Every new bit of information I learn about Hank Green is more unhinged than the last. I make that joke a lot but it really is the most apt way to describe them. Really, even their whole essence is contradictory: They should've been vessels to discuss and deconstruct the nature of video games, the relationship between creative and consumer, of entertainment itself and the audience... but we got a bit too attached to the charming voiceover and the regular ass dude it followed.

Onto a different stance from the bingo:

While I’m a sucker for fluff and sweet shit, I prefer them as occasional garnishes rather than their main relationship. Like, yes, they can be the most domestic motherfuckers on this side of existence, it’s usually something that happens by incident, as a happenstance respite between them tormenting each other. And I think that’s just part of their essence? Like, actively, they will seek each others destruction, to tear each other down, to kill the others’ ego... But almost subconsciously they’ll also drift to the others’ presence. They’re inclined to just be with each other. 

For every ending where the Narrator eliminates Stanley in a blaze of fire and scrap, there’s another where he invites him to nestle in his arms and watch silly videos of birds for all eternity. 

Just. Man. Curator wasn’t lying when they said that these two need one another.

Hmmm... Perhaps this is considered a Hot Take TM, but you know how in Greek Mythos AUs, most people tend to make c!Sapnap either related to Ares or make him the Ares of the AU? I feel like Sapnap would be more likely to have something to with Hestia, if I’m being honest.

Yes, Sapnap is a bit of a warmongerer and he can be violent, but A) that’s not all that Ares is and B) that’s not all that Sapnap is.

Sapnap is very caring and protective and family and loved ones matters a lot to him. Hestia is the goddess of the hearth, home, and family. It would fit with Sapnap’s whole “born of fire” thing to make him related to or straight up make him a deity that has something very closely to do with fire.

IDK, maybe that’s just me, but I prefer Hestia!Sapnap over Ares!Sapnap. It just fits better in my opinion?
