Progress Report: 6/17/2023

Started off with the corners and worked my way to completing the top border. Total time was 8 hours and she is a BEAST😮‍💨! Its super fun so far. I can slowly start to see where Stephen face is 🥰. Im super nervous about tackling his face 😅 🤞🏻

OOOO WHAT’S THIS?? A COMIC??? FROM ME??? It’s more likely than you think 👀👀. I apologize for my absence in these trying times. Again, classes have me by the neck but more than anything, I’ve been wanting to spend more time making comics than anything else. I don’t want to keep myself limited to just character doodles. Don’t get me wrong they’re fun but I wanna jeep pushing my limits and finally SHOW you the stories in my head vs just telling them.

Speaking of stories, this is something I’ve been wanting to do for AGES. I just thought this whole scene very much fit Virgil’s story 😭😭. This is part of his story during his first time in the Ministry, trying to understand everything that’s happened with his demonic possession and understanding that everything supernatural is, in fact, real. And it sets off his desperation to know more. But Sister doesn’t seem to be too keen on letting him in the club. Part 2 coming soon, I hope!

So this is one box checked off my list. I've been struggling to actually get around to anything adt wise since the holiday is keeping me busy. But as of today I'm going to start posting on things (after I sleep because my eyes demand it). This was definitely the first thing that I wanted to finish before I moved onto the rest because damn, it's such an important piece to me.

I really enjoyed working on this and I did struggle with the shading on the dress, which is why it didn't come out sooner. But now that it's done, it was definitely worth it.

I will say I also challenged myself to do a more shadow -heavy shading to bring in the feel even though some of the light is restored, it's still Sinister's world and it is dark. I've never done a light source from the background, so this was all new shadow angles for me. I don't think I got them completely right, but I'm satisfied with it and wouldn't change it unless @strangelockd asked me to.

Happy birthday/Merry Christmas my dear. I am so glad I could finish this for you!
