I agree that the Damn Skippy does need more love. I would top this album as one my most favorite LD albums of all time ngl- Just in general it's really a special album for me as dinosauchestra is. :)

A weird amount of lemon demon songs are about insanity or something similar to insanity, like obsession

dont believe me? here are a few examples

Man made object : A song about a guy who has visions of making massive stunning buildings but only during the night.

The machine : A song about a man who is so obsessed with making a machine that he throws away his entire life, only for the machine to get destroyed

Cabinet man : A song about a guy who was so obsessed with arcade machines that he became one then proceeded to drive a few kids insane and eat "the occasional maintenance man"

Touch tone telephone : Basically someone spiralling into insanity trying to prove that aliens exist

Action movie hero boy : A song about a young boy who is so obsessed with becoming like the cool dudes he sees on TV that he blows himself up

Lifetime achievement award : A song about mad scientists bringing Micheal Jackson back to life

Spiral of ants : Basically a song about ant insanity

Bill watterson : A song about a dude who stalks and obsesses over Bill Watterson and describes wanting to eat his heart and try his face on

Ode to crayola : Just an entire song about Crayola crayons and how much the writer loves them. "I'm gonna rise at dawn with no clothes on and colour all my skin"

And even in the lemon demon songs that arent comepletly about insanity, some lyrics do make you feel a bit like you or the writer is going insane

some good examples of this are Something Glowing, Ancient Aliens, No-Eyed Girl, The Sky Is Not Blue, The Only House Thats Not On Fire (Yet), Sundial, Modify, Bicycle, Gonna Dig Up Alec Guiness, Neverending Hum, heck i could go on forever. A lot of lemon demon songs have that kind of "The writer is slowly losing their sanity" feel
