I've had some time to process since seeing Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and there is one thing that I now know more sure and that is this: the Dr. Ray Stantz that we saw in this film would absolutely NEVER have said Egon Spengler could rot in Hell, and he'd never have not believed his best friend when he was saying Gozer was coming back.
We saw that he was still the excitable Ghostbuster we all know and love from the original films in this movie, and we saw that he never wanted to retire from ghostbusting at all. He even goes head to head with Winston about it being the thing he wanted to do with his "golden years".
So, why would he have pushed Egon away and called him crazy? The answer is he wouldn't have. And I still refuse to accept that there wasn't some sort of plot that they both shared together.
Egon and Ray were ALWAYS on the same page in the original films; they understood one another on such a deep level and it's one of my favourite things about the films. I was so, so heartbroken by the direction they decided to take their relationship in Afterlife.
And after seeing how smiley Ray is about Phoebe following in Egon's footsteps, it's just impossible to me that he would EVER turn his back on Egon under any circumstances.
And I know, logically, that it was for the plot. I know it was for the angst and the drama that Hollywood always desires.
As a fan of Egon and Ray's relationship and close bond thought, I refuse to accept it.
And I will continue to work with the headcanon that Ray was involved in Egon's plot all along. I'm still convinced that Ray was the one that told Egon to head to the farm and write the Bible quote outside the dirtfarm while he worked from New York.
I love Egon and Ray; they're the best representation of an autism/autism relationship. And they understood each other so deeply.

hello I am delighted to learn of Pathfinder’s difficulties with astronomy may I please have some more interesting glitches facts?
always happy to oblige! keeping up with 3.5/pathfinder weirdness bc there's a deep well there lol.
to identify creatures and people and such, you can roll an appropriate Knowledge skill - knowledge (religion) for identifying a deity, nobility to recognize the princess, nature to recognize dogs, whatever. the first problem with this is that the difficulty of the check to identify a creature/person scales with the hit dice of said creature or person, a value that goes up with how powerful a creature is.
what this means is things like - unless your cleric has really maxed out knowledge (religion), if their God takes shape before them, there's a fair chance that the cleric will roll too low to recognize their own deity. it's easy to tell with knowledge (local) exactly who Joe Dirtfarmer is, but far harder to recognize the legendary powerful hero who saved Joe's kingdom. you can tell that a baby red dragon will breathe fire at you but recognizing that an adult red dragon may, in fact, also breathe fire is much harder. etc etc etc.
the other consequence is this - knowledge is a trained skill. to try and make sure that like people didn't have to take knowledge (nature) to know what an apple is or whatever, the designers said anything with a DC of 10 or less is common knowledge and anyone can make a check to know it.
living creatures all have at least one hit dice, adding 1 to the baseline 10 DC. this means they can't fall under common knowledge, ever. knowledge isn't an easy skill to learn for commoners, and even if they do learn it they're likely to fail a lot and have big gaps. joe dirtfarmer is very lucky if he knows for sure what all the animals in his barn is, or if his wife is an elf or a human or a dwarf, or...
as the thread where I first learned parts of this pointed out, you begin to understand why exactly there's so many half-elves and such,

"Dirtfarmer Ep": Black Mountain Tabernacle's Haunting Hymns In the gritty dust trails of their latest EP, "Dirtfarmer," Black Mountain Tabernacle crafts a ghost dance of despondence and defiance while plucking at the strings of dark country lore. The scent of doom-laced honesty hangs heavy as Preacher's vocals cut through like ragged thunder across a stark prairie skyline. His guitar, alongside Stonepicking’s weeping steel cries, conjures up images both spectral and earthbound. https://open.spotify.com/album/2wuk2TzP6lQtI5lsuN1IyC As each track unfolds—like tattered pages from a worn diary kept under lock and key—the narrative arc bends toward the oppressive heartbreak only capitalism in its cruelest form can fertilize. Through Fred Hills' frenetic heartbeat drumming to Alfie Wood's bass lines that slither low on the horizon line like an impending storm, “Dirtfarmer” pulses with raw vigor. [caption id="attachment_55146" align="alignnone" width="877"] "Dirtfarmer Ep": Black Mountain Tabernacle's Haunting Hymns[/caption] Recorded in Brighton Road Studios’ echoey chambers—with every stitch sewn under Jake Skinner’s watchful eye—the result is gruesomely picturesque; it reeks sweetly of despair yet vibrates defiant enthusiasm into your marrow. Masterfully tethered by Ben Pike's resonant touch at Raretone Mastering in Leeds, this is no mere collection but a saga tingled with tragedy. Energized by anguished narratives encapsulated in backbreaking melodies, Black Mountain Tabernacle singsblack-hearted hymns where shadows play folk tales on strung-up bone instruments—a ruthlessly enchanting spectacle dressed in dusk. 40 A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess dir Terry Kinney. In 1994 I auditioned for and received the Illinois State University Acting Fellowship along with Mike Dailey. It was a season long internship at THE Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago and on August 6th, 1994 I began my internship. On August 5th, I received a letter from the ISU department chair at the time, telling me that since I didn’t graduate (not a requirement for the internship) they didn’t have a tuition waiver for me, and if I wanted to do it, I would have to pay for the college credit that the waiver would have covered out of my own pocket, which canceled out the money that ISU gave me as part of the internship, since I would be living in Chicago making anywhere from $0 - $100 a week. Also, Sallie Mae refused to recognize the internship as an internship and would not grant me a forbearance on my student loan. So I went horribly into debt and would have financial problems all the way until I was nearly 40. Which was a shock since I thought I would be dead by 30. Was it all worth it? Maybe? I certainly know I wouldn’t be the person I am now without it, but whether or not that is a food thing depends on who you talk to. But the first show was A Clockwork Orange, an adaptation by Anthony Burgess of his own Novel. It was directed by Terry Kinney one of the founding members of Steppenwolf. At the time the building on Halsted was only three years old, so I always think of it as the new building, even though by now it’s almost thirty years old. Clockwork was a HUGE show, large cast, amazing spectacle and if you read the reviews, huge other things. For some of my stories on Clockwork, you can check out https://vimeo.com/117766425. I didn’t get to perform in this, but I was a PA and did running crew. And I learned a lot watching professionals work. Show photo by Michael Brosilow. I enjoy the channel boot jokes, but it does annoy me when those types of jokes overtake the actual character, also it's interesting to take a look at the jedi actually being bad, like thats what a 3d dimensional character would do, he's not just a gay joke
hes not and a lot of people really overlook things that could make luke interesting, like the fact that he's basically just a dirtfarmer or that he was brought up in the middle of a desert... but all takes on luke I've seen are either ‘gay disaster twink’ or ‘perfect ray of sunshine, never hurt nobody, always smiling’ . his fans constantly deny him other emotions, especially the ugly stuff.
