Hello everyone, 

We’ve been crunching numbers recently, and we’ve come to the conclusion that our video project in no longer viable in the timeframe we set up.

The reason for this is not because we cannot make the videos, but because we do not have an adequate Internet upload speed. Long story short, the Internet we have here has an upload speed of 1.5 megabytes per second, due to the fact that the household allocates most of its uploading power into a large amount of security cameras.

With that speed, it would take us something like 3 months to upload all our videos non-stop. Further, we cannot stream anything here because we have insufficient speed. 

The most viable option for us to purchase a new Internet connect and not have to depend on the one we’re using now.

Thus we are starting a campaign for new Internet Connection.

We are encouraging you all to join our Patron program, which you can join through Patreon and also through monthly installments on Paypal. 

We will be in the next few hours providing links to everything you are missing out on by not being a part of our Patron program. These are things not accessible to the general public. 

Our goal is to reach $120 in pledges. 

This will cover Internet charges and also smaller equipment things that will allow us to create quality videos both in traditional recordings and on streams.

Parsing: [Verb Phrase [Verb(gerund)]] [mo- secondary particle] [hajimaranai(negative)- verb]

Meaning: “It’s no use VERB PHRASE-ing”

Example: “Tabako wo yamete mo hajimaranai desu.” “It’s no use quitting smoking.”

622. ても差し支えない (temo sashitsukaenai):

Parsing: [Verb Phrase [Verb(gerund)]] [mo- secondary particle] [sashitsukaenai(negative)- verb] Note: If you want to use a noun phrase, add the gerund of “da,” “de,” to the end to make it a verb phrase.

Meaning: “It’s okay if VERB PHRASE” or “there are no objections to VERB PHRASE”

Example: “Koko de tabako wo sutte mo sashitsukaenai.” “It’s okay if you smoke here.”

623. てしかるべきだ (te shikaru beki da):

Parsing: [Verb Phrase [Verb(gerund)]] [shikaru beki- auxiliary verb] [da- copula/verb] Note: “shikaru,” to my knowledge, is not commonly seen by itself without “beki.” It seems to be a secondary particle. “beki” we’ve spoken of before, which is an archaic auxiliary verb that is still in use.

Meaning: “one should VERB PHRASE”

Example: “Kono kurusi ni tsuite isha to shabete shikaru beki da.”  “You should talk with your doctor about this medicine.”

624. ってば (tteba):

Parsing: [Verb Phrase [Verb(imperative)]] [tteba- ending particle]

Meaning: “VERB PHRASE!” or “I told you to VERB PHRASE” Note: This expression is a kind of imperative used when you’re fed up with someone, or it can just express something emotionally. In the later case, the verb phrase’s verb won’t be conjugated as some imperative.

Example: “Ninjin wo tabenasai tteba.” “I told you to eat your carrot.”

625. てやまない (te yamanai):

Parsing: [Verb Phrase [Verb(gerund)]] [yamanai(negative)- verb]

Meaning: “to always VERB PHRASE” or “to never stop VERB PHRASE-ing”
