Times were Masky & Hoodie were dicks

We always talk about Masky being a dick, but they both have their shining moments.

It's fun making Tim wake up in a lampshade or anything, but Brian always has to check the mirror before he does anything after awakening after Hoodie takes over.

He will draw all over his entire body in sharpie, and Masky's too, on the occasion so Tim doesn't check every single time, allowing him to let his guard down enough to not expect it.

You can only imagine the things that Hoodie comes up with, ranging from inappropriate drawings, to funny comics, to fake tattoos, blackouts, and designs.

One time he made it through the morning with a panda face until Slender pointed it out as he was drinking coffee.

They've switched clothes, switched phones, and one time they even switched entire closets.

Every time they decide to act up, it's always a hassle to clean the mess.

One time they both woke up in full sailor moon cosplays, complete with the prop weapons and all. And the only way out of the attic and toward their room was through the main hallway spanning across the foyer.

Now, that, that story only travels in whispers in fear of Brian or Tim catching wind of word getting around.

Everyone knows anyway, and even Slender will gossip about it to Jane during late night talks of reminiscing.

🎡 Summary: Kevin tries to win a prize for Shawn at the county fair but it doesn’t go according to plan

🎡 a/n: the fact that I drafted this over a year ago... better late than never I suppose. AO3 link.

Shawn hid behind his cloud of cotton candy, stifling his laughter as Kevin missed yet another basketball shot.

“I’m rusty!” Kevin exclaimed before handing another ticket to the worker.

The date was Kevin’s idea. With him and Shawn being workaholics, he thought they deserved to enjoy the fruits of their labor on a nice fall day. Shawn spent most of his days tending to their farm, and although the blond loved what he did, it could be physically and mentally exhausting at times.

Kevin was an ex-basketball star turned diesel mechanic due to an unforeseen injury. He made a good living, but it wasn’t as lucrative as his basketball salary. He and Shawn worked hard and made many sacrifices to have a roof over their heads, and Kevin wanted to show the blond how much he appreciated him.

That and he also wanted to show off his mad basketball skills. It had been years since he left the court professionally, but the sport was second nature to him. Except it wasn’t panning as he expected on their date.

“God dammit,” Kevin grunted frustratedly as he missed the shot again.

Shawn’s giggles subsided and he rubbed a comforting hand along Kevin’s arm.  “Babe, it’s ok. I don’t need a stuffed animal-”

“I got it! Must be the wind.” He’d be damned if he wasn’t going to win that giant stuffed pink panda for Shawn. It was the last weekend the fair was in town, so Kevin wouldn’t get another chance.

Kevin was determined not just because he wanted to win a prize for Shawn, but also because he’d formed a mini crowd in his quest to make a basket, and he refused to embarrass himself in front of the teens that were making successful shots beside him.

Kevin let out a slow exhale. He dribbled the ball a few times. He bent his knees at an angle, eyeing the distance between the ball and the basket. He had to make it. What man would he be if he didn’t? He didn’t drag Shawn all the way out there to go home empty-handed.

After another breath, he straightened his knees and launched the ball towards the basket. He held his breath in anticipation, the ball seeming to move in slow motion.

Kevin’s eyes widened and gasps could be heard as the ball neared the basket. It hit the rim and circled around and around. But instead of falling inside, the ball’s momentum catapulted it outside of the ring and down the gutter where Kevin’s other failed attempts lay.

Kevin groaned and so did the crowd around them. A few people walked off in boredom and others in disappointment. Shawn should have groaned as well, but his eyes were nearly brought to tears in laughter. He couldn’t understand why Kevin was taking a kids’ game so seriously. Not to mention, the amount of money the man was wasting on tickets for a prize he could buy at a store for much less abysmal.

“Here. Let me try.” Shawn handed his cotton candy over to Kevin. Before the man could protest, Shawn said, “I’m tired and it’s getting cold. I’d rather not freeze my ass off waiting for you to win this thing. We leave after this, ok?”

Kevin wanted to disagree, but Shawn’s tone told him not to argue. So he begrudgingly nodded, forming a tiny pout on his lips as he watched Shawn hand a ticket to the worker.

Shawn wasn’t as hung up as Kevin on if he’d make the shot or not, so he had low expectations. He dribbled the ball once and shot it off without a care. He shocked everyone by making the basket on his first try. It was a lucky shot, really. Shawn was shit at basketball and didn’t know anything about the sport. But he still burst into laughter at Kevin’s disbelief.

Shawn gloated, “That wasn’t so hard. Which toy would you like, honeybun?”

“The game is rigged.”

“Must be if I made the shot and you didn’t, Mr. Basketball star.” Shawn teased with a sing-songy tune. Kevin silently sulked as he watched Shawn grab the pink panda. The blond handed it over with a sickeningly sweet smile. “For my big daddy.”

But Kevin didn’t grab it. He bit into the fluffy cloud in his hands, his pout deepening as he grumbled, “You’re not getting your cotton candy back.” As if itwere the ultimate punishment.

It wasn’t serious though. He and Shawn teased each other all the time, sometimes much harsher than what happened that day. It was an element of their relationship that they both loved – how they could be so silly and unserious with each other. How they could joke with each other and not take things to heart. They knew where each other’s boundaries were and trusted that the other would never cross them.

“Aww,” Shawn cooed. He pecked Kevin’s pout, noting a taste of sugary cotton candy on his lips. “That’s fine. You can have it as a consolation prize,” he snickered. Then he leaned next to Kevin’s ear, whispering, “As long as I get to have you tonight, sweet cheeks.”

Shawn used his free hand to smack Kevin’s ass with full force. Kevin went still, his cheeks heating up in embarrassment, and Shawn snatched the cotton candy from his hands in his short distraction. The blond took off running in laughter, hands as full as his heart.

Kevin stood there for a moment, saving the picture in his head. Shawn’s signature stressed frown was replaced with a bright smile. His boisterous laughter carried across the fair grounds as he ran in delight. All the embarrassment Kevin experienced that day made that moment worth it.

Greetings friend. I do not know much about the bayverse boys (haven’t watched the movies sinceI was a smol) but having said that, I request you assign them favorite movies, to watch, together and on their own (if different)

Donnie is a fan of horror movies, but gets bored with most creature features because there's no logical reason for the [insert animal here] to relentlessly hunt random humans. But if a movie has lore of some kind, he loves that! He's seen a few seasons of Supernatural is what I'm saying. He loves lore-heavy movies in general, especially if there's tie-in books, but he also likes murder and mayhem. The only creature movies he does like are the Alien series. He admires the xenomorphs immensely for their pure, uncompromised killing power. (Leo really wonders about that part.)

Mikey's is Ponyo! It's a movie about transitioning between worlds, leaving behind the magical for the human, and finding unconditional love and acceptance there. Since Mikey loves video games, I hc that he favours animation over 'real life' media. That combined with his attraction to the human world, and desire to engage with it, means this is the perfect fit for him! Also the movie is downright gorgeous I mean honestly. A close second is Lilo and Stitch cause it has similar themes, and also aliens! Who doesn't love aliens?

Okay so for Raph there's an obvious answer, cause he canonically admires Vin Diesel. Except, and hear me out here - Ice Age. First of all it's a found-family movie and you can't tell me Raph isn't a fan of found family, it's literally what the turtles are. It's also about three random weirdos bonding, and one of said weirdoes changing from secretly-a-bad-guy to nearly-died-protecting-family. But also can I make it canon that the Vin Diesel appreciation is not because of any of the action movies? It's because of The Iron Giant. He cried over that movie I know it in my heart listen to me Nickelodeon-

Leo's is, ironically, a Vin Diesel movie. The Fast and The Furious, to be exact! He'd be the family car guy if it weren't for the fact that Donnie won't let anyone touch the turtle tank. As it is, he finds shiny cars very cool, even if there are parts in the later movies that he thinks are. Kinda stupid. It's part of the appeal, that boy's too uptight, he needs to relax by liking kinda-dumb action movies that heavily emphasize family bonds. He's also a huge fan of I Love Lucy because Splinter would let Leo watch it with him while the others were busy with their own things. As a treat for me, he likes the Transformers movies and sometimes calls April 'Mikaela' and everyone looks at him like he's an idiot. He needs to be a lil stupid sometimes it's good for him.

Family movie nights often involve superheroes of some kind. Sky High, Avengers, Megamind, Men In Black. Leo has a list of inaccurate sci-fi movies that will make Donnie yell at the tv because the rest of them think it's funny how worked up he gets. Mikey has a list of 100 top movies that he insists on going through to learn about human culture. They all get really invested in Leverage at one point. Once Donnie made them sit through a documentary about turtles and they threw popcorn at him through the whole thing. They watch a lot of basketball and also the security cameras at Central Park Zoo! Raph's favourite are the red pandas. Leo would not say this even under pain of death, but he likes watching the turtles. Mikey thinks it's cool that they let peacocks walk around and Donnie likes the snow leopard.

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3″ hits all the right notes

My relationship with the MCU may complicated right now, but that doesn’t extend to the Guardians of the Galaxy.

The holiday special was probably the best thing that was in Phase 4. It was such a breath of fresh air among all the multiverse-messing character assignations. And Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 proves that only James Gunn could have ended the series on the high note it deserved.

While the Guardians have somewhat settled on Knowhere, the gang is still in disarray. Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) is drinking away his grief over Gamora while the Gamora variant we met in Endgame (Zoe Saldana) has joined with the Ravagers. Groot (Vin Diesel) has bulked up, Kraglin (Sean Gunn) is having trouble mastering Yondu’s arrow, Nebula (Karen Gillan) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff) fight a lot, and Drax (Dave Bautista) is still...Drax.

Where does this leave Rocket (Bradley Cooper)? His past comes back to haunt him when Knowhere is attacked by Adam Warlock (Will Poulter) and unintentionally triggers a hidden kill-switch inside Rocket’s body. To save their friend, the Guardians have to come together once more to face Rocket’s creator, the High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji), a high-ranking scientist that is bent on recreating life in the universe to his liking--so yeah, a lot like Thanos.

This movie was what Avengers Endgame COULD have been if the Russos had been more focused on character development than easter eggs and lazy fan service. We finally get Rocket’s backstory, and it is heartbreaking. As you probably have already heard, animal torture is involved, so be warned. Cooper was already great as Rocket, but this is the movie where he gets to do the very most with his foul-mouthed little trash panda.

What’s especially commendable is how it managed to tie up the loose end Endgame left with “Past” Gamora. There is no lazy “Endgame Steve” solution here, thank God. The Gamora the Guardians loved is gone, and this Gamora is very much a different person on her own path. Peter can’t recreate their romance, no matter how much he wants to. And even though it’s sad, that’s the way it should be. It would be a disservice to BOTH Gamoras if Peter replaced her so easily.

Unlike Endgame and many other MCU movies lately, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 gives each of its characters the satisfying ending that they deserve. But I sure am going to miss those bunch of a-holes.

Songs in movie/TV shows that are non songs? Confusing title, but hear me out. I am currently working on composing classical pieces with really stupid source material. For example, have you seen the movie "The Pacifier" with Vin Diesel?In the movie there is a song that Vin diesel sings to a kid to put him to sleep. It's called the Peter Panda Dance. I made a string quartet out of the practically atonal melody he sings. I'm basically looking for stuff like that. If you have any suggestions let me know!
