just for this season..."
He nuzzles your nose with his. "As much as I've grown fond of you... I can be your professor, your friend—I could be your plaything if you're not too cruel..." he says, eyes glued to your lips. "But I must have limits."
You almost whimper your reply. "I have longed for weeks on end..."
He sighs shakily. "Good lord, the things I've thought of you... Y/N, don't make me suffer..."
Benedict's servant knocks on the classroom's door, announcing the first hour is over. What he might've heard of your conversation, you don't know—or care, for that matter. You could stay if you wanted to, but you don't.
"It's late," the young man helps you put your hat back on, sensing your displeasure. "You don't have to worry, Princess, I remain your escort and teacher for the season. I can only hope my decision hasn't taken away my place as your friend..."
"Can you at least think about it?" You plea. "Benedict, no man has ever been offered my bed before. I do not do this on a whim or a mere fancy—trust me."
"It's myself whom I don't trust," he steps back, unable to meet your gaze.
"I... I see." You answer weakly.
You slip into the dark hallway accompanied by the servant and Benedict stays behind to blow out candles. He covers his art piece with the heavy fabric, wanting to punch a hole through it.

FENTONS WORKING IN GOTHAM
Stalling T 2,363
Just a perfectly normal conversation between Arkham's newest psychiatrist, and its most troublesome resident. In the staff parking lot. During a jailbreak. How she walks out of this alive is a question even the Batman himself wants answered.
Who's Afraid Of Who? G 611 SERIES
Someone gives Jazz the wrong interrogation room number. Now she goes to visit a certain Dr. Crane...The station officers realize the error in the files when visiting the other resource, 1 hour later it's too late. By the time they arrive at the interrogation room, they find...Dr Jasmine Nightingale became an expert on the mind to help people. That included almost all of Gotham's worst offenders. Dr Crane, aka Scarecrow, is about to find out more first hand.
Danny The Intern T
Danny decided to intern at Wayne Enterprise. He's always so helpful, and polite, and gets the job done. He gets REALLY confused when his co-workers start acting weird: they would either pull him into another room; or make him do some outlandish task so far away, or a group of people suddenly surround him. It’s as if they are trying to hide him from someone. Meanwhile, there is an unspoken agreement amongst the employees: Rule #4: DO NOT LET ANY WAYNES SEE HIM. Otherwise, they are going to lose their most helpful intern (and hopefully a permanent employee) because of those damn Wayne’s adopting addictions. Though of course, it wasn’t long until they messed up Rule #4.
Trivia Night G
Danny gets a job at some underground bar as one of the tenders there. The problem? He wasn’t informed that Gotham’s most dangerous villains would frequently go out for drinks, using said bar to do so. And naturally, through the power of tired college student and brunt-out hero, he manages to gain favor of all of them. So much so that they begin including him on planning heists, kidnappings, etc
Just Another ̶L̶A̶ Gotham Devotee~ T
Danny didn't expect much after leaving Amity and his vigilante career for a job at Wayne Tech R&D. All he wanted was a decent roof over his head, non ecto-contaminated food in his fridge, and maybe to stop getting thrown into buildings so often. Hell, he'd even negotiate that last point if it kept the Bats of his back. Unfortunately, fate has never been kind. Ancients, he needs a vacation.
Specter Of The Month T
Far from Amity and those who'd follow, Danny does the only sensible option to make money and watch over his sister. Apply to become an Arkham Asylum security guard. When breakout rates drop and Penguin's released spouting rumors of a ghost haunting BlackGate, a certain Tim Drake grows curious.

Tim Drake is trying to find his own place in the world, focusing on becoming a better detective by solving cold cases in his spare time. When Tim and Danny meet, a new (begrudging) partnership starts to bloom to solve even the hardest of cases. Or it would if only they told each other the truth.

The Curious Case Of D. Grayson T

What could possibly go wrong, am I right?
Penny Two T 6,822
Alfred decides to hire Danny Fentom as an assistant butler. Bruce is uncertain about having a new person in his house.
He Can See Ghosts Because He’s A Medium, Obviously NR SERIES
But no, what convinced him he’s in a different dimension are the ghosts. They’re nothing like the ghosts from the infinite realms, more like stereotypical ghosts kids who were raised normally believe in. The ones no one can see except in the flickering of lights, something falling when it shouldn’t, a strange noise or even sometimes a shadowy figure. But not for Danny, cause of course he can’t be normal. To him these ghosts look like every other living person around him. Or Danny gets trapped in the DC universe, specifically Gotham, and decides since he can see ghosts here he may as well use it. Or or Danny the medium!
Ghost In The Morgue M
There's something off about the new Medical Examiner for the Gotham City Police Department. Danny Fenton, now working for the G.C.P.D. is good at his job. Very good. His reports are always done promptly and accurately. Scarily accurate. His "unofficial reports" even more so, listing details the medical examiner shouldn't know. He's an oddity, and oddities in Gotham attract Bats.
Mondays, Am I Right? T 2,681 SERIES

Danny becomes a security guard at Arkham.
Graveyard Shift NR
He moved slowly through the dark hall as the alarms blared and flashed, his eyes cutting through the dark. Where. Where did he go? He pauses at a sound, glancing down the left hall as a masked group crouches and goes still. Not paying them any mind, he pays more attention to the blue smoke that finds its way out his throat, curling around his face before trailing off down the hall. He starts walking again. He has someone to find. With barely a thought he slowly fades from the visible spectrum as he continues down the straight hall.
Shrike T
Danny Fenton starts a new life in Gotham but ghosts keep following him, forcing him to return as Phantom to try and keep them in control. The Bats are trying to hunt down the new meta due to the destruction he causes. In his civilian life, Danny finds himself being questioned about his background and knowledge of technology when he wins a full ride scholarship and fellowship from Wayne Enterprises. Both sides of his life ends crumbling before him.
DANNY IN GOTHAM
Wait, I'm A What? T
after Clockwork dropped of Danny in Gotham he tries to make the best out of the situation which includes helping out some people. Except along the way that led to rumors that he was an up-and-coming crime boss. A rumor he was largely unaware of.
Wait! I’m A Cartoon Over Here!?! T
A new vigilante group had been working the rounds. Every rogue or villain they came across for the past week got defeated in seconds. Bruce has been aging like a fly due to the stress of trying to catch them. Everyone else wishes to meet and get their autographs. While Damian and Dick can’t figure out why this group's actions, tools, and abilities feel so familiar. That is until Damian gets saved by a teen with snow-white hair and glowing green eyes. Damian just got saved by a cartoon character Dick and he watches regularly. Meanwhile, Danny and the gang got dumped into the DC Universe. They are familiar with the comics, shows, and movies, they know what’s up, and they can survive! They plan not to draw too much attention. Maybe help a person here or there? get an autograph or ten? But, definitely find a way back home. That plan fails immediately, and now, they’re a vigilante group with a dumb name. But, as long as they stay in the shadows, they should be fine! That all changes when Danny saves Robin and learns something very important yet terrifying.
Cry Of The Mourning Dove T
Danny's made it this far from Amity. An alley way, somewhere in Gotham city. He had a goal, but he's so injured... He's not sure he's gonna find who he needs to find. Red Robin and Red Hood find him first. A kid. Bleeding green. With Bruce Wayne's face.
Bus To Nowhere T
Is it running from your problems if your problems consider you to be a dead imprint of consciousness that killed their son? Yes, but Danny tries not to think about how his nightmares of his parents trying to kill him came true when they found out he was Phantom. After being on the run from his parents and the government for a couple of months, moving from town to town, Danny ends up in Gotham City and decides to risk staying in Batman's territory. He'd take the wrath of Batman over live vivisection via beloved parents or being studied and torn apart by the government. Besides, he's not a meta. Being dead is a medical condition.

Hatred At First Sight G 1,304
The residence of Gotham were used to rogue attacks and most didn't bat an eye to the extravagance that was the Joker even as everyone watching as he live filmed his assault on the bank in a numb kind of horror that you could only acquire through exposure. He was holding a bunch of hostages, asking the watchers what he should do with them with a wide unhinged smile and maliciously gleeful eyes that watched his many victims squirm in terror. Until he looked at the skrunky kid in a ratty hoodie that looked like he could be a Wayne adoptee. And both froze for a good minute. And like some kind of demented switch got flipped the kid snarled and (still with his hands tied behind his back mind you) launched himself at the Joker.
Danny's Guide To Not Dying Alone On The Street G
After his parents chase him out of the city, Danny finds his way to Gotham to stay out of the eye of the GIW or any other ghost hunters who might be interested in him. After he accidentally shows his powers in a very public setting, can he avoid the ghosts of his past and the ever-increasing number of Gotham Vigilantes interested in him?
Run Ghost Run NR
Danny escaped from the GIW and his parents, but he had to keep running. If those in the infinite realm found out what happened war would happen. Clockwork said to follow the birds and bats whatever that means. For now, he would just hide in Gotham. No one would look for him there.
Gotham's Haunted G
Five times Danny Surprised a Batkid and that one time he was forcefully adopted by Bruce Wayne.
No Laughing Matter NR
Danny kills the Joker, not knowing of the kill switch set to release Joker gas the moment Jokers heart stops beating
Taking Flight T
Danny decides to tell his parents the truth. It doesn't go so hot. Fleeing Amity Park for his life he decides Gotham is the best place to fall through the cracks. Sadly as a black-haired blue-eyed teen with a strong sense of morality the adoption papers were half filled out. Unfortunately for Bruce, Danny has a thing about rich guys with secret identities who want to adopt him.
Death Is Not The Enemy T
Danny gets summoned into a new universe, makes some friends, becomes part of the most powerful vigilante clan ever, punches a bunch of satanists, finds the meaning of family and gets a chance at dreaming big. Definitely not in that order
Concession To Realism G
Clockwork sends Danny to a universe where he'll be safe until he can take up the mantle of Ghost King, a dimension far away from the Fentons and other ghost hunters. Danny is less than thrilled, especially when he starts developing a soft spot for some local bats.
And So It Ghost T 65,805 SERIES
When Danny Fenton is invited to a Technology Fair in Gotham he hopes it will help open doors to a good college. What he doesn't expect is an attack by a technology obsessed ghost, or a visit from the Batman himself. Can Danny keep his identity a secret while also scoring a spot at Gotham University? Or will everything come crashing down around his ears like usual?
MISC
A Vigilante A Day Keeps The Government Away M 11,158
Lucius Fox gets a phone call he'd never expected from a source even more unexpected. Now, he's got to figure out what to do with a betrayed child, a traumatized nephew, a protective son, and an adoption-prone Bat.
I Can Be Both Even If It's Hard (And It's Hard) G 52,999 SERIES
Sam and Tucker ran to get Jazz and didn't see Danny come out of the portal. By the time they return Danny has transformed back. This changes things.
-=INSERT TERM=- T
“It's probably just identity theft” Tim looked up from his laptop in the corner as he said it, a courtesy Jason didn't return. “Maybe” he sighed, reading through the document in front of him again. Apparently a kid had cashed in his government trust fund, two years after his death. “I don't know why you care” Tim continued, returning to his screen. Originally Jason hadden’t, had even been offended when Bruce handed him the file with instructions to ‘look into this’. However, the more he did look into it, the more he realised this wasn’t really about the trust fund at all.
Dull Residue Of What Once Was (A Shattered Cloud Of Swirling Doves) T SERIES
Danny didn't expect to become Ghost King. He definitely didn't expect or want to become a target for summoning because of it. He's pretty annoyed at this point. But hey, at least he gets to meet some of his favorite heroes! The Batclan meets King Phantom. It's very alarming.
Of Course It's A Cult T 2,696 SERIES
Danny did not sign up for kingship. Nor did he sign up for random summons by crazy cult people. Fortunately, the sacrifices for this one are still alive and are slightly familiar.
The Historian NR SERIES
I have even documented some stories claiming that the Bat is a living person. Of course, these claims are preposterous and should be immediately discounted. What living person would willingly choose to dress as a bat to fight crime?
Dead Men Don't Bleed M
Dead men don't bleed. When the body begins to break down, the blood settles and congeals in the veins, clotting and preventing them from being able to bleed like the living. This, of course, isn't an issue, so long as your corpse stays dead.
Tape 01 NR
Daniel "Danny" James Fenton wasn't just a normal young adult and while everyone seemed to accept this fact, nobody was able to understand it. That's the point, where all his problems started to evolve into something much bigger. So nobody noticed when he disappeared...
When The Clown No Longer Laughed M SERIES
Things have been going well for Arkham Asylum. There haven't been any breakouts in a while, a new team of Psychologists are starting to make a breakthrough with the residents, and Gotham is starting to heal. But with the recent suicide of one Mr. Freeze, Batman decides to look into what is happening in Arkham Asylum. Dr. Penelope Spectra talks about the good she is doing for the inmates, and how they are finally being rehabilitated. But Batman knew something was deeply wrong. When the Clown no longer laughed.
Time Traveler Code G 1,486
Danny has to (re)introduce himself to Batman and his family after meeting them in the alternate Dan future. He has a few other big pieces of information to break to them, too

WHO IS AVA FLORENCE AND WHAT TO EXPECT?
AVA FLORENCE'S surprise signing with Porsche's new Formula 1 team has sent shockwaves through the motorsport world. The 19-year-old Belgian-Japanese driver is set to become the first full-time female F1 driver since Giovanna Amati in 1992. But who exactly is Ava Florence, and what can we expect from her in the pinnacle of motorsport?
BORN IN SPA, Belgium, to a Belgian father and Japanese mother, Florence was exposed to motorsport from an early age. Growing up in the shadow of the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit, she began karting at the age of six. Florence quickly made a name for herself in the Belgian and European karting scenes, claiming multiple national titles and finishing runner-up in the CIK-FIA European Karting Championship in 2019. Florence's transition to single-seaters was nothing short of meteoric. In 2020, she dominated the French F4 Championship, securing the title with three races to spare. Her performances caught the eye of several Formula 3 teams, and she made the leap to the highly competitive series in 2021.
THE 2022 F3 SEASON saw Florence emerge as a true star of the future. In a closely fought battle, she clinched the championship in the final race at Monza, becoming the first female driver to win the title. Her success led to widespread speculation about a potential Formula 2 drive, but Florence surprised many by signing with Porsche Penske Motorsport for their FIA World Endurance Championship campaign. The move proved to be a masterstroke.
FLORENCE adapted quickly to endurance racing, playing a crucial role in Porsche's 2024 WEC championship victory. Her ability to manage tires, fuel, and race strategy over long stints impressed many in the paddock.
FLORENCE'S UNCONVENTIONAL PATH to F1 via WEC has left many wondering how she'll fare against the established stars of the sport. However, her track record suggests she has the talent and adaptability to succeed at the highest level. Her experience in both open-wheel and endurance racing could prove invaluable in F1's current era, where tire and energy management are crucial. Florence's smooth driving style and tactical acumen, honed in WEC, may give her an edge in races where strategy plays a key role.
PAIRED WITH FOUR-TIME WORLD CHAMPION Sebastian Vettel at Porsche, Florence will have an excellent mentor to guide her through her rookie season. The combination of Vettel's experience and Florence's raw talent could make Porsche a dark horse in their debut season.
user001: Manifesting a home race win for Florence in both Japan and Spa
user002: SHE WINS IN SUZUKA! SHE WINS IN SPA!
user003: She hasn't done open wheel racing for a year. I think we're over hyping her rookie season.
This is posted on Wattpad, but will also be posted on Tumblr. This is Part 1. Stay tuned for Part 2 or check it out on Wattpad under the same name.

New chapter of HBSD for Jason is just like, hey you get your crush in your bed! But not in that way, actually it’s much worse whoops
I am curious though, what does Jason think happened in Danny/Ellie’s backstory? Because what he has to go off of is 1) Vlad is paying child support and low key Danny is worried about custody 2) Ellie and other attempts were created, but not how (and obv most people wouldn’t assume cloning) 3) Ellie was introduced to Danny LATER 4) Vlad is simultaneously creepy/involved in Ellie’s creation, but also still trying to date Danny’s mom
If I overheard that phone convo, I would be very concerned (obviously), but also trying to figure out how…how the hell any of them are related. Like, trans Danny with Ellie taken early and reintroduced later? Vlad is trans? Is Vlad even biologically involved because Danny never says so, just that he’s in some way responsible so-Vlad paid someone to be a surrogate at some point for some reason? I would have NO idea because none of those explanations would quite make sense from the phone convo unless I knew cloning was an option, you know?
Oh, I totally see how that'd be confusing. Let me explain my thought process when I wrote this.
You see after hearing that conversation, in the moment Jason assumes that something was happening along the lines of the trans theory. The pit rage did cloud his judgment a bit, so he focused more on the custody/separation aspects and wanting to protect these new people in his territory who have something akin to an age-old story he has heard before. Plus, later on during the 4th of July chapter Danny reveals more of his parents' relationship with Vlad and alludes to what happened between them, basically implying that they trusted Vlad near Danny, but he did something to Danny to get his genetic material. Which isn't untrue but somewhat misleading. Later when he has time to re-examine the info from both conversations he adjusts his theory.
Keeping in mind that this is the same universe where cloning is possible and genetic studies are likely more advanced in turn it wouldn't be a stretch to assume test tube babies are a Thing that Exist more commonly there than in the real world. Especially, if we use the version of the story where Damian was a test tube baby rather than Talia actually getting pregnant making it a possibility Jason would definitely be aware of.
Jason's leading theory right now was that some creepy old guy (Vlad) was obsessed with Danny's mom, and later Danny himself. And because his parents trusted Vlad they let him get close to Danny despite Danny recognizing Vlad was a creep. All of this is basically accurate, so here's where things diverge. Jason assumes Danny was assaulted (either physically or sexually) by Vlad, who took his genetic material by force. Then the creepy old rich guy used his money to try and create a test tube baby using their combined DNA. The first few attempts failed but when one finally took Danielle was the result. The creep then tried to raise her and poison her against her other genetic donor, to little success because she was such a small child. Danny became aware of what Vlad had done shortly after Danielle was born, but was too young and vulnerable to fight back and get custody. However, once he got older he finally gathered the resources to fight back and managed to get custody of his daughter. Danny has something he can use against Vlad to keep him in check, likely a scary lawyer or some sort of blackmail. Now he's trying to live a normal life with Ellie and makes sure Vlad compensates him with child support. All things considered not to far from the truth but missing some key context details.
With the type of shenanigans always going down the DC universe his theory really isn't that much of a stretch. In all honesty though, Jason tries not to spend too much time dwelling on it for a couple of reasons: 1) In his experience, people who go through similar things want to be left alone, lest something happen that could jeopardize their situation (hiding from an abuser). 2) Danny made it clear when he declined seeking protection from Red Hood that he had the situation handled and didn't want anyone getting involved, Jason's meddling wouldn't help anything. 3.) Jason wants Danny to trust him enough to tell him the whole story himself, and 4.) Jason is busy with other stuff like work, vigilante-ing, and falling in love to go unnecessarily digging around in a story that honestly isn't as unique as one might think.
Obviously, there might still be holes in my logic but that's basically what I believe Jason's view on the situation would be. I hope that sheds some light onto how I intended the situation to look like from the outside.

Since we're discussing Doctor Who's historic treatment of its characters of color, I thought I'd toss another name in the ring I haven't seen discussed yet. I've seen people mention Martha, Yaz, Bill, Mickey, and Ryan but I haven't seen anyone bring up Danny Pink.

Spoiler bar for long ass post as well as if someone's watching through for the first time after 15 and don't want decades old spoilers (there's a tldr at the bottom)
If you don't remember or didn't watch through series 8, Danny Pink was the partner of Clara Oswald. You might've forgotten she had a partner because she sure did. I'm going to walk through his story arc during series 8.

When we first meet Danny, he's working at the same school as Clara. He's shy, sweet, and loves kids. From the first episode its clear he's a military veteran with severe PTSD due to accidentally killing a child while in Afghanistan. Not going to touch that commentary, thats a whole separate post.

He's interested in Clara and eventually asks her out. They go out and it starts rocky but they do work it out and start dating. However, during these first few months of dating, Clara lies to him about where she's constantly going. Brushing off his questions and gaslighting him. Even Rose didn't lie to Mickey. He's only told after being put in danger due to an attack at the school. He's then obviously worried for her safety but is alright with it even though he dislikes the Doctor. Only asking that she tell him if the Doctor ever made her do something she didn't want to do. And guess what happened? The Doctor left Clara alone to make a decision that impacted the entire human race, deciding whether or not to kill a creature before its even born. When the Doctor knew what the right choice was.

Danny knows instantly that something was wrong when she returned and she did tell him what happened. He asks her to tell the Doctor she's done traveling with him and she agrees. She tells him she's just going on one last adventure with him. Well, you can guess what happens next. She continues to follow the Doctor and lies to Danny again by not telling him. All the while making the same googly eyes at 12 that Rose did for 9 and 10.

A few more months and then a school field trip goes wrong, they need the Doctors help. Clara tried to play it off in front of Danny that she's seeing him for the first time since their "last adventure". However Danny could see she was hiding something and deduced she was lying. After they're all safe, he tells her to go home, think, and finally tell him the truth. They plan for him to come to her flat and she'd finally explain everything. Unfortunately, as he was on the way and on the phone with her, HE GETS HIT BY A CAR AND FUCKING DIES.
But is our boy safe from torment now that he's dead? Absolutely not! No, then his mind is uploaded to the Nethersphere and forced to meet the child he killed.

But is that the worst of it? Absolutely not! When Missy's plan for the season was finally enacted, Danny was pulled from the Nethersphere and put into a Cyberman.

However he's not just any Cyberman, he's one that can still feel. He saves Clara from some other Cybermen and before revealing his identity, she drops the fucking line of referring to the Doctor as the one man she'd never lie to. Fucking disgusting. He reveals his identity to her and asks that she help turn off his emotions. She, with the Doctors help, does so allowing him to join the Cyberman hivemind. Even without his emotions he still doesn't attack Clara, the Doctor explaining love is a promise not a feeling. The Doctor gives Danny Missy's control bracelet and he uses it to blow up all the Cybermen, including himself.
He returns to the Nethersphere but its quickly deteriorating. Two weeks after his death he manages to open a portal, but there's only room for one, so he let's the kid he killed through. Asking Clara to find his parents (love you Danny but crazy ask). This is the last we see of Danny. Well until the Christmas special where in her dreams she sees a life with him. Ending the dream with him telling her to remember him for 5 minutes a day before getting on with her life.

SO TLDR
Let's go through these one by one
1. He's kept in the same role as Mickey, being the "pet boyfriend" while Clara jets around with 12
2. She lies to him about it and then lies to him again after he expressed how much it hurt the first time
3. Just as he's about to get some closure and maybe they can work it out HE GETS HIT BY A CAR AND FUCKING DIES
4. In death he's made to meet the child he killed in Afghanistan and has severe PTSD over
5. Hes brought back to life as a fucked up suffering Cyberman
6. Is told by Clara directly that the Doctor is the only man she would never lie to
7. FUCKING DIES AGAIN
8. Has a chance to be brought back but instead the child he killed years ago is instead put in the UK alive again (How is she supposed to find his parents?? How is she supposed to get him there?? That family mourned for years already?? His parents might not still be alive??)
9. Then is brought back for the Christmas special where Clara's unconscious mind tells her that she has to move on with her life and its okay to not think about him too much
I- this man never did a single fucking thing wrong since meeting him again not touching the vet stuff and he is quite literally treated like less than garbage. At least Mickey and Martha got happy endings. Fuck Moffat and fuck RTD. He deserved so much better.

The Courage to Dare - Chapter 1
Summary: After the GiW overhear that Phantom is a half-human student of Casper High, they infiltrate the school and offer the students a tantalizing award if they can provide them the human identity of Phantom. Danny tries to keep his head down and suspicions low as suspicions fly throughout the school. He thought he was doing well, until an A-lister catches him mid-transformation.
Phic Phight Prompts: The GIW somehow learns that Danny Phantom is actually a student at Casper High. Chapter 1: One Must Have the Courage to Dare
“Power is given only to him who dares to stoop and take it ... one must have the courage to dare.” - Fyodor Dostoevsky, Crime and Punishment
The harsh hiss of cold, pressurized air releasing filled the cramped room. As suddenly as it started, the noise stopped and the room fell back into its previous, uneasy silence. A black gloved hand reached up to an ejected gray container that stuck out just slightly from the rest of the containers next to it - not unlike an old VCR tape - and removed it from its slot. The indicator light next to the empty slot turned from green to red. The gloved hand placed the container on a tray and walked along an aisle filled with hundreds of slots for containers. He escorted the tray past even more aisles of slots. Most of the slots shined with red lights indicating they too were empty, but a few here and there shined green. Plenty of room to expand.
Once outside of the room, the man with the black gloves carried the container through hallways lit with bright fluorescent lights until it passed into a room containing nothing but a glass box in the center of the room that cast the entire room in an eerie green glow. The gloved hand stuck the container into a slot on the glass box and pressed a button. A green goo schlurped out of the other end and fell to the floor with a wet plop.
The goo moved slowly, stretching and pulling in multiple directions until it spread out into the form of a man wearing a fedora and an overcoat. The ghost floated off the ground and arched his back so far he bent over in two as he breathed out a large sigh of relief.
“Your mandated hour of socialization and activity starts now,” the cold voice of the black-gloved man warned before he left the side of the box.
“Yeah yeah, way to kill the mood,” the ghost complained in a thick Brooklyn accent. He sighed as he returned to his stretches. If he only had an hour of movement he intended to make good use of it. He circled his arms, craned his neck, and flew in tight loops just to get a sense of freedom and movement before he finally paid attention to the rest of the ghosts stuck in here with him. He never saw more than two other ghosts in the box at a time, probably so they could control them better, but the fact that had yet to see a repeat ghost had to be a bad sign that too many of his kind were stuck in this torture. The afterlife was torment enough without spending it as an immovable pile of goo inside a box.
But surprisingly, he actually recognized one of the ghosts stuck in the box with him today. The elderly ghost with a portly paunch and fine suit haunted the lair next to his. By all Ghost Zone accounts, that made them neighbors. The elderly ghost made the connection at the same time and gestured for him to join him.
“Hawkshaw! Oh my dear boy, you’re in here too? I was rather hoping you’d be able to keep my lair safe while I was away,” his neighbor grumbled as he shook his head.
“No can do,” he sighed. “I was wonderin’ where you got to, just never thought you’d be in this mess too.” Now that he thought more about it, he hadn’t seen his neighbor ghost for a few weeks before he himself got nabbed. He really should have paid more attention to what was going on around him.
“Yes, terrible business this. Didn’t even see it coming!” he complained with a dramatic wave of his arm. “One minute I was flying around an old art museum admiring some of the classics from my day, and the next I’m beset upon by two of these ‘agents’ and fleeing for my life! Flew right to the school - only place I thought I’d be safe what with Phantom spending all his time there when he’s a human. Thought I’d be safer caught by him than–”
“Perce, would ya can it?” Hawshaw ordered as he placed a hand over the other ghosts’ blabbering mouth.
The portly ghost immediately pushed him aside, looking affronted and insulted that the other ghost would put hands on him. “I dare say, what is the meaning of this?”
“Stop for a minute and think about what you’re sayin’ will ya? You can’t go blabbin’ that in a joint like this!” he scolded in a harsh whisper, but he knew it was pointless. He knew their captors could hear everything they said, even the whispers. “You think they let us flap our lips for our own good? No, they let us talk so they can listen. That’s why they’re always putting us with new ghosts. See what we’ll spill.”
He’d made the connection before - it’s what he did after all, spent his whole life making connections and now he just kept making them in death - and he just assumed everyone else saw the same. Or at least saw enough to know not to go breaking one of the unwritten rules of the Ghost Zone in front of their captors. He didn’t know when everyone had collectively agreed not to blab that Phantom kid’s secret to the living, but they learned what happened when anyone’s loose lips talked a little too much about Plasmius and decided to not take the chance. Those halfas were dangerous business.
Perce’s eyes slowly widened with horrified understanding. “Oh…oh no. Oh dear me. Oh Hawkshaw you know I’ve never been good at keeping quiet on things. I do enjoy hearing the sound of my voice you see, and I’m afraid that I might have…”
Hawkshaw let Perce prattle on behind him about other secrets he may have divulged as he looked towards the agents stationed in their room. Sure enough, those eager beavers looked more alive than he’d ever seen them. One of them didn’t even notice he had a wrinkle on his pristine white coat. So they not only heard Perce spill his guts, but they knew what it meant too. Just like him, they could make connections.
“Poor kid,” he sighed under his breath. He just had to hope he wouldn’t end up seeing Phantom in one of his upcoming rotations. He wanted to think they wouldn’t do this to someone who was half-human, but judging how they’d been treated…well he just didn’t know anymore…
~*~
The entire day at school Danny had a feeling he should have called out sick. He really couldn’t afford to call out given how often he ditched because of ghost attacks, and he probably would have had a worse experience enduring his parents’ homemade “cures” for being sick, but he just had a feeling that the school was the last place he needed to be today.
Maybe that feeling of doom would go away after the history test he didn’t study for? Nope, it was still there, even after he bombed the test.
Maybe it would go away after gym class where he had to play tag football with actual football players? No, that actually ended up to be pretty fun because he kept turning his flag intangible.
Maybe it was because he hadn’t read Crime and Punishment and didn’t feel like spending another day talking about a book he hadn’t even opened and pretending to care? Well since he was currently in his English class, that had to be it.
“That’s an interesting theory Ms. Sanchez, though I don’t think Dostoevsky really thought about how his novel would impact his Instagram followers back in the eighteen-hundreds,” Lancer said patiently while Sam rolled her eyes. “Now to pivot the conversation a bit, Raskolnikov believes that he is acting for the betterment of society by murdering this woman. Do you think he truly is putting the needs of the many over the needs of the few? Or is he perhaps using it as a mask to justify his own personal ambition?”
Sam very eagerly raised her hand in the air, as she had many times throughout their discussion of this book. “What, I like Dostoevsky’s bleak look on humanity,” she would constantly assert. Danny and Tucker were both hoping she’d use her personal enjoyment of this book to help them write their final essays later.
Lancer gestured towards Sam, but before she could share her thoughts with the classroom the door opened. Principal Ishiyama stepped inside, her face drawn and solemn. Two men in pristine white suits stepped into the classroom behind her and immediately took up flanking positions on either side of the desk.
Panic clutched at Danny’s heart, forcing it to somehow stop and beat faster all at the same time. His breath caught in his lungs as blood pounded through his head.
The Guys in White. Here, at his school. Interrupting their class. His class.
He knew he shouldn’t have gone to school today. He knew he should have trusted that gut instinct to stay home. It wasn’t anything as banal as a test or a football game or a book - it was a warning his very life could be in danger.
“Class, these are Agents K and O. They have an important announcement from the government,” Principal Ishiyama introduced, and somewhere behind all the panic in his now hyper-aware state, Danny noted that she didn’t seem too pleased with the interruption to the school’s daily activities.
One of the agents stepped forward and cleared his throat. The fluorescent lights shone off his perfectly shaved head. Immediately Danny recognized both of them as the two agents he consistently dealt with. He’d been unfortunate enough to see a few of them over his time as a ghost, but these two seemed to be assigned to him personally. Even if they could be occasionally incompetent, they knew his moves and knew more about him than he cared to admit, and that made them even more dangerous.
“We are from the Ghost Investigation Ward,” Agent K announced. His crisp, monotone voice sent a shiver up Danny’s spine. “We have been tasked with monitoring the activity of an entity colloquially referred to as Phantom.”
The mention of the ghostly superhero that most of the class idolized generated whispers around the room. Agent O raised a hand and immediately the chatter ceased. “We know that some of you have been mistakenly rooting for this ghost, so we need to set the record straight.”
“You think he’s been saving you from the other ghosts,” Agent K added.
“But that couldn’t be further from the truth. We have evidence that he has been coordinating these attacks to look the hero.” Agent O grabbed a device and Danny immediately flinched because he assumed this had to be some kind of weapon. But instead it projected an image onto the white board behind them. The slideshow of pictures showcased Phantom talking to various ghosts from his rogue’s gallery.
He knew the GiW watched him, and he knew people took photos of him and put them up on the socials, but he never really paid attention to how bad some of his conversations with the ghosts could look without context. Sometimes he would just chat with them before they fought! Or he’d try to convince them nicely to leave. He’d even built up an uneasy truce over the years with some of them and didn’t have to be as outwardly antagonistic anymore. But these perfectly chosen and curated photos told a story, one that made him look very bad, and from the murmurs of some people in the class, some of them bought it.
“Oye, you don’t expect us to believe you right?” Paulina spoke up, and Danny’s spirits lifted slightly. At least he could always count on Paulina to have his back. Well, Phantom’s back at least. She’d throw Danny to the wolves in a heartbeat. “I mean, that’s my picture from my Insta!” she accused as she pointed at the most recent picture on the whiteboard. “I took that right before they started fighting!”
“They were probably talking about how to stage the fight,” Agent K shot back.
Danny could feel Sam roll her eyes from beside him, and normally he would have joined her if not for the terror that still gripped his heart.
Agent O straightened out his broad shoulders and squared up with the class. “This ghost is dangerous. He has hurt people, just like other ghosts.” Images flashed up onto the board of Phantom’s attacks against the Mayor and townspeople from the overshadowing incident (that he still could never live down).
“He has destroyed buildings, and streets, and government property, just like other ghosts.” More images flashed across the white board of Phantom shooting ecto-blasts into buildings (a ghost had just been there a moment before) or Phantom throwing a ghost into the ground (he didn’t think he’d thrown them hard enough to crack the pavement). “I know none of you understand taxes yet, but your parents are paying tons of money to fix the city in the wake of his destruction.”
Each image stabbed Danny through the heart and twisted the metaphorical blade further and further inside. He’d grown used to the constant slander against his name from his parents, but somehow this felt even worse because he knew he couldn’t speak up. Even his classmates’ dissents had grown quieter.
“Even if you still want to argue that he’s not a ghostly mastermind, then you have to acknowledge his presence in this town is drawing ghosts of increasing power just to challenge him,” Agent K added. “His presence doesn’t protect you: it endangers you.”
Danny’s gut twisted as his gaze fell down to his lap. He didn’t even want to register the murmurs of his classmates, because as much as he hated to admit it, they were right. He had inadvertently destroyed parts the town in his quest to keep it safe. And even if he tried to justify that the town would be in worse shape if he let the ghosts do what they want, he still couldn’t argue with the damage. It’s why he tried not to revisit the sites of his previous ghost fights unless he absolutely had to. And as for drawing more powerful enemies…well that was also unfortunately true. More powerful and ancient ghosts kept coming out of the woodwork and he doubted they had any real interest in Amity Park aside from the fact that he lived here.
Feeling like they’d finally gotten somewhere, the agents’ generally impassive postures and facial expressions broadened in confidence. “And we have reason to believe that Phantom has grown even more dangerous.”
That caught Danny’s attention and pulled him out of his self-loathing. He looked back up at the agents with curiosity and worry. Whatever they had to say, whatever they had learned…it could not be good.
Agent K cleared his throat dramatically. “We don’t know how this is possible, but we have learned that Phantom is not a full ghost.”
Danny’s heart stopped for so long he could swear he’d transformed. No…no they couldn’t know that. How could they know that? He was just mishearing them right? They couldn’t possibly mean–
“He has a human persona, and that persona attends Casper High.”
The collective gasp echoed through the silent room. Students looked around the room at their friends to confirm what they heard, because surely they must have heard wrong. Phantom? Here? Posing as one of them? The shocked quiet quickly grew into excited chatter as they tried to guess who the agents might be referring to.
Only three students refrained from the excited chatter; Sam and Tucker cast sideways glances at Danny, who simply stared straight ahead, white as a sheet and seemingly frozen.
Agent O cleared his throat again. “We don’t know what grade he’s in, but we know he…”
Whatever else they said, Danny didn’t hear any of it. Their voices faded into a muted mumble in the background, replaced by an oppressive silence and a loud ringing that drowned everything else out. His hands trembled beneath his desk and sweat beaded down the back of his burning neck because the room had suddenly become too warm and too cold at the same time.
His core spasmed, sending warning shocks that he needed to leave, that he needed to disappear, that he was in danger. He needed to run, flee, hide, disappear, something - but he couldn’t. He was stuck. If they knew Phantom was human…then they were watching him. They were watching everyone. He couldn’t afford to make a single suspicious move. So even though he still couldn’t hear anything except the blood pounding in his ears, and even though he was sure he was in the middle of a full-blown panic attack, he summoned all the courage he could find in the very depths of his being and finally turned to look at other students in the room, to play his part in the act as convincingly as he could.
“I’m sure you can understand how this malevolent ghost’s existence in the school is a hidden danger to all of you.” Agent K’s voice still sounded like he was underwater, but he could at least pick out words now. “We will do our part to help find and catch Phantom so you can all learn again in safety.”
“But we could also use your help,” Agent O added, and that started up the whispers again. “You’re around your fellow students more and you will see more suspicious behavior. So if you see something, say something.”
“If someone does something strange or unexplainable,” Agent K offered as he ticked off a list on his fingers.
“If someone is often seen around ghosts,” Agent O added with another tick.
“Someone who has always been pro-Phantom.”
“Someone who is missing during ghost attacks.”
“Someone who sets you on edge when you’re around them.”
“Or someone who just feels…suspicious.”
Agent K dropped his hands and clasped them stoically behind his back. “You should report any of that to us. We will be a constant presence here and will welcome any student who wants to come forward with information.”
In his paranoia Danny could swear he felt the eyes of every student on the back of his head, but when he chanced to look around the room, he noticed everyone else was also looking at every other potential suspect. It gave him a temporary relief from the panic that seemed to be building to such heights that he thought he would explode from it, but it wasn’t much. Because he had done all of those things in front of many members in this classroom, and if any of them really focused on their memories or God help him actually talked to each other, they’d put this together pretty quick. They may not have their eyes on him right now, but given enough time to think about it, someone would make the connection.
“And if your information or even an accusation leads to the identification of Phantom, then we have been approved to give a reward of five thousand dollars.” Agent O let that offer hang dramatically in the air. Danny watched the eyes of everyone else in the room grow large. Five thousand dollars was a lot for anyone, but for a teenager it was a huge sum. There was no way he could compete with that kind of money being thrown around.
“Plus, if you have any other special requests, we have strings we can pull to make them happen,” Agent K proposed. “Sport scholarship to your choice college? We can make that happen.”
“Ivy league acceptance? Done,” Agent O promised.
“Influencer status on social media? Done.”
“Better healthcare coverage for you or a family member? Done.”
“Um I’m sorry, how can you promise all of this?” Sam spoke up, her skepticism and derision clear as she stared them down.
Danny’s first gut instinct was to yell at Sam to keep quiet or to step on her foot or something to keep her from drawing attention to herself. The last thing they needed was for the GiW to look in their direction. But then he also realized that the rest of the students would expect Sam to argue about these points given how vocal she usually was about certain government programs; she was still trying to convincingly play her part too.
“Because we’re the government,” Agent K answered simply.
“So you basically want us to rat out one of our own,” another student piped up, clearly emboldened by Sam’s criticism.
“I want you to do what’s best for the good of society and for the good of your own safety,” Agent O responded without missing a beat.
“And it’s not ‘one of your own,’” Agent K added. “It’s a ghost masquerading as one of you. It doesn’t belong here.”
“What will happen to the student?” Kwan asked.
“We will have to detain them for the security and safety of the town, but as agents of the government we would never hurt a citizen of this great country without cause,” Agent O assured them.
He must have practiced that lie long and hard in front of the other agents, because he sounded genuine, but Danny knew he was lying. He’d known for a long time that if the GiW ever caught him, they would treat him as inhumanely as they treat every other ghost at their facility. Solitary confinement, experiments, torture - he never expected anything better from these soulless husks in deceptively white suits.
“Now, having said all of this, if Phantom would like to turn himself in at this time as a gesture of good faith, we will take that into account when determining sentencing, and we will extend those rewards and promises to a person of your choosing,” Agent K offered.
Danny almost laughed at the ridiculous offer. Good faith? Take it into account? They wouldn’t do anything of the sort.
“Didn’t think that would work,” he shrugged as he turned to his partner. “Let’s go, we still have three other classrooms to hit this period. You know where to find us.”
The two agents turned in unison and strode out of the room with the principal following after them. As soon as the door shut the classroom erupted in chatter. It was hard to pick out the general feel of the other students: excitement at the reward, protection over one of their own, curiosity over who it could be - it all felt so jumbled around him when he was still just trying to focus on breathing. The oppressive weight of the agents’ presence lifted once they left the room, but it hadn’t vanished. Knowing they were still in the school, still nearby, held his heart in a vice. Maybe the pressure lessened, but it still wasn’t free.
He finally felt like he could look at Tucker and Sam safely, and the same level of nervous concern reflected back in their faces. Sam tried to give him a reassuring nod, but it felt hollow and forced. Maybe he’d be more responsive to a classic Team Phantom “we can handle anything” talk later, but right now he felt too overwhelmed to even begin to think about how they could handle this.
He wanted to flee, but it would look too suspicious. He wanted to sleep, but he didn’t dare close his eyes. He wanted to go home, but he didn’t expect to find any peace there once his parents heard about this. And a tiny, overwhelmed, exhausted part of him rose out of the dark in his mind and wanted to give up and turn himself in, but he was more scared than tired to think further on that option. He didn’t really know what more he could do other than just stare ahead numbly at he white board.
“Okay people, I’m not letting this fool’s hunt take up any more of my time today!” Lancer yelled over the class. Some of the chatter died down, but a lot of it didn’t. “Now we are going to keep talking about Crime and Punishment, and if I hear any chatter from any of you about Phantom, I’m going to assign you an essay a chapter until this unit is over,” he threatened.
That seemed to stop the whispers as the room plunged into absolute silence. “There, that’s better. I should use that threat more often,” Lancer mused under his breath. “Now, given everything we just heard, you really should pay attention to this discussion, because Dostoevsky has some pretty apropos thoughts about choosing your own satisfaction at the cost of another’s…”
Danny would love to listen to reasons why every student in the room maybe wouldn’t immediately turn him in, but he just couldn’t focus on anything else while the throes of panic still held tight. Did they just expect him to pay attention in class like nothing happened? To comment on a book he hadn’t read and pretend that the carefully maintained Jenga tower of his life wasn’t teetering on one small block at the base that could give out any moment? And now every single student in the school had a chance to take a crack at knocking that last remaining brick aside and he was left with no more blocks or prayers or hopes that it could stay up. That tower would fall, and everything would be over, and he had no idea how he was supposed to just live his life until that inevitable collapse.
Except…he had to pretend to live his life. If he showed that this threat freaked him out more than any other student, he’d be found out. If he struggled more now than he did before, he’d be found out. Maybe the tower would topple in the end, but the longer he could push it off…maybe he could find some way around it. Postponing his discovery as long as possible was his only chance at figuring something out. He just…had to pretend nothing was wrong. Live life like he wasn’t hiding some half-ghost secret. And if a ghost attacked…well he’d figure it out. Meanwhile he just had to divert attention and rumors away from himself for as long as he could. Easier said than done.
He took deep calming breaths and tried to focus not so much on Lancer’s words, but at least on the tone of his voice. He used that familiar voice to ground himself. He had to calm down enough to walk out of this class without catching anyone’s attention. If he could do that, he’d consider it his first victory. He just had to calm down.
But no matter what he did, he still couldn’t stop his hands from shaking.

Found Family (4/?)
So I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of positive reactions this story is getting. I just want to say thank you to everyone who takes the time to like or reblog or comment my work because it means the world to me.
Fandom: Now You See Me
Pairing: Danny Atlas x Reader
Warnings: Some swearing — read at your own discretion.
Part 3
“Hello New York!” Danny exclaimed, stepping forward and greeting the crowd. They screamed.
“Thank you so much! Hey, it’s great to be back! And have you met our newest Horsemen, the May sisters! Y/n and Lula!”
The audience cheered louder and you and Lula waved, bright smiles on both your faces. Danny grinned back at you with a wink.
“Feels good right?”
You nodded, “Yep.”
“Pretty good,” Lula said, walking across the stage, “Pretty good.”
Danny turned back to the audience and started to calm them, “Thank you, thank you.”
The cheering quietened.
“Um, okay. We want to talk to you about your privacy. What does your privacy mean to you?”
“Because apparently to Owen Case, it means absolutely nothing,” Merritt continued.
The audience looked around nervously. Your smile widened as you moved to stand next to Danny.
“No actually, Merritt, it means less than absolutely nothing,” you said before addressing the audience, “You see, Owen’s mocked your privacy. He’s scorned it.”
Danny nodded, running a discreet hand down your back and loosening the tension in your shoulders. You tried not to blush in front of an audience of people.
“Right,” he continued, “and we’re not just talking about the things that you already agreed to when you signed probably without reading the terms and conditions of Octas 1 through 7.”
“So,” Lula began, “Before we start the show, we had Owen agree to a few terms of our own.”
You grinned at her, proud of her for reaching this dream. She looked so comfortable up there, talking to the audience. You were glad to be able to do it with her, too.
“So everything that he had once considered private…” Lula trailed off.
Your heart dropped to your stomach as her mic cut out. One glance at Danny told you he understood and he quickly walked over to Lula.
“Yeah, everything that he once considered private is now…” his mic cut off too.
“Shit,” you whispered, not bothering to mind your language as you assumed yours had cut off too.
The screen behind you flashed and white noise filled the theatre. People screamed.
“Oh my,” a computer-generated voice echoed through the room, “As the Horsemen like to say, magic is about controlling perception.”
You gazed up at the shifting face that appeared on the screen. Someone grabbed your arm gently and you turned to see Danny.
“Y/n!” He exclaimed, “Are you alright?”
You swallowed, fear piercing through you, “I… yeah. Yeah I’m okay. What’s going on, Danny?”
He shook his head, “I don’t know.”
“You see them as the champions of the truth,” the voice continued, “but are they? Or is that just another one of their illusions?”
“Shit shit shit,” Merritt was saying as he and Lula joined you and Danny in the middle of the stage, “Where’s Dylan?”
“And Jack?” Lula added.
“So since they clearly love secrets, let’s reveal some of theirs.”
“Danny, everyone, get off the stage,” Dylan’s voice crackled through the coms, “Jack, go with them. I’ll see you at the meet up point.”
Danny’s hand moved down your arm and gripped yours. You squeezed his fingers in response.
“Let’s go,” he said, pulling you off the stage behind him.
The four of you began running, the voice echoing behind you clear as day.
“Do you recall the death of Jack Wilder? What if I told you he’s not just alive, but he’s actually right here.”
Jack’s alarmed face under his security cap was displayed on a screen you passed as you ran out of the backstage area.
“Dammit,” you heard Danny mutter. His hand was still firmly clasped around yours. Normally you would be bothered by the tightness, but adrenalin was coursing through your veins and you were just that desperate not to lose track of him in this chaos.
“And do you know who else is here? The FBI. Let’s let them in, shall we? And now for the big reveal…”
“Where’s the door to the roof?” Danny called to Jack as the younger man joined the group running to the meeting point.
“Take the next left then up the stairs,” Jack said.
“There’s a fifth Horseman, and he’s the biggest criminal of them all. FBI agent Dylan Rhodes.”
The five of you punched through the door to the roof.
“How the hell could this happen? I thought Dylan had everything under control!” Merritt yelled.
“Yeah. Apparently he didn’t,” Danny said, quietly frustrated in the way you knew he could get.
Merritt whirled on the illusionist, and something in his expression told you Danny wouldn’t like what he was about to say.
“Maybe you’re the leak, Dan. Where’ve you been sneaking off to?” Merritt demanded.
Danny let go of your hand and advanced on the mentalist, “Don’t you dare for a second insinuate that I had anything to do with this!”
“I’m not insinuating, that’s your-“ Merritt began to retort, but Jack cut in.
“Let’s get to the truck, come on!”
You all ran to the black tube. Danny nudged you in front of him, and you jumped in.
Gritting your teeth against the roller-coster sensation in your gut, you crossed your arms over your chest and noted with some curiosity the pulsing sound coming from the gaps in the tube.
You could also hear Jack sliding ahead of you and Danny behind you. After a moment you also heard Merritt screaming further back.
Then, with a thud you tumbled into a laundry basket.
“Wha…” you breathed, getting a split second to gaze around at your surroundings before Danny slammed into you.
“Oof,” he said, “Sorry. You okay?”
You winced, “Yeah. A little bruised, but I’ve had worse. You?”
He nodded as Lula and Merritt tumbled into the basket next to you, “Yeah. What the hell is going on?”
“Wasn’t there supposed to be a truck?” Merritt asked, clambering out of the basket. The rest of you followed his lead. Asian people in white aprons started yelling at you, shoving you through a crowded, steamy kitchen.
“Wait,” Danny said in between being shoved by Chinese chefs, “did you mis-run the tube?”
“No, I put it in the truck, I know I did!” Jack exclaimed, bumping into you while trying to dodge an oncoming tray.
“We’re really not in the truck right now,” you said, stumbling into Danny who reached back and grabbed your hand, the sensation becoming familiar to you.
“Somebody must have moved the tube,” Merritt said, as you all moved through a set of doors into what looked like a restaurant, “Were we above a Chinese restaurant?”
“I’m moving, relax!” Lula yelled at the man who was shoving her out of the kitchen.
“Okay, why are we here?” you demanded.
“Why am I frickin’ starving?” Lula asked, staring at the Chinese food everywhere.
“Yeah, I’m weirdly starving too,” Jack mused.
At their words your own stomach growled, responding to the smell of noodles and stir fry surrounding you.
Merritt moved towards the door, popping his head outside.
“Something’s very wrong,” you told Danny softly.
He nodded, brows furrowed, “Yeah, I agree.”
“At least,” Lula began as Merritt returned, “And I know this isn’t much consolation, but apparently we’re now surrounded by Chinese food. Right?”
“Guys…” Merritt said and you all turned to look at him, “I think where we are right now, they don’t refer to it as ‘Chinese food’. It’s just called… food.”
“Shit,” you muttered.
“Wait, what are you saying?” Danny asked, “How is this possible?”
