BSD MEN x fem!reader

I know this might surprise many of you, but I believe FYODOR might actually be capable of sacrificing the world for his darling. While we don’t know much about him, we do know he is intensely focused on his singular goal and unwaveringly confident in it. However, love is unpredictable—it can make even the most logical person act irrationally. Fyodor, being a semi-canon yandere and canonically willing to gift his darling an entire country as a Valentine’s Day present, shows that he could prioritise his darling in unexpected ways.

Though he is detached and calculative, this doesn’t necessarily mean his obsession lies solely with his ideal world and not his darling. His perception of love likely wouldn’t be romantic or warm—after all, this is Fyodor we’re talking about—but that doesn’t make it any less consuming. If he were to sacrifice the world, it would likely appear to be a practical, impersonal decision on the surface, though it would stem from deeply personal feelings.

Of course, his darling would have to bear the burden of being his weakness, paying the price for making him burn the world down for her.

DAZAI doesn't see a reason to live and has a complicated inner moral compass —if he even has one at all. If he were to find another reason to live beyond his darling, he might let the world burn to protect that purpose. Otherwise, he would likely choose to sacrifice his darling along with himself, as he would want to die together with them.

In doing so, he would simultaneously honour Odasaku's dying wish to save innocent people and do good, while also fulfilling his own desire for a double suicide—albeit in a twisted and tragic way.

CHUUYA… my beloved Chuuya. He would sacrifice you for the sake of the world, but not without crying his heart out in the process. He’s someone who carries his heart on his sleeve, no matter how much he tries to mask it with his tough exterior. This decision wouldn’t just break him—it would shatter him. He’d be haunted by the memory of what he’d done, the sound of your voice, your smile, and the warmth you brought into his life.

After that, he would never be the same. Chuuya, with all his passion and fire, would lose a part of himself—his joy, his light, and perhaps even his will to keep going. Though he wouldn’t let the world burn for you, his sacrifice would scorch his soul in ways no one else could see. He would shoulder the weight of the decision, carrying it like an eternal wound, always hidden beneath his bravado.

I don’t believe he has it in him to let the entire world burn just to keep you. Chuuya’s sense of duty, his unwavering commitment to the people he cares for, and his understanding of the bigger picture wouldn’t allow him to prioritise one life over billions. But that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t destroy him. Deep down, he’s just a man with a heart far too big for the world he lives in.

Yet, in his own way (or maybe even literally), he would die the day you did. Perhaps he would let himself waste away, quietly fading from the world as he lost the only person who made it feel like home. Or perhaps he would go out in a blaze of fury, throwing himself into battles he knew he wouldn’t return from. Either way, the Chuuya you knew—the one who loved you with all his being—would be gone, leaving only a shadow of the man who once was.

NIKOLAI is an obsessive individual, deeply scarred by trauma, pain, and mental instability. He would undoubtedly let the world burn for his darling. Despite his philosophical outlook, which claims to encompass all of humanity, his approach is ultimately rooted in his own personal experiences and inner struggles. At the end of the day, everything is about him.

His so-called friendship with Fyodor is a prime example of this—he clings to it not because Fyodor is a fascinating person in his own right, but because he believes Fyodor is the only one who truly understands him. Not once have we seen Nikolai genuinely reflect on Fyodor’s goals or thoughts. Similarly, his darling would need to be someone who both understands and cherishes him, which would inevitably drive his romantic obsession with her.

There’s no chance Nikolai would sacrifice his darling for anything. However, after letting the world burn for her, would he ultimately kill her because she understands him better than even Fyodor? The possibility is disturbingly high.

Before meeting the ADA Dazai and Atsushi, AKUTAGAWA would likely have let the world burn for his darling without hesitation. His overwhelming need for validation, coupled with his devotion to those he holds dear, would drive him to extreme lengths, prioritising his personal attachments above all else. His harsh upbringing and struggles for survival have made him fiercely protective of those who matter to him, making it plausible that he would abandon the world for his darling’s sake.

However, after his experiences with Atsushi, Akutagawa would find himself in a moral dilemma. These encounters push him to question his black-and-white worldview, challenging him to consider the value of broader ideals like justice, compassion, and sacrifice for the greater good. His budding respect for Atsushi and his complex, unresolved feelings toward Dazai would weigh heavily on his conscience, creating an internal struggle.

While he may still feel a deep, almost obsessive desire to protect his darling at any cost, the lessons he’s learned would make him pause.

Nakahara Chuuya

Ooh, it’s kinda difficult for him to deal with? He’s in two minds about it, really. 

On one hand, he’s strong enough that whatever blow was being dealt to him really wouldn’t have hurt him that much, or so he tells himself. All he can think about is that moment where the bullet/bomb/fireball, whatever it is, was coming toward you. Yes, you survived it, but he had to live through the nanoseconds of absolute hell when he thought he was just about to see another person he cares about die right before his eyes. 

His temper erupts afterward. He’s furious, yelling at you that you “didn’t fuckin’ need to do that!” You’d be forgiven for thinking that it’s his pride you’ve hurt, but it’s anger born of worry. Those few moments he thought you were going to die were harrowing for him. 

Imagine if he carelessly lost the person he loves the most, just because he was too slow or too stupid to see it coming? Shit, he could never live with himself if that happened. 

However, there’s the other side of the coin. Which is that you cared about him enough to intercept a blow aimed at him. Chuuya can’t remember the last time someone did that for him. He’s used to being the tank, to soaking up all the violence so the geniuses can get on with their schemes. He doesn’t really know how to handle someone trying to protect him, like he’s something vulnerable.

He likes it and he doesn’t. He’s grateful and he’s pissed. Chuuya’s a complicated creature. 

Once he’s done yelling and has calmed down a little, he’ll mutter something that sounds like a ‘thank you’, though he says it with his eyes mulishly averted and one arm wrapped tightly around your waist. He won’t be letting you out of his sight for a while, even while he’s being a grouch.

Dazai Osamu

While he might not show it on the surface, this has a rather profound effect on Dazai. Remember the last time someone he loved died in front of him?

While he pretends to be calm on the surface, inside he’s in turmoil. He should have seen it coming; you’re the self-sacrificing sort, always trying to save him in one or another. But before now, it hasn’t been literal. 

I feel like time moves very slowly for someone as fast as Dazai. He was able to process far too much information in those few seconds you were in danger. All of his mistakes, laid out for him as plain as day. 

He tends to convince himself that he can plan around every kind of incident but this is a start reminded that this isn’t always the case.

“Hey, bella?” His tone is unusually serious. His hand on your shoulder. “I’m going to need you not to do that again. Believe it or not, I don’t want to see you die in front of me.”

If you pay close attention, you’ll notice Dazai doesn’t make any more double suicide jokes after that. They don’t have the same appeal. Dazai doesn’t think he could stand to watch you die, even if you did want to join him. 

He keeps a close watch on you after that, turning up unexpectedly throughout your day without any explanation, his lanky form popping up like a weed.

Fyodor Dostoevsky

While he will never, ever reveal it, this will shake Fyodor’s iron-clad ego a little bit. He likes to think he is in control of everything, and he can predict every single action of yours down to the blink. For whatever reason, he didn’t foresee you getting in his way and taking a hit meant for him. 

You gain an element of unpredictability, which is both intriguing and alarming for him. 

There is also the fact that you stepped in to take a hit for him. While he’s used to having underlings who look up to him like a god (Ivan), he doesn’t count you amongst the peons. He’s got you wrapped around his little finger, but in a way that promotes adoration and obedience, not self-sacrificing recklessness. He’ll have to step back and examine your relationship somewhat.

“My darling, what was the meaning of that?” he asks of you, his tone soft and a little dangerous. “I do not need you flinging yourself in the path of danger for me. I have everything in hand.”

He likes your devotion, but he doesn’t want you getting in the way of his plans. And he does care about you, love you in his own way—he doesn’t want to lose something he sees as his. 

If you were injured at all, he will have the best private doctors on hand to treat you. Be prepared for his love and attention to be a little stifling for a while. He won’t want to let you out of his sight. 

As for the person whose attack you foiled? Fyodor will turn the full weight of his enormous intellect to destroying them. They were dead the moment their attack came near something he cares about.

Fukuzawa Yukichi

Fukuzawa is very much the self-sacrificing sort. He’s said more than once that he doesn’t mind giving up his life in order to ensure peace in Yokohama, or to protect the lives of the younger members of the agency. He’s heavily bound by duty.

While he holds these values to himself, he doesn’t expect you to abide by the same code. In fact, he doesn’t want you to. You’re not a grizzled old samurai like him. (His words, not yours.)

He also heavily dislikes the idea that you were in danger because of him. Your relationship with him shouldn’t be a source of danger for you. As soon as he’s sure you’re safe and well, he will sit back and mull things over in his silent, intense way. He considers all options, from simply killing the person who tried to attack him, to ending your relationship with him to ensure your safety.

Thankfully, he comes to the conclusion that you are an adult who knows what is good for you. He’s never hidden the truth from you, and if you’re willing to face that to stand at his side, then Fukuzawa needs to respect that. He can’t make your decisions for you. 

“However,” he says. “I must ask that you do not do that again. I can accept my own death, but not yours.”

“Don’t you trust me to watch your back?”

“Obviously, you can be trusted,” he says. “Today is evidence enough, but know that I could not live with myself if you were injured or killed looking out for me. If death is coming for me, I have earned it.”

He can’t really be talked out of this mindset, but that’s part of why you fell for him in the first place. Just make him a promise that you won’t put yourself at risk on his behalf. 

Kunikida Doppo

Poor Kunikida.

One of his ideals is that he will never watch anyone die right in front of him if he can help it. The last time he had to watch an innocent person die, it almost shattered his psyche. 

If you were to die in front of him, it would break him utterly. Even though you’re fine, the close shave rattles him down to his core. Instead of blowing his top and then settling down, the way you’re used to him doing, Kunikida becomes grim and quiet. 

He refuses to step away from your bedside while you’re in the hospital for a check-up after the incident. His notebook of ideals is folded in his pocket, ignored. The fact he isn’t scribbling anything down is a little alarming. He’s not Kunikida if he’s not adding little notes to it every five minutes. He has his hands steepled together, his face grim behind his glasses.

“Are you going to yell at me?” you ask him. 

Kunikida lifts his gaze to you, almost as if he’s surprised to hear you speak. He breaks out of his reverie a little bit, sitting up and pushing his glasses further up his nose. The light hits the lenses, hiding his expression from you a little. His voice is sombre.

“I must thank you for saving my life,” he tells you, almost formal. 

“That’s not the only thing bothering you, is it?” You know him well enough by now. You reach out and take one of his hands.

Kunikida fingers tighten around yours, trembling slightly. It’s the only way that you can see how completely off centre he is. 

“Kunikida?”

“Don’t…don’t make me worry like that again. Please.”

See I could complain that Fyodor did all this to get Atsushi in his hands. Killing his friends and then trying to decapitate him. And has now just decided to fuck off and leave him behind.

And how weird of a move that is.

But it’s not like he hasn’t been doing that the entire series.

Fyodor’s known Atsushi’s location at minimum since Atsushi was 12 years old. That’s when he sent Shibusawa too him.

Fyodor then proceeded to do (as far as we know) fuck all for the next six years. The fact he even put a bounty on Atsushi’s head too like he didn’t know where he was for six years.

Could’ve captured him, fake adopted him and all that years before canon. Years before anyone even knew who Atsushi was.

And at a time when Atsushi was young, scared and willing to do anything to break free of his prison. Could’ve even dangled the hey if you disobey me I’ll send you back in there.

Fyodor literally hears Atsushi’s approaching him and Dazai in the alleyway during the Cannibalism arc and walks off.

I can see it being that Fyodor didn’t interfere sooner because he had to construct the narrative he wanted so that the book could follow it.

But still.

For a very important piece of his plan Fyodor has never really involved Atsushi in his plans. The Yokohama incineration stuff was Fitzgerald’s idea.

The closest we get from Fyodor is Nikolai telling Atsushi he’s not one of the murder targets during their fight. Which also has Nikolai leave Atsushi underground, once again letting him free.

All Fyodor’s busy doing is playing mind games with Dazai who doesn’t even want to play with him.

So yeah Fyodor saying he doesn’t care if Atsushi lives or dies despite how his whole plan hinges on him living. Because his ability would presumably die with him.

As bizarre as it is its perfectly in character for him.

He really is very cautious in taking care of his one and only bella, He will hug you and give you lots of kisses regardless of your sickness, we know how bad he is at cooking but what will he do in a situation where he has to cook right now?

He thought about ordering food but didn't think it would be healthy so he tried making soup on his own from the cooking videos he really gave him full attention just to look at you, he ditched his job

"My beautiful bella, if anything happens to you, I would never be able to live" He's a real drama creator “Osamu I'm fine you're exaggerating"

I can imagine him holding you in his arms and not letting you walk "My love I can walk" You were told to him, His eyes were squinting looking at you "Still I will take care of you in the best of circumstances"

While you were sleeping, the moonlight hit your face and he watched you sleep, his eyes searched everywhere, he couldn't believe that he had found that true love and that she was lying in his bed like an angel right now "My beautiful angel"

Chuuya Nakahara

He's truly a masterpiece and he's a master at these, I can tell you he's the only man with excellent taste. He cooks with show even when You sick, which makes you smile, She takes her temperature every 10 minutes, pays a lot of attention, water bag and many things, pills, injections, serums, they are all here just for you now

He does 2-3 jobs at the same time, when you don't have control at home, things are only balanced by his power. You offered to call a doctor to the house, but he refused, "I'm the one who wants to take care of you, no one else is needed"

Of course he doesn't care if you're sick to kiss you too, he just lays you on his lap and watches you sleep, You rested your head on his orange hair and you fell asleep with his beautiful harmonizing perfume "My princess, I will always take care of you"

Ranpo Edogawa

No matter how cute and frivolous your boyfriend is, everything stops when it comes to you "I'll give you candy if you get better dear" you laughed at what he said "Ranpo I'm not a kid"

"I'm sure you will love it my love"he left kisses on your head, stroked your hair with his hands and tried to tell you a fairy tale "Once upon a time a princess..." He chose a beautiful story to put you to sleep

He can be very distracted while he cooks because you are the reason for making the food here, if you leave the room he is in and try to do anything while he is cooking he will scold you "Where were you s / he while I was cooking" he really asked you with a stupid seriousness on his face

Fyodor Dostoyevski

He may indeed be the most normal lover among them, but just because he's normal doesn't mean he doesn't care about you, But of course he was interested in your illness and he wasn't that indifferent. "You still have a high fever, you need to take medicine dear"

He wasn't the best at cooking, he only cooked when it was absolutely necessary, but he wanted the best for you and brought home a chef who never took his money into consideration, yet you know how rich he is "The chef will make you 4-5 different main courses, if you don't like any of them just tell me my love"

He also considered calling a doctor home but didn't want to put you at any risk afterward because he had too many enemies, He left his job halfway just for you and took the best precautions for your recovery He tried every hour to heal you with special pills and serums "I don't know if you have any medical experience?"you asked him with a laugh. "Just for you, my dear”

Nikolai Gogol

"Darling please don't die yet we'll live a long life with you" He said stroking and kissing you "Ohh I'm fine please let me mind my business" "This is not possible, my love, I hired servants for you.." he spoke to you "Servants??" As soon as you asked, the door of the house opened and two women and two men entered. "People here will take care of your food, cleaning and your illness."

Your eyes really opened in surprise, you were expecting something, but you didn't think that he would exaggerate everything so much, He did make you feel like you were a princess in a castle, he was constantly teleporting around the house bringing you a water bag, ice cloth and a lot of things

He told you about his childhood while you were lying on a bed and you memorized everything he said word for word, he was saying it to sleep you, but when he turned his head to you he saw that you were not sleeping "My beautiful love is still listening to me?”

Well here I am as promised.

He is going back to Mersault.

And why?

Because of time.

He was buying time in a way.

Let's see why.

(Among other small observations and hypotheses)

When this happened, Fyodor was in Mersault and it was obviously night according to the difference between the time.

Just like I mentioned before.

So let's see.

Fyodor wants to arrive by the time the sun sets in.

When he arrived to take Bram's body, it was already night, so he was not able to do what he wanted.

But he will be able to if he went to Mersault again.

"It's a long trip!"

That's okay, he has a lot of time to waste until then.

The trip to France takes around 9-10 hours, that's not even a day. If it's night in Japan, it's almost morning in Mersault.

Fyodor has to arrive on the next day to see the sunset and the Earth's shadow.

So, Fukuzawa joining this helped Fyodor a lot.

He has a lot of time to waste after all.

So, this means that he was expecting to buy time with this singularity and maybe take Atsushi with him.

Dazai and Chuuya will have yet to face another challenge.

Now...

I have reasons to believe that Chuuya is weakened, because of the poison he might have been injected through a blood test.

Like it happened in Stormbringer.

Since he was a vampire and all, and as much as strong he is he couldn't enter Mersault without help.

Mersault was compromised, the way they let that game happen was strange.

Chuuya entered the prison, because someone let him in.

And that means that they knew Chuuya was going to come.

However, not everyone knew that as Chuuya, when he entered the prison, started beating people up.

So it's reasonable to think that the outside guards were aware of this intruder (Chuuya) and the inside guards were not; it works perfectly.

The latter were eliminated by Chuuya right away.

So, from the beginning, it was never about Chuuya being a vampire or not.

Fyodor was always going to win.

The poison weakened Chuuya, so if Dazai and Chuuya happened to be attacked by some people, it would leave them trapped.

There was no escape.

Fyodor had this planned out from the begining.

I dare to say that his main goal was Fukuzawa's One Order.

So then, he could force it to be used to control the Mersault prisoners, and considering Chuuya's state and Dazai's desperation-

I think they are trapped.

And this would buy Fyodor a lot of time.

On the other hand, Fukuzawa could use his power to weaken Fyodor's ability and, therefore, the singularity's.

Maybe strength Atsushi's power.

As for Akutagawa's death... he is dead because Fyodor says so.

It seems to lie on Fyodor's judgment whether the person will live or die.

He is above the third dimension, he is like a writer that can erase its characters.

So, for now, I'll assume that Akutagawa and everybody else is dead.

Fyodor wants to create a world conflict.

And considering how he brought Chuuya, he could very well use him as a source for this conflict.

Arahabaki, the vessel of Arahabaki is a mass destruction weapon.

This is more about Stormbringer and some things N said, so I won't talk about this this time.

So, for now, let's just assume that Fyodor's plan is to use Chuuya as the source of conflict.

why do you hate dazai?

I was waiting for this ask (thank you so much) and before it some things you must know before reading my reasons:

I kin both Mori AND Kunikida so the reasons will be more personal than logical

I hate the character, not the fans

I don't hate the fans until they start acting toxic and sending death threats just because I don't have the same taste of them

I understand Mori's character, not Dazai's character... They are similar, not the same so I don't have all the answers and explanations of Dazai's attitude, so if you say something like "You don't understand Dazai that's why you are saying those thing" is completely understandable, but that doesn't stop me to dislike him a lot

My intention is not for everybody to hate Dazai. You can still live and love him, I don't mind, I don't care if you do or not that will not make me think bad things of people or something

And now some of the reasons that maybe later I will add more!

1) His childish and irresponsibility behavior I personally find it extremely annoying

2) His bad behavior towards Ryonosuke Akutagawa after he (Dazai) left the Mafia [the call scene were he tricks Akutagawa, breaking his heart metaphorically speaking, because I can't say a lot about PM Dazai lol]

3) Beast Dazai (the same canon Dazai, but the one who chose to act) sacrificed the whole Port Mafia for Oda, leaving the Port Mafia alone, as garbage, probably in that world PM will disappear or be extremely chaotic just because of him

4) Treating Chuuya as garbage and "playing" with Chuuya's self-esteem by doing all those comments and insults

5) Insulting Chuuya's clothes, hair and motorcycle: Influence of his big brother Verlaine that made him know more of his past + the motorcycle was from a dear friend that died in front of him

6) Letting The Flags die on purpose knowing he could stop Verlaine in other ways + he only did it to hurt Chuuya

7) How he annoys Kunikida and fucking tortures him psychologically speaking

8) Dazai is canonically evil and would do horrible things, Mori tried to give him a lesson about doing those horrible things but ignoring completely his emotions... And Dazai betrayed Mori, stabbed him emotionally on the back and left

9) He was extremely bad to Verlaine

10) How he made Ango had an accident and sent him to the hospital

11) Teaming up with Fyodor and do evil things together almost destroying the world kinda?

12) How he annoys and "plays" with Sigma

13) I feel bad about Yumeno (Q) being locked up-

14) He didn't let Mori help him or save him

Description; You feel as though you'll never recover from your father's death, especially since he had recently promised that he would be home soon via the vampires. Seeing his rival and murderer in the streets afterwards doesn't help either, even if you've started to come to terms.

A/n; I genuinely don't believe he's dead, there is absolutely NO way. There is nothing that could convince me he's actually dead, not a corpse, not a tombstone, idc, he's alive and Nikolais ability saved him, source: trust me bro

When you had first received word about your father dying from Nikolai, you felt like you were going to die along with him. Your heart had been cracking up with anxiety when he seemingly took his sweet time to return home, and it shattered when you heard. Everything was going as planned up until the very end, when you waited day in and day out for your dad, and he never came back and never would. You were in denial for a while, but it slowly sank in when Nikolai had taken you to live with him. He wasn't around constantly, usually out figuring out what to do with himself, but he watched over you. You loved Nikolai, he was like an uncle to you, but he just wasn't Fyodor. You almost hated yourself for the way your voice became laced with venom and loathing any time he tried to do anything remotely fatherly for you, but you couldn't help it for the first two months. It was too painful to evoke memories of your dad, so you just angrily pushed any reminders away. That being said, you refused to get rid of any of his belongings. Somehow, Fyodor found the strength to step back and try to make some space between them but was so unstable to stand that Dazai had to take his head and pull him right back where he wanted him; to his chest that was left without a scratch. “Let it happen,” Dazai whispered, only to be pulled down when Fyodor’s knees gave out and when the pain started to become unbearable.

Once on the floor and with Fyodor’s head on his shoulder, another whisper came, “You are meant to die. You are meant to bleed out in the arms of the one who managed to break you. That’s your faith. You chose it yourself.”

How Fyodor managed to find strength to grip the handle of the knife and make a desperate yet too weak of an attempt to pull the knife out, Dazai couldn’t know, yet still wanted to make sure Fyodor wouldn’t manage anyhow, therefore put his own bleeding palm on top of Fyodor’s fist and pushed it deeper, getting the last exhale before Fyodor’s body slumped against his own without any signs of life, “I’ll find you in Hell regardless, love.”

THE PUBLIC PERCEPTION OF THE LORD OF CRIME PERSONA IS AKIN TO FYODOR, NOT WILLIAM HIMSELF.

[Seeing more people talk about this comparison between Fyodor and William again, had some of this in the drafts for a bit already lmao].

So I often see many people say that BSD Fyodor and MTP William have a similar vibe, and people have recently also been posting about their dislike of the idea too.

However I think Fyodor is more similar to that of the Lord of Crime persona the public see and not William himself. The Lord of Crime operates in a way where he is perceived to murder ruthlessly and have dubious morals - at first he is seen as a hero to the working class, but as he does more that disadvantages them he is seen as a threat to the whole empire (which he uses to unite the social classes). In essence, like Fyodor, the Lord of Crime is portrayed without a shred of kindness or sincerity or guilt - but that is not William.

William in the canon by his friends and family is known for his kindness and his empathy, so much so that he feels immense guilt over his horrific actions as the Lord of Crime which eventually pushed him to taking his own life to escape it. He is not devoid of empathy - in fact he is incredibly empathetic, almost too empathetic for himself to handle. And this is what solidifies the differences between Fyodor and William to me.

Fyodor has shown very little empathy for others in his history, more likely to simply use others to get what he wants and seemingly doesn't care about the effect it may have on that other person. Nikolai for example, even after being given understanding by Fyodor, was supposed to die after the events of Bloody Sunday, Fyodor using him as a disposable pawn in order to frame the agency. Sigma was given a home, a casino to run, but Fyodor was ready to get rid of him after it was investigated. Fukuchi, given a way to try and achieve his lifelong goal of world peace, was used as a pawn in creating the series of events where Fyodor could take over Bram (another pawn in his game considering he literally took his body from him after he just got it back) and now Fukuchi's consciousness is replaced by a Divine Being that Fyodor has control over. Fyodor is only empathetic when it can benefit him, and the benefits his faux empathy gives to those around him is eventually swept out from under them and manipulated to his advantage. He only improves other's lives just to take it away again.

Whilst William and Fyodor both do what they think benefits the world, William is shown to have genuine empathy for the common man - he often finds ways to help people like the children in Baskerville or other disadvantaged people. Whilst the Lord of Crime's support for equality may have been swept out from under the common people after the murder of Whiteley, William's support for the common people never changed. William always wanted to create permanent changes to benefit the lives of the people disadvantaged by the class system.

It is the public perception of the Lord of Crime, as this ruthless figure who wants to destroy the livelihoods of everyone in London, that is similar to the Fyodor we see.

Dazai

I kin Dazai mostly because I'm a compulsive, pathological liar. When faced with a conflict, my first instinct is to lie. Regardless of who I'm lying to(myself, my family, my friends, etc). This habit has made me very good at lying. So much so that I have a tendency to manipulate and be dishonest to my friends and family in order to avoid them posessing negative views towards me. I don't like lying and I try not to, but I simply do not understand why it's bad.

On a deeper level, I kin Dazai because I'm constantly seeking for a reason to live. Everyday I wake up without motivation to do anything, and I go to sleep with dread that I will wake up the next day. Life is just an ongoing loop of meaningless events. I feel as though I have a gaping hole in my chest, and I constantly try to fill that hole with my lies. I make jokes about wanting to die and act childish around my friends as a coping mechanism. I constantly tell myself, "My friends and family really do care about me," but it simply does not work. I feel only capable of feeling empathy(not sympathy), because I can't understand other people's pain until I go through it myself. This results in my lack of understanding of why most morals are the way they are.

Chuuya

I kin Chuuya mostly because I'm short. I constantly get made fun of for my height and weight. I am forced to turn to violence on a weekly basis, simply because no one takes me seriously. I fear the appearance of weakness, so I either compress my emotions or express them in a form of anger. I have not cried in a year due to this. I talk about the people I care about a lot, but in a way that doesn't express my regard for them. Sometimes I'll call them when I'm not in my right mind, just to call them slurs(dont worry I can say them). They find this entertaining. I would sacrifice my reputation and risk everything to avenge my friends, even if it may not be possible at the moment.

Ranpo

Ranpo lower on the list because I don't kin him that much. Though I am not that intelligent, my intelligence is like Ranpo's. Instead of creating plans to reach my goals like Dazai and Fyodor does, I'm more able to notice patterns in behavior. This allows me to deduce certain things about people, including their insecurities, occupation, and type of intelligence. I used to be able to figure out people's class schedules back in high school using small clues I picked up in their dialogue.

Unfortunately, I still don't understand people. I constantly struggle to fit in and I don't know why. It feels like everyone gets each other while I'm just the outlier. I ache to be like everyone else, but I have accepted that such a thing is unachievable.

Nikolai

I kin Nikolai because I feel trapped. I feel like my emotions are limiting me. Being an HSP, I am more empathetic than normal. Actions that remind me of my own past experiences deeply effect me, and I want to be free from them. I don't want to feel emotional attachment, but I can't help it. Like Dazai, I constantly mask my emotions and appear to be childish and immature. I am a sadist, but I can't tell whether I actually feel pleasure in seeing other people's pain, or if it is just another lie I have convinced myself of to make myself feel more free.

And the ship posts! Those were soooo fun to make. And oh, let me think about any other ships and my thoughts on them...

Fyolai (Fyodor / Nikolai) – Remember how I was like "there's just some things you don't write if you don't want people to ship two characters?" This is another case. This is the reason I disagree with people that go like "bsd is the only manga where no ships are necessary," like bro, there's so many things wrong with that sentence. It is absolutely necessary to make a bond such as these two's feel almost tangible to the viewers. It is essential to understand Nikolai's emotional dependance on Fyodor as a driving factor to his actions. Nikolai is orbiting around him, and you can see Fyodor having a genuine interest in this man, who doesn't play a big role in his grand plans. To me, these two feel kinda like Soukoku? Something something "the stars aligned so we could meet." 10/10 ship.

Ranpoe (Ranpo / Poe) – What God do I need to pray to in oder to get about 50 OVAs with these two?? Season 4 Ranpoe was the biggest treat and gift to me, personally. I love love love their dynamic so much. Like, yeah, Poe idolizes Ranpo, but he is now just as much in Ranpo's radar as well! Ranpo imprinted on him, he is Ranpo's emotional support rich boyfriend for fuck's sake. The way Ranpo uses his ability seamlessly?? Like it belongs to him?? Like he's so goddamn comfortable with it?? And what about the, "What would I do with myself if Ranpo-kun were to die..?” They're literally soulmates. They met and clicked so hard, they found each other, they suit each other, they complete each other. 10 million/10.

AtsuLucy (Atsushi / Lucy) – Firstly, I love Lucy, I think she's a great character, I love her design and personality and ability and everything. My baby. However, I have no particular attachment to this ship. It's not bad, and it's perfectly valid, but I don't see like- a need for it, you know? They understand each other, have stuff in common, and impacted each other's lives; I do love when two characters save each other left and right, so kudos for that. Honestly, they seem like they'd be absolutely amazing friends, really close, and honestly, I would love to see Atsushi have such a friendship, I think it would be good for him, but personally I don't see them in a romantic light. 9/10 ship due to the lack of feels I got from their interactions.

HiguGin (Higuchi / Gin) – I think that they're amazing and I would die for them. I need a spin-off of them. I need at least a whole WAN episode of them going on a date and shopping and eating ice cream and training and going to the beach– basically everything because they'd have the best relationship ever. I can just see them cuddling on a couch and watching TV as sskk fight over the last dumping in the kitchen. I need more about them like I need air. Also, petition for Beast Higuchi and Beast Gin to take over the Mafia. For reasons. 10/10 ship.

FukuMori (Fukuzawa / Mori) – Yeah, yeah, they're divorced Double Black and whatever, but let's be real for a second; no one can convince me that when Fukuchi first showed up, y'all's reaction was not, "Hold on a second Fukuzawa, what about your husband?!" The way Fukuchi behaved with Ranpo screamed new boyfriend trying to gain the son's approval, I was dying XD. "But Fukuchi knew Fukuzawa first!!" Yeah, yeah, I don't care– I'm not a zskk shipper until Fukuchi enters the screen. Let Fukuzawa and Mori be the yin and yang pillars of Yokohama. 9/10 ship because Mori is *sigh* a bad guy. Sad.

Okay, going into #bsd fyodor tag is still impossible for me :/

Look, I love Bram a lot, but how are people saying that Fyodor somehow killed Bram??

'Cause if you see it in order:

Bram orders his vampire to kill Fyodor -> Fyodor dies -> Crime and Punishment activates -> He becomes Bram

So, in this case, (cuz we do have a lot of other things to blame Fyodor for lmao) but in this particular case, what are we blaming Fyodor for lol? Dying? Getting killed by Bram? His ability activating involuntarily?

Dazai literally says this:

Meaning, Fyodor has no control over his ability. He becomes whatever or whoever kills him, so he has been morbidly molding his masterplans around his own DEATH all along! He was frantic because he feared he will be MURDERED by the wrong person!

No wonder, he wants a world without abilities! Because, no matter what, he just cannot DIE. No wonder, he says this. He almost sounds envious other humans can die so easily?

Also, did he manipulate Bram into killing him? No. Fyodor has not made contact with Bram at all. He let Bram do whatever he wanted. Bram was under direct control of Fukuchi, btw. And, it was Ranpo who asked Bram to kill him with one of his vampires.

In fact, Fukuchi says he locked up Fyodor faraway in prison so, he won't interfere in any of Fukuchi's plans.

Sorry I am salty, but I guess seeing him as a demon who feels no pain in killing others or even himself (rather than the fact that he has been killed who-knows-how-many-times over the centuries yet is unable to "die" and be set free from the world -- this has made him completely desensitized to the idea of pain felt over death) makes it easier for everyone to plot out the next plan for "its" the demon Dostoyevsky's death.

I don't understand why EVRYONE wants as much that he continue to live.. let's him die, he already lived something like 2000 ? ... so.. maybe he just wants to dead too..

I can compare him to Dazai, I remember, one day Asagiri said something like "Dazai has the knowledge to 2000 years" soo.. I guess.. Fyodor wanted to "duel" him for that ? just.. to meet someone who can understand him.

I don't think, I can't think that Fyodor was always the antagonist... finally like Dazai.

In my opinion, again, Dazai wants to die for that. He know so much... and it's.. unsupportable now. but, incompatibly, he is the unique key to save everyone from that shit...

And all that for to say that, if Dazai will dead, is for his own well.

if it's Fyodor it's for his own well too... he merits that.

Do you really think that, someone who don't want to die continue to have some body who kill him ? I don't think so.

Fyodor and Dazai, they are same, but unfortunately, for us, it's what it will kill them. but let's stop being selfish, and let's think to their opinion a bit. they deserve to dead.
