Vampires Show Signs Of Hunger (mod + new overlay)

With this mod, vampires appear different when they get hungry. The change in look is delivered by a brand new overlay that's used over your vampire defaults (or the eaxis vampire skin).

The overlay this mod is shipped with adds visible veins on hungry vampires. Here's how it looks over my semi-transparent default:

There are also veins on the hands and behind the arm and knee joints. This overlay doesn't have eyes or teeth so they'll be whatever your vampire default has.

Technical info follows:

The mod's functionality is done with a custom controller, similar to the global controller that plantsim overlays are handled with.

When the hungry overlay gets added/removed, you may briefly see an interaction for it to appear in the sim's queue. If you happen to cancel it, no harm done – if your vampire's hunger doesn't change, it'll reappear after a while. You might not even notice the interaction as it disappears as soon as the overlay is updated.

The hunger threshold the overlay gets added on is BCON tunable. It's set as -30 as default. If you change it, pick a number between -100 and 100 (with 0 being the center of the hunger bar).

The overlay itself is stored in a separate package which is required for the mod to work. If you want to make new overlays to use this mod with, just replace the textures inside the overlay package.

Files are compressed. This mod shows a conflict with creaturefixes but they're fine to use together as long as my mod loads after it. Requires Nightlife, Seasons, and OFB.

This mod is likely compatible with most other vampire mods out there. If you have toddler and child vampires, children will get the hungry overlay but toddlers won't (is intended).

Finally: if you use the supernatural transformer by @midgethetree together with this mod, I recommend replacing it with this edited version. It has the option to add/remove the hungry vampire overlay and makes curing vampires with it work properly even when the hungry overlay is on.

Update (5.11.2023): Fixed a mistake with the TM face texture from the overlay package.

Simpu's Good Night Peaches and Creme Brulee skins expanded and defaulted

Hi, hi! Kind of an unexpected cc post from me, I know. But anywayyy... every now and then I like to have a semi-realistic/alpha game if I'm in the mood. And a few years ago, I stumbled across these two skins. Good Night Peaches I thought was really cute... but I really didn't like how... whitewashed the S3 was. And there were only 4 colors. Creme Brulee, I also really liked but there were only 6 recolors, and nowadays I need a wide variety of tones. The more the merrier!

So I went ahead and whipped out Photoshop, recolored them in the rest of Trapping's tones, geneticized all of them and made new defaults! If you have Simpu's original files, you can just overwrite them with mine without breaking anything, now they'll have genetic values :D

Both sets of defaults come in the same color actions:

S1 - Light Rose, S2 - Sunkissed, S3 - Olive Skin, S4 - Sunset.

No supernatural tones, sorry to say! This was my first time doing anything with skins, but I hope you like it all the same.

Here's the new defaults for Creme Brulee, as well as a quick and dirty Body Shop swatch down below, first row is the new recolors, bottom row is Simpu's original recolors.

something i noticed while looking at aai1 talksprites is that calisto doesnt have a sweating anim (she applies makeup instead), but shih-na Does sweat, which you could interpret as her paler skintone being her natural one so... combined with the white hair and red eyes (which could also just be contacts) ........ she could possibly have oculocutaneous albinism (which wasnt the devs intention at all, no comment in the concept art book mentions it) her design is just meant to look vaguely evil and also maybe a vampire because shih-na has fangs and a forked tongue(????) but im choosing to ignore that irl it would not make her eyes anywhere near that shade of red, or even red at all. so i changed baby calistos to bluish purple

All broken eyes presets was updated, please delete old ones and replase with new!

The first one (obscurus_eyes_presets_1f) was slightly changed, but keeping the same shape.

Also as you know EA added eyelashes to toddlers, so unfortunately I had to remove their tag in obscurus_EYES_presets_6infants file. Please message me if something is wrong!

ive made a skin overlay made up of skin details i use the most, i was sick of applying them each time so i turned it into a skin overlay!

the base and lips are by northernsiberiawinds, with skin textures like faint freckles/pores by archivefaction and oito, eyelids by obscurus.

it's best paired with msblue's skintone set v3 overlay by vibrantpixels (found here)

found in the mouth crease skin detail slot, 3 swatches, first is the original i made, 2nd has more contrast and the 3rd is a slightly darker overlay

hi! i have a bit of free time until tuesday so i decided to finish up some stuff i wanted done <3

first is sims3melancholic's contacts #120 defaults converted to ts2 on my sclera

second is a default skintone called stardust made using dreadpirate's skin as a base, but it's essentially a 4t2 conversion of the north face mask by northernsiberiawinds, with eyelids, nose and mouth differences as they didn't look as good in ts2. actually the alien shown in the swatch is the old version of this skin but i just realised that while writing lmao, but either way it looks v similar just a bit better

the eyes are default and custom, on my own sclera blend and there are 18 swatches in total.

the skin is default only and is all s1-s4 with alien. some features include:

sixfootsims teeth and tongue texture

an edited, smoother lilith buttercup nosemask

my blend of uglytownie's lipblend and the lips on microscotch's wisteria skin

eyelids taken from whysim 30

bodies are the same as dreadpirate's party for one skintone

elders get dentures (thanks to remisims for extracting the texture from game files) forgot to put sliders in bodyshop so this noclip screenshot will do

elders get wrinkles (thank you simnopke for the texture)

aliens have greeny blue gums and base eye texture from uglytownie

lip corners by uglytownie

nose shading by rensim

the rest (face texture and all that pretty shading) is all northernsiberiawinds!!

the purpose of this skin was it's flexibility to work with both maxis match and realistic games. for example, it's plain and matte which means you can layer all the skin details you would like over it.

a glowy neutral gshade meant for ingame shots. pretty bloom-heavy so i wouldn’t recommend it to be kept on while playing the game or in cas. i’ve been using it for most of my story posts and ingame edits throughout this year with minor tweaks

*built off sumahama by wilderbees but not much remains of the og reshade aside from the dof settings (comparison under the cut)

might be compatible with reshade as well but i haven’t checked

looks best on darker skintones and works in pretty much every world

admittedly very pale sims in bright lights/direct midday sunlight will not look the best with the gshade, but you can tweak the preset as you wish to match how you want it to look

@literalite made this cool post a while ago where we had to play telephone with a sim and idk i thought i was a cool idea so i hope you don't mind me using it <3

the game is to download the latest sim on the chain, completely make them over in your personal style, then put your version up for download + pictures to see how ur simstyle varies from everyone else :3 aside from retaining the og sims' ethnicity skintone and weight, go crazy u can change everything and i mean everything else

Nenps Fish Scales as Mermaid Overlays

I've done my own take of mermaid overlays before, but! Then @angelapleasant shared the textures for some of @weepingsimmer's recolors of Nenps fish scales, and these are so so beautiful.

Angelapleasant mentioned that the textures had some seams on TS2 body though, so I went and fixed them. They're still far from being pixel perfect, but I find them acceptable now.

I made all frames share the same textures and paired purple scales with blonde hair, turquoise with brown, red with red, and blue with black. I also made a new grey-ish scale recolor for grey hair.

The file comes in two versions: with or without a sharp teeth mask that I've gotten from these overlays by @withlovefromsimtown.

The files are compressed. As mermaid overlays always, these are meant to replace the mermaid scale overlay by @midgethetree and be used together with their mermaid mod.

⚠️ If you already downloaded angelapleasant's version or don't like my choice of color combinations, their version of the overlays is now updated with my edits of the textures but with the color combinations they originally used. Their upload also includes matching face scales as layerable blushes.

a bunch of the vanilla skins have minor shading/details around the mouth and nose areas, which is great! ...unless you're a stylized anime person

so. i went through... every skin texture and removed these as an override, because if i had to apply the standalone skinfixer facepaint i'd go crazy

it's likely i missed a few tones since many of them are super close to each other and/or have very subtle details, but what can ya do!!

this is intended to be used with my modular anime head! THIS IS AN OVERRIDE - IT WILL EFFECT NON-ANIME SIMS TOO! to ensure it loads before any other potential overrides (i.e. from a certain popular adult-rated mod), please place the .package in the ROOT of your mods folder. yes it's compatible with the aforementioned adult mod don't worry

also, this is only for the native skintones - cc skintones may still look funky
