Riz pulling so much weight for everyone and securing votes vs Kristen being the closest to failing out of school thus inadvertently screwing him. plus her inadvertently bringing Kalina back, who as it stands serves as an antagonistic and deeply painful force in Riz's life. there's just something really ripe and tragic about their friendship rn (even moreso if you wanna throw in the meta that the narrative was steered towards Riz running against Kipperlilly) and it's neither of their faults. No but for some reason I decided eons ago that each of the major characters in Ripplestar's Rot would have suit themes. So far Ripplestar is hearts, Larkstripe is currently diamonds, Spottedpelt is clubs, Gorseclaw is spades.

I might change the suits around though, to mark bloodlines. Like, make both Lark and Ripple have hearts, Spot and Gorse get spades, Marshscar takes diamonds, etc. Unsure, I've gotta play with it.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

thinking about how people who live in their heads and online and not really in the real world talk about fictional characters like they're real people. it's so... like you're supposed to be able suspend your disbelief until you're done reading the book or watching the show. the media we consume shapes us and delivers messages to us and that's not really what i'm talking about, i'm talking about how one time when i made a post about homophobia from bisexuals someone commented on my post being like "your header is literally 2 bisexual women" (korra and asami). no it's not???? korra and asami are not bisexual women. they are lines and colors. they are not capable of being bisexual or women because they are not real. they're an optical illusion of looking at shapes on a paper and our brains interpreting it as a human with a personality. like if I put lady gaga and cardi b on my header then sure dude go ahead talk about how i talk about homophobia from bisexuals while having a header of bisexual women.

I think people on here sometimes forget to turn off their suspension of disbelief and just live perpetually as if their characters are real life people. korra and asami can't call me slurs. if they said a slur in the show it would be the show writers calling me a slur. korra and asami cant identify as lesbians and then date men. if they did that in the show it would be the show writers putting their views on lesbians on display. korra and asami can not participate in the modern lgbt community and its issues any more than a bunch of scribbles that a toddler makes on a paper can. they are not real. the story they are used to tell is being told by real life people who i'm sure is not solely a team of bisexual women. all actions of fictional characters are reflective of the views and thoughts of the people who made them, not of themselves as a real human person that exists, and i think we should be aware of that past the age of like 4 years old.
