Just some wild dmc scenario that struck-eth:

Vergil got behind the wheel of a car, with Nero occupying the passenger seat. Maybe they even steal the car—not so unlikely if the area is in utter chaos and demons are throwing a party everywhere. Vergil certainly didn't have many qualms about committing theft, while Nero reluctantly agreed to it. It was only when Vergil started the abandoned vehicle did a realisation strike Nero.

“Wait, you know how to drive, right?”

“Yes, I've driven a car before. I doubt they’ve changed too drastically over the years.” Vergil gripped the gear shifter and smacked it into reverse.

“Wait, wait, what's that supposed to mean? When's the last time you drove a car?”

Vergil hit the gas, backing up until they collided with a demon approaching the car from behind, the impact marked by a loud thud. The car shook as it went over its body. “Hmmmm, must be about twenty-six years, give or take.”

“And you didn't think I should be the one behind the wheel? That driver's license is waaay past its expiry.”

Vergil cracked a small smile as if he'd been told a great joke. “That assumes I had one to start with.” He harshly shifted the gears again and stomped on the gas, sending the car screeching forward. “I don't think I was old enough to obtain one even if such an option interested me.”

Vergil took a sharp turn, drifting into an alleyway and forcing the side of the car’s boot to smack into more demons. Meanwhile, Nero clung on for dear life to his seat and the dashboard to avoid bouncing his head off the side. With each passing moment, he began to grasp the gravity of his grave mistake.

Nero learned the hard way that there, in fact, did exist an even bigger menace on the road than Nico. Vergil drove like an absolute lunatic when given the chance: taking corners at the last possible second, playing bloody ping pong with every demon he could possibly hit, and drove at the highest speed the situation allowed him to get away with. To say there were many narrow misses during the wild ride would be an understatement.

+There is a cat in the house? Vergil would simply not care, as long as it is not bothering him he is fine

+He does appreciate the fact that unlike dogs it is not all over him all the time

+At the beginning he felt annoyed every time the cat gave him attention, attention from you alone was enough a cat was an extra he didn't sign up for

+However as time passed he slowly warmed up to it, he would read his book the cat nuzzled in his lap, and drink his tea while petting it

+And of course, you were more than happy to see that they liked each other (in the back of your mind you thought they would murder each other)

+But there was one thing that annoyed him the most

+"Danteeee where are you hiding?"

+"Why the hell would you name the cat Dante-"

+That boy may seem annoyed at the beginning with your decision to adopt a cat but in the end he loved it as much as you

+At the beginning he would not give it much attention just a small pet if it came close to him

+As time went on like vergil he would get accustomed to it

+I have Nero more like a dog guy rather than a cat guy so he is never gonna be fully melting over the cat, but that doesnt mean he won't love it

+After coming home from a long mission he would long for cuddles with both you and the cat but of course he wouldn't say it out loud

"Do you want the kitty to cuddle you Nerooooo?;)"

"Oh shut up-"

V

+In general V is used to being around animals due to his familiars, so a cat would not change things that much for him

+It would be very entertaining watching his familiars react to the cat and especially Griffon

+The phrase i will feed you to the cat was especially present every time Griffon would start getting annoying

+Shadow and the cat would definately be the best cuddle buddies

+Sitting on the couch all together reading books was a must now with the cat and the familiars being your personal heaters.

dante and vergil as the fox and the hound. one brother who provokes the other and spends the rest of his life running from the consequences, trying and failing to find reasons to continue living. the other brother who was hurt once irrevocably and cannot help but hunt the other in revenge, compelled by something that kills him in the end. both are trapped in a vicious cycle of hurt and be hurt until it becomes the only thing they can find joy in. is this anything.

So, do you think Vergil would be jealous of Dante if Dante and Kat got together after the events of the first game? How do you think he'd deal with it?

My short answer is Badly tm.

Like, really badly. I'm going to try and answer this as neutrally as possible asdfghjk

Downfall is kind of full of canon reasons why I would assume this.

The biggest reason is definitely how Hollow Kat actually uses this exact type of thing to goad Vergil into killing her. Vergil spends the first third of Downfall recreating how him and Kat met more or less except this time he gets to fight the demon and try to save her. And then he finally gets to Hollow Kat and he tries to explain himself to her. Up until she starts calling Dante a real man and all that. It's when she implies not only that Dante is better but that she likes Dante better that he kills Hollow Kat.

But Downfall in general gives us more to suggest he'd uh, Deal Very Badly with Kat and Dante dating. There's of course how Downfall very strongly asserts in it's first third that Vergil really cares for Kat. There's of course the 'what would you do if you had another chance' scene where Vergil can only think about Kat, what happened with Kat is the only regret he has about this whole situation. Not Dante, not the plan, not any of that, it's just what happened with Kat. So he clearly values her more then we're left to assume he did in the main game. Plus there's Hollow Vergil telling us that he loves these people in some way. All of this is to say he cares about her a lot.

But further then that we also know from Downfall that Vergil has a lot of insecurities when it comes to feeling like he's lesser then his brother. He seems to worry, a lot, that Dante is better then him and is just so naturally better then him. Which is another thing Hollow Kat is leveraging, this insecurity about Dante and feeling lesser to him and that of course Kat would run off to him.

There's implications of this in the main game to, I have a post on that, but to summaries that, Vergil does not seem to like when Kat and Dante start getting along. Why he doesn't like this is never exactly spelled out but I think it's fair to assume it's because he likes Kat and thinks she's going to run off with Dante (as is implied with the Hollows in Downfall).

All of this suggests to me that he wouldn't handle it uh...Well.

But if I can delve a bit more into my personal thoughts on the matter, I definitely don't think he'd handle it well. Like jealousy feels almost too soft of a word for it.

If we assume something was going on with Kat and Vergil as I personally believe from the text (really long unhinged post elaborating on that here in the form of a very long list), I don't think he'd handle the idea of Kat moving on well at all. Part of this is probably because I think Vergil might just assume some day she'll come back to him. But part of it is I definitely write Kat and Vergil as a bit codependent which is not particularly healthy for either of them but how I tend to write then none the less. So I don't think he'd handle the idea that she's dealing with this 'normally' and he's not, if that makes sense. Like that she's able to move on and he's not.

But there's also the fact that Dante is his brother which probably feels like a low blow with all of the insecurities Vergil has related to Dante and how those insecurities specifically relate to Vergil's relationship with Kat. Particularly how there are ways Dante can relate to her that Vergil can never. I feel like in a lot of ways, Dante and Kat dating would kind of stoke a lot of fears Vergil has/had about his relationship with Kat which would be upsetting for him.

I just think it'd trigger a lot of his insecurities. That and if we assume he also likes Kat, there's definitely going to be a lot of frustration and jealousy there that she's with Dante and not him.

TLDR: Ngl I think Vergil might just kill Dante if he ever started dating Kat asdfghjkl I don't think he'd handle this well and would not think very rationally

If I ever have the time, I want to write a fic about post DMC3 pre DMC1 Dante losing an arm while protecting Lady, and them arguing about it until he reveals that he's fine Lady, stop worrying so much, it's already growing back! And she's shocked bc what. What does he mean.

And Dante, who until now had been fighting one handed with his coat tied around his neck and covering the "stump" of his arm, lifts his arm/the coat showing that tada! It's back! Except he keeps it under the coat because (unlike with Nero in DMC5) it didn't all grow back at once and right now it's kind of just a mass of bone and muscle and Red stuff. He's not at expert on anatomy and he's not really sure what all's there right now since he can't see it, but he can feel it and 1) growing back an arm bit by bit really hurts, especially when the nerves seem to connect, and 2) he's certain it doesn't have skin right now and also he thinks he's missing a finger or two because sensations a bit funny, so he doesn't think either of them wants to see it right now. But he'll be fine! So she should stop worrying! It came back!

Do I have an ending to this fic? Not really. It's more an idea I had a couple times but. I think that interaction would be fun to write. And that Lady would end up telling him that ven if his arm *does* grow back she doesn't want him losing limbs for her. She can take care of herself. (And she doesn't want to see Dante in pain, because even if he laughs when he says it hurts, as if it's more a joke and not that bad, she sees the way his face scrunches up from time to time in what she assumes reaction to nerves regenerating and pain that is NOT insignificant given the reaction he had to losing the arm in the first place. If she had to guess, getting it back probably hurts more.)

Jokes apart, Vergil is really cautious to make you feel good and free from any period pain, from your head to your toes. 

Which, yeah, includes him making the most appropriate teas for you. 

He won’t deny you anything, so have this chance to ask him whatever you want and you’ll have it. Vergil may be a little reluctant to cuddle you at such a time because he thinks you’re way too sensitive for it — on one hand he’s not completely wrong, the poor dork. 

Much like his brother, he’s pretty unsure about the whole Devil-Triggered-arm-cuddling but if it is what you wish, then it must be done. Serving you some mint tea, Vergil hugs you from behind and slowly but surely places his scaled right arm below your belly. If you turned your head right now, you would be able to see Vergil's reddened cheeks and trembling lips. 

“Are you… feeling comfortable?” “Indeed. Thank you, Vergil.”

As the afternoon time died, you both relaxed, Vergil deciding to read a bit for you.

Ben 10 DMC Scenario

Making new allies

- Ben first unkown ally came from a disput that Ben put a stop too, when he visited an old diner to get some food

- Ben noticed some bounty hunters giving an older man and his dog ( a Chow Chow) a hard time

- Ben tried to intervene but got pushed aside by the bounty hunters and told to get lost. Ben only complies when the older man says it's ok and tells Ben to leave as he doesn't want Ben to get hurt.

- Ben does leave and the bounty hunters go back to giving the man a hard time, they are cut off however when a flash of blue appears and a second later all the bounty hunters find themselves tied to a tree with Ben as XLR8 telling them to back off and stop harassing the old man and his dog.

- It ends with Ben going to check up on the old man after transforming back into a human. The old man thanks Ben for checking up on him and the dog does to by giving a happy bark. When Ben walks away, the old man and even the dog give Ben a knowing look before walking away and turning back to there true forms. A demonic ronin and a large dog resembling a guardian dog statue.

I love this. It honestly would be something that happens to Ben as his heroism in the DMCverse will often than not involve devils in disguise in need of assistance. He was definitely surprised about the old man and his dog being such a case.

Although I think he'll smile, wishing the two a good day before going back to Devil May Cry for mischief on Dante. Noticing the guardian dog statue, you might be referring to a Komainu. Lion dogs who are often depicted protecting important places or people.
