Important WoC News

For WoC fans and content creators on Ao3:

There is (as of 7:30 PM CST, 8/26/2023) a situation going down in Ao3 today of a nasty individual (we suspect that a troll is back again in the World of Cars fandom tags), who is posting disgusting content and death threats, and targeting individuals at random. They are currently resorting to gift fics targeted to users, and are also leaving comments on recent works of various users with similarly threatening material. They are going by the A03 registered name "Anti_A03", which should both be blocked and muted and not interacted with.

This content has been reported, and we are waiting for a response from mods in the site to have this person removed. This may take a further period of time to be processed so please be patient and sit tight while we wait for the staff to alleviate the issue.

If you are or have been hit before then, please: DO NOT respond to their threats by any means; REMOVE their comments and other materials; BLOCK & MUTE the individual and DO NOT INTERACT with their contents.

DO NOT make posts of this situation to the Archive. Ao3 is designed for fanworks and only fanworks. Creating posts around the currentstanding dramas is against the Archive's policies and may result in warnings or temporary suspensions.

Additionally, for current members of my server at VPV:

Please be extra cautious about new requests for server invitations, especially if you do not know the individual.

DO NOT SEND LINKS TO PUBLIC SPACES. If someone you know is asking to join please ensure you are delivering their invite through a private DM and not to a public platform comment section (such as Ao3), to avoid any trolls finding way into server spaces.

If you are also a member of a Discord server or other such World of Cars group that may currently be at a possible risk, please consider similar practices.

Not exaggerating, I learned how to jumpstart a car from Phineas and Ferb. Saw that "let's build a rocket ship" episode when I was like 8 and 11 years later my aunt calls and is like fuck, need help, never learned how to jumpstart my car, and I'm like lucky you, I kinda learned this in primary school.
