Izuku couldn’t sleep. 

Too much had happened in the past year and while he thought he was prepared to be a hero and do whatever it took, clearly, he still had a lot of growing in the path ahead. While his body was getting stronger, adjusting to the quirk he had been entrusted with and finding its endurance, his mind was still lacking in resilience. Otherwise, why would he toss and turn, unable to stop his thoughts from running wild.

Tired of staring at his ceiling and walls, Izuku decided it was time for a change of atmosphere. He went get some water and heard a scream that had him dashing towards the common room. Had there been an attack? Did the villains infiltrate the dorms? 

His heart rate spiked, only to be calmed a second later by the sight of Jirou alone on the common room couch. She appeared fine, physically at least. 

“I-I am sorry.” Immediately, Izuku apologized, unclenching his fist and telling himself he could relax. 

She said I’m fine, which was a subtle prompt for him to not ask about what happened, right? Izuku knew was probably intruding - not everyone was okay with another seeing their tears - but he approached anyway.

“Do you want some water?” He extended the mug towards Jirou. Freshly poured, originally meant for himself, but he had not taken a sip yet. If she fell asleep here on the couch, maybe she would be cold and some hot water could do her good. “I have nightmares too, sometimes...” Izuku said carefully, glancing down to catch a hint of Jirou’s smear eyeliner and quickly looking away. “They are not real, but can still be scary.” He discreetly handed her a tissue. “My mom used to encourage me to talk about them, because once I do, they no longer sit on my chest and I can let them go. You can tell me about yours, Jirou.” 

A pause.

“O-only if you want to! I am sorry if I am overstepping!”

KamiShin - Oh how I adore these two together. I know that they haven’t really had much interaction in the actual anime, but I just really like the idea of these two. I think they could have some really great chemistry!

KamiJirou - I am an absolute sucker for these two. Like I like them better toward middle/recent seasons of the anime. They just could compliment each other well and I believe both of them would be very protective over one another as well.

KamiDeku - Depending on how they were written together, I think these two could be very cute together too. They already have pretty good chemistry as friends. It could easily be turned into something more. 

BakuKami - I’ve never written this ship before, but I like the idea of it? The dynamic between these two are very different and depending on how they’re written I believe that they could be a very interesting pairing!

KiriKami - I’ve also never written these two together as a ship. But like some of the others I could definitely see them having some chemistry and complimenting each other well!

Favorite season: Fall and winter for sure. Seasonal depression is a thing, but I love cold weather. Die, bugs.

Favorite book?: The Martian! It's sooooo good.

Favorite color: blue and green.

Scars/stories behind them?: one on my eyebrow from smashing my head as a baby. Two on my left forearm because I jumped stupidly in the middle of a dog fight to save my dog and got bit bad enough to need to be rushed to the hospital. I don't regret it. My dog is alive and well.

Pets?: 3 dogs, 5 cats, 3 mice. Got me a zoo here. I used to own a reptile rescue and had snakes and beardies up the wall, but I stopped that when I moved.

Hobbies: Writing. I stream games on twitch. Binging shows with Gordon Ramsay lmao.

Partner?: Yes. His name is Stuart and he lives in Scotland (im US). He comes for month long visits 2-3 times a year. He just left recently actually and I miss him terribly.

Kids?: Not yet. Stu has to get his citizenship here first. I do have a baby niece that I'm obsessed with though.

Ragged edges of his clothing stirred in the breeze as he perched upon the ridge of a roof, watching Jirou with unblinking eyes the way a predator would watch his prey. If there was an onlooker, they might have felt worried for the girl’s safety. After all, she seemed at risk of being accosted by a villain with a creepy smile. 

They would have never guessed it was just Midoriya Izuku, who had recently learned of the dangers that associated with blinking at the wrong time. His eyes must remain open - the only way to stay safe against his enemies...and nightmares.

He didn’t know why his classmate was out here, wandering about. She seemed to be in search for something and whatever it was, he was certain it was not worth her time. Jirou should find her way back inside - somewhere warm and secure - and soon. 

Izuku did not approach, but his eyes continued to follow her every step, trying to figure out her destination so he could ensure she got there safely. It was the least he could do.

TsuChako - Like okay I know this is one of her popular ships, but like they’d just be too cute together? Like ever since those episodes where they’re at the training camp and fighting Toga that did it for me. The way Ochako was scared, but Tsuyu told her not to be and gave her hand out for comfort and the way that they protected each other the best they could?! Like are you kidding?

MidoTsu - I think Izuku and Tsuyu would pretty cute too? They work well pretty well as a team together and they do have good chemistry. 

Katsuyu - I’ve personally never written them as a ship together, but I don’t know I think they’d be cute if the chemistry was there you know?

Minatsuyu - I could also get behind this ship too. Especially if the chemistry is there. 

TsuJirou - Tsuyu and Jirou would definitely be an interesting pair and I could see it working out if the chemistry between them was there!
