•This Weekend• S/O to these two chicks!!! They put up with me well this weekend 😏 I love building friendships and that happened for sure! This weekend was a much NEEDED mental escape that was just what the doctor ordered. (Though an actual dr probably would have advised AGAINST a lot of our activities! 😜) Can’t wait to do it again!!! Hope Matt can make it next time! Extra S/O to my amazing wife for just being truly wonderful!! There couldn’t be a better person to be my better half. Love that woman!! OMG IS THIS HEAVEN?! PLEASE SOMEONE PINCH ME! I THINK I FOUND MY TRUE LOVEEEEE:) But seriously, these cookies are AMAZING! If you've ever had them...you know what I'm talking about. I've always wondered how they got these cookies to be so perfectly soft with the colorful frosting on top. I was talking to my friend's mom about it....AND SHE SHOWED ME 2 RECIPES! PERFECT SUMMER DRINKS:)

Hanging out with friends. Chillin by the pool. Going to concerts. Meeting cute boys. Unforgettable nights. Yep its SUMMERRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! Finally we've waited all year for school to be done. Time to chill and relax:) It's probs kinda hot outside LOL so here are some summer drinks to help cool you off:)!!! 

1) STRAWBERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE:

4 LARGE STRAWBERRIES, FROZEN OR FRESH

1/2 CUP OF MILK

1 RIPE BANANA

5 ICE CUBES

1 1/2 TSP. SUGAR (OPT.) 

THIS IS UP TO YOU BUT YOU CAN ADD STRAWBERRY OR VANILLA ICE CREAM TO MAKE IT THICKER

Combine strawberries, banana, milk, and ice. Blend everything until smooth. Add sugar. Blend for 1 minute and ENJOY:) 

2) SHIRLEY TEMPLE 

1/4 cup lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage

1 maraschino cherry

1 1/2 tablespoons grenadine syrup

COMBINE LEMON LIME DRINK AND SYRUP WITH ICE. STIR. AND THEN ADD YOUR CHERRY:)

3)FROZEN PINA COLADA 

2 OUNCES OF UNSWEETENED PINEAPPLE JUICE

1 OUNCE CREAM OF COCONUT

1/2 CUP OF ICE

BLEND IN BLENDER UNTIL YOU GET YOUR DESIRED CONSISTENCY:)

4) REFRESHING LEMON MINT WATER:)

   2 QUARTS WATER

JUICE OF ONE LEMON

2 LEMONS THINLY SLICED

ICE

FEW SPRIGS OF MINT

Combine all ingredients and and place in fridge for a bit to allow flavors to infuse.  Once pitcher is chilled, serve to friends and enjoy!

5) COTTON CANDY DRINK 

SPRITE, 7UP, OR SIERRA MIST

FLOSSIES COTTON CANDY(PINK OR BLUE)

ICE CUBES

POUR SPRITE, 7UP, OR SIERRA MIST INTO A CUP WITH ICE AND SHAKE OR STIR IT TOGETHER. NEXT GRAB ANOTHER CLEAN UNUSED CUP. PUT COTTON CANDY IN THIS CUP THEN POUR THE SPRITE AND ICE INTO THE CUP WITH THE COTTON CANDY:) AND THEN STIR IT TOGETHER! 

6) STRAWBERRY LEMONADE

ZEST OF LEMON

2 CUPS SUGAR

2 CUPS OF CHOPPED STRAWBERRIES

2 CUPS OF FRESH LEMON JUICE

1/4 TEASPOON OF SALT

Make the lemon syrup: Bring the lemon zest, 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1 1/2 cups water to a boil in a medium saucepan, stirring, until the sugar dissolves; let cool to room temperature. Meanwhile, make the strawberry syrup: Toss the strawberries and the remaining 1/2 cup sugar in a bowl and let sit at room temperature until the sugar dissolves, about 45 minutes. Strain the strawberry mixture; reserve the strawberry syrup and berries separately. Make the lemonade: Combine the lemon juice, lemon syrup, salt and 2 cups cold water in a pitcher. For each drink, put about 1 tablespoon of the strawberry syrup in a tall glass. Fill with ice, then top with the lemonade and some of the reserved strawberries.
