My Rating: 5/10

My reasoning:

Okay, hear me out, I do like this show. I know I gave it a low middle rating though. I have my reasons though. It is a very short show running only about 7 minutes long. That means there isn't time for like actual plot or story, it's mostly just shenanigans; which is entertaining to an extent. Sometimes, it is nice to just watch something that you don't have to think about too much or use brain power to understand. I'm not super fond of really short shows though, it feels more like tiktoks that way. [I guess tiktok has always kinda been around haha just in a different way, if you think about it.]

I also vaguely remember this show having a lot more controversial material, but I could be remembering that wrong.

Either way, I think you should check it out for yourself and maybe you will enjoy it. If nothing else it's a nice little entertaining rest for your brain for a few minutes. Especially if you have a short attention span.

Imagine this interesting little exercise with the Divin' Wolf Pups as part of the Three Wolves' diving vacations

As part of a special appearance at a summer camp for wayward and unfortunate youth, Loopy de Loop's rather snarky nephew Bon-Bon and Hokey's boon companion Ding-a-Ling work out an exercise in diving skills with camp management whereby they toss into the lake a sealed-up piece of PVC pipe with fluorescent orange and lime-green tape for the campers to search for during diving practice (even if such is more or less the breath-hold type of dive) ... with the prize being an autographed volume of the Divin Wolf Pups' musings about diving and some cowry shell anklets.

A most unlikely spot for a diving escapade known!

Related to our little party, ursine and otherwise, by Crazy Claws "himself" beside the waters of Artificial Lake Delton on a mild autumn day practically coincident with the teachers' convention breaks in Minnesota and Wisconsin as can send a lot of fall-colour and otherwise business to the Dells, even if the waterparks at that time are the indoor sort:

"For some reason, the Three Wolves, that lupine diving trio of Loopy De Loop, Hokey Wolf and Mildew Wolf--and the Divin' Wolf Pups of Bon-Bon and Ding-a-Ling--decided to spend a day this past summer at no less than that new and all-natural waterpark, Land of Natura. You know, that place with the naturally-filtered lake which the park boasts of being the largest naturally-filtered man-made swimming area in the world, for one ... and if you can believe it, the lupine crew was able to rent a floating cabana for the sake of making the experience a little more interesting, if not in the same vein as Cleopatra--or trying not to be.

"And one particular feature distractive at the water play area happens to be the Snorkelling Cavern, a man-made snorkelling area between a man-made island set aside as an ur-cabana and some barrier rocks jutting from that island ... which was of especial fascination to those Divin' Wolf Pups; you have to hand it to them for making the dive experience especially interesting to the kids, yet without being too 'educational' in the process. At any rate, Bon-Bon and Ding-a-Ling decided to dive into as much the lake as the Snorkelling Cavern (and just be thankful it's not that silly bog-snorkelling thing out in Wales I've read so much about), recording it on those Go-Pro cameras mounted as headbands.

"The day, mind you, was slightly hazy though not overcast, making the contrast of the skies look rather well-balanced. And even if it was just a mask and fins that the pups wore, not to mention the proverbial smile, they just took to the Land of Natura's Snorkelling Cavern with serious relish, and not the hot dog sort! Such a relish, to be honest about it, that managed to find the pair rather surprised to be swimming above a mostly squishy-looking bottom which certainly stirred up the game bird wastes at the bottom. And as if that weren't enough, the lupine pups couldn't resist finding a smart watch which had somehow slipped out of the water by a previous diver type in the Snorkelling Cavern; honesty being the best policy, even if Hokey is something of a scammer to heart, led Bon-Bon and Ding to hand it over to a ranger, hoping such would be returned unto its owner--even if it was likely to be damaged by such submersive time, as Mildew Wolf would be bound to put it with that snarky tone of humour he's fond of!

"Afterward, a major share platter of chicken and beef fajitas all around and--I just can't wait to share the ensuing video!"

"If we could certainly have a chance to see it," Huckleberry remarked.

And setting up an iPad in video player mode, Crazy Claws got the Divin Wolf Pups' video rolling, revealing a somewhat brownish, but not so much brackish, underwater scene. You could sense the Go-Pro camera having an effect not unlike the diver's mask, just sensing the grains of the sandy-type lake bottom, occasional tadpole colonies darting about on the lupine approach. And what a cool cleanness to be found, I have to say ...

"Though I have to admit," as Hair Bear remarked during the video, "we bears just cannot help but find diving something of a fascinating pastime ourselves ... especially around sunrise, recovering from our orgies during the bear mating season!"

To which Square Bear chimed in, "Though we do have some diving time in the afternoons before the orgy as well! Boy, can it feel oh so refreshing on a muggy afternoon!"

"Though, on the other hand," Crazy Claws chimed in, reflecting on the afternoon, "nothing could feel more autumnally perfect and refined than sharing some experiences from the Divin' Wolf Pups in diving a perfectly natural waterpark experience not many other waterparks can boast of!"

After an interesting show of breath-hold diving with the Divin' Wolf Pups

DING-A-LING, more or less the "alpha male" of the juvenile lupine divers: Yeahhhh ... just the sheer sensation of relaxing in sheer weightlessness, just sensing our "inner sea wolf" coming out like it did! BON-BON, Loopy De Loop's nephew, trying not to get all too cheeky over it: If you ask me, Ding, how are we to perhaps explain this experience to some group of middle-school students without arousing suspicions to begin with? DING-A-LING: Is it any wonder we manage to come up with creative ways to express our underwater experiences as we do?

Following an interesting diving experience such as Ding-a-Ling had with Harmony Wolf, wearing but themselves all along

HARMONY WOLF, ever the fascinating one underwater and then some: I'd just have to say there, Ding ... that dive we just had couldn't have felt more fascinating! DING-A-LING, trying not to be too cheeky here: Though I do have to admit things felt especially interesting between my legs! HARMONY WOLF, chuckling at the observation: It's bound to happen to the best of us sometimes ... DING-A-LING: Have you ever met Peter Potamus? He's certain to share plenty of diving-related adventures with you! HARMONY WOLF, deep in thought: I believe I've met him on occasion, and you can just IMAGINE the thigh-slappers of diving experiences such as he can relate! But back to our dive just now ... nothing could have felt more wondrous there, Ding, leading you like I did into an experience like no other! DING-A-LING: And what an interesting time we experienced on the lake bottom, with the sun streaming through like it did.... HARMONY WOLF: Now honestly, Ding ... didn't it feel so cute the way we hugged each other underwater like we did on the lake bottom? DING-A-LING: It was certainly true love! [And both must be blushing at the revelation!!]

Somehow, Loopy De Loop and Hokey Wolf couldn't be prouder about their young lupine companions, Bon-Bon and Ding-a-Ling, respectively

Particularly when you consider their shared fondness for diving in the face of their obvious extreme youth. And especially so SCUBA as much as breathhold.

But for some reason, the Divin' Wolf Pups (as Bon-Bon and Ding prefer calling themselves in the collective) can't resist the sheer thrill of the diving experience, even allowing for their mentors being fond of diving as well. Be it finding a few fish for the evening's fish fry, an underwater treasure hunt or Hokey's girlfriend, Harmony Wolf, teaching the boys some interesting "facts of life" approaches underwater, you can't resist them Divin' Wolf Pups....

Over breakfast with as much the Divin' Wolf Pups as the Peter Potamus Magic Divers at a diver's camp session

DING-A-LING, displaying a rather soaked wallet found while he and Bon-Bon were in their pre-breakfast diving session: Can you certainly imagine the discoveries to be made underwater--and they don't have to be overdone sunken treasure? [The wallet, it turns out, contains a rather substantial amount of cash, credit cards and other personal identification, as revealed for all to see] HOKEY WOLF, in such exuberance as he's fond of displaying: That is my Ding for you!! PETER POTAMUS, leader of the crew: Still, though, it might not be a bad idea trying to locate the original owners of said wallet; Common Sense dictates as much! MILDEW WOLF, with his usual snark: And you wonder if Common Sense exists among divers coming up with submerged wallets, let alone the proverbial honour among thieves!

Following a morning's pre-breakfast diving session with the Divin' Wolf Pups in some northern Minnesota lake

[As our scene opens, we find Bon-Bon, nephew of Loopy DeLoop, and Ding-a-Ling, the sidekick and compadre of Hokey Wolf, emerging out of the clean coolness of the lake's waters, feeling refreshed in a way there from such enchantment underwater ...] DING-A-LING, ever the excitable one: Geez, Bon-Bon, doesn't a pre-breakfast dive seem rather fascinating when all is said and done? BON-BON, trying not to get too ahead of himself: But then again, who exactly was that merwolf we encountered as we were descending? DING-A-LING, stunned in a way: WHAT merwolf exactly, Bon-Bon? [Whereupon, coming up from behind--] HARMONY WOLF, more or less a romantic interest for The Three Wolves as much as a mentor for the pups, more or less weating but herself: Might it surprise you to learn where I was that merwolf you were talking about? BOTH THE PUPS, in stunned and sheer disbelief: HARMONY WOLF--?!! HARMONY WOLF, chuckling at the remark: Even allowing for the mermaid costime, I thought you might like a little surprise in the dive this morning.... DING-A-LING: Which, I have to admit, is probably something not even my Hokey would believe over the breakfast table! BON-BON: But at least it certainly opened my eyes to such a crazy and fascinating sight as the merwolf--! HARMONY WOLF, with a somewhat bubbly undertone to her voice: Come to think of it--THIS gal might have some interesting lessons to share as a merwolf as the summer goes along! Won't they be interesting? BON-BON, somewhat dumbfounded: I can hardly wonder how far this will go, or even whether Uncle Loopy would approve.... [You can guess how the detail comes out over breakfast]

Girlfriends and the Peter Potamus Magic Divers

It just so happens that there's a few members of the Magic Divers who have girlfriends along for as much romantic interest as sharing the dive experience--and Peter Potamus doesn't seem to mind. As in:

Harmony Wolf being the shared romantic and dive interest of The Three Wolves (Loopy De Loop, Hokey Wolf and Mildew Wolf); and

Breezly Bruin's own amour, Betty Bruin.

Such are technically considered "in relationships" more than anything, and quite often join along with the dive experience. And who could blame them for having such diving-type prowess underwater as much as the romantic sort?

Preparing for a dive session with the Divin' Wolf Pups (Bon-Bon and Ding-a-Ling, know)

BON-BON, Loopy De Loop's cheeky nephew: Uh, Ding--before we head into the water, were you ever asked by Peter Potamus about how you'd react if you saw a mermaid in the water while diving? DING-A-LING, boon companion of Hokey Wolf: I believe so, Bon-Bon, over a campfire once during a dive camp up in northern Minnesota, I believe. My response was just simply playing along with her desires. BON-BON: Even if they tended to the sexual? DING-A-LING: How else would I be able to appease a mermaid approaching me in such a manner? BON-BON: I admit that I was asked that question once, and was hard-pressed, as it were, to come up with a likely answer. Or so it seemed. DING-A-LING: So how did you answer? BON-BON: How else, but as my uncle Loopy suggested, just follow your feelings with the mermaid, knowing all the while that you seek to defy lupine stereotypes about our kind being somehow vicious and bloodthirsty! [Short pause] Shall we head in for the dive? [You can imagine the rest]

Given the inevitability that someone in the Peanut Gallery is likely to ask the pair of Bon-Bon (Loopy De Loop's nephew) and Ding-a-Ling (boon companion of Hokey Wolf) what was perhaps their single most unforgettable dive (think Reader's Digest here) at their personal appearances such as school assemblies and community youth clubs, perhaps their personal appearance message will doubtless be one devoted entitely to said Most Unforgettable Dive.
