hello! i remember you mentioning that you enjoyed x-treme x-men a lot for alison, so i was wondering what are some of your favourite moments from there?
for me, it'd boil down to: ali's glam cowboy era, captain blaire, and the dinosaurs
Captain Blaire was good! I liked a lot of the places they went, and her supporting cast. I also enjoyed the many different ways she used her powers, and her functions on that team. Every bond she had there was so great!
I loved her pretending the 616 was an au. I loved the weird shit like the unicorns and the space whale. Oh, and never forget them stomping nazis! Dazzler: "I hate nazis!"
Great stuff. I wouldn't mind Greg Pak writing her again.

What irl disco singers do you think match her the best?
I honestly can't answer this as I have never listened to much disco. However, you can take pieces of Dazzler from many different popstars. I don't think any one singer defines her. I think everyone always has a different answer to this question.

Have you read much of the Outback era of X-men from the late 80’s? What do you think of the dazzler characterization by clairmont? I was not a fan, I feel like they boiled her down to “prissy pop star” and made her quite a rude person. I think Clairmont thoughts of dazzler is on full display when they made her pig in the mojoverse. Would love to hear your thoughts and opinions
I have read it all, yeah. Dislike a lot of that era due to how inexperienced they made her, the personality changes, and the relationship with Longshot. I know a lot of people enjoy it, but I found it to be quite toxic/weird. It is an iconic era, yeah, but certain parts of it will always bother me. Then she went into limbo sooo long after it. I hate Mojoworlf stuff because it really holds her back.
Chris just doesn't write Alison in a way I like, even in New Excalibur. Some may enjoy his take, but I thought it detered a lot from how she was in her solo. Even in her first appearance. He tends to portray her mostly in a negative light. She has flaws, don't get me wrong, but his take reallly emphasized them.
If I was doing a reread for only her, I would pick her solo over that uncanny run every time.

What’s Alison’s casual clothing like?
Depends on her mood! If she is feeling angry or depressed, she often expresses that in leather jackets, boots and wild hair. The rest of the time, however? She's trendy and modern. Alison loves vibrant colours and to stand out. She may be trendy, but she uses her taste in her own way. Miss Alison Blaire can be picked out in a crowd when she wants to be.

Do you have a list of her canon in-universe songs?
A Little Girl's Dream is from her first solo. It is my favourite one, honestly. Dazzler #21 will forever be my fave from her og series.
The Serpent is Coming, from Uncanny X-Men #503. She sang it while Pixie was a dancer for her.
Her new mini had a few songs as well. Rich Angel, being one. I can't really remember the other ones right now.
Canon is odd with her. Sometimes she is struggling to make it, other times she has all the hit songs. Often, they are not given titles. Usually she is just shown singing in the background.

The Australian Outback Era X-Men by Marc Silvestri and Dan Green
From Comics Scene Vol. 2 #1 (My scan)
I have never seen this artwork anywhere. Never in a reprint, never even online anywhere. As far as I know this is exclusive to just this magazine. It is such an amazing piece. My favorite X-Men team by my favorite X-Men art team rather blatantly depicting them as the Wild West Outlaw team Chris Claremont envisioned them as when they went Down Under.
