“Lord. Moriarty.” William looked up to find a group of women before him. It wasn’t an uncommon sight; he always seemed to draw their attention whenever he attended social events.

If he were being honest, he’d rather stay home; but as is the way of society.

��A pleasure to see you again, Lady Bridgerton.” He greeted politely, smiling charmingly as the girls giggled in their hands. He took her offered hand, bringing it to her lips for a polite peck to her knuckles. “I’m glad to see you in good health. Has the advice I’ve given you for your headaches helped at all?”

“Oh but of course, Lord. Moriarty! You are too kind!” She gushed, but her words seemed to fade from him the longer he held her hand. This was usually the time to let go, but she was still gripping his hand rather tight- and it would be rude to yank it away.

William prayed his plastered smile didn’t show his discomfort as he nodded along, his other hand twitching to flex. His hands- he found out rather quickly- were awfully sensitive. The silk gloves he wore did nothing to aid his predicament. If anything- it made it far worse.

“And I was just telling my husband he needed to see the doctor. He’s been having the worst cough as of late. Do you have anything that could help with that?” Her question brought him back. A cough, a cough..

“Ginger tea with a dash of honey. That should help with the tickle in his pal-throat.” He nearly slipped. The woman didn’t seem to notice, nodding and gossiping at the advice. Lady Bridgerton smiled up at him with such warmth, her hand squeezing his. It sent shivers of ticklishness up his back, but he held strong.

“Thank you very much, Lord Moriarty. I’ll be sure to request that with his breakfast starting tomorrow. Thank you again!” Eventually the ladies left, and William could breathe once more. Flexing his hands, he let them fall to his sides.

“Eeh!” Something ticklish wiggled into his palm, making him startle and pull his hand up. “Apologies-” He began, turning to-

“Interesting.” Sherlock Holmes smiled at him, eyes dancing with new discovery. “Ticklish, Liam? I never would have guessed.”

Remus Lupin. 10/10. Still fixated on him and his complex character. Hate JKR and her stupid terfy face and literal racism and the way she ruined some of her best characters. (Definitely not salty about tonks and her entire character becoming obsessed with Remus) RIP, bbg. You deserved a better author and less mischaracterization from the fandom.

Cedric Diggory. 8/10. The fixation didn't last long, but it was fun. I think I clinged to him because hes one of like 8 Hufflepuffs mentioned in the books and IM a Hufflepuff.

Percy Jackson. The icon. 9/10. Love that sassy mfer AND HES LOYAL TO ANNABETH?!?!? perfect. Had 9 year old Izzy in a chokehold.

Nico Di Angelo. 7/10. I think I wanted to be friends with him tbh. It wasn't really a crush but more of a 'i am him, and he is me.' He just like me fr fr.

Carlise Cullen. 9/10. Hes a vampire doctor father figure. All the boxes were checked. I don't know why, but I read the hospital scene in twilight and my brain went blank. Same with watching the movie as an 8 year old. Got me giggling and twirling my hair.

Atticus Finch. 11/10. You're starting to see a pattern, aren't you? Bonus point for doing the right thing despite common beliefs at the time of TKAM. He's literally such an interesting character and I think I either want to be fucked by him, or I want him to be my father. I can't decide. He was also played by Gregory Peck, so...🫡 yeah.

Klaus Boudelaire. 7/10. He was smart, and little Izzy had a fixation on smart boys who would read. The actor who played him also looked like my third grade crush and 8 year old Izzy was smitten. I would've been best friends with him fr fr. Count Olaf can catch these pale hands.

Anime Characters:

I would like to preface this by saying I was in middle school and unmedicated. I am still unmedicated, but it was worse then. Thank you for your understanding about whatever the fuck this is about to say about me.

Sebastian Michaelis. 9/10. Still fixated on him. -1 for almost dying multiple times. Black Butler is STILL my shit. It was the first anime I was really into. First Manga I ever read. First hyperfixation I can remember that wasn't a book series, not counting My Little Pony. I saw the butler and father figure and 11 year old Izzy went 👀.

William T Spears. 8/10. I don't know what it was. I just liked him a LOT. The mental illness was taking over.

...Ciel Phantomhive. 7/10. Same reasons as Nico. I wont elaborate further.

Levi Ackerman. 10/10. Who wasn't obsessed with Levi when watching AOT?? Pfff imagine liking a type of napoleon bonapart 🧍‍♂️. Couldn't be me. Not at all. 🧍‍♂️.

Shouta Aizawa. 11/10. I have no words to explain why my brain decided the teacher was my crush. Hes twice my age. Hes sleep deprived. He has zero patience left. But my brain said tehehe go for THAT one. And he was just trying to sleep in that yellow sleeping bag.

Shoto Todoroki. 6/10. I was influenced by the fandom at the time. Hes...fine I guess. Another complex traumatized character. Had 11 year old Izzy in a chokehold. Idfk.

(Unfortunately) Kai Chisaki. 3/10. He was hot to 13 year old Izzy. Complex character but unfortunately a bad person. Can't defend myself here.

Dabi. 4/10. It's slightly better than Chisaki. Had a love/hate thing. I wrote a fanfic about ripping his staples out and leaving him to die. I had problems, if you couldn't tell. Thats literally the only violent thing I'd ever written and it was one of my most popular fics on my old blog (RIP all the fics I deleted)

Kusuo Saiki: 10/10. Looking back on it, he's literally so me core. Would we be friends irl? Probably not. I think my intrusive thoughts would take him back and he'd be like '...what the fuck??' So yeah. But also yeah. He's literally so me. He just wants to be left alone but ALSO SECRETLY ADORES HIS FRIENDS!!!! Had middle school me in a deadlock. The Beast from Beauty and the Beast. 6/10. I think its kind of common for little girls. Idk.

Prince Eric. 9/10. I think he was also common for little girls. Bro was brainwashed but lowkey reluctant bc I think he KNEW Ariel was the singing girl. I love himbos.

The Phantom of the Opera. 10/10. We love serial killers who are also obsessive but also very fucked up. And he can play the organ 🙂. Yumby. It was fruit for the soul. Talking about 2004 movie, but 1990s miniseries Erik was also good.

Jumin Han (Mysmes). 8/10. He was the first good ending I got between him and 707. Had me stressing. Does Jumin Han Is Gay? (Maybe). Had 12 year old izzy questioning things.

This one is more of a william afton x reader one!

You were laying on a bed, William was standing next to you on your left side, and michael was sitting in a chair on the other, holding your hand softly. After putting the chard back at the shelf at your foot end, he made his way towards you, gripping a small flashlight out of his pocket. He moved your hair out infront of your eyes, giving you a quick peck on your forehead before he held his hand on your head, flashing the flashlight into your eyes, making you move his finger afterwards. "Does anything hurt you still?" He asked, looking down at you with a kind smile, yet worry could be read over his expression. You shook your head carefully, your head still pressed in the pillow.

"You've been very lucky, love." By this michael shook his head, the grip on your hand tightening. "I still dont understand why you did that, y/n. It could've turned out so much worse!" Followed by, "you really scared the shit out of me. Don't you ever do that again." Michael still had a faint red color around his eyes, sniffing his nose quietly. "I'm sorry -" you tried to apologize, but william just shook his head down at you. "Don't love. And michael, keep your voice down. You're scaring her." Michael's eyes widened slowly, letting your hand go. Making you look towards him, the warmth is now completely replaced with the cold, windy atmosphere. You didnt say anything, just letting the quilt feeling swallowed down. "Will?" Your voice was sore, raspy even. "Hm?" William was looking at the machine, connected to one of the tubes stuck in your hand. "When can I go home?" William looked back down at you, a small sad smile on his face.

"I'd like you to be here for atleast two more days for observation, then. Because ur lucky ur amazing man of a partner is a doctor, we can try and get home." He was playing with roots of your hair, his white jacket softly scrooving across your skin. "But. That is, if ur stable enough. And even then, we gotta take it slow love. Meaning no pizzeria for a long time." You nod your head, smiling slightly.

"Now, scoot over. Ive got about a hour until I have to do rounds again" you could hear the annoyance in his voice, he'd rather stay here with you at all times, holding you close and protecting you at all costs then leave you for even a split second. You did as told, scooting over just a bit for william to get in with you, holding you softly against his chest, but still with a protective hand over you, his head laying atop of yours.

You smiled, softening against him as you watch michael swallow, looking down at the floor. He was probably still upset about the scene that went through before you were here. William yelling at michael outside your room, ofcourse blaming him for you getting hurt, even when you tried to convince william it was your fault, he wouldnt blame you. He would never, you were his after all; nothing could make him blame you or look negatively at you.

It made you grab michaels hand softly, making him hesitantingly interwine your hands together, as he looks up at you, seeing you smile softly at him. "Come on, silly." You mumble, using your strenght to pull michael of his chair, him standing up his own, not wanting you to do anything that could hurt you. You scooted closer to william, making michael get in at your otherside, his hand carefully at your back and the other awkwardly resting on his own hip, his leg pulled underneath yours.

This is exactly what you needed, laying in a bed with the two people you love the most, even tho you wish to forget the accident that brought you here.

Watts's bed mate doesn't want him leaving for the day..

Watts groaned as he woke up with sunlight just above his head. His current bed partner was still sleeping, blocked by the man’s own body from the morning. He was tempted to curl back up and do the same. Unfortunately, there was work to be done today, unless he wanted to lose his room. Sitting up, he rubbed his eyes before standing and heading to the toilet.

When he came back to dress, his bed mate had already claimed his warm area. “Llewellyn, come back to bed,” he groaned, eyes not even open.

“I cannot,” he said, fishing out a pair that was only slightly winkled. He wasn’t sure on smell, though. His own scents were normal to his nose. “I’m meeting with someone that will provide me with a decent cheque for the room.”

Sitting up, the blanket covering him fell, and Watts had to avert his eyes from the chest and markings he created during their nightly discoveries. Even the scars covering a chunk of the skin did nothing to distract from the beauty he held. If he wanted to meet with Murdoch over a possible case that the Constabulary couldn’t investigate, then he couldn’t let himself be distracted. The man in the bed knew what he was doing. “Do you need that money so badly that you’ll leave me lonely?” he smirked.

Oh, what a cruelty that he couldn’t stay in bed. But, he didn’t even have enough for a pretzel. The last time he had one, it was Doctor Ogden that treated him. Their normal matron had gotten sick and they needed someone to watch Susannah for the night. An adorable little girl, he might have read some old Grimm tales against Murdoch’s recommendation. Really didn’t matter, she was more interested with his curls and his voice. He could have been reading a catalog for all she knew.

“Unfortunately, the world does not allow us to make a living on what we do between the sheets,” he mentioned, knowing that there probably was a market, albeit incredibly well hidden one, for their type of proclivities.

The other man kept smirking. Apparently, he knew.

“Well, a little kiss wouldn’t throw you too far off, would it?”

Stopping his buttoning, he pondered it for three seconds before bending over the bed. One quick peck turned into a deeper moment.

And then he was underneath the other body. Pinned, he whined as his body reacted to the wonderful pressure. Once they broke apart, he was gasping for air while the man’s wicked grin just seemed to grow. Along with something else that he felt. “I think you’re going to be a little late for that meeting,” he teased. He jumped up to try and gain friction, but the other man held him down. It was one of those times, and he felt himself reacting pleasantly…

Then, someone started knocking at the door. “Watts?” a familiar voice called through the door.

He groaned. Leave it to Murdoch to interrupt. He knew he should have pulled away faster. Flopping on the bed, he was curious at the reaction his bed mate had to the interruption. There was a contemplation that he’s seen a couple of times, namely after reading the paper. “Of course Murdoch would come up when I don’t meet him at the door,” Watts muttered.

That solidified something in his mind, as he kept staring at the door. “William Murdoch,” he said. Watts picked up on that. I never said Murdoch’s first name. He turned back down to him. “I didn’t know you were at Station House Four.”

“How do you know Murdoch?” he inquired.

The man actually became a little sheepish. It was a bit novel on him. “Well, my younger days were a tad problematic,” he explained, “A few run-ins with the charming detective over some criminal activities.”

“Watts, are you awake?”

“What exactly did you do?” he questioned, somewhat curious and worried.

Not willing to wait, and more than willing to interrupt the younger man, and get things going, he heard the lock on his room door being picked and the two turned to see the man opening the door.

William Murdoch stopped when he saw Watts lying in bed. Although, it was because of the man holding him down. Not unlike in scenarios where Julia was gently holding him down in bed, although that is not what he wanted his mind to fill with right now. No, the man that was currently, apparently, sharing a bed with Watts was not suppose to be there. Not in the way that Watts wasn’t supposed to have ‘company’. He started to understand that the man’s orientation didn’t do well in their society and he would have to keep his relationships away from the general public. His feelings and Catholic beliefs had been worked with and he came to a calm about it.

No, it was because of his current ‘partner’.

“James Gillies,” he gasped.

Watts knew that name. His partner turned to the detective. “We were in the middle of something, William,” he scoffed, his grip tightening. Watts felt himself react and tried not to instinctively move. “You’ll get him in…” He looked down and saw the tenting getting worse in his pants. “An hour. Now, close the door.”

Sebastian loved how William just seemed to have an answer for it all - he himself was so unsure, it all was so new. Was he supposed to wear sunscreen always now, whenever he left the house? It felt all so odd. And William was just like...yes, they got this. And he had a plan right away.

He kissed him reassuringly and then fetched the sunscreen, patiently covered Sebastian's skin with it, missed no spots whatsoever. Then he helped him pick clothes - doing this together felt...so much better. Sebastian observed his beloved as he explained what was most likely fine to wear, grabbed a shirt for him, a tank top too. Sebastian felt all warm and fuzzy in his chest. William always made him feel better.

"Okay-...thank you, love. I think the doctor said I also need to wear-...sunglasses and hats. I don't think it's necessary for the woods but-...I guess I'll just take it with me, for when we reach the beach?", he babbled a little, thinking about it as he got changed. There was the distinct smell of sunscreen up in his nose, the cotton, long sleeved shirt he then put on felt nice on his skin. This...was fine. They've got everything under control. And William then pulled him close and kissed him again, telling him he didn't need to worry indeed.

Sebastian blushed even, a smile appearing on his face as they looked into each other's eyes. He put both his hands on William's shoulders, admiring those vivid green eyes for a moment longer. "...I know, dove. Thank you, I love you", one more little peck to the lips. Oh yes, he loved him. He loved him a lot.

"Alright then-...we got my outfit covered now but-...what about you?", Sebastian snickered after some seconds of silence.

For I have sinned...

The principal cleared his throat, eyes scanning the notes that he had wrote down before this meeting. It already lasted an hour, and the teachers gathered in the faculty room were becoming restless and bored. But indeed there were some things to discuss, with the concert that the senior class was supposed to perform at the end of the semester, and with recent staff changes. 

William glanced down at his watch, sighing softly. His class was starting in 15 minutes, so at least, whether the meeting will be done soon or not, he will get to excuse himself. He looked out of the window, his mind wandering. Principal’s voice turned into white noise in the background. It was a pleasant day, late summer. But William was looking forward to a slightly cooler weather. Wearing all black could really be bothersome at times. 

“And lastly, I am pleased to announce that we have finally found replacement for the violin teacher. Dear Mr Tanaka, may he rest in peace, was with us for so many years that I’ve been concerned we won’t be able to find someone as good as to fill this position.” the principal spoke. “But Mr… Michaelis, was highly recommended to me, and he indeed has impressive references. He will be starting this week, so please welcome him warmly once he will arrive. Ah yes… about that. He will arrive today at noon, I need someone to pick him up from the train station and bring over for the tour around the school. Any volunteers?” 

William was barely listening, and definitely not paying much attention. He glanced at his watch again, and saw that it was time to leave, as his class was about to start. He raised his hand to excuse himself, and little did he know, he just volunteered.

“Father William! Excellent!” the principal exclaimed. “Just don’t be late, the train arrives at noon.”

“Train…?” William questioned, raising his brow. He had a feeling he was missing something…

Right after the meeting, William had to run for the class, so he had little time to clarify what exactly he had volunteered for. He was a piano teacher in this Music Academy, but also he served as a priest in local church. Well respected, and rather liked. So when he later found out it was about the new violin teacher, he didn’t refuse. Who, other than himself, would be a better choice to introduce a newcome to their community?

So even though he raised his hand by accident, he accepted this fate.

After classes, at noon, William took a taxi and drove to the train station, to pick up their new teacher. Wearing black trousers, and a black shirt with a thin tie, was absolutely dreadful in this weather, so William quickly found shelter under the roof of the station platform, that provided some shade.

The train had just arrived. William had no idea how Mr Michaelis looked like, but he figured he will just look for someone carrying a violin case with them. 

He was in for a bit surprise.

Dr. David Jones Peck (1826 - January 1855) was the first African American man to graduate from an American medical school. He was born to John C. and Sarah Peck in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. John Peck was a prominent abolitionist and minister who founded the local AME Church in Carlisle. He was a barber and wigmaker.

John and Sarah Peck moved to Pittsburgh in the early 1830s where they established the first school for African American children in the area. He was one of their first students. He studied medicine under Dr. Joseph P. Gaszzam, an anti-slavery white doctor in Pittsburgh. He entered Rush Medical College in Chicago. He toured the state of Ohio with William Lloyd Garrison and Frederick Douglass promoting abolitionist ideals. His status as the first African American graduate of a medical college was used by abolitionists to promote the idea of full citizenship and was implicitly an attack on slavery.

In 1849 he established his practice in Philadelphia. He lived in and worked from a red brick row house with his wife, Mary E. Peck (1849). His medical practice was not successful. Few doctors recognized his status, referred patients to him, or consulted with him.

He closed his medical practice in Philadelphia in 1851 and was preparing to travel to California when Martin Delany, an old friend, and fellow Pittsburgh abolitionist, persuaded him instead to participate in an emigration project that would resettle US free African Americans in Central America.

Delany, he, and other Black emigrants moved to Nicaragua in 1852, settling on the east coast of the nation. The emigrants established San Juan Del Norte with Delaney as the mayor and commander of the militia. He practiced medicine and became the town physician. In 1854 he joined the Liberal side in the Nicaraguan Civil War and was killed by cannon fire in the town of Granada. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence
