"I thought you were a stray baboon that wandered in."
Thoth, (Greek), Egyptian Djhuty, in Egyptian religion, a god of the moon, of reckoning, of learning, and of writing. He was held to be the inventor of writing, the creator of languages, the scribe, interpreter, and adviser of the gods. Within his duty as interpreter, he is the tutor of the next generation of those destined to sit atop the throne of Kemet. No matter where Ricardo goes he is visited by this Deity. His library spans the ages and all of the books created are there for Ricardo to learn from and master. The Heir of the damned will occupy the title of Crowned prince until he takes the throne. Seeing as his parents are immortal the prince will be with this god for centuries training to be worthy. The god of learning and knowledge is tasked with ensuring the worthiness of a leader. For some, it was only a few hundred years of learning however if Rico never becomes worthy the pair will be together learning until the end of time.

Thoth, (Greek), Egyptian Djhuty, in Egyptian religion, a god of the moon, of reckoning, of learning, and of writing. He was held to be the inventor of writing, the creator of languages, the scribe, interpreter, and adviser of the gods, and the representative of the sun god, Re. His responsibility for writing was shared with the goddess Seshat. The cult of Thoth was centred in the town of Khmunu (Hermopolis; modern Al-Ashmūnayn) in Upper Egypt.
In the myth of Osiris, Thoth protected Isis during her pregnancy and healed the eye of her son, Horus, which had been wounded by Osiris’s adversary Seth. He weighed the hearts of the deceased at their judgment and reported the result to the presiding god, Osiris, and his fellow judges. Thoth’s sacred animals were the ibis and the baboon; millions of mummified bodies of those animals have been found in cemeteries near Hermopolis and Memphis. Thoth was usually represented in human form with an ibis’s head. The Greeks identified Thoth with their god Hermes and termed him “Thoth, the thrice great” (Hermes Trismegistos). Important philosophical works were attributed to Hermes Trismegistos.

#003 Temper
He couldn’t help but grimace as a twig snapped under food, the sound of it echoing in his ears and woods alike. Overhead he heard a shrill chitter, the angry call of some tree dwelling rodent and he shot a glare into the canopy overhead. Mismatched eyes narrowed before he sucked his teeth. So much noise for such a minor offense. His attention returned to the gaping mouth of the cave some several yalms away, and the man waited, stone still as his ears strained to hear something beyond the noisy creature overhead.
“Thank the gods.” Djhuti muttered under his breath as the offended party ended its warning cry. In the silence that followed he listened for some sign or signal that something waited hidden just out of sight, alert to his presence. When a breath had passed with no signs of trouble he stood, abandoning caution as he marched once more towards the cavern entrance. Enough time had been wasted in the months since his unplanned vacation. He couldn’t afford to waste anymore.
The man grumbled as he stepped inside the dark maw, “just my luck to make it this far, empty handed with Nzedha…” mismatched eyes blinked to see beyond as he stumbled over loose rocks with a grunt, “...breathing down my neck.” Their long history might make him bold enough to taunt and tease, testing her patience. But the disappearance of Senki’s blade was more than enough to push her past restraint and lay the full blame of it on him.
He felt a foot slip across the slick surface of mossy stone and his arms waved wildly at his side as he tried to catch his balance. Despite his efforts to be quiet another grunt passed his lips as his tail whipped behind him. Sure he had a part to play in it, in some way. If he was fully honest with himself. No sooner than the thought had passed his thoughts turned, intent to convince himself otherwise. “Hardly my fault. Clearly it wasn’t hidden that well. And how could I know they’d connect the two of us.”
Somewhere, deeper within, he heard the shift of stone and paused in his pursuit.
No. Enough time had been wasted. Nzedha might be slow to truly anger, but her’s was a fury he’d rather not face. In truth it may have been better to die on that island…
Just one job. One job to earn enough coin and begin the search again. Before the blasted woman knows I’m back.

I was recently asked via DM, "Can you help me communicate with Tehuti?" I thought that there may be some folks interested in the subject, so I'm sharing my advice on my feed.
Your question is pretty open ended. I’m not sure if you’re looking to communicate with Thoth for a specific purpose, just looking for someone to facilitate that communication for you, or are looking to develop a relationship with the deity. I’m going to assume the later. (BTW, in my experience he cares not if you call him Tehuity, Djhuty, Dhwty, or Thoth, they are all of him).
One of the cornerstones of Ancient Egyptian practice was the veneration of idols. In their belief, during rituals and festivals, the idol literally becomes the manifestation of the deity. One of the first things you should do is acquire such an idol. The size of it doesn’t matter, nor must the representation be one of the classical images of Thoth, but it should be something you spend significant resources to acquire, or even make it yourself. What that means to you may look different than others. If a $10 plastic figurine is a significant financial investment for you, that’s fine. You may wish to upgrade in the future but always keep the original idol you began with. It may be displayed openly, or in its own case or even its own room. Whatever best suits your means. It should be approached with reverence and respect, at least until you develop a firm relationship. You will find, despite how he is often portrayed, that Djhuty has a fine sense of humor, though it is often a dry wit. Feel free to speak with him openly and plainly. Though I have found that from time to time he appreciates the Ancient prayers. You may say them in English or your own native language. I have included some prayers that have been unearthed by archeologists and translated.

Another cornerstone of Egyptian practice is offerings. This can take the form of incense, foodstuffs, drinks, or even plain, clean water. Remember, in Ancient Egypt, any offerings of consumable items should not be wasted. Such is an offense to Ma’at, so if you do leave food items, make sure that they do not linger so long as to go bad, and are later eaten. The gods take the essence of such things and leave the rest behind for us. Leave offerings as often as you can, once again, as your means allow. Try to always do so on festival days. Festivals often coincide with times of astrological significance, which were tied to the flow of the Nile. The following is an excellent resource.

As Thoth is a god of magick, he wants you to do magick. Make magick a regular part of your life. Many see Thoth as bookish, and assume the magick he seeks is of the more complex, high magick sort of thing. This vexed me for a long time, as I simply didn’t feel anything from Kabbalah and what we now consider higher forms of magick (though Kabbalah and Alchemy didn’t even exist in Ancient Egypt). Until I received a message from him that all magick belongs to Thoth. So, if your magick is more along the lines of shamanism or witchcraft, that’s fine. Just do magick. If you do it long enough your own style will develop anyway.
Most importantly, Thoth is a god of writing. To gain his favor, you must write. If your skills are more along the lines of graphic arts, then calligraphy or learning to make the hieroglyphs may be the thing for you. As for me, I’ve never been much of a graphic artist, so I focus on the craft of writing itself. In our society, most everyone can write, but that doesn’t make you a writer. There is a craft to it. A skill in using the language in the written form. And it doesn’t matter if you write about magick, history, or write stories. All writing belongs to Thoth. Your greatest devotion just may be learning to be a better writer. If you want resources on that, I’d be willing to point you in the right direction.
After that, all you have to do is listen. He will speak with you. His knowledge may come from the wind, the rains, and the birds in the sky. He may talk to you directly. If you need a clear line of communication, any form of magical divination will do. But keep in mind, it all depends on how interested he is in you. It’s a two-way street. He doesn’t bother to explain things unless he feels you worthy of his time, which is why you make the offerings and the prayers, and make things that please him.

Which Egyptian Goddess are you ?
Seshat
Goddess of writing, astronomy, astrology, architecture and mathematics.
Seshat, in ancient Egyptian religion, the goddess of writing and measurement and the ruler of books. She was the consort of the god Djhuty (Thoth), and both were divine scribes (sesb). She was portrayed as a female wearing a headband with horns and a star with her name written on it. Representations of her typically show her dress to be a plain sheath covered by a long panther skin, with the tail reaching her feet. She was often depicted with the notched palm rib that represented the passing of time.
Seshat was believed to be an expert in the art of sighting the stars and planets. She was also recorded as having assisted the pharaoh in the ritual of “stretching the cord” associated with astronomical and astrological measurements for the location of temples. Seshat was the keeper of ground plans and charts in the ritual. Seshat was also portrayed recording the pharaoh’s jubilees, such as in the Sed Festival, cattle counts, and the pharaoh’s campaigns as early as the 2nd dynasty. Reliefs found in temples of the Old Kingdom (c. 2575–c. 2130 BCE) and Middle Kingdom (c. 1938–c. 1630 BCE) depict her as the recorder of quantities of foreign captives and booty in the aftermath of military campaigns.

These timeless archetypes have been rewritten for the modern viewer, but the basic story remains the same for at least 5,000 years. You have the young hero [Heru, Simba, T'challa]. The deceased father [Asar, Mufasa, T'chaka] who was betrayed by his own blood and who now resides in the ancestral spiritual world.
The widowed mother [Aset, Sarabi, Ramonda]. The jealous uncle or brother [Seth, Scar, Killmonger] who fights for the throne.
The elder sage [Djhuti, Rafiki, Zuri] who confers a timeless wisdom to the young hero.
The guide or protector of the young hero [Inpu, Zazu, W'Kabi] who watches over him like a guard dog.
The female heroine [HetHru, Nala, Nakia] who assists the hero in which a nurse has all her potential and fulfills her destiny. For the ancients, these divine principles or "Ntru" were not physical beings, but represented certain characteristics and attributes. They were the physical incarnation of the natural and heavenly forces that man must experience. The trick was to understand these principles of your short life and to master them to be one with them in the afterlife.
That's why it is important to always look deeper. For those who don't know their true history, this comes from disney or Marvel. For those who know who they are, this is us. This comes from the ancestors. This comes from Africa. Stay woke.

Al Minya - Tuna El-Gebel
Tuna El-Gebel city is situated in Al Minya Governorate. It is AKA Tuna Necropolis. It is thought that this city was used for the first time during the king Akhenaten period, but the golden age of Tuna El-Gebel city was during the late period and the Greco-Roman period as it became a necropolis for the ancient town Hermopolis or Ashmonin.
What is the importance of Tuna El-Gebel city?
During the Roman period, Tuna El-Gebel city was the center for worshiping the god Thoth or Djhuty (the god of wisdom and knowledge) so it houses the catacombs of Ibis. The god Thoth was depicted in the shape of ibis or baboon animals.
Besides, it was considered as a necropolis for Ashmonin city as it contains many burial homes showing the mixture between the ancient Egyptian and Roman art.
What is worth visiting in Tuna El-Gebel city?
1 - Boundary Stelae of Akhenaten:
The boundary stelae are considered the oldest monument in Tuna El-Gebel. These stelas date back to the Akhenaten period during the 18th dynasty, New Kingdom. It presents King Akhenaten, Queen Nefertiti, and their daughters worshipping for the sun disk (the god Aten).
2 - Catacombs of Ibis:
The Catacombs was a necropolis for the god Thoth or Djhuty, the main god of Tuna El-Gebel, where thousands of sacred mummies of baboons and ibises were buried.
3 - Burial Homes:
The city contains approximately 60 burial homes dating back to the Greco-Roman period. These burial homes are very unique because they mix between ancient Egyptian and Roman art. The most important ones among these tombs are the tomb of Petosiris and Isadora.
Tomb of Petosiris
Petosiris was the high priest of the god Thoth during the Ptolemaic period. This tomb was designed to look like a temple. It has amazing preserved reliefs. It is worth visiting.
Tomb of Isadora
Isadora was a beautiful girl living during the Roman period. She aka the first martyr of love because she drowned in the Nile while crossing to meet her fiancé. Her father commanded to build this tomb for her, mummify her body, and lamented her with a Greek poem written in the tomb. The tomb contains Isadora’s mummy now.

This is what my mentor, the late, great #symbolist author and #Egyptologist, #JohnAnthonyWest would refer to as “a stone card catalog”... It is here the sacred teachings of #Djehuty were recorded. The great initiator Djhuty, (or #Tehuti depending which school of thought you subscribe too) was the scribe of all #scribes, the inventor of writing. This principle of #cosmic #Wisdom more commonly Known by the #Greek corruption, #Thoth. The sacred teachings of Thoth are at the root of alchemy and the #Hermetic mystery tradition and alchemy. This is early inspiration for what we find in the #EmeraldTablet. (Notice how I said Tablet, singular, and not tablets, plural). The Emerald tablet goes on to provide us with a succinct summary for what has come to be understood as the Hermetic tradition. Believe. Behave. Become. Thoughts have wings. The #LostTechnologies & Symbolism #Tour of #Ancient #Egypt featuring myself (#Anyextee) and engineer/author Chris Dunn is taking place September 2020 and I invite you to join us 👉 https://adeptexpeditions.com/esoteric-egypt-symbolist-tour/ (at Temple of Edfu) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7lcp2HJ7e0/?igshid=431yrvuqgho5

#008 Tepid
Smoke filled the air, making the already dimly lit tavern feel closed off. He held his hand up in front of him, mismatched eyes staring listlessly at the amber drink contained within it. An orange ear flicked in irritation at one patron, bellowing over the crosstalk and he sucked his teeth.
Once he would have sat at this very spot, appearing to all the world indifferent to the goings ons around him as he sipped his drink. A man whose sole purpose in life was to drink until whatever misfortune the day had brought with it was forgotten. Or find suitable company if the opportunity presented itself.
Seemingly.
Now? The noisey banter grated on his every nerve and he grit his teeth. Apathy was hard to summon, making it impossible for him to work. If there was anything to learn or hear it was lost, the quiet hum beneath a cacophony of the boastful braggarts. He winced at the harsh sound of a burst of laughter behind him, hunching as if to shield himself from the noise. His patience thinned by the moment, frustrated by the sound and his failure to glean anything of importance from the crowd. He tossed his head back, orange strands falling away from his face as he emptied what was left of his drink in a single gulp and slammed it onto the table, adding to the chaos around him.
The man seated beside him jumped and he scoffed before standing. “A waste.”
Djhuti made his way out of the bar, scowling at a patron that bumped into him, issuing a sharp, “watch it,” to the man before he was summarily shoved for it.
“Watch yerself and sod off.” Djhuti caught himself before he barreled into another patron, prickling at the insults. He froze, stone still, prepared to turn, to throw a punch before his shoulder sagged and he continued towards the door and out into the alley.
A rough hand reached up, rubbing the back of his neck before fingers splayed and ran up through his hair and he scoffed again. The bars hadn’t changed. It was still the same seedy dump of a den, full of loose lipped nobodies. It’s only worth, if you hoped to learn some rumor of value. Some part of him believed he’d simply return, pick up where he left off, Unchanged by the last year. He glanced up at the sky overhead, sighing at the sight of the clouds as his expression flattened. “Of course.”
His head lolled in a slow circle as he stretched his back, trying to shake the tension through his shoulders in the relative quiet of the streets. Djhuti meandered through the district and towards the gates that led outside the ward and on to the settlement.
