thought of the day: the little medicine bottle on krupp’s bedroom dresser. that’s it, that’s the thought. like its such a particular background detail, especially considering that krupp’s house is extremely sparse to begin with.

maybe i'm assuming my own preferences are universal when they aren't but i feel like i often don't understand the floorplans of new build apartments

i get that the incentive is often to put as many units in one building as possible, so a lot are going to be small. but i feel like ESPECIALLY in a small apartment i would prefer a bedroom with a door that closed rather than a studio with the bed out in the open

also maybe this is because i'm unsophisticated and never eat at a table when eating alone but what's the point of a dinette space in an apartment that's maybe 500 square feet? is that really that high up on most people's list of housing requirements?
