Doc Shinigami/Ock Devil

A continuation of my Shocker's Spider-man design! One of the 6 Generals who run Shocker's America branch, they have hidden within and taken control of the corporation called "Oscorp". Not much is known about the Octopus Kaijin Ock Devil, but rumours say that he was a inventor who was brainwashed into joining SHOCKER. His design is a fusion of the Kamen Rider kaijin Ika Devil and Spider-man's foe Dr Octopus.

Just finished watching Across the Spiderverse (the whole thing was a work of art, obviously) but it got me thinking about spidersonas again. It was a totally sick trend and I’m hella hoping it comes back after being revitalised by this film, but some stuff in the movie got me thinking.

Each universe has everyone in it, right? A spider-man, obviously, but all of their villains too. Vulture, Doc Ock, even theoretically Prowler and Spot too.

So, something cool would be an investigation into that. Have a spidersona already? What about a Spotsona? A Prowlersona? Doc Ocksona??? Come on please i want more spider-verse content and ill beckon it from the tumblr depths myself if I have to.

introducing my Spotsona, The Star (AKA Dr. Mallory Dust) ⭐💜 Dr. Mallory Dust is an Alchemax astrophysicist from a dimension where Dr. Jonathan Ohnn (The Spot) isn't present for the day of Kingpin's super-collider collapse. 

instead, they are the one mutated by the dark matter, with one fateful twist; the star-shaped necklace Mallory wears around their neck is made of material collected from an asteroid. something about the properties of this material interfered with the mutation process, resulting in deep purple, star-shaped holes across their body.

The Star is present in a separate dimension to the one which created The Spot, but Mallory is present in both: in the former, a distant work colleague to Jonathan, and in the latter, an admirer of his work and sympathetic to his plight - quietly working to reverse his condition. still got a lot to think about in terms of their meeting, but i like the idea of The Spot combing dimensions to see if he truly is the only version of himself, and coming across countless other Spot-like beings...sometimes him, and sometimes other unlucky people!! this is definitely an excuse for me to say - all of you making Spidersonas are amazing and so creative;;; however, if it's not for you, you don't need to limit yourself to Spider-Man! you could make a Spotsona, a Doc Ocksona...go wild 😉

Penn: Not really, no. I mean, Olive and I work on tech together behind the scenes, but we aren't, like... partners or anything.

Penn: I guess I've worked with some of the other heroes around New York? But just for in-the-moment stuff that sort of requires us to pool together.

Olive: Oh, the other guys I get grouped with are, to be honest, lame. I don't vibe with them, so I don't work with them. But! I do have some cute lil' Octo-Bots that tag along with me sometimes. Each of 'em is special, because they're all built to do something different. I got the idea from Penn-- she's made a whole bunch of gizmos to fit any situation, so I figured I should do the same!

Olive: Penn knows to go easy on 'em if we have to face off, though. Don't tell her I noticed this, but I'm pretty sure Cool Ranchbot is her favorite.

So, I decided to make a Doc Ock sona after watching NWH. I kinda went ham on it.

Oswald Octavius (because O-first name with Octavius spreads across the multiverse) is/was a Herpetologist and chemist, looking to find a way to regenerate missing limbs on amputees by studying lizards. Originally, he lost his left eye in a lab accident, but gained it back after he attached the Hydra heads to his back. How he attached them is a secret that no one but him knows (though there's a rumor of him making a deal with the devil for it). Some other additions to his body are fangs, a tail, slitted pupils, pointed ears, and claws.

Enzo, Brink, Morro, and Zena are the names of the heads, each with a distinct personality and job. Enzo is the leader next to Oswald. Brink is half of the muscle and tries to scare others before fighting. Morro is the other half of the muscle and attacks before thinking. Zena is the quickest and mostly uses fire to attack. Together, they usually can cooperate with Oswald as their base. All of the heads can morph into claws similar to Doc Ock's claws for travel, though Morro and Brink usually do this.

Olive: That would be MEEEE!!!!

Olive: Hello-a hey there! The name's Olive Octavius, better known to most folks around our world as the nefarious Doctor Octopus! Or Doc Ock for short. Full disclosure, though, I'm not actually a doctor yet-- was wearing a lab coat the first time I got caught on camera, and the name just sort of stuck. But! I am working on getting a doctorate! So maybe a few years down the line the Olive will match the Ock in terms of academic naming conventions.

Olive: Penn and I are going to be running this little project of ours together. I mean, the fact that there's a whole multiverse of possibilities out there means that there's an infinite amount of data points for an infinite number of factors, and so I thought "well, if you can analyze the trends that run across other dimensions, maybe it could serve to correlate to things in our own world, and maybe even predict the emergence of things that haven't had the chance to happen here yet!

Olive: It's truly fascinating! And it gives me a side-project to occupy my time between my other side-projects.
