The multinationals did very well out of covid now didn’t they. Small business collapse and bankruptcy and closures continue to roll out.
Whistle blowers all over the north of Ontario have told me that small businesses in small towns in every direction are being transferred to Sikh. Are they the patsy for the ruling elite? Are they getting massive grants? Is that what Jagmeet Singh gets for his cooperation? Maserati Marxist is what they are calling him.
The transfer of small businesses I am told happened in BC and is ongoing in Saskatchewan. Is the transferee the same ethnicity? Personally I doubt it. It doesn’t matter who the business falls to. They become the patsy for the governing elite. Likely they universally come for a better life and are trying their utmost to integrate and have that better life. This is my assumption. Most are useful idiots, because the globalists ultimately don’t find it necessary to explain the how, once the karmic warning takes place.
I am from the north. Let me tell you how it works, in case you are a city boy or lady. Families know each other for generations. Your kids go to school with people who’s parents and grand parents and great grand parents went to school together. We know each other by the truck we drive. The links are long and they matter.
Now we see untold scales of small businesses transfer hand. I think this is a necessity for rolling out CBDC.
When the financial system changes from what we know and understand to CBDC and digital ID there will be mad chaos.
They want to turn it on when the smart city is up. When the cameras are all the street lights (look up). When they can read your licence plate. They can. When all highways have barbed wire fences along side them. (in the North- to keep the animals out- or the people in). When electrification and smart meters mean you need the mark to get your heat, energy or electricity.
When they’ve trained your new civil authority through the instant immigrants.

Shortwave Radiogram, 1-7 August 2024 (program 364): Digital modes created without photosynthesis
Not many of us are awake for the "red-eye" edition of Shortwave Radiogram Mondays at 0800-0830 UTC (4:00 am EDT) on 5850 kHz. I was awake this past Monday (29 July), when I heard the WRMI station ID at 0800 UTC. Then silence. After about minute WRMI's filler music (an interesting, eclectic mix) started. WRMI responded to my email, but I don't think they ever found out what happened. All the other transmissions of program 363 on WRMI (and WINB) were broadcast as scheduled. Here in northern Virginia, it's still hot. We're on track to experience the most days per summer above 90F/32C. And there is the humidity and the drought. At least I'm retired now and no longer must cope with cars on the Washington Metro (subway) with broken air conditioning. That made for an interesting evening commute. A video of last week's Shortwave Radiogram (program 363) is provided by Scott in Ontario (Wednesday 1330 UTC). The audio archive is maintained by Mark in the UK. Analysis is provided by Roger in Germany. Here is the lineup for Shortwave Radiogram, program 364, 1-7 August 2024, in MFSK modes as noted: 1:44 MFSK32: Program preview 2:52 MFSK32: Plans for world-first space-based energy grid 6:28 MFSK64: 'Dark oxygen' created without photosynthesis? 9:33 MFSK64: This week's images 28:34 MFSK32: Closing announcements Please send reception reports to [email protected] And visit http://swradiogram.net Twitter: @SWRadiogram or https://twitter.com/swradiogram (visit during the weekend to see listeners’ results) Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/567099476753304 Shortwave Radiogram Gateway Wiki: https://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/Shortwave_Radiogram_Gateway

Introduction: How to Save Money as an International Student in Canada
Canada is a popular destination for international students, not only because of its high-quality education but also for the variety of discounts and deals available to help students save money. From grocery shopping to software subscriptions, there are numerous ways international students can stretch their budgets while studying in Canada.
As a student navigating life in Canada, you may want to look into student discounts on essentials such as food, software, and even travel. Additionally, resources like Wave Immigration Consultants can help you through the Canada Immigration process, so you can focus on your studies and savings. In this guide, we’ll walk you through some of the best student discounts available across the country, with specific focus on discounts offered by major retailers and service providers.

No Frills
Type of Store: Budget grocery store

How It Works: Present the competitor’s advertisement during the effective date, and No Frills will match the price.

Giant Tiger

Microsoft
Discount: Free access to Microsoft Teams and 50% off Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)

Who is best Network Security service provider in Ontario Canada
In today's interconnected world, ensuring robust network security is paramount for businesses of all sizes. With cyber threats constantly evolving, it becomes imperative for organizations to partner with reliable and innovative network security service providers. In Ontario, Canada, SOLNET CANADA stands out as the undisputed leader in delivering cutting-edge firewall and network security solutions. This blog will delve into the various aspects that make SOLNET CANADA the best network security service provider in the region.
Firewall and Network Security Expertise
We boast a proven track record of providing top-notch firewall and network security services. Their team of skilled professionals possesses a deep understanding of the latest industry trends and best practices. From designing and implementing secure internet architectures to deploying robust firewall security systems, we excel in fortifying networks against potential threats.
Zero Trust Architecture
In an era where traditional security approaches are no longer sufficient, we embraces the Zero Trust model. This innovative framework operates under the premise of "never trust, always verify." By continuously authenticating users and devices, we ensure that only authorized entities gain access to the network. This comprehensive security posture minimizes the risk of unauthorized breaches and elevates the overall protection of critical assets.
Comprehensive Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS)
We advanced IDS and IPS solutions are at the forefront of safeguarding networks from malicious activities. These systems constantly monitor network traffic, analyzing it for any signs of suspicious behavior. In the event of a potential threat, the IDS identifies it promptly, while the IPS acts proactively to block and mitigate the risk, ensuring the network remains secure.
Network Segmentation and Micro Segmentation
One of our key strengths lies in its expertise in network segmentation. By dividing the network into separate zones, access controls are better managed, limiting potential lateral movement by threat actors. Furthermore, the implementation of micro-segmentation adds an extra layer of security, preventing unauthorized access to critical assets and data.
PrismaCloud Integration
We leverage cutting-edge technologies like PrismaCloud to offer comprehensive cloud security solutions. As businesses increasingly adopt cloud-based infrastructures, ensuring the safety of data and applications hosted in the cloud becomes paramount. PrismaCloud provides advanced visibility, compliance monitoring, and threat detection across multi-cloud environments, empowering organizations to maintain a robust security posture.
NordLayer VPN Integration
In a world where remote work has become the norm, secure remote access is of utmost importance. We integrates NordLayer's Virtual Private Network (VPN) solution into their network security services, ensuring employees can securely access the company's resources from any location. This VPN encryption guarantees data confidentiality and privacy, minimizing the risk of unauthorized access to sensitive information.
Conclusion
In conclusion, SOLNET CANADA emerges as the unrivaled leader among network security service providers in Ontario, Canada. Their dedication to innovation, commitment to adopting cutting-edge technologies like Zero Trust architecture, PrismaCloud, and NordLayer VPN, as well as their focus on comprehensive firewall and network security, set them apart from the competition. Businesses seeking the highest level of protection for their networks can confidently rely on SOLNET CANADA to fortify their digital assets against the ever-evolving threat landscape. With SOLNET CANADA as their trusted partner, organizations can navigate the digital landscape with confidence and peace of mind.

seriously there were four basic platforms that the minor parties were running that year, in order of prevalence:
Anti-vax, end the mask mandates, doug ford (conservative premier) is secretly best friends with justin trudea (liberal prime minister) and they are plotting to force you to use a digital ID card and have a vaccine passport.
Fascism, we hate trans people and think the conservative government is too secular despite having a large religious wing. Also end the mask mandates, vaccines are evil.
Regionalism or special interest: we want northern ontario to be independent. we want more ABA for our autistic children.
Election reform. Please, Trudeau promised use this six years ago, can we stop using first past the post already?
There was also this one weird party called the 'moderate party', which advocated for 'moderate democracy', an ideology that was never explained. They hate social democracy, which they think was invented in Athens to destroy the Persians, and they say it is associated with "Urban life style, Sport[sic], Feminism, Cosmetics, Military Conscription, Discipline, Loneliness, Gambling, and Corruption". I'm not sure they had a good grasp of what social democracy is. It seemed to be run entirely by some eastern european guy. No clue what was up with that.
i've been looking at registered party websites from the 2022 ontario provincial elections. behold! grumpy antivaxxer!

Shortwave Radiogram, 10-13 February 2023: Digital modes that reach all 92 of Jupiter’s moons
As I type this, it's warm (65F/18C) here in northern Virginia. The cold weather will return, and it would be nice to see some snow before winter is over. The spring-like weather is a reminder that seasonal changes to propagation are also in store. And add to that recent solar activity. Tune in to see how shortwave reception is affected. A video of last weekend's Shortwave Radiogram (program 290) is provided by Scott in Ontario (Friday 1300 UTC). The audio archive is maintained by Mark in the UK. How often do trans people need to change the picture on their IDs? I'm sure it may be different per person but I don't even have any range idea or what's mire common so I like can't really figure out for my character. BTW I live somewhere where surgery is required so unfortunately most trans people have the wrong gender listed.
I change the picture on my ID whenever the government tells me to. It's not really different for me than it is for cis people. I know a lot of trans people that have outdated IDs and hate having to show them for this reason, but you can't usually choose to get your ID photo changed before the government lets you here.
I'm not sure if things are different elsewhere.
- mod nat
Edit: Some folks in the replies have explained how this works where they live. I’d look into the specific setting your story takes place in.
Where I live, fibbing about your ID being lost/stolen doesn’t give you the opportunity to replace the photo, since it’s all digitized and they keep the photo on file. I have been able to replace student IDs or bus pass photos through this method (... I did not lose those things on purpose though), but nothing through the government of Ontario. You can indeed use your own photo for Ontario gov’t IDs, but I think it’s usually the case that you’d upload it online, and there are a lot of different criteria you need to fulfill for it.
I wouldn’t try "losing” my passport on purpose (and think most people wouldn’t, but I may be wrong) because I think there’s a lot more legal hullabaloo if you lose one of those, and it’s outrageously expensive. I know you can renew your passport pre-expiry in some places, with the renewal being cheaper. I’m not sure where all has rules about when it is you can do that, but it’s something someone could probably do if they really wanted to. It might throw safety up in the air a bit though, if the photo and gender marker are something cis border patrol aren’t prepared for. (I’ve usually been fine, but I’ve generally been clocked as a cis woman when doing crossings, and I’m white.)

Sidewalk Labs' quiet plan for Canada's banks to manage a national digital ID for health care and housing
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/72a281d545f5b4db4366a6a52f23b851/91f70c8b5cfddf40-fc/s540x810/5c73f45bc391ea35ee6e782ae57a5e9fa7c6708b.jpg)
[I'm delighted to welcome Lilian Radovac back for another excellent piece on the digital surveillance shenanigans in Canada, which aren't always as showy as their stateside counterparts, but are every bit as worrying. In this piece, Radovac reveals the buried plan for a finance-sector managed, all-surveilling National ID card buried in the latest massive wedge of largely unread documents from Google spin-out Sidewalk Labs (previously) that is building a controversial, privatised city-within-a-city in Toronto -Cory]
In Sidewalk Toronto news, Sidewalk Labs has finally released its Master Innovation and Development Plan Digital Innovation Appendix. As with the 1,524 page MIDP before it, there's a lot to read in the DIA but a few excerpts already stand out.
To start, the Appendix has an appendix called the Quayside Digitally Enabled Services List, which compiles the services that Sidewalk Labs wants to buy or build for the development. Number 48 on that list is an entry for “Distributed Digital Identity Credentials," or Digital IDs, which it says it will purchase from a third party. Distributed credentials were mentioned in the MIDP but despite its length that document didn't provide much in the way of detail. There are more clues in this one and, if the Globe and Mail's recent exposé of the company's "Yellow Book" freaked you out, you probably won't find them reassuring.
The services list states that Digital IDs will provide "interoperable access to public and private services through a unified delivery mechanism," and specifically mentions "income verification" for affordable housing alongside things like parcel delivery and transit payment. This suggests that people who are eligible for the small number of below-market-rate units in the development would have to register for a Sidewalk authorized Digital ID to apply for them.
Since Sidewalk Labs will buy rather than build the Digital ID system, it looks to a range of prototypes—and potential third party vendors—for inspiration. For example, on p. 458 of the DIA proper, under a subheading for "Multi-sector collaboration across Canada," there's a link to a 2018 white paper by the Canadian Bankers Association. A section titled "Harnessing the Power of the Private Sector” starts with this paragraph:
Canada’s highly developed private sector can create an effective and innovative digital ID system without the cost and risk of building a large, centralized system from scratch. Currently Canada’s identification model is decentralized, with isolated systems holding different attributes of an individual’s identity. In Ontario, for example, the Ministry of Health issues health cards, the Ministry of Transportation issues driver’s license and banks and other financial institutions manage an individual’s financial information. Yet, there is no linkage or connection between these separate attributes of data to be able to identify someone.
It gets worse. The DIA also cites this 2018 pamphlet by Interac Corp., the recently restructured consortium of banks that created the Canadian debit card payment system. Note that the DIA claims that Interac Corp. is already providing services for health care and immigration, although this isn't actually the case. But they would like to.

The gist? A private sector incursion into public service administration, a whole lot of pearl-clutching about health care fraud, and this:
[A] digital identity system that works for health care should also be designed to work equally well for all other government services. We’ll take a close look at some of these service categories in upcoming white papers.
Sidewalk Labs wants us to think their plan is a Canadian version of DECODE and that Toronto is the new Barcelona. They're not. This actually looks a lot like the infrastructure for a national digital austerity program premised on an inflated fear of abuse rather than the improvement of health and social services. That the DIA release came less than 48 hours after the Project Nightingale leak and the Conservative government's announcement of a new Ontario Digital Health Strategy is also interesting timing, to say the least.
Torontonians aren't a particularly expressive bunch but we really, really like our public health care system. The Big Banks? Well, not so much. And while we do enjoy using our debit cards, I'm fairly certain that most of us don't want the financial sector anywhere near our doctor's offices or other social service providers, smart city or no. Let's hope the Waterfront Toronto Digital Strategy Advisory Panel makes this clear when it reports on the DIA in February.
