Hi! I'm autistic, and Discord's latest mobile update is total and utter dogshit. They made it objectively less usable for no discernible reason. I'm here to help you fix that, and revert to the last update.
Disclaimer: I'm on Android, so these instructions are for Android only. If you're on IOS, I know there is a way to do it, but I'm not going to post instructions I haven't tested.
1. **UNINSTALL DISCORD.** This will not work if any user on your phone (probably only one unless you're into more technical stuff than even I am) has a more recent version installed.
2. Disable automatic app updates. If you're doing this, I expect you to already know how this works.
3. Download the APKMirror Installer (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apkmirror.helper.prod&hl=en_US). It will require you to watch an ad when you install the APK, but you can uninstall it after you're done.
4. Download this APK, it's the latest pre-update Discord distribution: (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SSWdpi0Ms7wyHgDSSRqZgY4_G6r_wA0X/view?usp=drivesdk).
5. Use the APKMirror app to install the APK.
6. You're done! Launch it and log in. Feel free to uninstall APKMirror Installer and delete the APK file from your storage at this point, as you will not need them.
If you want to re-enable auto-updates for other things, follow these instructions in the app store:
- Enable aeroplane mode.
- Re-enable auto-updates of your choice (usually WiFi only).
- Navigate to the Discord app's settings in the app store.
- Disable Discord app's auto-update check box.
- Turn off aeroplane mode.
That's about it! Don't forget to leave them a negative review. If we can get a reversion of this update, that's the best outcome. Stay beautiful people.

Discord
New Post has been published on https://hazirbilgi.com/what-is-discord-what-does-it-do-how-to-use-discord/
Discord
What is Discord? What Does It Do? How to Use Discord
Discord was designed in 2015 as a community building and instant messaging, audio or video calling and digital distribution platform between users.
The Discord app is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or a web browser.
Discord currently has more than 140 million active users.
How to Use Discord
Discord is designed for members to communicate with each other based on text, audio or video.
Each community  is called a server . These servers  contain channels . While only text-based chat can be used in text channels, voice chat feature can be used in voice-based channels. In addition, previews of links, images, YouTube videos and more can be shared from the chat line.
Under each server, there are channels with certain rules. For example, a chat channel may be open to conversations about the game , while another chat channel may be used only for cat pictures. There is no limitation in this regard.
In Discord, which contains tens of thousands of servers, a  Discord channel can be found according to a user’s interest .
Is Discord Paid?
Discord is completely free to use, create servers or join other servers  . Also,  the Discord Nitro feature is available for $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year.
Recently, Discord also announced localized prices for Turkey.
Discord Nitro price for Turkey was determined as 26.99 Turkish Liras per month  . It can also be purchased for 269.99 Turkish Liras per year  .
What are Discord Nitro Features?
Discord Nitro features that can be purchased with monthly and annual packages are listed below.
Better sound quality for audio channels.
Community emoji gallery with up to 250 emojis.
Increased quality for live broadcasts.
Higher upload  capacity for everyone on the server.
Customizable server URL.
Customizable server banner.
How to Use Discord
First of all, the version published according to the operating system of the device  (Windows, iOS, Mac, etc.) should be downloaded from the download channels of Discord.
Download link:  https://discord.com/download
A Discord account must be created for free after the download and installation is complete  .
Account creation link:  https://discord.com/register
It is recommended that you choose a valid email address and a strong password when creating an account. You may want to enable two-step verification as an additional account security measure.
Official guide for 2-step verification:  https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/219576828-Setting-up-Two-Factor-Authentication
You can access the settings page by pressing the gear button on the lower left side of the home page and all kinds of settings can be made on this page. In the Settings tab, settings related to privacy, audio, video and other application can be made. In order to stay safe,  the “Keep me safe” option can be selected from  the “Privacy and Security” section . All incoming messages with this setting will be scanned by Discord and reach you. From the Settings tab, you can easily configure many more settings such as who can add you, who can message you.
Is Discord Safe?
With the right privacy setting and monitoring, Discord is completely safe. The easiest way to stay safe on Discord is to only accept friend requests from people you really know and log into community servers you know.
If you are a parent, it is recommended to monitor your child’s Discord activities. Parents and children should know how to act in cases of abuse or abuse, although server moderators usually respond quickly to such incidents on their respective servers.
With a simple privacy setting and careful friend selection, Discord is completely secure.

Unlocking the Potential of Discord: More Than Just a Chat Platform
In the vast landscape of digital communication tools, Discord Apk has emerged as a powerhouse, revolutionizing how people connect, collaborate, and create communities online.
Originally designed for gamers, this versatile platform has transcended its gaming origins to become a staple for diverse communities ranging from artists and educators to professionals and hobbyists.
The Evolution of Discord
Founded in 2015 by Jason Citron and Stan Vishnevskiy, Discord was initially intended to provide gamers with a reliable platform for voice and text communication during gameplay. Its intuitive interface and robust features quickly garnered a loyal following within the gaming community. However, its appeal soon extended far beyond gaming circles, attracting users who sought a dynamic and user-friendly space for social interaction.
Tumblr media
Beyond Gaming: A Platform for Everyone
What sets Discord apart from traditional messaging apps is its focus on creating communities. Users can join or create servers dedicated to specific topics of interest, ranging from art and music to science and technology. Each server functions like a customizable hub where members can chat via text, voice, or video, share media, and participate in real-time events such as live streaming and gaming sessions.
Collaboration and Connectivity
Discord's versatility makes it an invaluable tool for collaboration. Artists and creators use it to share their work, gather feedback, and collaborate on projects. Educators utilize Discord to conduct classes, host study groups, and provide a platform for student engagement outside the classroom. Businesses leverage its capabilities for team communication, remote work, and customer support, taking advantage of features like screen sharing and integrations with other productivity tools.
A Safe and Supportive Environment
Central to Discord's appeal is its commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment. Server owners have extensive control over moderation tools, allowing them to enforce community guidelines and ensure a positive experience for all members. Features such as roles, permissions, and customizable bots provide additional layers of security and management, fostering trust and camaraderie among users.
The Future of Discord
Looking ahead, Discord continues to innovate and evolve. Recent updates have introduced features like Stage Channels for live events and Threaded Conversations for more organized discussions. The platform's API and developer tools enable endless possibilities for customization, encouraging the creation of bots, integrations, and unique user experiences.
Conclusion
In a digital landscape dominated by fleeting trends, Discord stands out as a platform that not only connects people but empowers them to build thriving communities and meaningful relationships. Whether you're a gamer coordinating strategies, an artist showcasing your latest creation, or a professional collaborating with colleagues, Discord offers a space where creativity, collaboration, and connectivity converge.
As Discord continues to grow and adapt, its potential to reshape how we communicate and interact online remains boundless. Embracing its diverse user base and fostering innovation, Discord proves that it's more than just a chat platform—it's a catalyst for connection in the digital age.

You can undo Discord's update if you're an Android user.
This is a search on APKMirror for versions of Discord with universal architecture and nodpi (meaning they'll work on any screen size), so they should work on any Android phone. Just download the version you want (I have 126.17 stable, a version from before they changed the font), uninstall your current Discord, and install the apk. I have been led to believe that literally every version of Discord still works, so you could supposedly even go back to before they changed their logo, and it'll work just fine, you just won't be able to use the newer features. Though if you Just want to undo the current update, you probably want 206.16 or 205.15. Since you're installing from apk, it should no longer be connected to the app store you use and shouldn't auto-update, but maybe turn off auto-updates just to be sure.
Also, this doesn't just work for Discord, you can do this with any app, though some of them will demand you update them immediately before you can use them. I couldn't get an older screen dimmer app I liked from the Play store because it was unsupported, so I got it from APKPure instead. It works perfectly.

Christ the new discord update has made the app SO painful to look at. Pure white text on a darker background and no desaturation options anymore? Hell. I have a headache already. The new search function also sucks and I hate how the swiping works now. This is so awful why would they think this is a good idea :(

Albion punished by ruthless Arsenal
Albion suffered only their second Premier League defeat of the season at the Amex to a clinical Arsenal team who returned to the top of the table.
Roberto De Zerbi’s team competed well for long stages but they were punished ruthlessly when Tariq Lamptey’s foul in the box enabled Bukayo Saka to give Arsenal a 33rd-minute lead from the penalty spot. Then midway through the second half, just when Albion seemed to be getting on top, they gave the ball away carelessly and seconds later Kai Havertz had made it 2-0.
Tumblr media
To rub salt into Albion wounds, their former player Leandro Trossard raced clear to score a third Arsenal goal in the closing stages. It had been a champion display by the visitors.
Arsenal should have scored in the first minute when Gabriel headed Martin Odegaard’s free kick wide from close range, but it wasn’t long before Albion got into their stride.
Julio Enciso and Jakub Moder were off target with shots before Simon Adingra cut inside Oleksandr Zinchenko but couldn’t test David Raya with a right-foot effort that was always drifting wide.

With the apkmirror app, is it possible to ensure that if one does download the Discord pack, it'll keep using the old APK without abruptly reverting to the new version because Discord REALLY wants to shove it down our throats for some reason?
so from my experience using apk mirror in general, i just make sure in my app store/play store that auto updates of any kind are off and u should be good to go. works for me at least, my boyfriend has issues with his instagram reverting to a newer version without auto updates on, so its case to case i think

Turning off Discord's New Mobile Layout [OUTDATED]
EDIT (Oct 22/2023): This was originally posted on Sept 8/23 and since then there are some people saying that the option to turn off the layout is no longer there. Currently I no longer have the option to turn the new layout back on so I'm not entirely sure where Discord is going with this. I still encourage everyone to leave Discord feedback regarding their opinions about the layout. (end edit).
EDIT (Dec 6/2023): Discord has started rolling out this new mobile layout permanently along with some other changes (such as adding the 'Midnight' theme for OLED screens, though how it's different compared to the previous OLED theme is unclear). The changes are discussed in this blog post as well as this YouTube video. Discord has acknowledged on Twitter that the new layout will "take some getting used to" but that the original mobile layout is no longer available.
As turning off this feature is no longer possible I have disabled reblogs on this post.
If you do not want this new update, and have not received it yet, you may need to consider disabling auto-updates in your app/playstore. For those already affected, some people have suggested that downloading an APK of an older version to get around this but I don't know how that works or how to do that so please don't ask me.
If you have any thoughts on this layout change I recommend sending them through Discord's Feedback forum as there is nothing that I personally can do about it.
The original post is underneath the read more. (end edit)
Tumblr media
(Note: Discord themselves do have instructions on how to turn it off but it's buried at the bottom of their blog post about the change).
In case anyone else gets stuck with this garbage update, here's how you can turn it off:
In the bottom right corner there is now a section labelled "You".
Tumblr media
Tap the "You" button to open the tab. This should bring up your Discord profile. In the top right corner there should be a little gear button for your Settings.
Tumblr media
Tap on this to open the Settings up. You will need to navigate to your "Appearance" settings. Now there are actually two ways to do this now.
As normal you can scroll down to the Appearance section of the Settings:
Tumblr media
Or you can utilise one of the actually useful things included in this update: The search bar. Yes, with the new layout you can type in the setting you're looking for instead of scrolling through them all.
Tumblr media
Once you open up your Appearance settings you will need to scroll down until you find the section for the New Layout.
Tumblr media
Tap on it to disable it and viola! You should be back to the old (and, in my honest opinion, more usable) layout. After turning it off you will be prompted to leave some feedback regarding your experience with the new layout, do with that what you will.
