BACKGROUND- come from a rich family and am known to be the perfect girl .... perfect grades, perfect looks, perfect manners. But deep down, she knew she was far from it.
Tired of her family's expectations she ran away from home (aka went on a vacation to Korea) without her parents knowing. Moving to Korea she experienced what a normal life was like renting a small cozy apartment, enrolling in Yonsei University (Department of Medicine and Business Administration.), and working part-time jobs to provide for herself. (But without her knowing her parents already knew where and what she was doing the whole time).
Got scouted a hundred times by a lot of companies even the big 3 but rejected them all except for one particular company that begged outside her apartment for a week just to go audition at Hybe.
Finally, after a lot of persuasion, she went to the company and passed after one look at the judges, trained for 2 weeks then got moved to KOZ Entertainment (due to Zico begging to have her as a member of BOYNEXTDOOR).

diversity on the catwalk
fashion creatives are embracing inclusivity and body positivity, exploring themes such as size, gender, age, race, and disability.
Precious Lee, Ashley Graham, Paloma Elsesser
The fashion industry is constantly improving and evolving, we are starting to see more culture and diversity through ought each season.
In July 2020, Gucci launched its new genderless shopping category on its website called ‘Gucci MX’ using only gender neutral models to showcase the pieces.
Brands such as Simone Rocha, Rachel Comey and Vivienna Westwood are starting to include many more older models to showcase their work this is making the fashion world more diverse and as the seasons go on their seems to be more inclusivity each time.
AlexandraKutas
Hailing from Ukraine, Alexandra Kutas claimed the title of the world’s first runway model in a wheelchair as well as Ukraine’s first fashion model with a disability. Alexandra modelled on the runway during Ukraine Fashion Week in 2015 and a couple of months later unveiled a photography exhibition called “Break Your Chains” alongside photographer Andrei Sarymsakov in an effort to break down society’s stereotypes and negative perceptions of people with disabilities.
Kelly Knox for Grazia 2018
Greater diversity within the fashion community opened up a space to celebrate all beauty and gave a platform for people with disabilities to be more visible. As a result we are seeing more people with disabilities making appearances on runways, on the cover of magazines, in fashion ads and beauty campaigns.
Jean Paul Gaultier haute couture spring/summer 1998
among the roster of major designers Jean Paul Gaultier is notable for his concerted adoption and celebration of queer aesthetics from placing men in skirts in 1985 to repeatedly drawing on the homoerotic motif of the Genet-esque muscly. Over the years he has had many collaborations and with friend and muse Tanel Bedrossiantz to various striking ends. In his spring summer 1998 Age of Enlightenment influenced couture show, Bedrossiantz apps rated in a tightly corseted ruffled gown over a white shirt and tie an image so iconic it was included in the catalogue for vogues 2019 camp.
Somali-American model, Halima Aden 2017
Halim Aden was the first Muslim woman to wear a hijab on the international high fashion catwalk at the Max Mara show held in Milan on 23rd February 2017.
youtube
Madeline Stuart is a 20-year-old model with Down syndrome from Brisbane, Australia. Madeline has walked in Art Hearts Fashion Week, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week China, Style Fashion Week, Melange Fashion Week, Runway Dubai, Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival, and Birmingham Fashion Week. She has appeared in Vogue, Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Woman’s Day, Women’s Weekly, Elle, New York Times, People, Marie Claire, Huffington Post, and many more. She was also named Model of the Year in 2016.
Nina Marker famous model with autism
Nina Marker was scouted at a McDonald’s in 2014 and was quickly snatched up by Elite Model Management. She has walked the runway for Chanel, Dior, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Valentino, Givenchy, Fendi, and Versace, among many others. Nina is an advocate for the Autistic community, as she herself has Asperger’s. She has talked openly about being treated differently when she was young and the depression she experienced following that; she is passionate about creating awareness for Autism and wants to show people that Autistic people can do anything they want to do.

Shes coming back! by u/Mickleborough
She’s coming back! As if she‘d been missed. Yes, this is the announcement that ’everyone in Hollywood [is] talking about‘. [Isn’t Hollywood a movie town? They’d be talking about the writers’ and actors’ strikes, if anything. Speaking of which - has Meghan shown support for the strike? Brad and George have, as well as a host of other well-known stars. But we digress.] Daily Mail archived / unarchivedMeghan’s reportedly re-launching herself on Instagram, which means she can get paid for posting stuff. Social media experts who really should know better have suggested that she could get $1 million / £790 k per post - like the Kardashians. Who work a damn sight harder at maintaining their profile than Meghan does.So how does one get to command $1 million / £790 k per post? Accordingly to a site called Influencer Marketing Hub, this depends on the number of followers and, to an extent, the profile. Under 10,000 followers = around $88 / £70 per post. Under 100,000 followers = around $200 / £159 per post. [Alleged Meghan account currently has at least 76,000 followers. Huzzah!]The site also has a list, 20 of Instagram’s Highest Paid Stars in 2023, including an indication of fees per post. The top 5 gives an idea of what Meghan’s up against:The footballer Cristiano Ronaldo - $2.397 m / £1.905 m per postThe businesswoman and personality Kylie Jenner - $1.835 m / £1.459 mThe footballer Leo Messi - $1.777 m / £1.412 m The singer and actress Selena Gomez - $1.735 m / £1.379 mThe actor Dwayne Johnson - $1.713 m / £1.362 mAnd what will Meghan promote? An expert states:This reads as though it was written by Meghan. Seriously.Well, the top 5 Instagram influencers listed above have posted on goods ranging from shampoo to crisps to bottled water. Selena Gomez also promotes Coach, a label which may offend Meghan’s refined sensibilities. Would Meghan expect Cartier to call? However:Chiara Ferragni. Cartier’s also used Isabel Tan and Yoyo Cao. No idea who they are - showing my age.Influencing seems to be a young person’s game, if not a celebrity’s. According to marketing site Voxburner, luxury brands should be targeting Gen Z. The ideal spokesperson would be a Gen Z who’s personable and relatable - and being a celebrity doesn’t hurt either. They mention Tanya Burr (?) (4.3 m followers) for Dior; Lily-Rose Depp (8.5 m followers) for Chanel No 5; and Francis Bourgeois, a TikTok person who‘s a trainspotter [seriously?] for Gucci: Influencer Marketing for Luxury Brands.‘Meghan, Aesop’s Poo Drops (was that for real?) in loo one, I mean, on line one!’She’s baa-a-ack.’ post link: https://ift.tt/b706oeQ author: Mickleborough submitted: August 26, 2023 at 11:40PM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit

race diversity
Diversity in fashion means bringing in a diverse group of people who share clear distinctions such as age, skin color, race, orientation, and body type. People want to be heard, seen, and, most importantly, represented, which is what big fashion brands such as Chanel and Gucci are doing. For years modelling agencies and editors tended to look to one body type and skin colour. However over the years there have been a number of black model figures who have led the way in changing the industry such as Winnie Harlow, Jourdan Dunn and Amar Akway.
Dorothea Towels who was born in Texarkana and was the first top model to work in Paris after she was discovered by Christian Dior in 1949 becoming one of the most celebrated models in Europe. Christian Dior was the first to hire her. Working with other models from Finland, Sweden, England (and even Soviet Russia, extremely uncommon at the time) she helped Dior to internationalise the appeal of his fashions. Being one of the models chosen to help popularise Dior’s revolutionary “New Look”, she also learned the “Dior Swirl” and dazzled both him and his clients during the excessive runways.
Dorothea Towels in Paris
Other models such as Sara Lou Harris, Donyale Luna and Mounia all made historical moments such as Sara Lou’s Harris becoming the first black model to appear in an advert campaign, Luna becoming first black model to appear on the cover of vogue and Mounia who became Ysls first ever black muse.
Mounia as YSL’s muse
Iconic Naomi Campbell has been the face of fashion since the late 80s, she has always been an inspiration to many young women and has climbed her way to the top working with high brands such as Chanel , Vivienne Westwood, Thierry Mugler and many more. Her most iconic moments include closing Gianni Versaces last haute couture show in 1997 as a Versace bride.
Naomi Campbell falling at the Vivienne Westwood runway in 1993
Supermodel Donyale Luna was one of the worlds most beautiful women in the 1960s. Born Peggy Lee Ann Freeman in Detroit, Luna began modelling in 1965 and within months an article in Time magazine declared 1966 to be “the Luna year” she was the first black model to appear on the cover of British vogue, was a muse to legendary photographers like Richard Avedon and David Bailey.
Donyale Luna 1971
Anna Bayle was one of the first Asian Supermodels who rose to prominence in the late 1970s. She became one of the highest paid models of her time. Currently Bayle serves as the beauty editor for online fashion publication look online.
