i don't know which ending of new vegas should be canon, but i do think the canon ending of the lonesome road dlc should be that ulysses lives. i just feel like he would hate all the protagonists and i love that for him

HOW TO MAKE YOUR SIM WORK IN A FULL-TIME* JOB AND AS AN EMPLOYEE IN A BUSINESS AT THE SAME TIME

IMPORTANT: I've tested this in my game and so far I haven't had any catastrophic glitches. However, I still recommend you make a backup of your neighborhood in case anything goes wrong. Huge thanks to @bstu for helping me out with this one!

*haven't tried this with part-time jobs but I assume it works the same way. Just remember to look for the teen-elder jobs in the career tab once you get to step 4.

Okay for some context, my Sim (Drake Walton, now Drake Jocque) works in the Politics career as a congressperson. However, since his hobby is music and dance, I wanted him to work at Cleo O'Mackey's nightclub as a DJ at the same time for some extra money, but no matter how hard I tried, the game wouldn't let me.

As I said, @bstu came up with an idea. To do this, you absolutely need to use SimPE. This method won't work with mods like Sim Blender, Sim Manipulator or similar hacks. Why, you may ask? Because we need to avoid the pop-up that shows up when switching jobs:

That being said, let's start with the tutorial:

First of all, hire the Sim you want to work in your business as you'd normally do. When the switching jobs pop-up shows up, click on "Yes". After this, save and exit your game.

Go to SimPE, open your neighborhood under "Tools -> Neighborhood -> Neighborhood browser...", then click on "Sim Browser" and look for the Sim you want to edit, in my case Drake Jocque.

Once you do this, click on "Career", above your Sim's description:

4. In here, go to the career tab, where it should say "Unknown". Change it back to your sim's previous job and career level. In my case, it was Politics, Lvl 7. Commit your changes, save and close SimPE.

5. Open your game and see if your changes got saved. If you go check your sim's job, you may encounter a glitch in which it'll display the name of the business your sim works at instead of their vacation days. Again, this is just a visual glitch and will not affect your gameplay whatsoever.

That would be pretty much it! Hope this small tutorial was of any help to anyone in here lol, I'll keep you updated in case I encounter any important glitches, but so far my game has worked as intented.

Good morning! I hope you slept well and feel rested? Currently sitting at my desk, in my study, attired only in my blue towelling robe, enjoying my first cuppa of the day. Welcome to Throwback Thursday!

Many thanks to everyone that contributed to WEDNESDAY WORDS. Thanks to those that read and leave a ‘like’ or ‘love’. As you can see, some contributions really resonate with people. Yesterday’s winner was The Party Girl (again) with, “Just because I loved you at one point doesn't mean I will always love you. I’m not Whitney Houston!” Not credited to anyone, merely an internet meme classic.

On this page, ‘Throwback Thursday’ is all about memories. So, what do you remember? If I was to say the word HOME what immediately comes to mind?

‘The Wizard Of Oz’? It wouldn’t surprise me. For many of us, when we step through our front door, Judy Garland’s iconic words echo in our ear. For many of us, there is no place like home but, for some, the last place they felt ‘at home’ was in their mum and dad’s house! Me? I guess I’m just bloody lucky! Well, you knew that already! I’ve always lived in amazing homes. Not big, posh or plush homes, just lovely, homely homes. Just before The Trouble and I got our first flat, we actually lived in her parent’s house. Yes, that was ‘home’ for a while. I was not (strictly) a member of the family, I was just a guest, but her mum and dad made me feel ‘at home’. Bless them! In fact, it was a bloody weird house because The Trouble’s twin sister had her boyfriend living in her bedroom too! Nevertheless, dysfunctional as we were, we were our own mad version of The Waltons. I suppose my fondest memory of The Trouble’s mum was cornmeal porridge and thin slices of buttered white bread. Initially, it seemed like a weird combination but, when I tucked into it, it felt like the best comfort food ever! Mrs. Patterson has sadly passed now but I will always remember her for the comfort she gave me. The place I live in now? It’s a bloody mad house! The Trouble is not just a hoarder but a messy hoarder, and her son takes after her! And once The Mighty Josiah arrives for the weekend, he just adds to the mess! Me? I try to keep things neat, tidy and simple. Between you and me, this place is driving me nuts but, in its own chaotic, rundown way, it still feels like home, and I still can’t wait to come home to it.

So, on this Throwback Thursday, what kind of memories, thoughts or emotions does the word HOME conjure up for you?

i know some of you are looking for an update re: my mix. it went pretty well the day of (only fucked up a little) but i didn't have that much fun--you can't be the dj and the host at the same time, and you can't escape from being the host if you're a woman apparently!! --but i feel like i really accomplished my mission. i am still kind of thinking about whether and how much i like a mix as a live mix, and i think the next step to explore is broadcasting online. SO sometime this month i would like to experiment with bedroom broadcast. something multimedia, maybe with the vibes of our old streams, maybe including some of atulya's videos. stay alert and i'll let you know and either way i will post the tracklist and ideally a way for you to listen, i will also try to record each set.

atulya's videos went crazy, and it was absolutely insane how well they coordinated just based on giving each other conceptual hints--there was a literal alice in wonderland montage WHILE I WAS PLAYING PSYCHEDELIC WALTONS FT ROISIN MURPHY - WONDERLAND ! i also used a projector to add images (eg mariah carey glitter 9/11 dot jpg) and used a 1985 word emulator to put up supplementary text. the prize of the night was that angelo, who has never in his life stayed awake past midnight, was a) extremely engaged because he is 40 years old and i made his life flash before his eyes and b) STAYED TIL 2:15!!!!! (you cannot understand what a huge social win this was. i'm fucking bobby fischer.)

i also immediately want a new deep dive music project--another of these to do. i want hardware!

It’s 2016. I’m a contemporary artist and have been living off of Medicaid, food stamps, and $20k annually since graduating from art school five years ago. I see the return policies offered by Bezos and the Waltons as loan agreements; I lend them $1,500, and the interest they pay is my use of a new hard drive. While TurboTaxing I hallucinate a DJ software skin and use the expense estimate sliders as fraud modulators. I accept unpaid exhibition offers from salaried curators and gallerists in far-flung cities and tack on lecture stops at $150 a pop, spending as much time as possible as a guest in circulation so as to avoid paying rent anywhere.
