We had to get our actual proper medical insurance back recently, ofc it probably won't really be into effect until January, so we still have to wait to actually have it.

We wanna talk to our doctor about seeing if we have some other disorders/disabilities (such as OCD and POTS) before properly trying to contact a service dog training place. We have a place in mind already, hopefully we will be able to go through them.

When we end up contacting the place and they tell us the price and stuff for the training (and getting the prospect/puppy) then we will likely make a go fund me and will make a post about it. But until we know more, we can't really make a go fund me cause we don't know how much we will likely need.

Anyways, we just wanted to make this post to basically share a bit about what's happening in our life rn, so yeah.

Voici Vroom, il est né borgne.

Je l'ai adopté il y a quelques jours, et il est en train de me changer la vie. Je souffre de dépression, et je pense qu'il est en train de me sauver. Je suis obligée de me lever, de m'occuper de lui, de sortir. Je n'ai plus envie de passer mes journées au lit à vouloir dormir en permanence pour oublier ma vie.

Son éleveuse pensait que personne ne voudrait de lui à cause de son "handicap", on l'a insultée, on lui a dit que c'était de sa faute. Mais ça arrive. Les gens veulent des chiens parfaits m'a t-elle dit, mais... il est parfait. Il est gentil, attentif, curieux, joueur. Il adore les autres chiens, les gens, et les voitures. Il utilise la chatière comme un chat, d'ailleurs il aime les chats aussi.

My First Hood

I was in target today, and we went back to the fitting rooms, and there was an employee there. I don't remember what they were doing, I think organizing clothes to re hang them. They had a service dog laying nearby, just hanging out.

I go to one of the handicap fitting rooms, there were two, and the one I went into had a lot of clothes in it. I made a comment about it to my mom, who was with me, and the employee heard and started talking to mom about how that's upsetting to them, and how they're mad about people not doing their jobs, and accessibility stuff. I couldn't hear it all that well, because the room was a bit away from them, but that's the gist of it.

And I just thought - that's really damn cool. This person, who doesn't have a mobility aid, actually cares about accessibility! Yes they had a service dog and so it's something they would have to consider more than abled people, and obviously I don't know why they had the dog, nor is it my business, but I still thought it was so cool! It was really kind of touching - I can get around some of the obstacles that get in the way when it comes to accessibility, simply because of the kinds of problems I have and that I'm used to having to just push it away and suck it up, but there are plenty of people that don't have that option, and they need people like that Target employee to care, to give a shit about them and actually say something about it.

It was just such a touching, nice experience that I wanted to share. It's things like this that give you hope for the world, just a little.

I'm so angry I have two days off work and I had been having decent pain days, so I was excited to maybe get some stuff done and take pictures. Then right at the end of my shift last night I felt something shift in my ribcage, and now today it hurts a lot and I can't lift anything heavier than like 10 lbs without it hurting more. >:( stupid body ruining my plans constantly.

Got a new set of stairs for Addy! They're a lot bigger than our old set, and very nice. They're also 3 feet long, so going in the bedroom bc we have a small living room. 😅 Going to see if Addy will use the old ones for the couch, and have another step to get if she doesn't like using them. She has an injury with her front left elbow, and we're trying to limit her jumping up & down from the couch. Got a brace coming in a couple days to try on her as well.

He felt weak and dizzy. He tried to get out of bed, but nothing happened.

And then there was movement beside the bed, and something landed lightly on his legs. He felt nothing.

A pair of yellow eyes looked into his own, shining like the sun.

The window was open and it was cold in the room, but the warmth that came off the wolf enfolded him like a hot bath.

His pup, Bran realized…or was it? He was so big now.

He reached out to pet him, his hand trembling like a leaf.

When his brother Robb burst into the room, breathless from his dash up the tower steps, the direwolf was licking Bran’s face.

Bran looked up calmly. “His name is Summer,” he said.

Got new ring splints today! :D they look so much nicer than my ugly plastic ones. I'll still have to wear the plastic ones for work because with what I do metal ones risk being ruined. Look how pretty they are!
