I'm happy I got to see the Weedy Seadragons (Phyllopteryx taeniolatus) in the wild at Flinders Pier:)

Last year April I dived at Portsea Pier, Mornington Peninsula I missed out seeing them. I got an opportunity to come back to Melbourne and glad I got the chance to dive again, though a few degrees colder. Thanks to my friends for linking me up with divers @melbourne_uni_underwater_club 🤿

Weedy Seadragons inhabit the coastal temperate waters of Australia at kelp-covered rocky reefs. Same family as seahorses but are larger, more mobile and tend to orient at a more horizontal angle.

Well, you're new, aren't you? Nice to meet you, I'm Dives.

And I wish I could, I used to do recon with flight but I'm literally and figuratively grounded right now because I'm off field missions. So, currently just interrogations, but I wouldn't mind flying around base with a friend!

Dives!

The God of Death and Wealth, Dives was known for his benevolent nature and powerful abilities. When he was young, he grew bored with existence and snuck into a mortal ball, where he met an ambitious young girl named Kaede. They grew immediately close, eventually falling in love and getting married.

Dives cherished Kaede, and they eventually had a son together. However, the Pottery God had fallen in love with Dives and grew jealous. They cursed Kaede and his son to eventually shatter and die. Devastated, Dives murdered the Pottery God and created the Four Horsemen—Clytemnestra, Katsuyasha, Newyn, and Zaraza—to help him track down every one of their followers.

As punishment for killing another god, Siobhan sealed off his magic partially. Dives continues to oversee the economy in the Frontier, and is one of the more popular Gods among the mortals. Many consider him an idol, while others vie for his affection. However, although he was once a very charming and easy going individual, he has since grown more and more depressed and reclusive over the years.
