You, Diona, and your best friend, [F/N], were currently all sitting at your kitchen table taste testing Diona's latest non-alcoholic concoction. More specifically, only [F/N] was doing the drinking. Diona only wanted to make the drinks and there was no way in hell you were gonna drink anything she makes with the stuff that is put in them, even if you know how good it will taste.

Currently, [F/N] was happily gulping down Diona's latest creation, which only seemed to anger Diona.

"*glug* ... *glug* ... Ah~. This has got to be one of the best drinks I have ever had in my life!" [F/N] proclaims as they slam their empty cup on the table. "What did you say was in this drink, Diona?"

"Grrr... I put a few pieces of cat hair, a whole lemon, a pinecone, and a cockroach I found hiding under the kitchen counter in a blender and then poured all of that into a glass of water." Her hair started to bristle. "Why is it that no matter what disgusting things I put in a drink it's STILL bound to taste delicious?"

You cringed as she listed each ingredient to [F/N] and you expected them to do the same. However, they surprisingly looked deep in thought.

"Hold on... You're saying that ANYTHING you put in the drink is not going to change how good it tastes?"

"YES! Isn't that obvious to you?"

"So you could put something deadly like poison into the drink and it would be the best tasting death drink you could ever have?" [F/N] interrupted.

"But of course. Even something like poi-" Diona paused. Her ear twitched. Slowly but surely, you could see an evil smile come across her face.

When you first left, you knew that there were two people and a talking raven occupying your apartment. One of which was your best friend, [F/N], who you had told to watch over the others, Fischl and Oz, while you were away. You had also told them to not let them leave the apartment for now, as you could not explain to any strangers why a strange looking girl had a talking raven with her.

You explored your apartment for any signs of life and eventually, you found Fischl and Oz in your bedroom standing next to the closet door. However, you had visited every other room in your apartment and were unable to find [F/N].

"Hey Fischl, do you know where [F/N] is? I couldn't find them anywhere."

Fischl and Oz turned around to look at you.

You heard banging from inside the closet.

You and Diona were at your computer looking up American history. Diona was curious about the would and country you lived in so you decided to try your best to teach her all of the important historical events that you remember learning in school.

However, you made sure to hide all mentions of Genshin Impact on your computer before letting Diona come watch. You didn't want her to have an existential crisis.

The two of you were currently scrolling through the list of amendments in the U.S. constitution and Diona suddenly told you to stop.

"Wait stop! See that one? What does that say?" She asked, slowly inching forward to the screen.

"Ummmm... 'The Eighteenth Amendment is also known as the Prohibition Law. This prohibited the manufacture, sale, or transportation of 'intoxicating liquors.' This essentially meant a ban on alcohol bu-'"

Diona pushed you away from the computer and looked at the screen with sparkles in her eyes.

"WHAT?! NO WAY! THAT'S AWESOME! Looks like Mondstadt could learn a thing or two from your country. Hehehe." She snickered.

You carefully moved your way back in front of the computer. "Maybe. It's unfortunate that it didn't last very long."

Diona looked at you with a serious expression. "...What?"

"You didn't let me finish. 'This essentially meant a ban on alcohol BUT this would lead to the Prohibition Era of bootleg alcohol sales and consumption. The unpopular and ineffective amendment was then repealed by the 21st Amendment.' Essentially, it only lasted 14 years."

Diona was stuttering in shock. "H-huh? W-what? 14 YEARS?? Could everyone not see that they were living in PARADISE?!! UGH!" She crossed her arms. "Those drunkards would do anything to get their hands on alcohol. Who's the idiot that repealed that wonderful amendment in the first place??"

You quickly opened a new tab and searched for the answer. "Umm... Franklin D. Roosevelt was President at the time. But it's really Congress who handles the proposals and ratifying amendments."

Diona threw her hands up. "I don't CARE who handles it. That man should not have let such a thing get past him." Diona pauses for a bit, almost like she was thinking about something. "Unless..." She gasps. "Was he a drunkard himself?!"

You opened another tab. "Ummmm... Kind of?"

"GRRR…! OF COURSE HE WAS! Otherwise he wouldn't let such a thing happen! Looks like this country needs someone responsible to man the helm! Move aside!"

You decided to play along with her for now. You weren't worried about her finding anything inappropriate as long as you were watching over her shoulder.

At first, she searched up innocent things such as "How to run for President", "Can someone of Kätzlein bloodline run for President", and "How to become a U.S. citizen".

It was only when she decided to search for "How to mind control an entire country" that you decided to get her off the computer.

Description: Doctor, who isn't a part of Church of Favonius is a unique case for Mondsdadt. But, in theory, nation of freedom should be open to a lot of things. In reality, not everyone is fond of that kind of doctors. Especially, if we are talking about a male doctor.

You are being patient. You just want to help your patients without causing problems.

Diona and Klee knew, that you are a good man. But some people don't agree with them. Diona and Klee are set proving them wrong.

Warnings: Platonic Yandere. OOC. English is my second language. Diona's mother and Klee's father got names. Reader is a male. Reader is a doctor. Reader was a midwife/male midwife/accoucheur/man-midwive when Diona and Klee were born. Draff is a jerk towards Reader. Mentions of alcohol and alcohol consumption (not from Reader). Diona is eleven, Klee is nine. Not important, but it take place a year before Traveler woke up. Klee and Diona are 'tamer' yanderes. They aren't violent, but can cause a trouble and prank people a lot. Two parallel plots (about Reader's present and the past).

A/N: About Diona's mother and Klee's father names.

Diona's mother - according to Genshin wiki, there are three sources for Diona's name. She was either named after Diana, Roman goddess of hunt, or Dionysus, Greek god of wine-making, or Dione, a sea-nymph (and, in some myths, Zeus's lover and Aphrodite's mother).

I decided not to choose a name from Dione's myths. While Spring Fairy is important to Diona's story, Dione's myths are more suitable for someone from Fontaine.

So, only Dionysius and Diana remained.

Their mothers names are Semele/Thyone and Leto/Latona. After looking up name origins from other Mondstadt characters (NPCs), I have discovered that there are characters with Latin/Romanian names. So I choose Latona as Diona's mother's name.

Klee's father - this one was easier. Klee's name means "clover", and her symbol, the four-leaf clover, traditionally thought to bring good luck to the barer. So, I choose Felix, a German name that means "Lucky".

Sun started to settle, when you finally left the cathedral. On your way you said goodbye to nuns, with mildly interest looked at how Albert was chased away from the cathedral by Rosaria (this time not because of his fixation on Barbara. Partly). You scoffed. You did not like that man.  Albert was a very wild fan. So wild, he was ready to sabotage yours work because “someone else” (a certain hunter with cat ears) promised to arrange his meeting with Barbara during deaconess next visit to Wolvendom.

Albert did not think about the consequences of verbally attacking a known doctor in the cathedral. Thanks Barbatos, nuns helped you every time someone like this happened.

You have enough on your plate without those hooligans. There were less of them lately, tho...

Who could think that being a doctor would lead to that?

You always wanted to be a doctor.

You wanted to help people be healthy and well. To save lives. Who knows, maybe one day you could find new kinds of medicine that will be more effective than existing ones or would make the recovering process easier.

Your mother was one of the nuns from Church of Favonius. When duty calls, she would spend hours treating injured or sick people. She didn't have a Vision and could only count on her knowledge and skills, but she did her best.

Your father was a carpenter, but he also helped injured and sick by making crutches, temporary beds and stretchers. He showed you the importance of good medical equipment.

Both of your parents showed you the importance of kindness and patience.

When you were little, you often spent time in church. There was a lot of heavy wood and sharp instruments in your father's workshop. In no way suitable place to keep a toddler inside it (at least without constant supervision (without blinking)). Because of that, you had to stay with your mother, looking at how she performs her duties. Sometimes, she asked you to help her. Well, your help included "carrying a small basket with one rug", "bringing a pillow" and "calling for another nun". These little chores made you happy. You, a little boy, a toddler, who still had his baby chub, felt like a real doctor. At the dinner, you would tell dad about how much you and mom helped others today. Your enthusiasm made your parents smile.

Of course, they quickly noticed your interest in the doctor's work. When you became old enough, you started helping your mother with picking medical herbs. She taught you everything she knew about medicine and medical help. It was basic. It wasn’t enough to become a doctor.

You start asking other nuns from church about first aid. How to bandage wounds, what to do with broken bones, and how to help people with poisoning?

You have millions of questions and wanted millions of answers.

Sisters, if they weren't too busy, answered some of your questions. Not all of them. You have Church of Favonius to ask for help if you have a medical problem.

Some sisters asked if you were thinking about joining the Church of Favonius. That way, you could learn more about medicine.

You... didn't want that. You didn't see yourself praying every day, listening to people's confessions, and doing similar church jobs. You wanted to be a doctor and only doctor.

You told that to one of the nuns. Only after you finished your short speech did you notice that your mother had heard you.

You felt guilty. Maybe your mom wanted you to join the church?

Later that day, your mom and dad have a talk with you.

They said that they loved you. And they have been saving mora for years so you can go to Sumeru and study medicine in Akademiya.

"But... Can I be a doctor and not be a part of the Church?"

Your mom hugged you as tight as she can.

"[Y/N], my kind, smart boy, of course you can! You can be anyone in our city. And Dad and I will always support you and love you!"

Dad riffled your hair.

"You will be the best doctor in Mondstadt, buddy. We will be always proud of you."

A month later, you three departed for Sumeru. Your parents helped you settle down and returned to Mondstadt with tears in their eyes.

For the next few years you will stay in Sumeru until your study is over.

You were on your way to “Good Hunter”, when someone small and dressed in red cross your path. The small red jumped up, hugging your torso. You stand in one place, giving the familiar girl a head pat.

Klee's smile became even bigger.

"Big Brother [Y/N]! You are finally finish with work! Will you play with us?"

All tiredness you felt disappeared. Girl was a walking ball of sunshine and heartwarming moments. It was impossible not to smile while looking at her.

"Us? Is Diona with you?"

Klee shook her head.

“No, she is still in "Cat’s Tail"! Let’s go to her!”

She did not let you answer.  She stopped hugging you, jumped down and, after taking you by the hand, ran toward Cat’s Tail, leading you after her.

It seems you will have to eat dinner a little bit later.

Time passed. You finished your studies and returned to Mondstadt. Your parents were happy to see you.

Their boy retuned all grown up and full of knowledge. You were ready to put all of that knowledge into work.

Mere hours after your return, you were approached by Seamus Pegg. Seneschal congratulated you and made you a proposition. He offered you to work in the cathedral without joining the order. That way you won't have to "worry" about getting patients, and nuns will have a competent helper.

You agreed. It was a good opportunity. Besides, you missed helping your mother.

The first months were calm. Mondstadt was a peaceful nation. For the most part. Not during holidays.

You start hating two specific parts of holidays. Part №1 "Hold my wine and watch this" and Part № 2 "Hah, looser. Hold my wine while I do it properly".

But they were enough for you to earn some good reputation as a doctor.

At first, people of Mondsdadt had questions. Could a doctor without vision, and who is not a part of the church be good? So, they were observing, preferring asking nuns for help.

But you managed to help some adventures and hunters from Springvale with their injuries. Slowly, you earned some good reputation.

Then January came, and your earned reputation was destroyed.

Today, Cat's Tail wasn't that busy. Despite Diona's talent, Margaret's successful business decisions, and cats, the tavern wasn't as successful as Angel's Share.

Diona was finishing preparing a cocktail for one of the patrons, when she noticed you and Klee. The girl's eyes shined.

"Big Brother [Y/N]! Klee! Hi, good to see you two!"

Klee skipped towards the bar counter. She finally let you go of your hand.

"Hello, Diona! Are you done? Let's go and play!"

Diona looked excited. You chuckled. Diona often tried to act as an adult, but she still was a child who loved things children like. For a moment, your smile disappeared when you felt rumbling in your stomach.

Diona glances at you. Her ears twitch.

"[Y/N], are you hungry? Want some juice? Grilled fish? A steak?"

Klee joined her friend. She started to rummage through a backpack.

"I have a Fish-Flavored Toast! Just give me a moment."

You raised both of your hands, but your voice remained calm.

"Girls, calm down. There's no need to fuss over that. There is no need to cook anything for me."

Girls still didn't look convinced. You tried again.

"Girls, are you hungry? We can go to Good Hunter together. I will buy you something to eat."

Girls looked at each other. Klee spoke first.

"I am not hungry."

Diona nodded in agreement.

"I am also not hungry. I still can..."

You raised your hand again.

"Then let me buy you something sweet from Good Hunter. Or you can go and play while I am having dinner, and we will meet earlier and play."

Klee and Diona looked at each other. They start whispering to each other. They reached the agreement. Diona spoke.

"We will play. But I insist, please, take that."

Diona took a bottle of juice under the counter and held it towards you. You, after a moment of thinking, take it.

"Thanks, Diona."

Diona smiled.

"You are welcome!"

Then, both girls spoke in unison.

"See you later, [Y/N]!"

You left the tavern.

You were glad, that Cat's Tail wasn't that popular among people, who agreed with Draff on what happened eleven years ago.

That day, the eighteenth of January, started normal. It was just another sunny day. Suddenly, the sky became gray, and the wind started howling. The snowstorm was coming.

Grandmaster Varka decided to evaluate Springvale and residents of Dawn Winery in the city.

You (in case there were injured) and a small squad of knights went to Springvale. You faced some difficulties. Draff refused to go. His pregnant wife, Latona, left earlier that day to check on the traps. She still hasn't returned. You and two other knights volunteer to look for her. This reassured Draff, and he went with the rest of the knights.

You and two other volunteers split up. You hoped that Latona didn't go too far, and you would find her before the storm started.

You partly jinxed it.

It didn't take you do long to find her. But the snowstorm started a few moments after you found her. On top of it, Latona went into labor.

You remembered the lecture about midwifery. A question from someone. "Professor, why are male students here? Isn't it wrong for males to be midwives?"

A strict answer. "It will be a great world, if all injured and sick people have a choice on which doctor to go to. But, sometimes, there will be no choice. Will you abandon the patient in the middle of the forest because they are an opposite danger? Will dear ladies refuse help from the male doctor while staying in the middle of the desert? You ate future doctors. You are helping patients. You should carry about the problem, not their gender. Save lives!"

You acted without hesitation. You have no time to carry her to the city, so a nun could help her. You were the only doctor here.

Thanks Barbatos, there was a cave nearby.

You managed to get Latona here and start a fire.

You helped her get into a better position and took her hand.

"Okay, Latona. Breath with me and push."

It took a few hours for Knights of Favonius to find the cave.

Thankfully, no one was hurt.

Not you. Not Latona. Not a baby Diona.

At first, Draff was happy. His wife and daughter were safe. But then, when emotions calmed down for a bit, and the first round of celebratory wine was drank ("I am dad! Another one, bartender!") The realization came.

His wife gave birth in a forest.

She wasn't alone.

You were here.

You are a man. Doctors don't have mandatory celibacy.

A man saw his wife's....

For the next few days, nuns hide you in the cathedral's basement from enraged Draff.

In his defense, he was overwhelmed with a lot of emotions, both negative and positive. And he was drunk. It would excuse his first attempt to beat you to a pulp. Not next ones.

Even knights of Favonius couldn't calm him down.

Draff was yelling in every corner of the city about "a sick pervert who took advantage of his poor wife to look at...".

The situation was escalating. People started to give you funny looks, and some husbands were clearly on Draff's side.

Thanks to Barbatos, Lesser Lord Kusanali and everyone who has any connections to doctors and medicine, Latona finally became strong enough to take a walk. And she was very disappointed with her husband's attitude towards someone who helped her and their daughter.

A couple of blows with a rolling pin later, and Draff was apologizing to you.

You just shrugged. You just wanted to return to your work.

Unfortunately, the damage was done. People were still staring.

You were politely asked not to do any doctor's work without observation. You had to agree.

Nuns tried to give you as much freedom as they could. When they saw, that patient was fine with you, they sent them to you for a treatment.

You were grateful for that. But, still, you felt bitterness.

You didn't deserve that. You were just doing your job.

And then, a year and a few months after Diona was born, Alice and Felix approached you.

Alice was pregnant. And she wanted you to be her doctor during the pregnancy and labour. You could only open and close your mouth. They wanted you?

Only when Felix and Alice repeated again, that both of them were okay with you being a man and not a part of the church, you agreed.

Alice wasn't hiding her pregnancy. She announced it to whole Mondsdadt. And she announced you being her doctor to he whole city.

Alice, the daredevil adventure, was listening to all of your prescriptions about diet, exercises and vitamins. She and Felix repeated to everyone again and again of how greatful they were to you.

Nine months later Klee was born.

At the evening of that day, Felix found you on the square. He crashed yiu in a hug, howling with laughter. He repeated his thanks again and again.

He was grateful.

When Alice get enough strength to go for a walk, she followed her husband's example and gave you a bone-crushing hug before the whole city.

After that, people stopped staring. Your reputation was saved.

You finished your dinner, and, like on a cue, Diona and Klee appeared. You gave them a tired smile.

Klee start tugging on your sleeve.

"Big Brother [Y/N], let's go for a walk! Let's buy dandelion seeds and make some wishes! Or we can go fish blasting!"

You stand up, letting Klee lead you. Diona also started walking. Now you were walking between two girls, your favorite patients.

Both girls were well-behaved, when they had an appointment with you. They were also curious and asked questions about medical herbs. You answered their questions.

Diona tried to ask for advice on how to make a gross drink to destroy the wine industry, but you softly, but firmly, asked her not to use medical herbs. They could make people sick if there were too many of them, or they were mixed with the wrong ingredients.

Klee asked you if there was a way to use medical herbs in her bombs. You discouraged her from making bombs. Instead, you taught her how to treat little burns. Girl will need it, especially while learning how to use her vision.

You didn't notice that you walked near Angel's Share. And you didn't notice Draff with a few of his 'allies'. They were occupying one of the outside tables.

There was a smell of alcohol in the air. Diona noticed her father.

She frowned. But, before she could scold him, he slammed his first on a table. He pointed at you.

"Knight of Favonius s-shoud h-have dealt with you, sick sicko years a-ago! You are a disgrace to our nation!"

Klee jumped on one place, hiding behind you. Her hands tugged on your shirt.

"Big Brother [Y/N]? Why Diona's daddy calling you a sick sicko? Can a doctor fall ill?"

You didn't answer her, choosing to give a hunter a heavy glare.

"Daddy doesn't mean to! It's all because of wine!" Diona tried her hardest to keep her voice steady. Her ears and tail were twitching; it was clear that a storm of conflicting emotions was raging in the girl's heart. She loved her father. But you also were important to her. Diona's ears flatten. She whispered.

"He didn't mean to..."

You do believe that Draff didn't mean it. He was too drunk, and his emotions got the better of him.

For eleven years, Draff didn't mean it. For eleven years, his emotions get the better of him.

With each year, your patience starts running thin. Yes, you understand, where Draff's dislike came from (your teacher warned you about patients' relatives being dissatisfied with you and your actions). But in the name of Barbatos, sometimes you wanted to ask him if eleven years ago you should have left his wife in the forest during a snowstorm to get someone from the church. Someone who, in his eyes, was more suitable to be his wife's obstetrician.

Of course, you will never do that. Draff was a jerk towards you, and it's a fact. But it doesn't mean that it gives you a right to joke about leaving the patient in a dire situation.

Your voice was calm. You were patient.

"Draff. Calm down. There are kids here."

His face become red. He opened his mouth to insult you again. You didn't let him.

"Draff. Don't. Just don't. What kind of example you will set for your daughter?"

Draff growled, but decided to stay quiet.

You looked at the rest of 'allies'. You stopped your attention at Albert.

He looked sick. Not in a "drank too much" sick. In a "poisoned" kind of way.

"Albert, did you really mix skullcap and kava with alcohol¹? Are you that desperate to meet with Barbara?"

Albert shook his head, but, before he could answer, he throw up. You noticed Miles² patrolling not far away. You made a gesture, asking him to come closer.

Then you looked down at Klee and Diona.

"Sorry girls, it seems, that we can't play today. I have to take Albert to the cathedral."

Girls looked sad. Klee tried to give you a puppy eyes.

You mentally groaned.

"I will be free the after tomorrow. I will send half a day with you two, okay?"

Looks like it was good enough for Klee and Diona.

You said your goodbye to girls and together with Miles you start carrying Albert to the cathedral.

Diona and Klee were children. But they have helping hands.

[Y/N] is a good man. He always listened to them, played with them and supported them. If someone didn't know, they could mistake him for their father.

He was a part of the family.

When Diona became old enough, her mom told her that if it wasn't for [Y/N]'s help, she and mom could become really sick.

Alice always called [Y/N] a good doctor and a man.

Diona and Klee were kids. They didn't understand a lot of things. They didn't understand the reasons.

But they understand that [Y/N] wasn't liked by everyone.

"But [Y/N] is the best! Jean, why people don't like him?"

Jean didn't answer. But she called the reason "very stupid and ungrateful".

Diona's mom also didn't answer.

Adults didn't tell them anything.

But Klee and Diona knew enough to make a decision.

They targeted anyone who was rude towards [Y/N]. And unleashed their fury on them.

Hunters' traps would be broken, the alcohol from the secret stash would become bad, and nets would be tangled up. Mud traps, rotten fruits in shoes, and every possible thing they could think of. Diona and Klee would do it.

After a week or two of prank war, an anonymous note will be delivered to a rude person.

Usually, it worked.

Albert was rude to [Y/N]. So Diona made a special grilled fish, and Klee helped to swap it with Albert's order.

And they will do it with anyone who is making [Y/N]'s life harder.

They deserved respect. They deserved the bounciest dodoco, the best cocktail, the most interesting games, and respect.

Diluc be crushing

Summary: reader is Diona’s older sister and also the crush of Diluc Ragvindr who is not just the prime bachelor of Mondstadt but also the prime heating pad for Mondstadt’s cats. Diona is angy about it thou

Diluc didn’t know what to do. He’d been trying to court his crush for a while but strangely enough Diona seemed to be interfering. If he left flowers she’d destroy them. He wondered if chocolates were even a good idea. Eventually he settled on meeting them himself. Something Diona was also not happy with.

Fortunately his crush was pretty friendly. They even asked if he’d like a room to himself as the cats seemed to swarm him. As they put it “with his vision he’s essentially a walking heating pad so many cats will prefer him.” He took their offer and asked if they’d like to play some TCG, something he didn’t indulge in too much but decided it was appropriate to do so. They accepted and they ended up talking for awhile. Diona kept trying to interrupt however but his beloved simply locked the doors and reminded Diona she had a job to do. Aftersome time Diluc sat on the couch so he could properly cuddle with the kitties. His beloved said she’d bring some snacks. But oh the gentle purr of the kitties, the comfy couch… the soft furrs. It was so comfortable. He hadn’t slept well either… surely a little nap couldn’t hurt…

Coming back to the room they were surprised to see him asleep. They poked him a bit until confirming he was. They were about to leave when they realized the cats now eating, had left him alone. Their cat instincts couldn’t help but wonder if he was warm too… they curiously pressed themselves against him to find indeed.. he was warm.. and cozy.. no wonder the cats loved him. Warm like the sunlight on a patch of grass. In his sleep he ended up wrapping his arms around them and oh! That was nice. His arms were so strong, and warm too… it felt so safe in his hold, you couldn’t help but purr slightly. A very quiet purr as you leaned against him, getting comfortable in his lap as you ended up falling asleep.

When Diluc awoke he was shocked to find you cuddled against him, purring too.. as well as a bit worried he wouldn’t make it to his other arrangements today… but that’s a small price to pay considering how utterly adorable his beloved looks like this.

Aether Via: Was introduced to it by his sister and daughter shortly after waking from a five-year coma. But didn't join until two months later, when he met a third member of the cult; a police officer named Amber. Shortly after joining, he became the one and only mailman for the cult. Or rather, one of the only mailmen, as he prefers to take his daughter with him. Because he doesn't have a car, and it takes a day's walk to get from one compound to another. Was one of the few members that didn't get their own place when everyone was told to disperse. Currently has no job.

Albedo Kriedeprinz: Was introduced to it by his mother's friend Alice, during his college years. Joined shortly after graduating, and after a visit to the Temple of Liyue, he dedicated himself to perfectly recreating Their Grace's appearance. He learned several different forms of art to do so, from crafting stained glass portraits to carving concrete statues. When told to get his own place, he got a two-bedroom suburbian house between his job, a park, and the Church, to make things convenient for him and Klee. Currently works as the Head Forensic Scientist for the Teyvat City Police Department.

Amber Outrider: Was introduced to it by her superiors, Jean and Kaeya, when she was in police training. Joined shortly after her grandfather went missing. She didn't have much to do there, until some teens and kids moved in, which is when she appointed herself as their unofficial PE teacher. A job that she continues after she's commanded to move off-property. She moved into an apartment near the heart of Teyvat City, which she shares with her friend Eula, and Eula's friend Yanfei. Currently works as a patrol officer for the Teyvat City Police Department.

Barbara Pegg: Was introduced to it by her sister Jean, and a nomad named Alice, not long before she became an idol. But didn't officially join until her father found out and kicked her out of the house for "Betraying God". After quite some time there, she became both the Deaconess for the Church, and a nurse for the people living there. Is one of the few that didn't move off the compound when everyone was told to move out. Currently works as an Idol on YouTube.

Bennett: Was introduced to the cult by his childhood friend Barbara, and joined after running away from his abusive foster home. When he's not studying or sparring, he's either wandering the fields that surround the Church, or exploring the distant forest behind it. Due to still being a minor, he never moved out of the Church. Currently has no job.

Diluc Ragnvindr: Was introduced to the cult by his boss, Varka, but didn't join until years later, when the Church of Snezhnaya saved his life. He stayed there for a bit, before discovering that several old friends were members of the Church of Mondstadt. That, combined with the fact that the Church of the first-born was closer to the Dawn Winery than that of the seventh-born, inspired him to move compounds. Sells wine to the cult at a 75% discount. When he was told to get his own place, he simply had a small renovation done to the Dawn Winery and moved in there. Currently works as the CEO of Dawn Winery, and the Restauranteur of a bar named Angels Share.

Diona Katzlein: Was introduced into the cult by Kaeya after he saved her from a fierce winter storm, and joined them shortly after. She was disturbed to learn that the majority of the members drank alcohol, but pleased to learn that none of them were abusive like her dad. She has taken it upon herself to create a drink so disgusting that it would turn her new family away from drinking, but has yet to do so. Due to her age, she never moved off the compound. Currently has no job.

Eula Lawrence: Was introduced to the cult by Amber shortly after becoming a cop, and joined after discovering how geniunely nice a majority of the members were. Teaches the teens how to navigate the wild after noticing them go on multi-day adventures. Gets an apartment for her, Amber and Yanfei to move into in Teyvat City. Currently works as the Captain of Teyvat City's Fourth Precinct.

Fischl Luftschloss-Nerfidort: Was introduced to the cult by Bennett, and joined when she realized that it would surround her with kindred spirits. Was almost overjoyed that they let her crow familiar, Oz, stay with her inside the Church as opposed to outside of it. Often goes on adventures with the other teens, which aid her in remembering tales from her homeworld. Still lives in the Church. Currently has no job.

Jean Gunnhildr: Was introduced to the cult by Varka, but didn't join until after a curropt cop drove her childhood friend away. After joining, she slowly but surely worked her way up to High Priestess of the Church of Mondstadt, and as a reward, became one of the few people in the cult to know who Barbatos was disguised as. Her position as High Priestess gave her permission to stay at the Church when everyone was told to move out, but she decided to get a house in Teyvat's suburbs with Lisa. Currently works as the Deputy Police Chief in Teyvat City.

Kaeya Alberich: Similarly to his brother, he was introduced to the cult by Varka, but didn't join until after Crepus's death, when the Church of Mondstadt saved his life. Out of all the members, he spends the least amount of time on the compound, as he's either busy working, or busy spreading the word of Their Grace. Got himself a one-bedroom apartment when he was told to move out. Currently works as the Captain of Teyvat City's First Precinct.

Klee Hexenzirkl: Was born into and raised by the cult, although it did take her a few years to become an official member, as no one knew what kind of Vision to give her. Spends most of her time creating fun shows for the other members, all of which are loud, colorful, and accidentally destructive. Is the only- if not, then one of the only- members to move out of the Church when the adults received the command. Currently has no job.

Lisa Minci: Was introduced to the cult by her old college classmate, Cyno, but didn't join until after she met and befriended Jean. Is the founder of the Church of Mondstadt's library, and spends her time either managing it, or teaching the teens and kids inside of it. Is currently renting a house in Teyvat City's suburbs with Jean. Currently works as the Head Librarian in the Teyvat City Library.

Mika Schmidtt: Was introduced to the cult by his brother's, Huffman, coworkers back when he was a teen. But he didn't join until after he graduated from police training. His job at the cult is to scout for new members to join, and report all he finds on them to people like Varka and Kaeya. Currently lives in a studio apartment in Teyvat City. Currently works as a patrol officer for the TCPD.

Mona Megistus: Was saved from homelessness by the cult- The Church of Fontain, to be specific- who helped her get back onto her feet. But later moved into the Church of Mondstadt to spare herself from the COF's High Priest. Spends her time predicting either day-to-day events, or bigger, slow-moving ones. Currently lives in a studio apartment in Teyvat City. Currently works as an astrology/zodiac writer for a news company known as The Steambird.

Noelle Maiden: Was introduced to the cult by Jean and Kaeya while at the police academy, but didn't join the cult until she failed her training for the third time in a row. Spends most of her time either cleaning the Church of Mondstadt, or cooking food for her fellow Worshipers. When told to move out, she got herself a job as a full-time nanny for a rich family in Teyvat City. She lives with them in their penthouse.

Razor: Was introduced to the cult when Barbatos and his followers chose their Church of Mondstadt, but didn't join until he befriended Varka and Lisa. Spends his time showing the other teens, and sometimes the children, how to navigate the forest behind the Church. Never moved out because of his age, but technically never moved in, either, as he prefers sleeping in the woods.

Rosaria Church: Was introduced to the cult by Varka, but didn't join until they saved her from a life of crime. She adored the cult's endless kindess to her, and decided to repay it by becoming the first nun of the Church of Mondstadt. But after Morax's disappearance, she was contracted by Varka and Jean to keep the cult safe. Currently still lives in the Church with Barabara and the children.

Sucrose Bio: Was introduced to the cult through Albedo during her college years, but didn't join until after she lost her only two friends. Is constantly trying to invent things to make her fellow Believer's lives easier, or constantly trying to improve the things she's already invented. Is currently living with her coworker, Timaeus, and works as a Forensic Pathologist for the TCPD.

Venti Himmel: Is the first member of Creator's Grace, and was granted the position of Anemo Archon, a vessel of the deceased firstborn, Mondstadt, due to recruiting thirty new members within a month. And is also the only one of the only still-remaining Archons. Prefers to keep his identity secret so he can a) relax more and b) get a closer and more personal look at his follower's lives. As the Archon of the Church of Mondstadt, he was allowed to stay, but decided to move out to keep the appearance of him being 'just another member' up. Is currently living in a homeless shelter, and gains his money by performing street art.

Summary: While travelling across the vast lands of Teyvat you decide to take a break and spend some time with your little friends by inviting them into your Serenitea Pot!

Adventuring throughout Teyvat was extremely rewarding, yet exhausting. Lately it hadn't even been that rewarding, both you and Paimon were quite tired of searching each and every corner of Teyvat only to end up empty handed despite your best efforts... It was high time you took a small break from adventuring and had a relaxing vacation in the comfort of your Serenitea Pot!

You arrived swiftly inside and were greeted with the familiar sight of your house and all the things you had placed outside to make the place more homely! Your eyes roamed through it all as a proud smile rested on your lips. Soon your attention was caught by a particular quest of yours that stood under the shade of a tree, she stood there with some finches happily chirping by her side - one of them even settled on her head! With a smile you approached Qiqi, careful to not startle her or her bird friends.

“Hello, Qiqi!” You greeted her with Paimon following your example and doing the same.

“Hello, Traveler and Paimon...” She slowly greeted back.

Only after looking up did you notice you weren't alone, as Sayu was laying on one of the braches deep in sleep without a care in the world - though you couldn't help, but worry that she would fall down! But hearing the front door to your mansion open your attention was brought elsewhere as you turned around to see Yaoyao along with Diona rushing out with their hands filled with snacks and drinks.

“Hi, Traveler!” Yaoyao greeted you with a big smile.

“I'm sure she didn't ignore you on purpose.” You poked her side playfully.

“Hey! Paimon's here too you know!” Paimon crossed her arms, clearly offended.

“Hey! Do you plan on just standing there or are you going to help? My hands are full you know!” Diona huffed.

You quickly acted and took half of the drinks from her into your own hands - even for a bartender it was too many drinks for one person to carry, you weren't sure how she managed to carry them this far by herself! Diona let out a sigh of relief when freed from half of the glasses before greeting you like the others had previously.

“So are you guys having a picnic or what?” Paimon asked curiously.

“Yes we are! We were planning to just have a snack together, but then the others asked for some too!” Yaoyao explained.

“Others?” You and Paimon asked in unison.

“Oh, they haven't returned yet.” Yaoyao started to look around for someone.

“Klee went to look for a picnic blanket and Nahida said she'd clean up the kitchen before joining us.” Diona explained.

“I should go help her clean up!” Yaoyao offered.

“It's okay, I'll go help her.” You interjected.

“Then I'll go help Klee!” She smiled.

“You really can't sit still.” Paimon joked.

The three of you entered the mansion, but split up as Yaoyao went to seek out Klee and you headed for the kitchen with Paimon. There you found a very puzzled looking Nahida as she stared at the dirty dishes and left over materials that Diona and Yaoyao didn't yet put away.

“Hi, Nahida! Need some help?” You broke her train of thought.

“Traveler! It's been a while, how have you been?” She excitedly approached you.

“Just fine! Paimon and I decided to take a vacation for a while and came to help you clean up!” You explained.

“Oh, I see... I'm sorry Traveler, I haven't washed dishes before and I didn't want to mess up.” She slumped her shoulders.

“It's okay Nahida, Paimon doesn't know how either!” Paimon proudly declared.

“Right! We're happy to help.” You pat her head gently in reassurance.

With a nod of understanding from the young Archon you asked her to take care of putting things away while you would do the dishes; Paimon opted to help out Nahida instead of helping you wash the dirty things Diona and Yaoyao had used to prepare the feast you would soon be joining.

Time flew by as you caught up with Nahida; telling her about your recent adventures, in turn you asked her how she and Sumeru were doing lately. Doing the dishes might not be your favourite chore to do, but with good company it was akin to relaxing. Soon enough the kitchen was as good as new and the three of you were able to finally join the others outside!

“Miss Honorary Knight and Paimon!” Klee shouted as she ran towards you full speed.

You were barely able to react and catch her when she jumped into your arms, tightly holding onto you. Despite her young age and small size she hugged you with incredible strength! You hugged her back while trying your best to not pass out due to lack of air getting into your lungs.

“Uh, Klee? Paimon thinks you're suffocating her!” Paimon stated in worry.

“Oh - sorry!” She giggled and relented her grip.

“It's okay. Hello to you too Klee!” You greeted her while gasping for air.

“Can we get to it already?” Diona sighed.

“Yeah! Paimon wants to eat already!” Paimon begged.

“Okay, okay! Let's start with the blanket.” You calmly put down Klee before picking up said blanket.

Klee, Yaoyao and Diona were quick to come to your aid, each of them picked a corner of the blacket and helped you spread it out evenly on the grass. Everyone helped place the drinks and food on the blacket before sitting down together to enjoy - well everyone except you.

“Sayu! Sayu come down for some snacks!” You shouted gently to not startle her or hurt Diona's sensitive ears.

The little ninja stirred awake and yawned loudly while stretching, she skilfully and quickly got down from the tree while still quite sleepy. She rolled over right next to you with her head soon falling against your arm, poor thing was still waking up and could barely hold her own head up. You didn't mind in the slightest and tried your best to stay as still as you could to not disturb her if she wanted to continue sleeping.

After eating you all decided to play some hide and seek to release all the energy the little one's got from the sugary drinks and food! Paimon opted not to join the game and istead stayed to eat any left overs she could, she truly had an abnormal appetite... Some activity like this wouldn't be bad for her at all, but you didn't wish to force her to join against her will.

You were chosen to be the first seeker while everyone else hid, you were looking forward to their hiding spots! You had designed the teapot yourself which gave you an advantage over them, but you were certain that some like Sayu would make it quite a challenge for you. Soon you reached the count of thirty and the hunt began!

You only had to turn around to see Nahida peeking at you from behind a tree not too far away... You wanted to leave her be so she wouldn't lose so quickly on the first round, but it wouldn't be fair to the others to do so. With a heavy heart you approached her and told her to come out from hiding.

“I've never played this game before.” She laughed awkwardly.

“Don't worry, I'm sure you'll do better bext time!” You encouraged her.

She nodded and ran back to the picnic blanket to wait for the game to end. Your next target wasn't even hiding as Qiqi stood on the porch right next to Tubby looking starstruck. You probably should have expected that she might get distracted or even forget about the game all together, but like before you approached her and told her to go join Nahida.

This time it took you a bit longer to find someone, though you couldn't help but chuckle when you spotted a pair of cat ears peeking ever so slightly from a bush. Diona was disappointed from not winning, but she cheered up a bit after hearing she wasn't the first one to be found.

Once again it took you some time before you were able to find Klee, she was hiding behind a large structure and thus you were unable to see her before you went behind it - which you didn't think to do before since you wanted to check the obvious spots first; just in case!

Now the only one left was unsurprisingly, Sayu. You were expecting this of course, she is a ninja after all! It felt like you were looking for her forever... You had looked everywhere twice, every stone and tree - you just couldn't find her! You were ready to give up until you heard something, the sound of soft snoring that was coming from above - from the roof!

After an arduous clim you were able to safely retrieve the sleeping Sayu and bring her down from the roof to join the others... Seeing how exhausted everyone were after eating and playing you decided to take a nap power together.

Sayu was sleeping next to you already and despite how much energy Klee had, she was able to calm down enough to crawl next to you as well. Diona was happy enough near your feet where she could have her own space and Nahida was on the other side looking the most exited about the idea of dreaming. Yaoyao and Qiqi were on your left together and Paimon was on your right, next to Sayu.

You closed your eyes as the sun began setting in the distance making everything glow warm yellow, the air was warm with a gentle and cool wind brushing over you occasionally. The soft snores didn't bother you in the slightest with how relaxed and at peace you felt... You wished moments like these would last forever.

An Outing With The Kids (Klee, Says, Diona, and Qiqi with a Platonic! Parent-Like Reader)

This. This is so cute. I am super proud of this piece. It’s also 3 times longer than what I usually write XD the idea just took me away. So here it is!! The long awaited platonic-parent story. 

Sayu was visiting Mondstat, for the first time in a long time. She was perhaps too young the first time, because it didn’t seem like she remembered much of anything. You had talked to the priestess in Inazuma, and she entrusted you with keeping her safe while here. You had no problem with this whatsoever, you loved the little girl. She could be very sweet. A little mischievous sometimes, but sweet regardless.

She wanted to see anything and everything. It was fun that all of the regions in Teyvat could be so similar, but so different. Mondstat was a far cry from Inazuma, and Liyue was different in its own right as well. Sumeru was gorgeous, but it was much easier to get straight up lost. Without knowledge of the region, you could be walking for hours with no idea where you were. So in that way, you were thankful Sayu wanted to visit Mondstat. Now rather she really wanted to see it, or just wanted to see you, was up in the air.

“I wanna see…the Knight’s place.” She said, swinging her arms as she walked next to you. It was so cute to see, she acted very mature sometimes, but you knew she just wanted to be a little kid. Who were you to stop her?

“Oh! The Knights of Favonius headquarters? I can take you there! You might like Jean, but she can be pretty busy.” You headed in that direction, making sure she was right by your side, and continued. “She has an anemo vision as well!” You smiled at her, seeing the smile on her face as well.

She seemed even more excited than before, and you found yourself letting out a small laugh under your breath. “I can’t promise we can talk to her for long, but I think it would be nice for you to see her. I’d like to see her too, it’s been a while.” You stated, wondering just how long it had been since you’d seen the acting grandmaster herself. You had been traveling so much recently, so it had to have been a hot minute.

It didn’t take long to arrive, since most of the main city of Mondstat was relatively close together. Sayu seemed like she was bouncing in place, excited to meet the person you’d told her about. Walking in the door, that excitement only doubled. You heard a voice you recognized, and knocked on the door and confirmed that feeling.

“Y/N!” Klee yelled, and ran up and hugged you. “I missed you!” She looked up at you with puppy eyes, and you raised an eyebrow, placing a finger to your head, looking deep in thought.

“Now…did I miss Klee?” It was teasing and she knew it, but her eyes watered anyway, and you remedied the situation by picking her up, hugging her close. “I sure did! I missed Klee too!” You gave her a little spin in the air, and she giggled happily.

You realized where you were once more, at the clearing on Jean’s throat. However she didn’t seem upset in the slightest. She loved to see how good your relationship with the kids in town was. If you thought she was upset before, seeing that big smile on her face made you think differently.

“Oh?” Jean said, “Who’s this?” She leaned down a bit and looked at Sayu. Jean was also fantastic with kids, but more so when she wasn’t working. “It’s nice to meet you! I’m Jean, the acting grandmaster of the Knights of Favonius.”

Sayu just hid behind you, clinging to the back of your shirt and peeking out around your side. With how much excitement she had before, it certainly disappeared seeing her in person now. She could be a very shy child, and she was very far from home which probably didn’t help.

Jean respected that Sayu was nervous, and changed topics. “As for the matter at hand…Klee has been saying she wants to see the play in Liyue. I don’t know how she heard about it, but she’s been trying to go there for some time now.” She sighed, “I wanted to find someone to escort her, so you came at the perfect time. If you wouldn’t mind, I’d like you to take her there.”

Klee hugged you even closer, wrapping her arms around you. “Please, please PLEEEEEEEASE TAKE ME TO SEE YUN JIN IN HER PLAY THING!” She pulled back only to look at you closely, with those adoring puppy dog eyes she knew always worked on you.

You smiled at her, and looked over to Sayu, “Well. It’s up to her. She’s my guest right now.” It was hard to see Sayu past Klee, who was clinging to you as if you’d ever drop her…

“Play…sounds nice.” And she hid fully behind you once more. “We have plays in Inazuma…I wanna see other place’s plays.” It was almost a whisper, but you heard her clearly. It brought a smile to your face, as Klee cheered in excitement.

You didn’t make it past the Cat’s Tail, when Diona came running up. “What are we doing today? Going somewhere without me?” And she pouted. But the pout quickly turned into a smile, seeing Klee and Sayu now holding hands. Supposedly so one didn’t get lost.

“We’re heading to Liyue,” You started, “We’re going to explore and see the town. Maybe watch a play while we’re there.” Her eyes quickly turned to stars, if it were even possible, “You’re more than welcome to come if it’s alright with these two!”

You looked back to see them share a serious glance, before looking at Diona and nodding. It made all three even more excited, and they smiled at each other. Adding another one of the kids to your journey. It would be nice, no responsibilities for a while, allowing the kids to just be…kids.

The journey was long, and all the way from Mondstat to Liyue was filled with conversation, each child growing close to the other. It warmed your heart, and you loved it to the core, that they trusted you enough to take care of them. You always would, even if you were apart for a while. They may as well be yours at this point. You considered them as if they were adopted kids. And seeing them get along? It was a truly peaceful moment.

You reached Liyue after a while, and Klee almost ran off, but Sayu pulled her back. They looked in awe at everything, and their eyes shone bright with excitement at the new area. Something told you that after this…they might all be begging you to bring them back there. But it brought another question to mind, while you were here with these kids.

What was Qiqi doing? While she may be older than those kids in some ways, it made you wonder how long it had been since she’s played with other kids. Making up your mind, you said “Let’s head to the pharmacy! I have someone I want you three to meet!” And you smiled, as they followed you to your destination.

Before you knew it, you were there. The kids looked around, and you leaned over the counter, knowing Qiqi was usually behind there. She was just so small. Hard to see if you didn’t know. But you were used to it by now. “Qiqi?”

Confirming your assumption, you saw the little head with purple hair lean up to see you. She gave the smallest of smiles, which you were used to. “Y/n?” She said in her usual soft voice.

You turned to see the other three girls, who all practically jumped on the counter to see who you were referring to. Qiqi looked a bit surprised, and the other three looked intrigued. “Girls, this is Qiqi! Qiqi,” You pointed to each girl as you said their names, “Klee, Diona, and Sayu!”

Before Qiqi could say anything back, Klee’s stomach rumbled. She looked surprised by the noise, and then feigned, falling towards you. She looked up, and had those…same…little pleading eyes. “Y/n…I want ice cream.”

It was a silly response, and you muttered, “I don’t think that will fill you up…” And you sweat dropped a bit. You patted her head, and pondered. There were many good places to eat while you were in Liyue. You were thinking of the places when you heard Qiqi’s quiet voice.

“Ice cream…Qiqi’s never had ice cream.” Now it was your turn to be surprised. She had plenty of opportunities, there were often ice cream sellers in most regions. Especially restaurants. You had to wonder…why Baizhu never got her any.

The three girls made noises of shock, and Klee jumped up on the counter. At least…as best she could. She was trying desperately to hold herself on it. Legs kicking and dangling bellow, and arms pulling all of the weight they could so she could look at Qiqi. “We’ll get you ice cream. Promise!”

Diona put her hands on her hips, “But if she hasn’t had it before…” She placed her hand to the side of her head for dramatic effect, “How will we know which flavor to get?” She tilted her head and looked at Qiqi, “Is there anything you DON’T like?”

Klee let herself fall back to the ground, and grabbed your hand, looking at Sayu and Diona, before signaling them to follow. “I got a plan!” She dragged you off, and Sayu plus Diona followed right behind, leaving a very confused Qiqi in the dust.

Klee got down the steps from the pharmacy, and stopped. “I…don’t know where to get ice cream.” She looked down at the ground and kicked a couple times. She did that a lot, and it was always cute.

The response and action made you let out a louder laugh. “Oh hun…this way.” You had to wipe a tear from your eye, you laughed so hard. The fact she was so willing and compassionate for wanting to do something as simple as get a stranger ice cream…it was so kind. So mature. Kind of. She could be mature. When she wanted to be.

You led the girls to the ice cream stand. The man smiled at you, and gave a general price range for the ice creams. Nodding, you showed the girls they could get whatever they wanted.

Klee answers first, with a “COTTON CANDY AND GUMMY BEARS AND WORMS AND CHOCOLATE CHIPS!” To which it seemed everyone stared in shock briefly before smiling. Mature? Maybe sometimes. But not right now. Right now, she was just your average little girl with way too big of a sweet tooth.

“Just…don’t tell your brother I let you have that.” She nodded in response, but you knew she wasn’t going to tell him. You and her knew how to keep secrets. But…even so…he always seemed to know something was off. Most he did was sigh, but you were more inclined to not risk anything with him.

Sayu was next, not even looking at the menu and arrangement of different flavors of ice cream. “Mint chocolate chip…please.” She looked away from the man, and he nodded, not that she saw it. Back to shy-Sayu.

Diona’s was quick and easy, just vanilla. Then the real problem arose. “What flavor should we get Qiqi?” You asked, letting the girls decide. That was apparently the wrong decision…or so says your wallet.

Klee looked very determined, and somewhat serious when she said “One of each.” And held out her hand, determined to give him YOUR money, herself. “P-Please!” At least she was being polite. Somewhat.

“Klee…there’s 10 flavors. We can’t carry all that.” You tried to reason, but she only thought for a brief moment before responding. Ah, what it was to have children. They may not be your own, but you were proud of them anyway. However you did have to try and use logic with them.

“Easy! One of each! But two scoops on each one.” She crossed her arms as he made her ice cream, and you could see the man fighting a laugh. “Wait…” She counted everyone’s hands. “We’re one hand short…” She pointed back at the ice cream, as if she just solved world hunger, “Easy again! We let Qiqi try Diona’s vanilla ice cream so she can try every flavor.”

“HEY!” She yelled, “Why does it have to be my ice cream?” She took the ice cream from the man with a small “thank you” before turning back to Klee, hiding the ice cream behind her hand, despite everyone knowing she had it.

In the background, the man continued to make ice cream. It was his job, but he was trying so…so hard not to laugh. Even more so when he saw your exasperated face. “Klee…Qiqi can try my ice cream. It’s okay.” You turned to the main with an apologetic expression. “One of each…five on each scoop. All…all different ones.”

Klee ignored everything for a moment, enjoying her ice cream. At this rate, it would be gone before the man even finished making all of your ice cream. “Klee! Be careful you’ll get brain freeze!” You held your 4 scoops of ice cream in the cones, and had the girls grab the extra ones. “Now come on! We gotta see Qiqi before all this ice cream melts!” You smiled, having handed the man money a long time ago.

The girls let out some cheers, and you all ran to the pharmacy. Luckily it was a cooler day, and it was pretty close. Baizhu was there when you arrived, and he looked confused at all of the children with ice cream…and you…also with ice cream. “Well now, what do we have here?” He chuckled.

“Qiqi’s never had ice cream before!” Diona stated. She walked over to the counter and peeked her head around. “Are you gonna work all day?” She raised an eyebrow, and reached the ice cream out for Qiqi.

Qiqi looked to Baizhu, and he smiled, patting her head. “Go on. Take the rest of the day off. Hang out, make friends. Just be careful.” He winked, and moved to stand behind the counter, taking over the role from Qiqi.

You didn’t have to ask her twice. She ran excitedly around the counter and gestured for you all to follow her out of the shop, before Baizhu changed his mind. “Sit?” She asked, not always one for many words.

You thought for a second, and smiled. “I know just the place.” It would be perfect. To your knowledge, none of the girls had ever gone there. Not even Qiqi, who lives here. There really was no better place.

You had to pull a few strings, but you were here. The look on the girl’s faces was more than worth it when they got the perfect view of all of Liyue. Upon the edge of the Jade Chamber. It was a mixture of intrigue and awe on their faces. Qiqi knew of the Jade Chamber, but she had never been there. How could she? Working for Baizhu and rarely doing much outside of that didn’t leave much room for something like that.

The other three were beaming, as you all ate your ice cream together, even if a good bit of it had melted down your arms. There was but a moment of silence, before there were cries of joy as well as random banter. They fought over which ice cream flavor they’d bet Qiqi liked most. Before long, she had tried each and every one of them.

“So Qiqi…what’s the verdict?” You asked, looking at her primarily but seeing the other three waiting in anticipation in the background. She had tried them all, and looked deep in thought. It took her several moments to speak on her decision as she made up her mind.

“I like…all of them.” The three girls looked shocked, and you couldn’t help but laugh. Klee, Sayu, and Diona all burst into arguments. Sayu mostly stayed quiet, and Klee looked distressed as Diona all but screamed her protest.

“Come on! You have to pick a favorite! We all have one!” She groaned, and you could see the irritation clearly on her face. For some reason, she was taking this very…very seriously. What did you expect? She was still a child. However her look of irritation scared Klee and Sayu, while Qiqi seemed unfazed by it.

Qiqi tilted her head ever so slightly, “Um…then…my favorite…is vanilla.” Her face didn’t give anything away to the girls who didn’t know her well. But you? You knew. She picked that because Diona asked. It made you laugh a little bit, but you tried to hold it in. She didn’t want a confrontation, and she probably saw Diona as more of a threat considering the other two were much more tame.

Diona hopped up, and dropped her ice cream over the edge. She didn’t seem to care all that much. “See! I knew it!” She plopped back down next to Qiqi and put an arm around her shoulder. Qiqi leaned away slightly, but otherwise didn’t protest. “You have good taste! The best if I do say so myself!” She put a hand over her heart and had that glimmer in her eye.

The laughter you were holding in? Yeah. You couldn’t hold it in any longer. It was seemingly sudden, and it caused some of the people working at the Jade Chamber to look at you oddly. The girls looked equally surprised, and found themselves laughing with you after a moment.

Klee jumped up after your bouts of laughter, and looked mortified. “Y/N!” She yelled. “I FORGOT TO TELL YOU THANK YOU! THANK YOU FOR THE ICE CREAM AND TAKING US HERE!” She was being loud again, but this time the workers smiled and continued on.

Sayu chimed in next, “Yeah…thank you.” She cuddled closer to your side. “And…I love you.” It was almost hard for her to say, but it meant the world and more to you. She hid her face in your side, and curled up on your lap as she usually did in moments like this. She’d fall asleep sooner rather than later, lying there.

This caused Klee to jump up again and scream that she loved you, going to your side and pulling you into a hug. She was much more affectionate than any of the others, not caring as much of what people think of her. She giggled and smiled, resting a head on your arm, not quite tall enough to reach your shoulder itself.

Diona scoffed, and smirked at you. “I suppose you’ve earned my love.” And she went to your side, not being as affectionate. She sat, and leaned her arm against yours. It was small…to some. But bigger than you could say. It wasn’t often she’d be so openly “lovey-dovey” with you. But perhaps she was feeling slightly jealous of the attention the other girls gave.

Qiqi looked to the ground, and whispered just loud enough for you to hear. “Love…do I…love? Can I love?” She looked at you, then at the girls around you. “Maybe…” She whispered, moving behind you. She clearly didn’t know what she was doing, but she patted your head a couple times. Then decided to do something you didn’t expect from her.

She leaned forward, and rested her head on top of yours, placing her arms around you. “I…I think I love you.” She let a tear or two slip, now realizing she could do things others did. She could be a child, she could express love. She could find brief moments…of happiness. And above all, she could love.

You loved all of them dearly. This moment meant so much to you, to bring the girls you considered daughters together. Make an odd little family. Each girl was unique, and so unlike each other. What did you do to deserve all their love?

Rather you felt you earned it or not, you whispered back an “I love you too.” You knew…you would do anything for these girls. You had known for a long time. That you wanted to see them grow up. Be a part of their lives. And protect them from anything that came their way. You hoped they knew that too, and valued your love as your valued theirs. Things…were going to be okay, you thought as you looked up to the clouds in the sky. Yeah…things were going to be just fine.

the first time you notice neuvillette's fatherly tendencies, you and neuvillette had been on an evening stroll near the opera epiclesis. the melusines that skip by everyone all seem to light up when neuvillette smiles at them, leaning down to listen to their rants and chatter about their day before skipping off. he slips his hand in yours, murmuring something about how nice it would be to have children one day.

the first time you notice alhaitham's fatherly tendencies, you and alhaitham were walking through treasures street – the walk paused, when alhaitham glanced at a boy, no larger than five, knelt to the ground in tears. alhaitham sits on the ground next to the crying boy quietly, not saying anything ... just waiting for the boy to calm down and speak. he gently lets you know that you're welcome to explore while he takes care of the boy.
