first of all the random biphobia mention out of nowhere???? i never even once brought up loki being bi in this i just said loki/sylvie is weird. i wouldnt mind him being with a female character thats literally not the point of the post

also. i know theres a gay character in eternals. i know theres plenty of gay characters in the comics. the last section is called hyperbole. its a joke on the fact that marvel is a mega corporation and u have to pry representation from their hands by force. they will sooner put mcu loki with a bunch of female characters before they let him kiss a man. does him getting with just female characters make him any less bi? no, ofc not! but when marvel does it theyre doing it because they mentioned loki being bi on screen for gay brownie points and now theyre gonna forget about it forever so it doesnt tank their profits in anti-lgbtq areas. mcu loki might as well not be gay at all at that stage

but like. loki's sexuality was never the focus of this post. in the last paragraph i was just making a joke because i think lokius would be fun to have in the show and i know marvel would never have one of their most marketable characters kiss a man on screen. that had nothing to do with sylvie. i dont like sylvie/loki because its weird. if she was a male loki variant he made out with id think the same exact thing.

and abt whats its based on...... ok???? i also find that weird. dont think that should have happened. adds nothing to the character and its just a rly uncomfortable plotline.

cuz the concept is so great and so are the actors and the plot and im rly enjoying it but then they throw sylkie in the middle of it and it ruins everything for me so much. i literally put off watching season 2 for days cuz i despise the sylvie/loki shit so much T-T it annoys me when i watch it because the good stuff is so great especially for someone who's been waiting for loki to have content all to himself for years and then its just. ruined. by such a shitty little thing

I believe that some might be really uncomfortable with it, even though the reason they state isnt very logical to me personally. But for most people I assume an agenda behind all this. I dont believe the selfcest is actually the issue. From what Ive read it seems that people are bummed out that Loki didnt end up in a gay relationship, in a relationship with Mobius or they simply would have liked a platonic relationship to be a big driving force for once, which I can understand. 

Im gonna boldly state my theory that, if the other Loki had been a man or if Mobius smh turned out to be a Loki aswell, the issue of selfcest would never have been blown up to this proportion.

I wish people would just be real with themselves and admit what their actual issue is. I know “I just wouldve liked to see Loki and Mobius” doesnt quite have the same force as calling something inc*stous and gross. But all the people describing their puking reflexes in the tags make me wanna leave tumblr. (and maybe thed say “go on then” xD) I would NEVER shit on your pairing like that. (i like lokius too but even if i didnt).

And at this point we have so many people repeating this selfcest argument without thinking for themselves, that newcomers seem to question their sanity if they like Loki and Sylvie together. 

I am open to actual arguments, but thus far noone has presented points that convince me that there is anything problematic about this pairing. The only reason it sounds problematic is because people have tagged it with a word (selfcest) that reminds one of something that is ACTUALLY problematic.

And the people who think that what is going on in the show is this problematic thing never had a better argument than wishy washy points about how they are the same person, whilst ignoring the diversity of Lokis there is.

Because being the same person wouldnt even be an issue, so long as you dont share the same DNA, which could produce ill children. So far, I dont think any of the Lokis have the same DNA. Their parents differ as much as they do from each other.

Im sorry I had to put this out here. I came to tumblr after I was having a good time with the show but a lot of people have made it more of a stressful experience and have taken the fun out of it for me a bit. So thanks for that.
