thank you!!! We haven't met Cob's yet, but he's created a lot of technology that protects rich well-known towns. He's praised as a hero for that! But... Behind the scenes he works with a lot of the bigger well-known bandit groups. They'll leave those associated with Meeple alone. But If a town can't afford Meeple tech, or a competitor threatens the business he'll sic a bunch of bandits to tear it down. Paper isn't aware of this, but OJ sure is. As for the shadow... well we haven't met him yet.

NEW YEARS GAME!

You’re a new animatronic. A new years animatronic, to be precise. Or at the very least, that’s what they’ve decided to call you for the time being. They like to change your title frequently enough that it seems a little pointless to keep doing so, but it’s not as though it matters. You have much more important things to do than worry about that.

What do you do? Well, you are Fazbear’s impossible delivery animatronic, delivering presents in every Fazbear location all year round! You’ve been to so many places, theme parks, water parks, cafes and burnt pizzerias alike, all to deliver the endless supply of gifts stored safely within your trusty, bottomless backpack. You can’t imagine a better job than this, handing out presents to anyone and everyone with a name on a prettily wrapped box. There really is nothing like it!

And no matter how many presents you hand out, the backpack never grows lighter, and never grows heavy on your back. A good thing too, given that you always seem to have more deliveries to make come the end of the year and into the next. The gifts seem to change almost every time you open your pack too, and you’re never really sure what it is you’re giving to someone until they open it for themselves. It’s always such a treat to see their face light up as the mystery object beneath the paper is revealed!

You can’t help but feel that familiar sense of anticipation as you find yourself standing within the largest location you’ve been to thus far. Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex, you believe it’s called. Even just the lobby you’ve entered is impressive, all neon lights and golden statues! You can’t wait to see more of it, and you especially can’t wait to meet its inhabitants, animatronics, staff, and guests alike!

The only question is, who are you going to meet first?

Jak and Daxter Trespasser au (Jak and Daxter found Spargus by accident, got promptly plopped in a youth hostel, and proceeded to give Everyone But Especially Damas gray hairs by deciding to adopt Damas as resident parental figure)

It would require some context, but it's this weird au that started as a very unhinged dream I had last year. There are cowboys involved, but also Jak and Daxter characters so they ride dinosaur-like critters instead of horses. It also incorporates stuff from @sparguscityangel 's universes, and Boylei Hobbytime's "Wild Imaginary West" diorama universe (now an official tabletop rpg in production, congrats to him).

I promise the last one actually makes more sense than it did in the dream it's based on.

The dream was what happens when your sleeping brain tries to tell you that Red Dead Redemption, Jak 3, and Dragon Age: Inquisition are all the same video game.

Captain Blaire was good! I liked a lot of the places they went, and her supporting cast. I also enjoyed the many different ways she used her powers, and her functions on that team. Every bond she had there was so great!

I loved her pretending the 616 was an au. I loved the weird shit like the unicorns and the space whale. Oh, and never forget them stomping nazis! Dazzler: "I hate nazis!"

Great stuff. I wouldn't mind Greg Pak writing her again.

Back on the landoscar grind. Newest fic idea to grip my soul and shake until words come out is an apocalypse AU - SHUT UP !!! I CAN SEE YOU LAUGHING AT ME !!! Anyway. Y'all know that one tumblr post from way back when talking about a story where every single apocalypse is happening all at the same time? Basically that, and all the drivers - or, like, most of the drivers - are from different apocalypses. So like, Oscar's living his Mad Max cowboy nightmares while Lando's living his Fallout nuclear aftermath nightmares. They kiss about it.

There are also dinosaurs? idk how that happened. Lewis is one of them. Jk he's only like 55 in this fic and everyone else is old too. Writing about dirty depressed bitter old twink death bear rebirth landoscar>>>>>

infodump at me about aliit au tattoos? please?

kissing you on the mouth about this, if i may. long post ahead, i imagine.

starting with comet:

starry night tattoo - comet is a painter and his favorite artist/main stylistic inspiration is van gogh. i think this is one of the first real tattoos boost did after beginning his apprenticeship in keldabe

honeycomb - this is the testosterone symbol! it's also a matching tattoo with his ori'vod thorn, who was (likely) the first other transmasc he ever met and whose non profit helped pay for comet's top surgery.

art is the weapon - a reference mcr's danger days album and a quote by either frank or gerard: art is the weapon, your imagination is the ammunition, stay dirty and stay dangerous, create and destroy as you see fit. i think that speaks to comet both as an artist and as a queer person, and i think the whole pack is insane about mcr. boost probably gave him this one in high school.

trans symbol - this commemorates his first hrt injection! boost did the injection and the tattoo a week after comet turned 18.

phoenix - this is a huge part of comet's character, and is done in out of the ashes. it's a cover up that helped him let go of an abusive relationship and reminds him of what he's capable of. it's also dedicated to/inspired by @brokenphoenix99, who's been around for comet since day one.

cowboy star - sinker gave him this tattoo under boost's very careful supervision!!

flowers - suggested by phoenix when i didn't like his old chest tattoo, these accentuate his scars rather than distract from them. they're something he's very proud of, so that makes much more sense for him. the flowers represent growth, new beginnings, and him finding the comfort in himself he needed to embrace his femininity. the butterfly is for change/transition.

pack tattoos (dog, sun moon stars, swords) - i'd say all of these are probably from high school if not very soon after. the wrist tattoo was the first tattoo any of them ever got and the first boost ever did. it was a stick and poke and they were around 14-16. sinker's given name means sun ray, boost has always been caught in his orbit (yes, we're excluding earth for this metaphor) and is the more quiet/reserved, so has always been his moon. idk yet when comet chose his name or whether he was already their star at the time, but this became Their Thing. the dog is because they were so rabid/feral in high school (and because comet drew blood biting another kid in a fight) that they were dubbed a pack of wild animals/dogs. they took that and ran with it, calling themselves a pack. the swords are an all for one and one for all kind of deal.

i am creation & lightning bug - i am creation is a lyric from creature by half alive which is transgender To Me. the lightning bug was just cute and comet likes bugs.

sinker:

moths: obligatory sun and moon tattoo to symbolize him and boost. these were really fun to do, i just feel like he's a moth tattoo kind of guy, you know?

darasuum: mando'a for eternal/eternity. this is in boost's handwriting, over his heart.

snake: much like with the moths, he just gives me snake man vibes? i think he likes snakes a lot, as he's a friend to all creatures. the snake has a pattern of suns, moons, and stars.

hip star: i think comet probably did this one! either way, it's dedicated to him.

baby/doll: boost calls him babydoll sometimes. they both have other partners (mostly hook ups for boost, sinker goes on a lot more dates/has other relationships), but babydoll is something just for them. the baby tattoo spends a lot of time under collars (or boost's hands).

others: he's got a lot of random ones because he's been boost's practice body for almost a decade!

boost:

his tattoos would need their own fucking post, and some of them can be explained by comet and sinker's, so i'm just gonna hit a few.

dinosaur: sinker did this one!

"i'm here" star: comet did this tattoo! i'm gonna say maybe in high school.

lighter: "ni partayli gar darasuum" is mando'a for "i remember you, so you are eternal", which is part of the mandalorian death remembrance. this is a memorial for his parents. they died right before the pack started high school, and he was adopted by sinker's parents, who were already his godparents.

molotov cocktail: lyric from baby, i'm an anarchist by against me.

tic tac toe board: this is for sinker to play with when he's board. sometimes boost plays with him, sometimes comet.

gregor:

tallies: coric gives him a new one every time he does something stupidly risky that lands him in medical (which gregor generally just considers victory tallies, much to the medic's chagrin).

212: for his battalion!

bicep tattoo: foxtrot squad symbol framed by the words "jatnese be jatnese", mando'a for "best of the best". i'm gonna say his whole squad probably has this one!

Hey y’all! Meet our new Underwest characters!! And the au!

To introduce them: Underwest is a Wild West au! These monsters were never trapped behind a barrier, and lived in the deserts and plains of the surface along with humans. Conditions were harsh for every one, but they made do, creating a community of hardy resourceful monsters and humans alike!

Like the name suggests, this au is cowboy themed with a few twists! There are hardly any mammals from this au. The hot desert sun is too much for most furred critters, and certain animals like sheep, wolves and horses never evolved. But other animal species thrived! Namely the reptiles.

In Underwest there are three big domesticated animal groups: herding lizards, raptors and terror birds.

Herding lizards: there are dozens of breeds, but they’re all mostly the same. A six legged desert lizard raised for meat because of its passive nature and the fact that it can eat almost anything and survive off of little water

Raptors: domesticated and wild, not to be confused with the ancient dinosaurs. These are quadruple lizards as large as a horse with long thick legs and the energy to run for hours. They’re carnivorous and domesticated ones are used as herding animals and riding animals

Terror birds: MASSIVE carnivorous birds of prey with wingspans the size of cars. And the bane of every Underwest monster. They snatch up monsters, people and livestock and have crossed over into ebott after the crash as well. They can be tamed however by particularly skilled individuals and can even be taught to take a saddle and fly with riders.

The Underwest monsters don’t have royals as there was never a war between them and the humans in the past. Monsters and humans were divided into traveling family units, chasing water sources and only settling during rainy seasons. They’re believed to be closely related to the farm AUs due to many of the Underwest monsters having earth affinities.

Meet partner and rowdy!!

Partner (Underwest sans)

Partner is a stocky skeleton monster, aged 68 with soft lilac magic. He stands at 5’7 and has a strong thick muscular ecto that he worked hard to achieve. He has a bit of a gap between his front two teeth.

Partner is a very serious monster, he rarely smiles and hearing a laugh from him is like seeing gold fall out of the sky. If duty was a soul trait, he’d have it. He always keeps his promises, even if it kills him. While he can be grumpy and temperamental, he has a soft spot for the gentle and innocent, and is a good protector to any of his loved ones.

Partner works as the sheriff in Goldenvalley, hunting down criminals.as there’s only one police station and it’s a lot of land to cover, he works very hard at his job. On the side he also trains raptors for a bit of extra G.

He’s a very clever fighter which makes up for his rather average magic power. This is reflected in his magic weapon, a whip that when cracked, makes a loud booming noise to frighten. The whip itself doesn’t do much damage

His special ability is that he can see both up and forward. Like he has eyes on the top of his head. When he consciously thinks about it, partner can see the sky even though he may be looking down or forward.

Things he loves: leather goods and clothes, garlic, rustic belt buckles and hat accessories, artisan breads, hunting, telling campfire stories, horror novels, axe throwing, the color blue, clover flowers, country music (go figure)

Rowdy (Underwest papyrus)

Rowdy is a lanky skeleton monster aged 27 with baby blue magic. He has a think but trim ecto and is always covered in scrapes and bruises. He has a bit of a gap between his front two teeth

Rowdy is a cheerful, eager to please and clumsy fellow. He’s been rather sheltered by his mother for most of his life, so some things that may be common sense to most he hasn’t learned yet. He wears his heart on his sleeve and is a delight to be around with how affectionate he is. However he’s very gullible, making partner very protective of him.

Rowdy is partners apprentice, learning the art of training raptors. He’s not partners brother like the others but is actually his younger cousin. Their mothers were sisters. Rowdy only recently left home this last year and a half, so he’s a bit behind in the practical work compared to other monsters his age

Rowdy has very explosive magic which shows in his magical weapon, a boomerang that literally explodes on contact. Unfortunately if it doesn’t hit its target, ot explodes on him when it comes back. He’s working on fixing that

Rowdy’s special ability is double jump! When he’s in the air, he can kick off exactly once to get a second jump!

Things he loves: comedy podcasts and shows, parsnips, the color yellow, fun patterned bandanas, horseback riding, exploring new areas, pop music, line dancing, stew, orange blossoms

Side characters

Belle: the mother of rowdy and the aunt of partner, bell is a skeleton monster aged 400 exactly. Having lost her sister and husband before the crash due to sickness and a bad rain year, she was extremely protective of rowdy. Even after the crash she sheltered him, causing him to run in order to accept the apprenticeship partner offered. Partner and Belle had a huge fight over this and aren’t on speaking terms anymore

Robber: Underwest undyne, and despite the hilarious nickname, shes no criminal but is in fact another sheriff of Goldenvalley, and has a friendly rivalry with partner. She’s still new in her job and goes to him for pointers a lot as well.

Prairie: Underwest alphys, and partners closest friend. She breeds raptors and goes to him to train all of them. She owns a cute plot of land that she raises goats on as her primary source of income. Breeding raptors is a long and tedious job, definitely not something one can easily live off of.
