Was Djoser ever Fat?

I have a weird headcanon that Djoser was fat in his childhood, their classmates were always bullying him about his weight. Also I think that he had a problem eating, he always ate for anxiety, especially with the junk food. He couldn't stop eating (candies, crisps , chocolate, fried chicken, hamburgers, fries, over sweet sodas, etc.) until one day he changed his alimentary habit.

Maybe in his adolescence, he started to discover healthy food and how to take a good diet. In addition he started to exercise and lose weight, Nevertheless, Djoser would know about body building soon. So, he changed his diet. And he found a method to turn into his fat to muscle.

Time to share some of my Dislyte Beach designs, this post featuring some of the Shadow Decree. We got Anesidora, Catherine, Djoser, and Hyde here.

Anesidora brought her picnic box to the beach. Catherine has a huge hat to help keep the evil sun off of her pale complexion. Djoser wants people to eat but they all want junk food and he's mad about it. And Hyde realized he has to take his dog on a walk.

Who's your favorite from this and who are you hoping to see? I've drawn about half of the espers so far and I'll be finishing the set over the next few months!

Mythology nerd reacts/talks about Dislyte part 1.- Djoser

So Djoser is the Esper of Atum. So let's start with introdusing Atum. And sorry for the bad English, it's not my first launvige, and I have troubles with writing even in my own launvige.

So Atum is the primordial God in Egyiptian mythology. In some version he created himself, in other versions he was formed from the primordial waters Nu. In early versions he created the first gods Shu, and Tefnot, buy simply siting them out of his mouth, and in other versions he created them buy his hands. The two of them were corious about the primordial waters that surrounded them, and one time they went to explor it, then they disapeard in the dark ess. Atum unable to acept the loss of his children sent a messenger the Eye of Ro to find them. Luckly they were found, and as Atum reunited with his son, and daughter, he let out tears of joy. And from those tears of joy humans were created. Later on Shu, and Tefnot got married, and started making the other gods. Yes there are other versions but for the sake of simplicity I left them out. But

But a queck history lesten first. Believe me it will be importent for later so bear with me. I try to tell ancient Egypt's history as fast as posible. Ancient Egyiptian history can be sepereted into three parts, with a few transitional ages when it comes to art history, so I will use this. So if the time line is has a few holes in it, it's because of this. The first one is the Old Kingdom that started in approxemetly in 2686 BC and ended in approxemetly in 2181 BC. And is often referd to as the "Age of the Pyramids". It started with rule of Egypt's first pharaoh Djoser, and it's last pharaoh eather being Netjerkare Siptah, or Neferirkare depending on the scholar. The second is the Middle Kingdom, which approxemetly started in 2055 BC, and approxemetly ended in 1650 BC. And it's first pharaoh was Mentuhotep II, and it's last pharaoh was eather Merneferre Ay, or the last pharaoh of the Thirteenth Dynasty. And the last one is the New Kingdom. It started in approxemetly 1550 BC, and ended in approxemetly 1069 BC. It's first pharaoh was Ahmose I, and it's last pharaoh was Ramesses XI. And it was later fallowed by the Late Period of ancient Egyip, which was later fallowed by the Macedonian rule, when Egypt was under the rule of the Macedonian Empire, and this was the time when the Philopator dynasty started with Ptolemy I Soter, and this era ended with the death of Cleopatra. And this is where we usually stop talking about ancient Egyiptian history, because here Egypt become Roman theritory.

So why did I meantiond this? Well for many reason, but for now let's back to Atum. In the Old Kingdom it was believed that Atum lifted the dead pharaoh's youl from the Pyramids to the affter life. And besides all this he was also a solar deity, and was associated by Ra, and was linked with the evening sun. In the Book of the Dead one of the primer,that was writen in around 1550 BC, and most well know sources when it comes to Egyiptian mythology, he was said to ascended from chaos-waters with the appearance of a snake, and the Snake renewing itself every morning. And he had two consorts Iusaaset (who was a genderbend version of Atum), and Nebethetepet (who was probably also a genderbend version of Atu) who are both pretty Obscure.

So this was a lot to take in, but it will all make sense. I promis. But now let's talk about Djoser.

So let's start with his name. He was named after the first pharaoh Djoser, who united lower, and upor Egypt. Which first makes sense, because like I said Atum was the first God in Egyiptian mythology, it's actually a quet nood to it, and second it shows that the devs cared about it, even if people will not really notice it. Which is a thing that I can aprove of.

Now let's talk about his back story. Djoser was an orphan, and was alon his entry life until the day he meet his wife. Then they had a daughter together. Djoser finaly had a family, he félt complite, and vowed to protect his family. But sadly he could't protect them for everything. His wife soon daid after giving birth to they daughter. After this he become an Esper. His daughter become the sunshine in his life. But she fall ill with a dreadfull sickness. Djoser tried everything that he could to save her, which included joining the Shadow Decree. In the end he had to say goodbye to her. After this he directed his whrath, and anger at the Esper Union, and he become one of the most wanted person in Grandis. But old habbits never die, he still makes too many food because he used to cook for his family.

So there are many similarities, and defrences between him, and Atum. They both were alone in the start, and they both are father who lost they child, and both of them are older then the others (Djoser is 40 by the way) . But the similarities end here. Djoser only had one child a daughter, and Atum had two children a son, and a daughter, and in Atum's case he got his children back, and his tears were from joy, whaile Djoser had to say a finel goodby to her, and his tears were from sarow.

In aapearenc the devs took some creativ liberties. Which in my eyes is not a problem. Atum was usually depicted as this:

And this character design absolutly works. He is suposed to be big, and sceary looking, and he looks the part. He is wearing multiple ankhs. And it's just a pretty good character design over all.

The Mad Dog of Hair Days

Chloe's Fashion Studio was closed.

Now, this threw Freddy incredibly off guard; Chloe's Fashion Studio was never closed, even if the world were to be engulfed in flames and famine the establishment would probably still be open. That was the sort of person Chloe was, such a hardworker that she often sacrificed her own leisure if it meant someone could get their hair done. So he was aware that made his current thought process a little unfair, but he felt a little betrayed when he saw the 'CLOSED' sign on the door.

The lycanthrope grumbled, Chloe was probably the only person in the entirety of Gyrate who could handle Freddy's fur hair, and he always relied on her whenever he needed his weekly deep condition. Today was especially bothersome, as he had just ran out of the special shampoo she had gifted him, and was planning to go purchase a new bottle only for the store to be closed.

In a bid of desperation, he considered popping up at her home, but – while he respected her and actually quite liked her – he highly doubted they were close enough for him to just pop up uninvited without the police being called. With an annoyed grunt a childish kick of his feet, Freddy turned and proceeded to return back to headquaters.

Tangled fur and matted hair was the worst combination, not only was it incredibly uncomfortable, but it was obvious and noticeable and made Freddy look awful. When he looked awful, he felt awful, and this could be seen in his sluggish walk and the snarl he constantly wore on his face throughout the day. Everyone in the Shadow Decree noticed his bad mood, but they had learned by now that it was always best to just leave Freddy be when he was throwing an internal tantrum, lest they fall victim to his claws (or incessent whining).

Even Leon, who was always their go-to when they needed someone to deal with Freddy, was sent to infultrate a Union base with Jeanne, so there was no one left to pat him on the back and tell him to calm down. Well, at least that's what everyone thought.

Freddy was seated in the library, somewhere he rarely frequented. The library was usually where Catherine or Sander spent their afternoons, and Freddy had never been much of a reader; but it was quiet and allowed him to wallow in self pity for a bit so he took it.

It was only after about ten minutes when he suddenly heard someone sit across from him. Looking up, he saw a man similar to himn but instead of a wolfish appearance, this man resembled more of a bull. It was Djoser, one of the most respected Shadow Guards within the Shadow Decree. He was a tad older than Freddy, and his appearance and personality very clearly showed this – if he were to be honest, Freddy had always been slightly intimidated by Djoser, not in a fearful way, but he always felt lesser in the man's presence. Djoser was an incredibly respected man, and the only reason he hadn't risen in the ranks is because he purposefully declined promotions, he was powerful yet humble and incredibly wise, Freddy somewhat looked up to him.

He looked over to see the novel he was reading, it didn't look to be fiction, in fact it was titled 'An Open Dialogue on Power and Influence,' and was written by an 'Abigail E. Saunbert.' Freddy's ears perked, wasn't she the mayor? He had no idea she wrote a book...

"Interesting, aye?" Djoser suddenly chuckled, "Sander recommended it to me, said I should keep it out of Jin Yuyao's sight, if she caught any of us reading anything by Abigail she'd probably maim us with her bare hands."

"I never took you for a reader–"

"You callin' me stupid?"

Freddy immediately jerked, "what? No! I'm just sayin' that y'know–"

His ramblings were cut off by a dead laughter, with the bull leaning back in his chair with a grin, "calm down kid, I'm just playin' with ya! I get what you mean though, I don't read much," he then took in a breath, scratching his chin, "I just needed a distraction, Sander recommended reading and I asked him for a book, he gave me this... it ain't terrible, but I can't say I'm too big on this Abigail lady..."

"I don't think anyone really is to be fair,"

Djoser then placed a bookmark – it was a brown leather strap with darker brown tassles at the end – on his page before then closing the book. Looking up at Freddy, the wolf found himself somewhat frozen under his gaze, though friendly as it was, "you've been acting real down and out today kid, what's wrong?"

Freddy's yellow eyes wondered down to the ground, he wondered if he should tell him why. Djoser's been through some painful stuff, surely he wouldn't take his hair problems seriously... eventually, Freddy shrugged, resting his head on the table, "Chloe closed up shop today and I ran out of shampoo, now I look stupid and uncool and everyone's makin' fun of me!"

Djoser watched as Freddy clawed at the table, his anger and embarrassment being apparent now. He was aware of Freddy's vanity, how obsessed with aesthetics he was and how seriously he took his appearance, in fact he even rivaled Cecilia in egoism. Unlike Cecilia however, who couldn't honestly care less about anyone who wasn't Chu Yao, Freddy took the opinions of others incredibly seriously despite the rough and tough persona he put out there. The idea that he was being made fun of for not having perfect hair was eating away at him like a parasite.

Djoser slid the book into his back, before then standing up, "follow me kid," he said with a grin, gesturing for Freddy to stand up. In all honesty, Freddy didn't want to, but he also getting bored of constantly moping around so he may as well do something else.

Djoser lead Freddy far into the base, before then making a turn and leading him into the male washroom. Freddy never used it, preferring to bathe in his own hideout than here, but he knew it wasn't exactly an unpopular spot. Unsure of why Djoser lead him hear, the lycanthrope was about to question him when the man went into a cabinet and brought out what looked to be shampoo, gel and a hair comb. There were a few other products too, but Freddy wasn't a stylist and could only recognized the ones he used on a daily basis.

"C'mon kid, lean over the shower head, I'll do your hair," Djoser said, removing his gloves.

Freddy stepped back, "nah man, you ain't gotta – I wouldn't wanna waste you're time–"

"Nonsense!" the older man laughed, "we got all the time in the world kid, I don't doing this, really,"

The wolf was stunned, you mean the respected and feared Djoser, the most wanted man in Grandis, wanted to do his hair? Like a shy school child, Freddy meekly sat down, before leaning back and allowing Djoser to turn on the showerhead and begin doing his hair.

Djoser was a very meticulous man in everything he did, this could be seen in his carefully put together daily meals, his very specifically curated workout routines, and his tight daily schedules he never broke from. So he knew it shouldn't have been one, but Freddy was quite taken aback to see that this meticulousness extended to styling. Djoser was efficient yet made sure to be gentle, even Chloe, as much as Freddy liked her, often tugged at his hair with the brushes and combs in a way that made his head sore. Not Djoser though, it was almost as if his head wasn't being touched at all. He applied all the product carefully and strategically, and was already half done after a few minutes.

"Dude..." Freddy said quietly, "didn't think you'd be a hairstylist..."

Djoser snorted, "my sister-in-law said the same thing when caught me doing Nellie's hair! She'd always be so mad, she'd say 'Djoser, what's the point of having a daughter if her auntie can't style her!' and all I could ever do was laugh,"

Freddy hummed, not wanting to cut the man off. He knew of Nellie, that was his daughter's name, the poor girl had died a few months after her father had joined the Shadow Decree. He remembered the day it happened, Djoser had went on a grief stricken rampage throughout Grandis, and Anesidora was forced to subdue him with a tranquilizer. Ever since then Djoser rarely mentioned his family, and if he did it was always dripped in sadness or rage.

Knowing this, it made Freddy happy to see him smiling and happy when addressing them.

"Well, thank you man, I was gettin' sick of everyone mumblin' and mockin' me..."

Djoser shook his head, drying Freddy's hair as he began to brush a comb through it, "nobody was making fun of ya kid, in fact we were all worried."

The wolf scoffed, "yeah right, since when has anyone in this damn organization cared about the people around 'em?"

"We may not be as chummy and cheesy as the Union," Djoser began, "but we're still a unit, and we gotta look out for each other... everyone was more worried if you were gonna be okay."

Freddy didn't respond, but his ears twitched at the mention of the other members wondering if he was alright. as Djoser began to gel the top of his head, he spoke again, "Denise was always the sort of woman that noticed the little things, the sort that everyone else ignored, perhaps that's why I fell so hard for her, because she was so perceptive to other people..."

Freddy looked up at him, staring intently as he spoke, "one of the things she always said I gotta try and change about myself was my proneness to second guess myself, something I didn't even notice I did. She always told me to do what I felt was right, so I wonder what she'd think of me now..."

Djoser then shook his head, applying the final touches to Freddy's hair, "what I'm trying to say is, I knew Denise would have wanted me to help ya out, and she wouldn't have wanted me to just assume you wanted to be left alone... society can't have me back, so the little good I can do here I gotta, and if that means helpin' out old Mad Dog on a bad hair day then I'll happily do it with a wide grin on my face!"

Freddy turned to look in the mirror, in awe at what he saw. Djoser had managed to him him look soft, punk, clean cut and casual all at the same time, he almost couldn't recognize himself, he looked great.

"Today's Denise's anniversary, next week it's gonna be Nellie's... I promised myself I'd do a good dead every year on these days to honor 'em, how ya likin' the hair kid?"

"It kicks ass!" Freddy then turned back to look at Djoser, his eye's glimmering in admiration akin to a child, "I dunno how I could repay ya... you want money? I got a lot on me!"

Djoser shook his head, "nothin', just keep ya head up those claws to yourself."

Upon hearing this, Freddy zoomed off in excitement, deciding to tell anyone who would listen about how cool Djoser was, all the bull could do was laugh. Freddy was a rambunctious one, it reminded him a lot of Nellie before she got ill, though even through sickness she never lost that spark.

The next week, Freddy had brought Djoser an oak frame, one that could fit his one and only family picture – the one taken at the hospital of him, Denise and Nellie, hours before his wife passed away. Though he didn't believe it was an adequate thank you for his kindness, Djoser was so elated that he didn't even try to stop himself from shedding a tear.

Now, Freddy sometimes trails behind Djoser like a lost puppy, with the older man telling him stories and giving him the occasional life lesson. No one knows how a simple hair care session lead to this, but it doesn't matter, it's a wholesome sight, and lord knows the Shadow Decree needs some wholesome from time to time.

These are just some of the ones I could fit into one post. There are a few more in the article, such as a scrapped Mimir design. I also found the many inspirations for the designs interesting.

There's a new mobile game Dislyte. There's 5 characters who are perfect for this blog but first I'll ask about Freddy since he's the one with the most simps so far.

For both the sake of efficiency and for the sake of atoning for my neglect of this blog, I'm going to rate all the Dislyte characters that don't suffer from "anime character with body accessories" syndrome.

To start, here's Freddy, as per the inbox request. You may have seen a lot of artists (over a year ago) talk about this design and draw it. That's probably fine enough. I mean it's a pretty standard wolf furrybait design. Can't fault it for following the effective formula. It's not wholly my thing, but I will respect it for being the furbait it is.

Drew, the one I actually associate with Dislyte furbait. I hate his name, but if not for Dislyte's aggressive advertising campaign, I may have actually got into the game just for Drew. In that sense he is furrybait like queerbaiting is a thing. What else can you truly say? Furries love a hot wolf man (I'll get to the Roman one eventually) and a hot Anubian jackal (The Khemian will probably show up eventually too).

This is Daylon. We like him here. He's furrybait. Not much else to say. It's fun to anthropomorphize Egyptian gods.

Djoser is a hot bull, for which I haven't seen much love from a famous bull-wolf on here. Anyway, yeah the hot wolf is furrbait.

Sander here is the whole Set animal thing. That means he's kind of some sort of canine but I haven't been able to uncover which one. Probably based off a standard jackal. Kinda looks like a stuck-up dick, and reading a little of his wikia, that's within reason. However, he's still furbait regardless of all that.

Brewster suffers from baby-face, despite being in his 20s. I reiterate, he is 25. I assume this baby face makes him popular among other furry circles I tend to distance myself from. At any rate, he is furbait the same as anyone else on this list thus far.

Tevor also suffers from baby face but that's just because he's a catboy twink. I mean it's a cute design, genuinely. Furries also love a catboy twink. This is furbait and that's not really up for question.

I have said it before and I will say it again. HOT. LION. MAN. Javid is slept on in this distinction. I don't know what to say that I haven't more-or-less said of any other hot lion men, but that's just his best distinction. Make more hot lion men the furry of the month.

Though this looks more like a costume than a character, Li Ao was just something I couldn't let slide. I mean his shape and his dragon design are just a wonderful facet of furrybait and furry culture.

There we go. All of the furbait characters of Dislyte. Nobody else on the list of espers is. Now I can rest from Dislyte.

I was crazy thinking about them all the morning

Let me tell you something....

Imagine, Lynn's swiftspace sharing her recipes and foods....I can get out of my mind thinking that Djoser comments on her posts sayin if the food has calories, contains fat, it helps of the body, it's fitness, whatever.

Also I can't stop thinking about them cooking together for their Shadow Decree for their friends, also they have mom and dad vibes n they want to be a good parents of their friends of SD ♥️

Random thought about how funny some Egyptian espers' nicknames can be. It only brought to my attention after I posted Intisar doodle and someone called her Inti (I didn't register at first as a nickname cuz "Inti" is fem "you" in Arabic) and made me think back of actual Nicknames for Intisar, and which Parmi or Tevor might use XD
