Reblogging with some rags that might get your post seen, and might be worth looking at to see what's in there.
I'm in the UK, and could go on about their benefits process, but at least I can signal boost for you.
Otherwise, try some local council websites in Belgum and advocacy groups based in Belgium for your disability who might be able to advise, assist or signpost you
long shot but anyone got experience applying for disability in europe (specifically belgium)? we don't know if my illnesses even count as disabling enough but i'll have to register here eventually and would like to apply if it's a possibility but we have no idea where to even start on figuring this stuff out

Hi, I saw you post about the PvdA and I really appreciate how in depth you go, many of the issues you've brought up are things I agree with and are reasons why I don't want to vote for the PvdA, but I still haven't decided who to vote for, could I ask why not vooruit? I am aware of the more obvious reasons (basically everything that Conner Rousseau is the face of to simplify it, one of the reasons I don't want to vote for the party), but are there other reasons? And why you specifically are going to vote for groen? I have some more ecological oriented friends who I fully expected to be voting for groen and they don't really want to vote for groen, so I'm curious what convinced you to vote for them? Asking here more for the regional and federal elections.
I am basically just jumping between groen, vooruit and PvdA (definitely never saw PvdA as a possibility on the European level) atm, I think if Conner Rousseau hasn't become the head of the party, I probably would have voted for vooruit, but from the beginning he became the head of the party, I just felt less and less like voting for them and then the thing⢠happened with him.
Sorry for the later answer, I wanted to take my time with this a bit!
Why not Vooruit: because they have, in the words of the standaard, rebranded as "vooruit en rechtsaf". Their communication and an essential part of their program seems to me to court Vlaams Belang and NVA voters and smacks a bit of "eigen volk eerst" socialism. There's Conner's catastrophically racist rant of course, which the whole party is a bit quick to forgive after an apology, as if the fact that the party head clearly holds such views does not mean smth for the party line. More importantly imo, there's the concrete racism in the party program : one of Vooruit's main points of action in their program is to make immigration harder. Now, again, I'm a human rights lawyer, I've seen my fair share of migration and asylum cases in Belgium, and Belgium already does everything it can to avoid respecting international refugee law. Presenting things as if Belgium takes in too many refugees, as if refugees have it too easy to get here, as if they have it too easy accessing benefits here, is simply factually false and clearly meant to recruit voters who are, at worst, openly racist, and at best, subconsciously only believe in socialism, state support, equality and welfare for westerners (aka white people). Family reunification is already super hard, does not need to be harder. Making benefits dependent on an inburgeringstraject is counterproductive - how do you want to integrate if you're obnibulated by the poverty line. Encouraging asylum in neighbouring third world countries is ignoring Belgium's colonial history and responsibility in the socio-economic fragility of those regions. Basically, Vooruit's entire migration policy is, imo, built on false narratives about migration, at best casually racist, and courting VB voters. By contrast, Groen's position on immigration is orders of magnitude more inclusive, they want to make it easier in general, and their proposals about it correspond much better to what I've seen in my line of work. That's the main reason why I am not voting Vooruit and am voting Groen.
Vooruit is also less pro-Belgium, while Groen wants to federalise some competences and wants a federale kieskring. Vooruit is more circumspect on queer rights, while Groen is going to bat for some of the most concrete and controversial among them (surrogacy, trans rights, and education in schools). There's other things I agree more about with Groen but I'm not gonna go super into detail on every element - in general, their stances on education, welfare, pensions, care for sick, disabled and elderly people, ethical questions of bodily autonomy (abortion and euthanasia) are bolder and lean closer to mine, while Vooruit keeps wanting to put asterisks next to many of them which reads as paternalistic to me and imo undermines their efficacy.
(Worth noting that on the questions of Belgium, queer rights and other "ethical issues", OpenVLD is actually much much more progressive than the Vooruit. Not gonna vote for them bc their economic policies are fundamentally antisocial and I don't believe in "fiscally conservative socially progressive" bc economic equality is essential to social equality but, yknow, worth noting when comparing parties.)
I don't love everything Groen stands for - I know their hardline stance against nuclear energy is v controversial, for example, and I strongly dislike their history of making ritual animal sacrifice a hot button issue that contributed to islamophobia and antisemitism (it smacked of "I can excuse racism but draw the line at animal cruelty"), but it is still by far the party I agree with the most about the most things, which is how you pick a party to vote for, I think.
I assume you've done the stemtest, but if you don't feel up to reading the complete programs of the parties you're considering, I'd recommend checking out De Tijd's kieswijzer too. You can compare some hot button issues without registering, and if you make a free account for a month (no automatic payment after) you can compare more issues in detail. It's been v helpful to me.
TL;DR again : not voting Vooruit for (program content wise) their asylum and immigration policy and (communication wise) the racism, which I am very actively opposed to, voting Groen for their positive stance on migration and asylum, Belgium, queer rights, abortion and euthanasia, social welfare, education, and ecology.
#Belgium#Politics#To be clear I don't think you're a bad person if you vote Vooruit#But these are my reasons!

Bonus Round: Best Chancellor
Otto von Bismarck (1871-1890)
The Iron Chancellor
With a man as talented and powerful as Otto von Bismarck, it is hard to know where to start when outlining his accomplishments. His rule over Prussia and later Germany totaled a combined thirty years, during which he upended the global order and reshaped the map of Europe as we know it today. His title of "The Iron Chancellor" originates from the iron grip he had over both German and international politics, as well as one of his most famous speeches.
Bismarck's greatest accomplishment was no doubt the unification of this great state of Germany, which he accomplished through both shrewd diplomacy and skillful warmaking. His wars against Denmark, Austria, and France propelled Prussia to new heights and allowed for the declaration of the German empire in 1871. As Bismarck had said 9 years prior to that exalted date, "the great questions of the day will not be decided by speeches or majority decisions, but by iron and blood"
Nations that claim power on the world stage by way of military might or economic excellence still kneel before Germany when it comes to care for their citizenry. Under Bismarck, Germany passed groundbreaking laws providing aid for injured or sick workers who could not earn a living for their families. Later, those benefits were expanded to aging or disabled citizens, creating the first social welfare program in Europe. It is my hope that countries with prospering upper classes may take a page from Germany's playbook and allow the government to care for those workers which have ensured its economic success. (Real subtle - T)
Leo von Caprivi (1890-1894)
A moment's pity for the poor man who must stand in the footholds of giants. How can one hope to compare to the eminence of Otto von Bismarck? Caprivi gave his answer by ripping to shreds one of Bismarck's foreign policy achievements, our former Reinsurance Treaty with Russia. This was a treaty that protected Germany from her greatest fear: a two (or three or perhaps even four!) front war, the Gallic rooster to our West and the Russian bear to our east. Why, then, would he not reinsure this treaty? Perhaps Russian reproachment with France was already a foregone conclusion; maybe he placed more value on Austria-Hungary and Italy than Russia; one scholar I've become familiar with has proposed that maybe his brain was "riddled with the worms of idiocy." The histrionics of the critics has never moved me. War will not come between Germany and Russia. A piece of paper changes nothing.
Caprivi realized that Germany would maintain her pre-eminence in Europe through either war or trade. For the first time, we chose industry. Commercial treaties were forged with an assortment of European nations including Austria-Hungary, Italy, Belgium, and Spain. He even ended a trade war with Russia, giving Germans access to cheaper Russian agriculture products. (What? Were the Merkel jokes too easy? -L)
Chlodwig zu Hohenlohe-SchillingsfĂźrst (1894-1900)
Perhaps the greatest thing to say about Hohenlohe is that he was nobody's first pick for the job. Other names had been floated, but those picks proved too controversial. Hohenlohe, albeit aged, was a safe choice and caused the Kaiser no scandal. He served inconspicuously, which is to say without distinction. His cabinet was shuffled and reshuffled without his input and he found the winds of change blowing past him faster than he could react. A chancellor in name only, disempowered to enact any sorts of policies in the vein of predecessor. The most he achieved were reforms to the Prussian Military Law and the Law of Associations. In 1900, Hohenlohe took himself out of his misery and retired. Like his reactions to cooling relations with Russia and Britain, it came too little, too late. He died a year later.
Bernhard von BĂźlow (1900-1909)
The position of the Chancellor in the early 20th century increasingly seems like an ornate title for the caregiver of the Kaiser. After Wilhelm II inflamed tensions between Germany and France during the Morocco Crisis, it fell upon von BĂźlow to clean up the debacle. He represented the Kaiser at the Algeciras Conference, a meeting meant to defuse the tensions of the aforementioned crisis. Germany was humiliated, her terms discarded and the alliance between Britian and France was strengthened. When von BĂźlow defended his work at the conference, he became so overwhelmed that he collapsed.
Much like the first of his office, von BĂźlow's career came to an end in a conflict with Kaiser Wilhelm II. In a conversation published by the Daily Telegraph, the Kaiser attempted to court the affection of Britain and her king. Perhaps Herr Freud could say something in regards to His Majesty's love for his mother's country. (Note: Please never imply something like this ever again - T). Unfortunately, it had the opposite effect. The British public was appalled at the Kaiser's words, which read more as the ramblings of a madman than as the diplomatic forays of an emperor. Perhaps the outcry could have been prevented had von BĂźlow properly reviewed the text before it was published, however, he did not. The Kaiser viewed this as a betrayal and forced him to resign.

As a fellow eu (dutch) invisibly disabled person I have to ask about the disability card you mentioned, I've only ever heard of the sunflower card but that's it, what's yours?
It's an official card you get in Belgium and some other European countries that proves you have a disability. Doesn't seem like the Netherlands participate.
You can apply for the card if you are "recognised by or receive help from an official institution for persons with disabilities". So it's not a blanket card for everyone with a disability, bc if you like me, stop your benefits to try working again, you can't renew it. So I still have the same disabilities but the card will expire.
It's doesn't really do much besides proving you are disabled which can be useful in some instances, during covid lockdown you weren't allowed to shop in pairs but I could technically show it in shops and then I'd be allowed to take a person to assist me. But you can't use it to use disability parking etc.
Here's the website for more info

To Gaind, the data shows âthere hasnât been a slippery slope. Weâve had a cliff. Weâre falling off it ⌠Iâm concerned about what it says about our society.â He sees the sharply trending upward line as a betrayal of the public trust, especially for vulnerable patients who choose assisted death because they canât access the help they need to make their lives more livable. âIâm concerned about the marginalized lives that are going to be lost,â he says. âWe didnât give them the chance to live with dignity, but are all too eager to say âOh, hereâs the path to dying with dignity.â â "...Unlike Dutch and Belgium laws, which require provision of MAID as a last resort option, âCanada does not,â says Kim from the Institutes of Health. âCanadian law is unique. It gives doctors almost free rein on what to do if someone has a diagnosis and theyâre miserable with it,â he said. âThen you marry it to a very-well organized delivery system â your healthcare system. It gives the medical system and your sociopolitical system an out when you abandon people.â
It is deeply disturbing that waitlists for accessible social housing or any rent-geared-to-income housing has a wait time decades long. Meanwhile, medically assistance in dying can be obtained in as little as 90 days.
MAiD should be a last resort, not a convenient excuse for government to absolve themselves of making sound public policy so people with disabilities can live with dignity."
tl;dr: disabled people in Canada are choosing medical assistance in dying because they can't afford food or housing on disability benefits and many feel that they have no other options other than death.

While many universities have developed disability services and research projects for disabled students, only a handful have extended such services and initiatives to disabled faculty members. This study aimed to identify university studentsâ evaluation of the benefits of deaf faculty classes. The study adopted an explanatory and exploratory sequential mixed-methods design, and participants included students who attended classes taught by the deaf and hard-of-hearing (D/HH) faculty members employed at mainstream universities. A total of 104 students in D/HH faculty classes at universities in Japan, the United States, Canada, Ghana, and Sweden participated in the surveys, and 19 students participated in the interviews. This study also interviewed 25 D/HH faculty members from universities in Japan, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, and Ghana. Fifty-seven D/HH faculty members from these countries as well as Australia, Finland, South Africa, and Belgium, participated in the surveys. The study analyzed studentsâ willingness to pay for classes taught by D/HH faculty members, and found that studentsâ total values were higher than the labor and accommodation costs of D/HH faculty members. As the evaluation included participants from various countries, the study also observed that the financial support system for accommodating D/HH faculty members in higher education varied among countries. This study demonstrated that students had higher expectations, especially regarding the development of disability services for faculty members with disabilities. The study also advocates recognizing the importance of expanding financial resources, establishing disability services, and training sign language interpreters.

Maybe we should focus on putting resources on increasing quality of life rather than helping people who are pushed to suicide because of disability/isolation/lack of resources, to death?
Euthanasia to people with mental health issues facilitates suicide and validate the mental illnesses (and that's without considering the little push from family or the system about how "yeah how you live is terrible maybe you should consider euthanasia rather than be disabled tbh"). It validates the idea that the mentally ill person is nothing and would be better dead. In our liberal countries, it removes the incentive of the government to give disabled people and dying people, the means to be cared for by society. Dying is much cheaper than funding hospitals, care and benefits.
I read one case very recently of a woman in Belgium who was at the end of her life and requested euthanasia... the amount of product they gave her was insufficient. What did they do? They (the healthcare team) smothered her under a pillow to kill her. How is that not gruesome? How is that ~ dignified ~ ?
That story leaked out because one nurse talked about it, but I know for a fact that this probably happened more. In fact, years back when euthanasia was legalized there, the protocol included a paralytic which means that even if the sick person was not dead... they were paralyzed and couldn't talk, and could also be in extreme pain. It apparently changed now but... How is that not gruesome? How many of these stories exist, that we'll never know about, because it's targeting a very vulnerable and forgotten population we prefer to kill and hide, rather than help? Where is the ~ human dignity ~ in killing our peers because they can't access the resources and life that is bearable? Where is the ~ human dignity ~ in having to live your last moments in extreme pain and discomfort because the dose was wrong?
I despise so much the idea that a death or a human life can be "dignified". It's sparkly words, it doesn't mean anything. You wanna suicide because your life sucks? Do it on your own, don't bring doctors or the healthcare system to validate it. Suicide is actually more difficult to do than it looks, as the human body is quite resilient and made to survive. But whether it's through euthanasia or suicide, it's never pretty. It's never happy. It's never dignified. You shit yourself all the same. Your corpse is bloated all the same. You rot the same. You smell the same. You are dead all the same. There is absolutely no dignity then, you don't exist anymore. Neither tables nor corpses have dignity, they're just inanimate objects. It's gruesome no matter what, that's what death is.
Primum non nocere. Giving healthcare providers the access to easy serial killing is not the answer to taking care of the difficulties encountered by disabled people.
The more I dig into the question of euthanasia, the more I'm against.
Did you know that in Belgium, during 2020-2021, 92 people got euthanasied because they suffered from psychiatric illnesses or cognitive issues?
18 for depression/bipolarity, 49 for dementia, 10 for personality disorder, 6 for what is called "nevrotic", 3 for schizophrenia, 4 for neurological disorders like autism (I doubt it's only autism but it could be ADHD and all that stuff, it's not said), 2 for illnesses like anorexia. None of those had a short lifespan left btw.
This looks very much like hating disabled and mentally ill people. :)

THIS is Why i moved to Scotland
THIS IS A GREAT VID. AND IâM REALLY HAPPY FOR HIM.
BUT LET ME TELL YOU A LITTLE ABOUT THE SCOTLAND FEW PEOPLE KNOW.
IâM SCOTS BORN AND RAISED. NEARLY 60 NOW. BORN THERE, WORKED, RAISED A FAMILY, THOUGHT IâD DIE THERE WHERE THE BONES OF MY ANCESTORS ARE.
I WED A FLEMISHMAN. HEâS PERMANENTLY DISABLED, RECEIVES A DISABILITY BENEFIT IâM INCLUDED ON AS CARER *FROM HIS NATIVE BELGIUM*. NOT THE UK. SO YOU SEE, WE NEVER COST BRITAIN A PENNY....AND ALL OUR INCOME, LITTLE AS IT IS, WENT INTO THE SCOTTISH ECONOMY.
THEN, BREXIT. AND WE WERE TOLD BY BELGIUM THAT BECAUSE THE UK GOV REFUSED TO CO SIGN THE NECESSARY RECIPROCAL AGREEMENT FOR THE RECEIVING OF SUCH INCOMES IN THE UK, MY HUSBAND WOULDNâT BE ABLE TO STAY IN SCOTLAND. NO TRANSITION PERIOD FOR US. WE WERE GIVEN A DATE OF APRIL 1ST LAST YEAR TO LEAVE SCOTLAND AND GO LIVE IN âANOTHER EU COUNTRYâ IN ORDER FOR US TO RECEIVE OUR SOLE SOURCE OF INCOME.
THE TIME I SPENT PLEADING, BEGGING, OPENLY AND PRIVATELY, AT THE SCOTTISH GOVERNMENTâS DOOR, TALKING DIRECTLY TO PEOPLE SUCH AS MICHAEL RUSSELL MSP, ALYN SMITH MEP, IAN BLACKFORD (NO REAL WORDS FOR THAT MAN) AS WELL AS EU AUTHORITIES SUCH AS MAGGI DE BLOCK AND OTHERS, UK GOV AUTHORITY FIGURES (WHO SIMPLY IGNORED US) AND NOT A SINGLE DAY WENT BY WHEN I WASNâT FIGHTING FOR THE RIGHT TO REMAIN IN MY NATIVE LAND WITH MY HUSBAND BY MY SIDE, OUR SMALL FAMILY INTACT.
FROM NICOLA STURGEONâS OFFICE...âTRY THE DWPâ. SO I DID. THEY SAID NO. SAID FRANS WASNâT EVEN ELIGIBLE TO *APPLY* UNTIL BREXIT HAD HAPPENED, AND HE WASNâT EVEN GUARANTEED A DISABILITY INCOME DESPITE BEING GRANTED A LIFETIME ONE FROM BELGIUM. WE LIVED THEN, AS WE DO NOW, HAND TO MOUTH. ANYONE TRIED SURVIVING ON FRESH AIR?
HAD AN ARTICLE IN THE OBSERVER MAGAZINE ABOUT OUR STORY. IN iSCOT MAG.
I PLEADED WITH MIKE RUSSELL ET AL TO AT LAST PUT ME IN TOUCH WITH THE EU AUTHORITIES WHO WOULD BE ABLE TO ADVISE US. NOTHING. I BEGGED HIM MORE THAN ONCE TO PUT US IN TOUCH WITH OTHERS IN OUR SITUATION, SCOTS WED TO EU DISABLED CITIZENS, SO WE COULD CAMPAIGN FOR OUR RIGHTS, BECAUSE ALTHOUGH EVERY OTHER EU CITIZEN WAS GUARANTEED THE EXTENSION PERIOD, THOSE IN RECEIPT OF DISABILITIES FROM THEIR OWN NATION WERE NOT. NOTHING. NOT A THING.
OBVIOUSLY..SINCE WEâRE NOW IN IRELAND...I LOST THE FIGHT. ALMOST COMMITTED SUICIDE TWICE. DO YOU KNOW WHAT ITâS LIKE TO BE EXILED FROM YOUR COUNTRY FOR NO FAULT OF YOUR OWN? TO PLEAD AT THE DOOR OF YOUR *OWN* GOVERNMENT, MEANT TO PROTECT THE CITIZENS OF SCOTLAND FROM SUCH HARM, YET TO BE IGNORED AND LEFT ADRIFT TO COPE ALONE?
SO, WE TRIED BELGIUM. I GOT AN APPOINTMENT AT DEURNE DISTRICTHAUS, AND HAVE SPOKEN ABOUT THAT IN A PREVIOUS BLOG. LEFT THE PLACE IN TEARS. WALKED IN PROUDLY WEARING A LITTLE BADGE OF THE SALTIRE ON MY COAT.
CAME OUT WEEPING, TORE IT OFF AND THREW IT DOWN THE NEAREST DRAIN.
I WAS SCOTS NO MORE. I WOULD NEVER BE BELGIAN.
I WATCHED ON THE NEWS, NICOLA STAND AT CONFERENCES, ARMS WIDE OPEN TO HER ADORING AUDIIENCE, PROCLAIMING âALL ARE WELCOME HERE..THEREâS ROOM FOR ALLâ.
EXCEPT DISABLED EU CITIZENS. EXCEPT US. AND THOSE LIKE US.
LYING BITCH...
THE SNP WHO ARE THE PREDOMINANT PARTY IN SCOTLAND WERE FORMED WITH THE CORE OF INDEPENDENCE AT ITâS HEART. THEY SWORE TO PROTECT THE SCOTTISH PEOPLE.
WELL, I WAS SCOTTISH. SO WAS MY DAUGHTER, WHO, BECAUSE MY HUSBAND I AND WERE EXILED FOR ROUGHLY EIGHT MONTHS (ALL THE TIME I WAS ALLOWED IN BELGIUM) HAD TO REMAIN ALONE IN THE FAR NORTH OF SCOTLAND BECAUSE WE COULDNâT GET HER A PASSPORT IN TIME AND HAD NO CASH. FRANS AND I BOARDED THE TRAIN TO BELGIUM WEARING ONLY THE CLOTHES WE HAD ON OUR BACKS, TAKING NOTHING WITH US. LEAVING OUR DAUGHTER BEHIND, NOT KNOWING WHEN WEâD SEE HER AGAIN.
AT ONE POINT, ON TWITTER AND ON MY NOW DEFUNCT WORDPRESS BLOG, TOGETHER I HAD AROUND FIVE THOUSAND FOLLOWERS. NOT A LOT COMPARED TO âINFLUENCERSâ GRANTED, BUT PEOPLE *DID* NOTICE WHAT WAS HAPPENING.
HOWEVER, THE ONLY ONES WHO COULD HAVE DONE ANYTHING..WHO COULD HAVE DEFIED WESTMINSTER AND SAID â*NO* SCOT WILL BE EVICTED FROM THEIR NATIVE LAND DUE TO BREXIT, NOR WILL ANY EUROPEAN THEY ARE WED TOâ DIDNâT. THEY HADNâT THE BACKBONE TO STAND UP TO ENGLAND.
SO HERE WE ARE, IN IRELAND. AND WE LOVE THE PLACE. ITâS HOME FOR US NOW. WEâLL NOT BE MOVING ANYWHERE AGAIN. WEâRE OLDER AND OUR HEALTH TOOK A BEATING DUE TO THE PAST FEW YEARS.
THATâS THE SCOTLAND THAT ISNâT TOUTED IN THE TOURIST BROCHURES. THAT ISNâT SHOWN IN THE SCENIC, MUSICAL, TOURING VIDS. THAT ISNâT ACTUALLY OPENLY SPOKEN ABOUT.
BUT I WILL NEVER FORGET IT HAPPENED. AND I WILL NEVER STOP TALKING ABOUT IT EVEN THOUGH NO-ONE LISTENS.
AND I WILL NEVER, NEVER, FORGIVE.
WE ARE REFUGEES HERE IN IRELAND. INCOMERS, AWARE THAT WEâLL NEVER FULLY BELONG. WE LEFT BEHIND OUR RESPECTIVE HOMELANDS THAT REJECTED US, AND FAMILY WE KNOW WEâLL NEVER SEE AGAIN.
BECAUSE OF BREXIT, BECAUSE OF ENGLAND.
BECAUSE SCOTLAND HAS NO BACKBONE.
SHE HAS THE LANDSCAPES, THE SCENERY, THE HISTORY AND HERITAGE (AND I HOPE THE ANCESTORS OF THOSE IN SCOTGOV ARE LOOKING ON THEM NOW IN UTTER SHAME) AND AYE, SHE HAS HER CULTURE AND THE NORTHERN LIGHTS.
BUT SHE HAS NO BACKBONE. OR THOSE OF US THROWN OUT OF OUR OWN HOMES AND FORCED TO LEAVE DUE TO ENGLANDâS KNEE JERK POLITICAL DECISION WOULD STILL BE THERE.
IâVE TURNED MY BACK ON SCOTLANDâS PEOPLE NOW. THEY ARE SOVEREIGN. THEY COULD HAVE RISEN UP AND DEMANDED, AS IS THEIR RIGHT, OF SCOTGOV THAT NEGOTIATIONS BEGIN FOR THE SPLIT OF THE UNION, THAT âUNION OF EQUALSâ THATâS ANYTHING BUT.
YET THEY DIDNâT.
FOLKS WANT TO KNOW WHERE IâM FROM NOW?
âNOWHEREâ.....
SO ADMIRE SCOTLANDâS SCENERY. ENJOY SCOTLANDâS CULTURE. LAP UP THE HERITAGE.
BUT REMEMBER THE GOVERNMENT AND RULING PARTY THAT STOOD BY AND LET ENGLANDâS TORIES EVICT BORN SCOTS AND THEIR EU SPOUSES AND FAMILIES, AND DID NOTHING TO FIGHT BACK. REMEMBER THAT.
