Title: Drak Pack
Episodes: 16
Run Time: 30 Mins
Original Air Date: September 6 - December 20, 1980
Synopsis:
The series centers on three young men: Drak Jr., Frankie and Howler, descendants of Count Dracula, the Frankenstein monster, and the Wolf Man. To atone for their ancestors' wrongdoings, the three, united as the Drak Pack, became superheroes.
They appear initially as normal humans. But whenever trouble arises, they strike their right hands together and shout "Wacko!" This is called the Drak Whack. They then transform into a vampire, a Frankenstein monster, and a werewolf.
Their principal mode of transport is an amphibious flying car which they called "the Drakster".
The Drak Pack's principal opponent is Dr. Dred, a blue-skinned evil genius. His evil organization O.G.R.E. ("The Organization of Generally Rotten Enterprises" or "Endeavours") includes Toad, Fly, Mummyman, and Vampira.
When the Drak Pack needs counsel, they go to Drak's great-great-uncle Count Dracula, known to the team as "Big D".
My Rating: 7/10
My Reasoning: I do love a good Halloween-themed show. I'm not overly fond of these characters though. They can be a bit annoying. I also don't particularly like Dracula's character. It's not a bad show though. It's decently interesting and enjoyable enough. It's not in the top picks of mine but it also is not in the bottom of my cartoons list. I think you should at least check it out for yourself.

Title: Hokey Wolf
Seasons: 3
Episodes: 28
Run Time: 7 mins
Original Air Date: September 11, 1960 - December 1, 1961
Synopsis: [This was a segment in the Huckleberry Hound show]
The shorts follows the everyday misadventures of its protagonist, Hokey Wolf, and his small companion Ding-A-Ling Wolf, through their typical con-artist routines of getting what they need in their daily lives. Hokey would usually try to fool different characters with food-stealing schemes and/or find a place to stay without cost, only for most of these tricks to backfire on him in one way or another.
My Rating: 5/10
My reasoning:
Okay, hear me out, I do like this show. I know I gave it a low middle rating though. I have my reasons though. It is a very short show running only about 7 minutes long. That means there isn't time for like actual plot or story, it's mostly just shenanigans; which is entertaining to an extent. Sometimes, it is nice to just watch something that you don't have to think about too much or use brain power to understand. I'm not super fond of really short shows though, it feels more like tiktoks that way. [I guess tiktok has always kinda been around haha just in a different way, if you think about it.]
I also vaguely remember this show having a lot more controversial material, but I could be remembering that wrong.
Either way, I think you should check it out for yourself and maybe you will enjoy it. If nothing else it's a nice little entertaining rest for your brain for a few minutes. Especially if you have a short attention span.

It kind of is! There's plenty of Digimon without guns in their designs (the majority, actually), but there's so many that I can't list them all. Here's a good few examples, though!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's more Digimon with blades, though. You'd be amazed at how many of these fellas have swords, axes, spears, claws, and various sharp objects I can't even name.
Also, off topic but an honorable mention, there is a train digimon... like it's literally a train. I love these stupid creatures so much it's unreal.

hey wait. so if you grow up as an only child or with siblings who like the same tv as you how do you learn tolerance?
#that football poll really made me reflect on how much tv i've had on in the background that was just absolute white noise to me#altho back when we were all younger there were more tvs in the house. mostly small ones#there was one i remember vividly that was like only a foot wide. it sometimes moved around#it had a vcr player in the bottom#i so clearly remember watching lizzie mcguire on it while discovering if you smash a marker youre coloring w#all the ink comes out at once. but then youre left wo it being pointy at the end#and that tv could be moved around. i remember watching shrek on it in my mudroom once lol#i also remember watching whose line is it anyway and not understanding improv but just seeing the men sit in chairs#and stand up and just looking at the colorful background. it was somehow still entertaining to me i dont remember AT ALL why#tales from diana#one thing that is somewhat understandable to me from what i understand about childhood entertainment in the streaming era#is that children THANK GOD still seem to fight w their siblings about what to watch on tv#they just dont even say 'on tv' they say 'on disney plus'#it shouldnt feel so strange to me but i just cant imagine coming home from school and selecting something from a list of programs#and then watching that in full without commercials. i'm like what. that's not tv#you're supposed to get home in the middle of an episode of spongebob that they play twice a week and quote along w it like karaoke#youre supposed to argue and flip back and forth one thing and another when one turns to a commercial break#THATS AMERICA!!!!!

ooooh apparently the pjo show is out? or is it just the first episode? i'm not sure but. hm!!
#shrimp thoughts#once again i fail at being a human being because i first read a pjo book in HIGH SCHOOL yes high school#a friend i'm no longer in contact with lend me their books and i Ate them all up in like a week or so#and then i got so into it that i 1. got an english version of hoh online and 2. pre-ordered the polish version that iirc arrived before the#official premiere... so i read it quickly and passed it on to them and one other classmate i think? lol#i remember i had a fondness for octavian. funny little guy#now that i think about it... i don't... really... have any 'childhood series' that i'd get super nostalgic over if they got a tv show/remak#or wtv. i could read when the... 2nd? hp movie came out but for some reason i didn't like the Vibes (i only got into hp after i accidentall#caught the poa movie on my father's tv in 4th grade and at that point i think the book series was already over)#i was also into the witch comics and in ~2006 i think i got into manga and anime#but only specific series and back then it wasn't as easy for me to watch them in the first place so i can't relate to naruto kids either#when i started jpn studies everyone was an expert on the most popular shows and i... Was Not#tl;dr yea i have no idea what the fuck is wrong with me either. anyway i'd say i want to give the show a try sometime but unfortunately#the only way to get me to watch a show it to invite me over and put it on. otherwise it's 'oh yeah i'll add it to my list' city. forever.#(there's no list)

the weirdest part about growing up is finding out that british comedy actors are all in the same few things together and then googling an actor from a show you’re watching and they along with like five others were in your favourite childhood tv shows. its wild

120/?? Childhood TV Shows You Should Watch
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Title: Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo
[Note: Yes I made a post about this already however, the post was about the 1979 series. This is the 1980s series which has its own separate wiki page. It was redone and reformatted and there were a lot of changes. The most prominent is that the rest of the gang is fully taken out not just given a smaller role.]
Seasons: 3
Episodes: 33 (99 shorts)
Original Air Date: November 8, 1980 - December 18, 1982
Synopsis: The original format of four teenagers and their dog( solving faux-supernatural mysteries for a half-hour was eschewed for simpler, more comedic adventures that involved real supernatural villains. 33 half-hour episodes, including three 7-minute shorts, were produced over three seasons, from 1980 to 1982 on ABC. Thirteen episodes were produced for the 1980–81 season, and seven more for the 1981–82 as segments of The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show. The remaining thirteen episodes were produced as segments of The Scooby & Scrappy-Doo/Puppy Hour for the 1982–83 season. Out of the 99 shorts, 86 of them feature Scooby-Doo, his nephew Scrappy-Doo, and Shaggy without the rest of the Mystery Inc. gang, and the other 13 only feature Scrappy-Doo and Yabba-Doo.
My Rating: 8/10
I really love Scrappy-Doo and I stand by that. However, I miss having all the rest of the gang with them. I also don't like the shorter 7-minute episodes. I prefer longer Scooby-Doo episodes. That being said, I still really enjoy this series and I still watch it. I think you should give it a chance. Even if you don't like Scrappy-Doo, I think you will learn to love him if you really give him a chance.
