If Disney really wants to do something with Doctor Who they should make a Disney Channel style sitcom about Rose’s daughter Mia (from the books) and bring back Billie Piper and David Tennant to be her whacky sci fi sitcom parents
#I thought of this originally as a joke but the more I think about it the more I genuinely want it#it would create new kinds of conflicts for the Doctor and Rose that don’t get in the way of their domestic bliss#and highlight the humor in tryna settle down after living through a sci-fi drama#with super sappy moments about family and parenthood with whacky sitcom aliens thrown in#main homegirl would have a regular human bestie but her love interest would be an alien (not a time lord just a regular alien)#there would be a tardis set but it’s a sitcom set so you only ever see it from like 2 angles#there would be genuine conflict between different characters but the stakes would be like WAAAY smaller#Girl Meets Pete’s World LMAO#doctor who#timepetals#Pete’s world#the doctor#rose#metacrisis doctor#disney channel#sitcom#disney channel shows#I’m thinking like#girl meets world#meets#wizards of waverly place#but sci-fi instead of magic

Help me find a show
Hello!
The title of the post is self-explanatory lmao
I need your help finding an old Disney show (live-action). It used to be one of my favourites when I was a kid, but then I lost track of when it aired and I eventually forgot the title.
However, I still remember a fair amount of details and I was hoping at least one of you knew what show I mean.
Let me explain (it's been years):
There was a stone (blue, I think), I don't remember if it was magic or alien, that appeared in a forest next to a boarding school. If touched, it would give the person inmense inteligence.
The MC was a guy with a female bff and a male bff (who I think eventually dated, but I'm not sure) and the antagonist was a woman who had two goons. Pretty typical for the time being, right?
Both the MC and the antagonist touched the stone, so they became super smart, but the girl was so mean for no reason. I want to believe she was blonde. They would both eventually date as well lmao
It had a Halloween episode (obviously) where the antagonist tried to trick the MC and his friends into believing that there was a haunted house with a ghost bride. One of the goons was dressed as the groom and the ghost bride was a hologram (???).
The episode ended with the MC saying that the groom wouldn't wear sneakers to his wedding and that's how he knew he was being tricked. But then when they were leaving the real ghost bride appears?
Like she was floating and everything and the antagonist was like: erm... guys? I'm here
A product of its time, truly
It had the same vibes as Zoey 101, H2O, Lizzy McGuire... You know? But kind of sci-fi (the stone was probably a meteorite or alien or something like that)
If you know what show this is, please, please, I'm begging you. Tell me the title. I don't care if it's pure shit (it probably is), but it's one of the pieces of my childhood that I can't remember and I'd be so grateful if you could help me.
Thank you guys!! <333

Others: Nickelodeon missed their chances with Star Vs. the Forces of Evil, and Disney Channel saved it.
Me: So did Cartoon Network. The creator (Darron Nacfy) used to work there, too. In fact, Cartoon Network was her first choice as part of "The Cartoonstitute" for 2010. The pilot was produced c. 2009.

I knew while it was originally on that it was good, but "Good Luck Charlie" still holds up, people.
It's a Disney Channel show but it's not corny, and it's FUNNY
and that theme song is still a banger

I loved Brandy and Mr. Whiskers as a kid, but looking back at it now, I don't think I like Whiskers much. He's too gross and I don't find that appealing or funny at all. No wonder Brandy got so fed up with him.
I kinda feel like Brandy should have gone home in the Christmas episode when she had the chance. She could always just visit Whiskers from time to time. At least then, she wouldn't be stranded and actually have options of where to go.

I will forever be obsessed with Disney Channel's crossovers. First we had That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana, so that adds technically six shows to the list if you include the direct spinoffs
That's So Raven
Cory in the House
Raven's Home
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody
The Suite Life on Deck
Hannah Montana
Then came Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana, so you can add in another (technically two if you consider the upcoming Wizards spinoff)
The Wizards of Waverly Place
Wizards Spinoff
Mr. Moseby appeared in an episode of Jessie so there's two more
Jessie
Bunk'd (also later crossed over with Raven's Home)
There were Jessie crossovers with Austin and Ally, Good Luck Charlie, and Liv and Maddie, of which had crossovers with other shows
Austin & Ally
Good Luck Charlie
Liv and Maddie
I'm in the Band crossed with The Suite Life on Deck for an episode
I'm in the Band
Plus the Monstober crossovers
Girl Meets World (I'm not even gonna get into the bmw crossovers)
I Didn't Do It
K.C. Undercover
Best Friends Whenever
And finally Saturdays (rip you were gone too soon) had a crossover with Raven's Home so
Saturdays
So that's 19 shows and I'm pretty sure all of them had their own version of Selena Gomez at one point or another but it's lowkey nuts to realize you've got actual wizards running a sandwich shop in the same neighborhood as Riley Matthews and they're both a half hour subway ride from the Ross family, meanwhile Cory Baxter lived in the same city as KC Cooper, and the Baxter-Carter(-O'Malley) kids probably tried to audition for Shake It Up at least once.

Rating 500+ Theme Tunes - #15. Jessie
She's Radio Rebel Jessie! It's our first Disney sitcom! Here, Debby Ryan plays a sheltered small-town woman who finds herself nannying eccentric rich kids in the Upper West Side of Manhattan. It's classic Disney sitcom material, chock full of wacky antics, bad green screen, and sassy laugh-track backed humour. I mean, that's most American sitcoms I find, but especially Disney ones!
This show is definitely an interesting one in some ways. It's a fairly diverse family with the various adopted children and their cultures, which I would say sets it apart from many other shows of the time. Plus, Ryan going from a side character in one show to the main character of this one, which was much rarer for Disney Channel than say Nickelodeon. However, she was certainly prominent on the channel already, having also led the movie 16 Wishes. I wonder if the character of Jessie likes sushi?
Now, I certainly watched some Jessie in my time, but I can't say it was by choice. My sister liked this show so it was on with some frequency, but I have never been able to stand it. I was never the biggest Disney sitcom person by both circumstance and taste, but this one was especially not for me. I always liked Debby Ryan in Suite Life on Deck but I think, as a lead, the way she was written and her comedic acting style always got on my nerves. I found the character of Jessie irritating, in a similar to Tori Vega in Victorious, though I definitely watched more of the latter so I can't articulate it as well here. The show's vibe and humour just was never for me. But what about the theme? Was that for me?
Jessie Theme Song
The answer is no! This theme song is bad! I really do not care for this one at all, and I just find it deeply annoying. The chorus of this song is what bugs me the most, as I cannot stand the whiney tone of the vocals and how the repeated "Hey Jessie" tunes are sang. They are simply trying too hard. It's also just so overly repetitive that this annoying sound is an issue that is perpetuated further. The verse is slightly better, but the autotuning is a bit much, and the end of it falls really flat. It's generally just a quite annoying sounding song.
I'm really sorry to all the Jessie-heads out there, but whilst there is the skeleton of a good song here, I just find it really grating to listen to. I'll stick with Josh Dun as my musical preference between the couple. This one is going comfortably in the D tier.
Stay tuned for more and be sure to send in any suggestions for other shows you'd like to see done (after the 500 already in the pipeline that is). Check out the intro to this series here, and check out the tier list.

Been thinking about things and I actually kinda hope that the Darkwing Duck reboot is cancelled.
You see, I am really enjoying the DW community as it is now. I am super anxious that the community will get nasty like other Disney show fandoms if a reboot does occur.
What do you guys think? Are you worried too or am I just being silly?
