Made my very own fake digimon last night since I’ve been having a low-key digirenaissance for the past few months, Intended to be a digi-egg of reliability evolution for my absolutely favorite digimon, Demidevimon! I’m sure it can be a decent edgy champion stage for some of the more marine-flavored digimon like otamamon as well, though

I was originally gonna call them Lancetmon since the Lancet Fish was my first point of inspiration for how this guy looked, but I think it lost all the lancetfish inspiration in favor of another deep sea fish called the dragon fish so I’m kinda lost for any other names at the moment.

Styxmon brought me to the digital world: Iliad where we found Patamon X who escaped to the Iliad server from King Drasil

Patamon X acts as a carrier for the X-Program as well as having the X-antibody. The Olympos XII chase us to destroy patamon X because of this. Due to carrying the X-program patamon X is unable to normally digivolve and can only with the help of digi-eggs. Patamon X -> Rhinomon X (miracles), Pegasmon X (hope), Mantaraymon X (reliability).

Okay i straight got ready for bed but now I must hop back on the computer because I have thoughts in my brain

Namely thoughts of the “wait a second you could totally crossover Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles with Digimon, I mean technically you could do it with anything but come on, Digimon” variety, because I’m sure you’ve met me

And of course the obvious choice is to place it after the main series, when things are calmer and you don’t have to figure out how the fuck to change shit to accommodate digis without completely destroying the story

“But Achi, they couldn’t keep the cool bond things from the first world so-” No. Because those fuckers were specifically exclusive to one country and one world and were actual gods. Digimon have already been established as spirits that exist even without computers and shit and could, theoretically, exist in every world. This would involve our heroes just ending up in one of the ones where you can actually bond with one instead of one of the ones where they just exist as a result of our hopes and dreams and nebulous shit like that. Could totally keep the digis

But then, you get the other option, which is to place it during the main series, which would allow for things like the clones getting their own digimon partners and all the support and full personhood that implies despite them being ‘just images’ which would be amazing. Let’s see Reed respond to that

(Please picture Acid Tokyo but our main lot have digimon. Please picture Syaoran’s own digimon fighting him after he goes full ‘clone on a mission’ in order to protect Fai and his digi. They don’t know what’s going on or why he’s suddenly acting like this but they know he would regret what he’s trying to do and so they do their best to stop him. I’m picturing him managing to kill his own digi in the process before Syaoran .5 can sweep in and get involved. The others end up taking care of their egg for the next while, eventually leaving them in the care of probably Yuuko while Big Plot Stuff happens. Tiny baby digi insists on joining the ‘wander the multiverse’ crew after everything is said and done so they can get a body for their partner. Sakura’s digi ends up staying in Clow to watch over the other Sakura, since the kids don’t have digis of their own)

Also Fai’s first curse gets triggered so much sooner! Because he’s powerful as hell but they hit a Digital World and the first mega they come across sets his ‘kill a bitch’ curse going like a smoke detector at a barbeque

And guys pls, pls imagine the Ceres arc, but it ends so much differently because Fai’s digi digivolves- powered by Fai’s love of literally everybody present and all the shit going on with his emotions, possible even dark-digivolved as a result of them- and offs Ashura and the second curse just goes completely fucking haywire because it has no idea what do do with that. Because Fai didn’t kill him so must activate but Fai’s digimon partner did while powered by Fai’s emotions so, maybe activate? And it’s just even more chaos.

Y’all crests could be a thing

Sakura is Kindness of course, that’s her whole thing. Syaoran and Fai get Love because have these two ever made a decision in their lives that wasn’t in some way tied to their love of another person? Mokona gets Sincerity (of course Mokona gets a crest and a digimon partner who is obviously many times larger than her why would you ever think otherwise?) because look at her she’s either Sincerity or Light. And Kurogane I kinda wanna say Reliability but Sincerity may also work here.

I don’t know what partners they would get but I know it would be wonderful

Sakura realizes she’s a clone and gets all depressed and her partner just isn’t having any of it.

“It doesn’t matter if you were made or born or hatched or programmed! You’re my Sakura, and always will be!”

Kurogane’s partner first reaches a serious level during the Ceres arc same as Fai’s, except theirs is while they’re saving everybody from the curse gone haywire and possibly Fai’s partner also gone haywire (and gods can you picture his reaction to his digimon being the one to dark digivolve? ‘cursed twin’ shit all over again...)

Syaoran’s never reaches a high stage in the page because 1) they spend a lot of time dead or an infant, and 2) even when they are reunited eventually their bond needs to be repaired before it’s possible

I have... Thoughts i wish to pour from my head

I fucking love digimon adventures. the first two seasons of digimon. I was reminded of this fact when I heard a snippet of “kids of america” or whatever that song is called and was catapulted back in time to when my siblings and I recorded the dubbed digimon movie on VHS when it aired during the saturday morning time slot reserved for such shows as Pokemon, Cardcaptor, and other anime deemed appropriate for children.

Now. My hyperfixations come and go with the seasons of my life and sometimes the conditions are right that I revisit an old fixation. 

Such has happened in the past with digimon.

Numerous times in the past I have watched specifically the dub of the digimon movie because that brings me a reliable dose of joy to my life. An unspecified long ago I rewatched just the first season of digimon adventures, that being the one i remembered the best and have the most fondness for. Not terribly long ago, although longer than it likely feels, I rewatched the entirety of the first and second seasons of Digimon Adventures and Digimon Tamers for good measure because that season is several flavors of fucked up.

At this point ya’ll are probably going, “wtf do we care about your enduring love of the show digimon?” to which I say this: I have been granted many hours of the day to think about Things and in those hours after reliving my favorite memories of digimon I have formed Some Opinions on how the second season of Adventures could have been better.

Lemme say one last thing before going further, I love the second season of digimon adventures and it has some of my favorite episodes and characters and did a really good time skip, which is why it haunts me so. Also I’ll be using the dub names of the characters because i always watched the dub and that’s what i’m used to. Also Also, it’s been a hot second since I’ve watched the show so this is all based on my memories of what stood out to me from the show.

Biggest thing i wish were different is Who Got Which Egg.

First off the Love Egg? Give that thing to Cody not Yolei! Cody didn’t get as much development as the other characters in my opinion. It seemed like the show was trying to make him a more sensitive Izzy clone, which in my opinion didn’t really work out. A much stronger part of his character was his connection to his family! Multiple times he was shown going to his grandpa for advice and he was shown really cherish that bond. It would have been a great to see that explored more and have that facet of his character shine through in his interactions with the other digidestined as he begins to consider them his family too. They could have had conflict where he realizes that with how tanky his partner digimon is, he might have a responsibility to protect his new family but at the same time doesn’t want his partner to keep getting hurt! I dunno man, but this child is full of love and kindness and I wish the anime had given him the corresponding eggs.

Meanwhile Yolei? Ya’ll guessed it! I’ve been saying it since i first rewatched the show! Give Yolei The Knowledge Egg! She is Brash. She is Curious. She is full of Fire not Love! If the anime had gone down the route of “Oh, she needs to learn to be more Loving(????)” I might have let it slide but No! She mentions having a crush on Popular Kid Ken a few times early on, then it’s dropped! Ya’ll remember that one time Kari was having a panic attack about the dark ocean or whatevs? Yolei slapped the shit outta her to get her to snap out of it! Again, if it was made more clear that came from a place of love and concern and not a “pull yourself together” moment, I’d let it pass. But the Knowledge Egg? That shit’s obvious. She’s literally the techie of the group, connects with Izzy, sticks her nose in everything and the Wings of Knowledge sounds cooler than the drill of knowledge. Sincerity egg is great tho, eggcellent choice.

BiG change comin through! Defo give the Courage egg to Davis, he’s got hot-blooded protagonist juice comin’ out of his ears. But also, give him the Hope egg instead of the Loyalty egg. 

Now Hear Me Out! Think of the character possibilities! Despite his annoyingness, Davis has been shown again and again uplifting other’s spirits, from his friends, to freshly-humbled Ken, to a literal army of digidestined in the finale. A big part of why they won in the finale is because he literally had hope for the future! It could have been a great way to develop him as the leader of the group since that seems to be the role the show was pushing for him anyways.

And tying closely to the above are the egg choices i’d make for my two favorite characters. Kari still should get the Light Egg, but I think it’d be so juicy if TK got the Loyalty egg.

My thoughts on this are that we’ve seen that these two clearly have some baggage from the first time they were in the digital world. TK straight up has ptsd over the time patamon was Murdered In Front Of Him As a Child and Kari’s got some shit goin on with the dark Ocean that is Never Resolved. Wouldn’t it be just so fuckin’ crazy if the show was just like, yeah TK’s having a hard time mustering up any hope for the future right now and just, gave him an arc that was him working through his mental illnesses. There could be these scene’s where Kari’s like “you alright?” and he’s like “apparently not?” and then it’d be so emotional when he gets patamon to digivolve to ultimate using the crest of hope! There’s so much potiential!

But then Kari still gets the Light egg because that’s less a virtue and more just a characteristic that she emits. And because she still get’s her expected egg it takes longer for people to see that oh yeah, Kari’s got lingering trauma too. Then that could be tied into and represented by the dark ocean subplot as it eventually becomes too big of a problem to ignore anymore. Which would be a running theme with Kari from way back in the first season where she keeps putting other’s before herself to the detriment of her own health. Tying in with TK getting the Loyal egg, there’s an episode where he’s the only one who notices Kari’s literally glitching out of reality and is the one who follows her to the dark ocean to try and get her back. It’s already choice, but what if more of that? What if better Yolei and Kari bonding too? (I’m not gonna lie ya’ll it’s getting late and i’m wrapping it up) Like, Yolei is shown to not bottle things up and I feel like being the smartest in the group she could help understand wtf the dark ocean is and would be the most likely to go “bitch! let’s get you some therapy!” and just not give her the chance to keep saying “Im fine.” And that’s a dynamic i wish had been explored more rather than just slapping the two girls together.

That all might be a bit much to ask of a children’s anime. But what’s not too much is how giving him the Loyalty egg would contrast and parallel him to his own brother Matt! Think about it! Later in the season when they get the ability to dna digivolve he and Cody are paired up mostly because they’re the spares; but by by drawing these parallels between Matt and TK across the seasons, it would give him a reason to bond with Cody who is only a little bit older than TK was when he first went to the digimon world. There could be this element of big brother protectiveness and mentorship that would lead him to understanding what his own brother went through mixed with memories of what it was like from the other side and I just think it would make their dynamic more interesting.

tl:dr I think Digimon Adventure 02 could have had more interesting character arcs and dynamics if they had shuffled who had which digi eggs.

When I was way younger, me and some friends plus a couple of my cousins would make-up our own “re-done versions” of Digimon (this was just fan-fiction with OCs, but those were not even terms that anybody used yet). I remember that for Digimon Adventure 02/Armor, we wanted more characters to complete the new kids group, still with Kari and TK being the two who were used to Digimon stuff, and the eventual result was the group of new Digidestined could “trade” Armor Digi-Eggs so everybody got to use each Crest at least once (but each kid also had their main Crest that activated fully later on, for the DNA fusions). We also re-worked who got what Crest; Davis, TK, and Kari stayed the same, but I thought Yolei and Hawkmon should get Knowledge (since she was such a smarty-pants), and Cody got Sincerity (because he was such a thoughtful kid). We made-up a girl who got Friendship, a boy who got Love, and a girl who got Reliability. Ken still had Kindness, but because he was a bit of a late-bloomer, he had to play catch-up using the Armor Digi-Eggs. I should try to remember what Digimon we gave those kids...

Partner: Falcomon Digivolution line: Puwamon-Pinamon-Falcomon-Peckmon-Crowmon-Ravemon-Ravemon Burst Mode Crest/Digi-Egg: Reliability

Matt met his perfect partner when a large black egg came out of his computer one late night. He had been editing the podcast, half asleep, and only really realized something was going on when the screen froze and turned whiter than an angel’s wings. The egg formed and appeared on his lap with a small device. He hadn’t been high or drunk, and was almost positive he was dreaming. It wasn’t until all the other guys, and some others online, had eggs, too. He made a joke about turning it into breakfast. “Think we can turn it into breakfast? How do you like your eggs, guys?” “I am not food!” A tiny voice had stated loudly. Angry little eyes on a brown tuft of fur glared up at Matt, then softened with joy. “I’m Puwamon, your partner!”

As Puwamon grew to Pinamon and then Falcomon, Matt learned to care for and love the creature. It wasn’t until Falcomon turned into Peckmon to save Matt that he realized just how much he cared for the ninja bird. Their bond only strengthened as they grew together.

Partner: Gatomon Digivolution line: SnowBotamon-Nyaromon-Salamon-Gatomon-Angewomon-Ophanimon/Mastemon (w/ BlackGatomon) Crest/Digi-Egg: Light

Jay’s partner transcended the regular Rookie stage, going to full Champion. Jay and Mason were the only two to have permanent Champion-level partners. They’re also the only two with partners that DNA digivolve to Mega level together. Jay fell in love with SnowBotamon from the start, especially knowing his best friend had the same Digimon. She only got cuter as she grew, eventually branching off from her sister and becoming a white angel. She and Jay sing together all the time. Like Jay and Mason, Gatomon and BlackGatomon tend to encourage each others’ antics.

Partner: BlackGatomon Digivolution line: SnowBotamon-Nyaromon-Salamon-BlackGatomon-LadyDevimon-Minervamon/Mastemon (w/ Gatomon) Crest/Digi-Egg: Hope

It’s no surprise that Jay’s partner and crest match perfectly, and they match him, but Mason didn’t think his matched at all. He had a black cat that turned into a lady demon, and his crest was Hope. How had he managed that? He wasn’t ever hopeful of shit. Okay, he was, secretly. The little black and purple creature was hopeful, too, but never showed it. They complimented each other perfectly, as they did with Jay and Gatomon. BlackGatomon was the brains to Mason’s brawn, helping him keep a level head and not run head first, stupidly, into danger, like he so often wanted to.

Partner: Lalamon Digivolution line: Nyokimon-Budmon-Lalamon-Sunflowmon-Lilamon-Rosemon-Rosemon Burst Mode Crest/Digi-Egg: Love “Fuck yeah! I get a sexy woman as my partner!” That’s the first thing Toby said as he faced almost certain death in a big fight. Lilamon rivaled LadyDevimon and Angewomon, but Rosemon’s appearance was Toby’s proudest moment. “I’m a proud mother.” He had commented after the fight was over. He and Lalamon are always out shopping together. He often gets her matching accessories. The two are always looking after the others, too.

Partner: Renamon Digivolution line: Relemon-Viximon-Renamon-Kyubimon-Taomon-Sakuyamon-Kuzuhamon Crest/Digi-Egg: Courage

Cam’s perfect partner was a fox, but one that was even taller than him. A small furball grew into a towering beast that he loved more than anything. He enjoyed when she moved to all fours in her Champrion form. He was taller than her again, but her ultimate form and mega form towered over him again. Her “extra-mile” evolution, Kuzuhamon, scared him at first. Had he been too prideful in her and made her dark digivolve? She had become almost scary with her dark color scheme, but she assured him that she could only achieve this form with his help. It was the best form she could turn into, and very few of her kind did.

Partner: Kotemon Digivolution line: MetalKoromon-Kapurimon-Kotemon-Gladimon-Knightmon-Crusadermon Crest/Digi-Egg: Friendship

As the only member of the group to not have a partner with an “extra-step” in their evolution line, he was lucky enough to get a borderline God as his partner. Despite his pink coloring, Crusadermon identifies as a male that gives no fucks. “I am pink because it’s a cool color.” He always says when Toby asks and when Mason makes fun of him. He shuts shit down like Negan would, proving to Swagger that he is his perfect partner, through and through. It was cool to have a tiny little guy with a mask hiding his face and a stick to fight with. It was cooler to have a little fat knight, and even cooler still to have a bigger knight. Yet, Crusadermon took the cake in all his pink glory. It was like his childhood fantasy coming true.

Partner: FanBeemon Digivolution line: Pupumon-Puroromon-FanBeemon-Waspmon-CannonBeemon-TigerVespamon-Grademon Crest/Digi-Egg: Sincerity

Obviously, Bianca was gifted with a Bee Digimon as her perfect partner. FanBeemon was adorable, but definitely bigger than the average human bee. She and Bee quickly became best friends and did everything together. FanBeemon formed a crush on Kotemon, sometimes getting into trouble just so he could save her. She enjoyed becoming Grademon just to prove she was better than he was, though.

Partner: Palmon Digivolution line: Nyokimon-Tanemon-Palmon-Togemon-Lillymon-BanchoLillymon-Rafflesimon Crest/Digi-Egg: Knowledge

Palmon and Lalamon were as good of friends as their human partners were. Palmon, however, had quickly formed a crush on Falcomon. Unlike her other friend, FanBeemon, she didn’t try and get into dumb situations to be saved. She admired from afar, but proved her own strength, too. She once saved Falcomon and Matt, but they, too, had once saved them. Palmon would never forget the moment Crowmon had swooped in and saved her, as Matt leaped off of his back to catch a falling Brodie. Lillymon and Lilamon were close in design, but BanchoLillymon was “epic,” according to Toby. She was a gothic beauty that became even more gorgeous when she took the extra step to becoming Rafflesimon. Much like her other female counterparts, all the boy Digimon swooned over her. Except the one she wanted most.

Partner: Vorvomon Digivolution line: Mokumon-DemiMeramon-Vorvomon-Lavorvomon-Lavogaritamon-Volcanicdramon-AncientVolcanomon Crest/Digi-Egg: Vanity

What’s better than a goddess for a partner? A dragon that is made of lava and smoke. Vorvomon is adorable and fierce, and a little vain. He often steals John’s rings because they are “shiny” and he likes them. The two also have contests to see who can blow more smoke. John’s vape tricks amaze the small dragon, but in his final form of Volcanidramon, he out smokes anyone. He’s proud of this fact, too.

What’s more Canadian than a seal? One that turns into both a Viking beast and a mythological Cryptid dinosaur. Jaren refers to Gomamon as “Bappo” from time to time, for no other reason than to piss the little guy off. Gomamon hates the nickname, but he loves his partner too much to truly be mad. He’ll never admit it, but after a while, he gets used to it. The two are a perfect pair, and match John and Vorvomon. Vorvomon is a fire monster, while Gomamon loves the water. They’re perfect best friends.

Okay, so you’d think the kind of Raccoons would get a Raccoon as a partner. Sadly, none exist, so he is stuck with an orange hamster with wings. Patamon turns into an angel, and by his “extra step,” is dark and beautiful. Ezra jokes he made him this way with his dark humor, but the idea of the angel of kindness and hope forming into a shadowy fallen angel terrified him at first. It made up for not being a Raccoon and for being a literal religious being. Ezra wouldn’t admit it, but Angemon had better hair than he did.

Partner: Bearmon Digivolution line: Punimon-Tsunomon-Bearmon-Grizzlymon-Pandamon-BanchoLeomon-Callismon Crest/Digi-Egg: Guts

Nelson was surprised to get a partner at all. But Bearmon, with his cute little snapback, was perfect. He couldn’t be happier to have him. How the little bear turned into a grizzly, then a panda, than a goddamn lion in a suit, and then to a bigger grizzly bear with guns for hands, he didn’t know, nor care. He loved his little buddy more than anything.

As you may notice when I'm not talking about P&F or MML (which is like 99% of the time) I like Digimon, a lot, it became my favorite show after watching "And So it Begins" back in '99. Funny story on that, I saw the promo and based on the name figured it was a bad Pokémon rip off so I watched it expecting to laugh about how much I hated it, only for it to become my favorite show, which is when at the age of nine i decided to go into things with an open mind. Digimon was also my first fandom, so you can thank/blame all of this Bob-ish delight you see before you on that. Anyway long intro out of the way, the other day i was thinking about the eight crests that factored heavily into Digimon Adventure (there was a ninth crest of Kindness plus two accompanying Digi-Eggs of Miracles and Destiny revealed in 02 but let's ignore those for now) And I thought to myself, if you were to give Phineas, Ferb and their Friends crests what crest would they have? Maybe later I'll expand this to giving them digimon partners too, I'm not sure... First up was Baljeet, he's the easiest and I gave him the Crest of Knowledge belonging to Izzy Izumi, while the entire group is intelligent at times, Baljeet comes off as having the most traditional intelligence. Enough said about that, I really didn't consider anything else Buford was slightly trickier, but eventually I decided on Friendship, the Crest that belonged to Matt Ishida, Matt was your typical Brooding loner who always got into fights with the hotheaded leader Tai. But his character arc was really about coming to terms with accepting he just wanted to be friends with the others and it's not hard to see that as Buford's character arc as well (best exemplified in the Christmas Special) Ferb is almost a complete opposite of the character whose crest I applied to him, The Crest of Reliability, belonging to Joe Kido, personality wise the two are initially nothing alike, Ferb is calm and always sure of himself while Joe is a neurotic basket case who's worried about everyone else (actually personality wise he's got some similarities to Ferb's older Sister Candace) But it's really the trait of reliability that Joe grows into near the end of the series when he and Mimi seperate from the group because Mimi doesn't want to see anyone else die, that I feel best exemplifies Ferb, he's a steady presence that will always lend his considerable skills and calm demeanor to any situation to make sure the job gets done Phineas gets Hope, the Crest of T.K. Takeshi, Matt's younger brother, T.K. was the youngest of the original kids but his unrelenting optimism and hope even in the darkest hours brought the team through some of their greatest trials, and I feel like that fits Phineas perfectly. He was actually one of the easiest to place after Baljeet Last is Isabella, and honestly I'm still not entirely sure which fits her best, the Crest of Love belonging to Sora Takenouchi is certainly an interesting choice as she is certainly an all loving heroine, even discounting her crush on Phineas as the Crest is not explicitly romantic love but rather a general love of others that certainly seems to agree with Isabella's Fireside Philosophy. Another option was the Crest of Light belonging to Kari Kamiya, and i gotta admit that one was tempting for one thing the Crest is Pink, Isabella's favorite color (though I discounted crest color in every other occasion when deciding the pairs so that wasn't a chief factor), another tempting facet is the Crest of Light pairs well with the Crest of Hope (Phineas) and if you know me you know I ship the wielders of Hope and Light but once again this is not a reason for Isabella herself, though she's certainly capable of great inner light. I eventually decided it was best to give her one that fit her, and for me that was the Crest belonging to Mimi Tachikawa, The Crest of Sincerity, Isabella always seemed to sincerely care for everyone she met and there was nothing remotely false about her, even when she had ulterior motives, she was never malicious. So at the end that leaves the Crest of Courage (which I never really discussed), Love and Light unclaimed by Phineas's primary friend group, but that's fine. I feel like I could give them to people. (I'm really feeling Love for Perry the Platypus so maybe I'll just apply that to him) Anyway, this was just my crossing two things I personally love

So I made a future Digimon Adventure team that takes place like modern times, so tennor so years before the epilogue of 02. There are six of them with the Armor Digi-Eggs, including Miracles and Destiny. Five have two eggs and one has one egg. I kind of randomly chose what the Armor evolutions are from the Digivolution chart on the wiki. Also, the Impmon is a female, with the line going Impmon -> Witchmon -> LadyDevimon -> BelleStarmon. Also, the Lucemon goes along the Angemon to Seraphimon line, which is a line that actually be used in Cyber Sleuth. Oh, and the Digidestined of Terriermon and Lopmon are fraternal twins.

One last fight (DigiOTP Week 2017)

Prompt: Universe Alteration (Canon Divergent) BrOTP: 02 DigiDestined + Willis Rating: General Audience Digimon Adventure 02

I have two more to finish, I’m late but it’s been a busy week. I really 02, and the movie especially so I came up with this one. In one of my headcanons the idea that Willis is part of the second team, and they have one last foe to face together. I hope you enjoy reading this fic.

Davis, Yolie, Cody, TK, Kari, Ken, and Willis stood together in a line, their Digimon partners standing a few feet in front of them, there were all covered in some kind of scratches, cuts or injuries, all of them with serious, determined expressions on their faces. Ahead of them, a large black vortex frozen in the sky voices were echoing within the rift, it had been a hard battle against the darkness, a force that was collective of every evil Digimon the 02 team, and the original team had fought in their years.

It had no consciousness, it was a force of negative energy that would destroy everything it touched if breached the walls of this ancient temple and began to spread to the rest of the Digital World, and even the Earth. The DigiDestined had to use ancient power each of them had tapped into, the power of their armor digivolution, using the digi-eggs they collected they would seal this darkness away and send into oblivion. Their Digimon had fought bravely and had exhausted their powers, but still, they refused to give in.

“Veemon! You ready, time to end this.” Davis told his blue dinosaur Digimon as the creature smiled back him showing the thumbs up.

“You guys all ready?” He asked his teammates, all of them looking at him, nodding their heads or signaling they were ready.

“Alright then, let’s end this once and for all!” Davis said as he pulled out his D-terminal, as three lights shot up from the device, one orange, blue, and golden.

“Yeah!” Yolie said as a red and green light shot from her device.

“Let’s go!” Willis commanded a golden light his device.

“For the Digimon!” Ken said a pale purple light released from him.

“For our friends!” Cody said with a gray and purple light shooting from his one.

“Our families!” TK shouted a yellow beam shooting up.

“With our hope!” Kari stated a pink light releasing from her.

“Our light!” All seven youths said in unison, as their lights formed the symbol of the crests, 

Courage.

Friendship.

Love. 

Sincerity.

Knowledge. 

Reliability.

Hope.

Light.

Kindness.

Miracles, and Destiny...

“This is our last chance... With these crests, we end this here and now.” Cody said showing no fear in the face of this void.

“Everyone’s putting their hopes and dreams on our shoulders, we can’t give in.” Kari said as each started to hold hands together.

“We’ve been through so many battles, all of it coming down to this.” Ken said thinking back to his past sins, the enemies they fought and his friends. 

“No matter what happens, we have to win...” Willis spoke his eyes narrowing at the darkness.

“Will purge this darkness and the restore the light to this world.” TK said glaring at the darkness ahead of them.

“All of us, Humans and Digimon together.” Yolie shouted squeezing Ken and Kari’s hands in her own.

“We’re DigiDestined!” Davis shouted as their Digimon charged towards the darkness as a monstrous roar bellowed from the void.

Digi-Armor Energize!

Golden-Armor Energize!

They shouted as the pillars of light transformed into the into the eleven armor digi-eggs, as they formed a circle, with two golden eggs in the middle of them as they Digimon started to digivolve into their armor forms!

Veemon golden armor digivolve to... Magnamon!

Terriermon golden armor digivolve to... Rapidmon!

Hawkmon armor digivolve to... Haslemon.

Armadillomon armor digivolve to... Digmon.

Patamon armor digivolve to... Pegasusmon.

Gatomon armor digivolve to... Nefertimon.

Wormmon armor digivolve to... Bucchiemon.

All seven monsters had transformed into their armor-level forms. With the golden Digimon taking the lead with others following, they fired various attacks into the vortex, with pained groans and cries coming from the rift. Then jet black ropes of energy fired from the rift trying to attack the Digimon and their partners, with the digi-eggs creating a barrier to protect the kids. The seven warriors then became surrounded in an aura of their humans' crest giving them more power.

Davis and the others watched on cheering their partners on watching them battle, Digmon and Haslemon had been alternating from second forms: Shurimon and Submarimon in their first forms. Magnamon was able to conjure the powers of Flamedramon and Raidramon without changing as he shot golden flames, and lightning at the vortex. The golden armor warriors seemed to be having the most effect on the darkness.

Back outside the temple, the older team were with their Digimon, Mimi was holding Lopmon in her arms for Willis as the little Digimon looked up, the skies were dark, and the temple his brother and partner were fighting it was almost engulfed in darkness. They were all worried for their friends inside but they didn’t have armored digi-eggs so they could wait here until they were needed, their thoughts and prays were on the second team.

“We trust you all... Were right here for you.” Tai said with Agumon standing beside him as they looked on if all else failed the six of them and their Digimon would be the last line of defense against the darkness.

The fight went on a long time, the darkness that had spread so far throughout the digital world was returning back to the temple in order to fight off the DigiDestined. The youths were exhausted, either on their knees or their butts on the hard ground, and their Digimon were feeling the strain too almost all their power had been depleted and the vortex was still strong, it seemed endless. 

Davis was on all fours, he was tired as he looked up at his partner, still shining as he was only Digimon that was still standing, as the others were struggling to maintain their armored forms, trying to get back up. The leader gritted his teeth as he couldn’t pass out on his partner or his friends, just when he was about to fall when two arms wrapped around his own as he was pulled back to his feet.

“Don’t go passing out on us just yet.” He saw that Ken and Willis on each side of him, smiling at him, as he looked at them.

“We’ve still got some fight left in us...” Ken smiled before returning his view to their Digimon, as Davis looked over to see Rapidmon and Bucchiemon getting back up.

“We’re not... Gonna quit, we’ll keep fighting...” TK managed to stand back up, his legs wobbling as Cody got up and helped the blonde stay up.

“Just on the horizon... I’m gonna keep going.” Cody said a serious look on his face as TK smiled as they looked over at Davis.

“We're still together... Sora, Mimi, and everyone else is still fighting outside. We h-have to...” Yolie struggled as her DNA partner helped her up, throwing the taller girl’s arm over her shoulder. 

“I’ll keep going too, I’ll hold everyone up, will share our strength.” Kari firmly said they all looked at each other, smiling and determined faces as the rest of their Digimon returned to their feet.

“Thanks, guys...” David smiled thanking his team before he looked ahead at Magnamon, the armored dinosaur didn’t look back as he just mimicked his earlier action giving him a thumbs up, making the teenager grin.

You can’t win... Just give up... You will be devoured... Surrender... Die! 

Your powers are weak... You are no match for the power of darkness... Suffer!

Voices from the black energy were trying to intimidate them, as started to take a physical form, it looked sludge giant hands were beginning to shape, two glowing yellow eyes and a mouth. Even in the face of this, the DigiDestined weren’t going to give up just yet. Their digi-eggs then descended down, surrounding their owners now they changed into white shining spheres with the symbols of their crests glowing on them. The monstrous entity growled as it raised his massive arm to try and crush the children.

“Get to the kids!” Magnamon shouted as the Digimon turned rushing back to their partners, they had just the darkness crushed all of them under its hand! 

Be overtaken by darkness... No more will you exist... 

The malevolent force grinned twistedly when all of a sudden beams of light shot through its hand as it was then blown away, it roared in anger and pain as all the Digimon had returned to their rookie forms, all the kids and their partners were huddled together in a tight embrace as there was surrounded in a veil of white light, the symbols of their crests forming a ring around it as they all opened their eyes.

DDDDDIIIIIEEEEE!!!!

The being fired a blast of dark energy at the group but it couldn’t break through the barrier, it didn’t even put a dent in it. Then their digivices glowed, the spheres that were their digi-eggs each shot a single thread of energy fired towards the creature was bound and restrained as it tried to fight its energy, his sludge-like body steamed up as the pure energy was like fire to the creature, it was snarling and riving in agony.

“This is just like...” Kari paused as the sight before mirrored a battle years ago.

“When we defeated VenomMyotismon... Our crests are restraining it.” TK said as they couldn’t believe this, while the rest of gang looked a little confused.

“This is our chance!” Veemon shouted as Davis nodded in agreement.

“One final push!” Davis shouted as the light around them intensified.

“Even if we can’t digivolve, will still fight!” Salamon said as the other Digimon agreed with her.

“Then will strike right there. Where its heart is...” Ken pointed at the center of the monster.

“This fight isn’t over yet! We are going to win!” Willis said as Terriermon smiled as their digital monsters became surrounded in a golden aura, with the symbols of Miracles and Destiny glowing.

“Veemon! Hawkmon! Wormmon! Armadillomon! Patamon! Salamon! Terriermon!” The humans shouted their Digimon names as they flew out of the barrier surrounded by the golden light as they flew towards the darkness.

STAY BACK!!! BE DESTROYED

The seven rookie-levels zoomed all around the creature as it tried to hit them, each of them attacking the mass of darkness, leaving wounds all over its form. Veemon performed his signature headbutt as he hit the beast in its core. The rest of Digimon followed in after him as they went inside the mass, attacking it from the inside, the entity roared echoed as rays of light shot out of its body, the darkness being turned into light

NOOOOOOO!!!

The large room was soon engulfed in a light and massive explosion engulfed everything! A wave of light then expanded from the blast as it spread outside the shrine’s walls, outside as the light covered everything, purging the darkness. The entire planet was that was almost covered in darkness was being destroyed by the wave of light that went around the whole digital world before it returned to the temple. 

The life was returned to the land, and the skies were blue again. Tai and the others had braced themselves when the massive wave of light hit them, but it was harmless to everything but the darkness. They then gathered themselves up as they looked up at the temple, they didn’t even hesitate as they all rushed inside to find the others...

The younger team were all laying the ground, the room looked like a war zone,  their partners all laying beside them as their bodies were giving off a steam, all of them could barely move. the light from outside shined in through a crack, where the evil mass of darkness was now there was nothing but faint glimmers of light soon faded away. Davis grunted as he weakly turned his head to look at Veemon, his Digimon was laying face down.

He looked around to see all his friends and their partners, he coughed as he then started to laughing, Veemon moved slightly as he started laughing his human counterpart, then one by the rest of them began to either chuckling or giggling. TK just smiled as he reached over to Patamon stroking the little-winged creature as it smiled. Kari looked over her partner they smiled at each other.

Yolie groaned as she laughed with Hawkmon resting on her chest holding him in her arms, Cody gently rubbed the top of Armadillomon shell. Terriermon wrapped one of his ears around Willis’s arm, the blonde grinning, Ken just smiled at Wormmon who weakly returned the expression. Against all the odds and without the power of their DNA Digimon, or Mega-Levels, they had managed to defeat the darkness and saved the digital world once again, and all the worlds that the force would've spread to.

Just then the older team and their Digimon entered the room, they just stood there, looking at the image of their friends and siblings on the ground, beaten and bruised, but laughing, they just looked at them, wave of relief filled their hearts as they watched the group relish in their victory, it was hard fought battle but they won...
