-Ghia's stand is inspired by The Beatles White Album, so definitely add it to your playlist rotations. My personal reccs are Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, Martha My Dear, and I'm So Tired

-For actual character themed merch, there's a Mini Ghiaccio figurine for a reasonable price and definitely bootleg but still cute Ghia tomonui, and this kitty Squadra themed keychain

-If you want sticker options, there's a transparent White Album one, tiny ghia figure, smol ghia head, and a no talk me I angy ghiakitty

-Taking inspiration from Ghiacchio's outfit, here's a pair of blue light filtering glasses (choose the shade "crystal red")

-white finger loop gloves like the ones he wears

-if you want to carry a wintery mint reminder with you, there's this snowflake diffuser locket! You can drop mint oil (peppermint, spearmint, or wintergreen) onto the little felt pad!

-these acrylic ice cube earrings are another cute and funny nod to Ghia's ice (there's a short pair and long pair in this set)

-since we all know Ghiaccio could use some stress relief, here's a glittery snowball themed stress ball

-As always, I recommend writing your f/o a letter (either in a journal or on @ jojolovenotes), sketching your favorite screenshots, rewatching the episodes your f/o shows up in, and making a playlist inspired by your f/o (including their music namesakes).

January Study Challenge Day 3

Study Tips 

I’d like to think that my study tips are worth while reading but I am a horrible procrastinator. Still here’s a little list of tips that I’ve found helpful when I need to get in the zone. 

1. Have a ‘Study Shower’ 

Part of my procrastinating nature is always finding things to do before I can start studying. So when I inevitably have a shower, I like to put a podcast on, most recently I’ve been binging The Anthropocene Reviewed, And I like to use some Mint-Scented body wash to wake my brain up. Dirty Springwash from Lush is my favourite. 

2. Get Everything Else Out of Your Head. 

If I’m having trouble focusing when I sit down to study, I pull out my journal and try to write some Poetry or just general Stream of Consciousness. I find when that’s done (usually when I’ve properly filled at least one page), the rest of my mind is ready to get some work done. 

3. Make a List of what Needs to be Done. 

As I mentioned I often find things to do other than studying, so if I have a whole day to study I like to make a list of everything I need to get done the night before. This includes things like cleaning and organising so that when I eventually start studying there’s not a million little things that need to be done in my eye-line. 

4. Do Some Study Warm Ups 

I consider studying to be a genuine hobby of mine and yet sometimes the work set before me is either actually boring or boring in the sense that it would be interesting if I wasn’t required to do it. So if I’m struggling to get into things, I like to grab a book off the shelf (non-fiction works best if I’m not doing literature study at the time) and read and take notes. The best part of this is being able to pick and choose the interesting parts to get me excited about the study session.

5. Go to the Library 

This is really the most valuable advice I have, the library is such a good study space and a lot of the time getting up the nerve to go is worth it because of the volume of work you get done whilst there. My favourite place to study is the Fairfax Newspaper Reading Room at the State Library of Queensland. The environment is great and there is a lamp for every chair. But my local library is often really busy and has a lot of Mum & Me classes, so if it’s too busy or noisy to get work done I still like to visit and grab a book or two before heading home to study. Even if I never use the books in an assignment it still feels productive and prepares me for a good session.

Anything minty I would definitely recommend. Intergalactic is a great bath bomb paired with Mask of Magnaminty which will soothe your skin with honey and vanilla absolute (and of course peppermint oil) Maybe even throw in Dirty Springwash shower gel, which contains spearmint and menthol. This combination will help kick any cold/flu symptoms!

Face and Lips: Brush Strokes face mask, Imperialis face moisturizer and Rose Lollipop lip balm

Usually comes in on her way home from work, or just orders online. She’s a busy woman, so she doesn’t always have time to do things in person

Will sometimes have joint spa days w/ Portia if they’re both free

Also has speakers in her massive bathroom to play either soothing tropical sounds or soft, relaxing music

Julian

Hair: Flyaway Hair shampoo bar, Big conditioner bar/cream conditioner, and Revive hair treatment

Body: Outback bar soap, Cup ‘o’ Coffee face and body scrub, and Black Rose bath bomb

Face and Lips: Cup ‘o’ Coffee face mask, Cookie Dough lip scrub

Portia introduced him to the shop, and the staff was so patient and nice, he can’t help but always want to go back. Totally gets flustered when they remember him

Will consider trying something new each visit. He likes to know all of his options

The first time he used everything, he swore he could hear himself squeak with how clean he felt. Also got so very flustered with how many people commented on how good he smelled. Total confidence booster XDDD

Portia

Hair: Seanik shampoo bar, The Golden Cap conditioner bar, and Super Milk hair primer

Body: What’s Up Doc? shower gel, and Gummy Bear shower jelly, and Toby’s Magic Cow bath bomb

Face and Lips: Cosmetic Warrior face mask and Carrot Stick lip oil

Came across the shop while out shopping, and now swears by it

Fell in love with how much they had for curly, bouncy hair

Is known by name at her local store, and also knows everyone who works there

Muriel

Asra dragged him along after going with Portia on a previous run

Felt more than a little overwhelmed by all the options, but the person who ended up helping him was really nice about keeping his personal bubble, so it wasn’t so bad

Glad that he could have the website remember his previous order and he could just get more whenever he’s out. Doesn’t change his orders very often, but sometimes the holiday stuff is good

Lucio 

Hair: Daddy-O shampoo and Candy Rain conditioner, Marilyn hair treatment, and Infra Wig hair gel

Body: Mimosa shower gel for the rest of the year, Yog Nog used with Rose Jam for the holidays, Conga shower jelly, and Each Peach (And Two’s a Pair) massage bar

She’ll go to the mall and pass a Bath and Body Works and she won’t be able to resist. I think she like the Coconut Pineapple scented body wash they have rn. ♡︎ Derek "tough guy" Morgan cried at Hamilton when he watched it on Disney+ with Savanah. He makes her promise not to tell the team. ESPECIALLY Garcia. (it ends up slipping out one night at Rossi's and he never lives it down)

♡︎ i think Spencer really likes skincare products and Lush, but he can’t be in there for too long bc there's too many strong smells :( i like to think he really likes the earthy scents like Rad Dad, Dirty Springwash, and the Cup of Coffee face mask. He also has one of the face roller things in Jade

♡︎ the lovely Penelope Garcia listens to Kim Drac and LOVES them. She listens to Paparazzi at least 3 times a day

♡︎ JJ has gone headfirst into being a suburban mom, but only during Fall. White Woman Autumn is her favorite season, pumpkin spiced lattes are her favorite Starbucks drink, and her wardrobe only consists of skinny jeans with oversized cashmere sweaters and knee-high brown boots. She's basic, but she's very aware of that

31. what outfit do you wear to kick ass and take names?

i have a mustard yellow and black striped sweater with puffy sleeves that i love and i wear it with black or dark blue skinny jeans and my toms and i feel like a woman of the bold type. a more casual outfit that makes me feel like that bitch is baggy sweatpants that i pull up high-waisted with an oversized graphic t that i tuck in and then throw an oversized denim jacket over it. it’s literally nothing special but i feel like i’m able to manipulate my body proportions with it in a flattering way

43. hoodie, leather jacket, cardigan, jean jacket or bomber jacket?

fucking hard because i love layering so bad. jean jacket is probably my number one for the past year when the weather allowed it i finished just about every outfit with a jean jacket of various wash. but i’ve historically always been a cardigan girl. i love leather jackets too i just love throwing a good jacket over my shit i feel like it takes a very basic outfit to something that looks more put together it elevates it

44. favorite scent for soap?

my top three in recent history are bath and body works strawberry poundcake, method body deep detox (whcih is like cucumber and green tea) and then my all time fave lush dirty springwash its too expensive so i usually just buy one in the summer when i have birthday money (which is nice because its spearmint and menthol so its like so cooling and refreshing and amazing) but god do i love it.

pumpkin - what’s your favourite weather and why?

I like very mild sunny weather! Like if I have to wear a light jacket and that’s it, that’s ideal. Spring and autumn are my favorite seasons, but even autumn can be too much for me. I have very cold sensitive ears so if it’s very windy or cold I get ear aches.

If I’m staying in though I like rainy weather! Not so much stormy like with lightning, but like constant soft rain. Good for napping!

sugarpie - what’s your favourite sweet treat?

I love pumpkin cake with cream cheese icing. It’s probably my favorite dessert of all time. Other notable faves include strawberry shortcake, red velvet cake, strawberry cheesecake...I’m a big fan of cake if you couldn’t tell by my username.

petal - what’s your favourite smell or perfume?

My favorite scent of all time is eucalyptus. Man I love the smell of eucalyptus. It’s so clean and nice. Mint is a close second. Really clean fresh scents are my fave (bonus if they clear your sinuses)

In the fall and winter though I do burn a lot of baked good scented candles. Candles that smell like hot cocoa, apple cider, or pumpkin spice are the best for those months! Listen, if you like the smell of hot cocoa, go to Bath and Bodyworks and look for a candle called something like Cocoa and Marshmallows because it is legitimately the best candle I’ve ever had.

I don’t really do baked good scents as anything other than candles though! All the soaps and stuff I have are all minty or herbal smelling. Some good examples if you too like that sort of smell: Dirty Springwash shower gel from Lush, Lord of Misrule shower cream from Lush, Guardian of the Forest bath bomb from Lush, and literally anything from BBW’s Stress Relief Eucalyptus Mint line
