Because holy crap did that So Help Me Todd ever need a debrief

Cool to see we didn't just have an episode with basically all sleuthing just happening to take place partially in the world of law but it basically went from 0 to film noir in no time a homage further intensified once I found out the episode's title ("Dial M For Margaret")

And I guess that's just another thing contributing to how this episode similarly to the S1 finale kinda had a shoe-on-the-other-foot-reinforcing-the-bond-between-them type plot (and just like that one had lawyer!Todd (which made some of fans want that to be his eventual path-he-ends-the-show-with after many seasons of detecting, I think if that happened it'd have to be at the very end to not lose their Librarian/Guardian-esque dual dynamic perhaps like how Bones ended with Hodgins becoming "king of the lab") this had "Margaret Wright P.I.", further cementing the kind of two-sides-of-a-coin thing you usually get with romantic soulmates in shows like this)

Speaking of mothers and children, my mom who I've mentioned I've been watching the show with noticed a connection I doubt even most older viewers would notice, that as two older-older female sisters with a yen for detecting the Lee sisters could have been a reference to the title characters of obscure-ish 70s detective show The Snoop Sisters

Dick Franks doesn't just feel like another dramatic foil to Todd (in this case the Dark Mirror kind of foil, y'know, a negative example of what our hero could be if he didn't have his team etc. and now I'm again comparing Todd to Flynn Carsen as didn't he have a character like that too) but like if the SHMT fandom was as big as I wish it was Dick is the metaphorical embodiment of what I think Todd's bad-fanon-characterization would be

But one good thing (other than helping save the day of course) he did provide was the second thing this season that could be taken as a hint towards Todd liking guys (the first was basically everything about Todd's undercover-internship for that TV weatherman), hmm....

First episode all season-so-far where no one was a fashion disaster, sure Margaret and Lyle were technically pattern mixing but Lyle's could barely be seen behind his sweater vest and both their combos (Margaret's top and coat (specifically that blue outfit) and Lyle's shirt and tie) were in the same relative color family. And even for what time she appeared Susan in particular was looking especially stylish (Todd's still my #1 crush on this show by a country mile but Susan might still be moving forward (just not anywhere near catching up) the more she continues to be the prettiest chick on here, so help me Todd why is everyone so attractive?!)

originally sym emerged "from the shadows of the forest" and my beta was like "there's no forest this is the ridges, the whole point is there's no forest" and i had to pull up the literal in-game text that has him emerging, quote, "from the shadows of the forest." they were so angry it was immesnely funny. i did cut it tho bc it's technically inconsistent w/worldbuilding LMFAO

Hi I've been wanting to ask someone this for quite a while and I think you're the right person cause I love your interpretation of cas. I wonder if you could give me your view of how cas took it when dean called him his brother in s11.

Before the sacrifice, when they were saying their goodbyes, after talking to sam, dean comes to talk to cas but they didn't have their hug right there (did they even talk then? If not, what could have been their interaction?). It seemed a bit off. As if cas kind of closed himself up first but then felt guilty and so interrupted dean's talk with chuck to hug him. And dean is like Okay Okay and then has the Talk. Why didn't they just have the talk and the hug before dean went to chuck? (I'll send you the reference videoi, didn't know we can't upload a video for asks.)

Anyway, following this, the entire of s12, cas was behaved kinda pissed, Lost, trying to find a new purpose, suicidal. I don't mean to ask if it's because of being brozoned cause cas in general is kinda like that, but I've just been wondering what all actions of cas were a result of (or atleast being partly affected by) dean calling him his brother. Hope to hear your thoughts on this but theres absolutely no pressure 💜

thank you!! and honestly sorry, but I don’t have too many thoughts about that specific interaction. like I’ve seen joke posts about how Cas looks like an abandoned puppy after Dean calls him brother and I think that’s pretty much the case.

and like there’s a weird thing going on where Dean situates Cas in the Highest Tier of Friendship (calling him family), but in s12 Cas says to Mary I don’t know if I belong here. so like I think Cas just took the comment to generally mean that Dean considers him to be a close friend, but that doesn’t mean he strictly “belongs” with the Winchesters, and it definitely means that romantic stuff is off the table (which Cas takes as a rejection, even if that’s not actually the case, because Cas has never broached the subject with Dean).

in general the way I approach spn, especially later seasons, is very selective and vibes based. like I find taking everything as a single cohesive linear story to be very frustrating because it takes for granted a lot of the weird miserable baked in dynamic in tfw that was cemented in carver era. big plot stuff is often not addressed, or addressed very dismissively/quickly (like the aftermath of the MoC arc for example), so my response to that is to basically be like, okay well if the show doesn’t think this is emotionally important than I won’t either. which is a roundabout way of saying I don’t have too many intelligent thoughts about the transition from the s11 finale and bro comment to Cas being detached and distant in s12. That’s not to say there’s no connection (I think you made a good one!), I just personally don’t have a lot of thoughts about it. And laying all my cards on the table, most of my attention and energy for s12 goes towards Mary and Dean because that’s the emotional core of the season. So I don’t like “ignore” Cas or anything, but I don’t use s12 to read a lot into his character if that makes sense.

I think Cas accepted that Dean only ever thinks of him as a friend a long time ago, so while the brother comment still stings, it’s not especially surprising to him. I prefer late seasons destiel getting together, but that’s moreso because the main cast has a more established friend group, and s12 especially makes for a good “fresh start” with a lot of their relationships with each other because of Mary’s sudden introduction into their lives. Like I think it makes Dean re-evaluate the relationships he has with the people around him, it makes him reconsider the relationship he had with this father, and it gives him a come-to-jesus-esque moment where he realises that he needs to like, work through some stuff and let go of a lot of emotional baggage so that he can be happier and healthier with the people he loves. Which leads to him and Cas getting together!

Anyway I feel like this is probably a very unsatisfying answer sorry lol. Feel free to reply/send more asks if I didn’t answer your question, this is kinda rambly and all over the place

It was a love story from the very beginning.

Arriving at the Destiel Break-up

(14x16/14x17/14x18)

Hi there! I'm here again next to season 14 ending. This times let's talk about the incoming Destiel break up due to Mary Winchester's death.

Remember this is a summary from my metas from season 14.

Mirroring Death

From episode 16 I would say, I truly believed the whole dark wood represented the Empty and the adventure Dean had in it was a preamble to how he was going to rescue Castiel. But it wasn't.

We had two Destiel mirrors, and both of them finished dramatically. It was always Castiel's mirror the one in trouble, even the second couple that go into the woods, the one with blue coat (Cas) dies in the darkness.

So, these two couples were foreshadowing Castiel's ending in 15x18.

Another important take is the mention of a stake (just like it was mentioned in episode 14x06) foreshadowing Dean's death in 15x20.

And my suspicions were revealed, I was very confused about why the writers were showing Dean as if he was the only one in there or as if he wasn't there at all.

And now we know it was because Dean dies at the end of the show. 😢 (I hate you Dabb and C*W).

Look at these two summaries I made about Dean healing and Castiel healing.

I guess it was too much logical for the writers to do this, I mean, I was asking them too much hehe, but even when it didn't happen as we thought, Chuck came to be the villain. So, it worked somehow to release Castiel from the Sacred Oath. (Maybe hehe).

Oh yes, Castiel's rescue from the Empty happened, but it was Jack the one saving his dad.

The Death of the Mother

The whole episode 14x17 was about Mary, as a foreshadow of her death at the end of the episode.

The episode also starts with a broken game with TFW colors which represents TFW break up too.

This was the episode that foreshadwed Sam and Chuck's connection through minds and body. Dean runs to take care of his wounded brother after being punched in the head by Nick, and places a light blue napkin on Sam's head. (Light-blue and white represents Chuck: Heaven). This was a symbolic representation of their incoming nexus through that bullet wound at the end of the season.

Jumping to Mary's death, at the beginning of the episode we saw her talking with Jack, as if it was a goodbye speech.

And then this...

Now, let's jump to the Destiel break up, and watch this gif from episode 14x17 foreshadowing those hard words in the next episode...

Cut of scenes... We have Castiel's face and immediately after that we have a punch, coming from Dean to the Cas/camera/Nick. That's the cut, and that's the meaning... Cas/punched in the face by Dean, isn't??

"If something happened to mom, you are dead to me."

Episode 14x18 was the pure pain... Another Destiel breakup was born...

When Castiel is asking about Mary and Jack, we can appreciate the guilt in Dean's gaze.

This is important for what was about to happen when Sam and Dean recognized they knew something was wrong with Jack, but they avoid it. They were "blind", recalling that scene in 14x14 Ouroboros, when Michael made Cas, Sam and Dean blind.

In the cabin scene, when Castiel arrives, Dean was giving him his back without watching at him.

(This is purely body language, it was extremely dramatic).

I felt the whole scene off, practically, because if we don't take it as a GUILT PROJECTION from Dean to Castiel then it can't be thinking as a logical scene.

Just because Sam and Dean weren't at all oblivious about Jack's condition. And because Castiel was not hiding them nothing about the kid, he sincerely warned them before.

The whole healing path both characters had followed throughout season 14 collapsed horribly in this episode.

But, as I wrote back then PEOPLE TENDS TO HURT MORE TO THOSE WHO LOVE MORE. That's the only way I could understand why 'You are dead to me' was written, but even so, I'm not agreed with the way writers managed the drama here.

To Conclude:

Episode 14x16 and 14x17 were full of foreshadows showing us Dean's horribly and dumb death at the end of show and the dramatic black glued end of Castiel in 15x18.

14x18 was the Destiel break up they were foreshadowing the whole season, with a very dramatic outburst coming from Dean. Horribly writing (from my personal POV).

Hey hey✨ Remember when I said I had a bunch of headcanons about what tfw is doing in Lebanon? Here, have part 2

Cas goes to the church at some point, why exactly he does it, I don’t know, but he gets to talking with the priest and somehow they start talking about the yard next to the church and how it’s just an abandoned field and the priest doesn’t know what to do with it. And then Cas is just like... what about a garden? (Because we all know Cas wants one) And that’s how the community garden came to be. Cas roped Dean into helping setting it up, and other members of the church contribute, and as they go farther along more and more people come and help (most of which don’t even go to the church). Cas spends a lot of time there, somehow becomes the person everyone goes to for questions even though Cas insists that they don’t have to ask him what to plant where, it’s as much their garden as it is his, they can chose (but they still ask because even though Cas is weird and sometimes doesn’t make sense, he radiates kindness and so people enjoy his company) So yeah, that’s Cas’ community garden, and it’s for everyone (Why is it connected to the church you may ask. Well, I didn’t grow up in a very religious environment, but most people I know who did always talk about how the people in their church are a community. And so I just like the idea that those barriers that keep the christian community together are broken down a bit and that they let in other people with different beliefs, and that they work together towards something, even if that’s just the maintenance of a garden)

Aw wow. I like this a lot! All headcanons relating to Lebanon are great, but this one is really fun. It's accurate and definitely something that Cas, (and then Dean), would do and it would be really great to read. Thought gardens make me think about the meadow and... yeah. 😬

Also the part about religious division within a community is really true. I also didn't grow up super religiously, but I know people who did and I know that these communities can isolate themselves or others, and especially in a tiny town like Lebanon, it would be really good to have them come together like this.

My only question is bees? What about bees? 🐝

I’m sorry this is rubbing you the wrong way. The way I have always seen it is that Dean calls them “Team Free Will” in 5x13 extremely bitterly and miserably. The sense that they aren’t going to win, and they aren’t enough to defeat Michael, at the beginning of his downward spiral where he will be beaten up enough to attempt to say yes to being his vessel. The term then wasn’t used again for 7 years, and even though it got a great fanon following used UNIRONICALLY, and NOT how Dean originally used it, to celebrate the fact that they HAD won and defeated Michael, the symbolism within the show vs the way fanon took it was always a bit wonky.

The actual composition of Team Free Will as a victorious unit can and should stretch to cover Bobby, who was there helping at the true victory at Stull, and Crowley who did his part and was one of their most useful allies in the last few episodes of the season; once he was on their side they ticked off the last few rings very quickly. 

And Gabriel’s speech in 5x19, no matter how he may have been faking it so as not to actually die, but just to shake Lucifer up, was earnestly on the side of the underdog once he FINALLY made his stand, and that stand was in line with the principles of Team Free Will, and he himself over his 2 episodes in season 5 learned to stop just trying to make the script play out - a very similar nihilism about it as Raphael had - and to stand up for humanity. Like it or not, he is one of the only other characters that season to firmly end up on the side of “free will” over picking either Michael or Lucifer. And that was awesome before he came back and I thought he was a brilliant character. 

Being what I consider a mostly to somewhat old school apocalypse era spn fan (that is, I was watching in total isolation from the start so my dates don’t line up to fandom or American viewing until season 7 onwards, but at least I was up to date on the show by season 6 :P) I had a brief moment of bleeh about his return, and then 13x20 and 13x20 won me over, so, fuck it, I’m a current, up to date Gabriel fan now :P We can look back on it that whether he would have been more useful helping them at their side or not, he was still the catalyst for them even having an idea of what they were meant to do, so that Crowley could start helping them, so that Cas, Bobby, Sam and Dean, the core of the real happy positive version of Team Free Will as a family, could defeat Michael and Lucifer. At this point I am firmly in camp “it’s season 13, whatever, they can do what the fuck they want as long as it’s enjoyable and makes some sense” when it comes to Gabriel. 

But, yeah. In season 12 they began foreshadowing the return of Michael to the narrative, and one of those things was having Dean say “Team Free Will” to Cas as the way to express what Cas with all his history as Dean’s friend/brother/husband meant to him and all they’d been through, and the easiest way for Dean to come up with a term that covers the name of his real core family that is the Sam Cas Bobby Dean family. With Bobby dead, it’s just the 3 of them, but that’s still a hugely important distinction to make, that there’s a version of the family where Cas is core, on the same level as Sam is to Dean.

(Which, if you read my watching notes for 13x21, is like how Rowena makes a metacommentary comment about the BM scene Sam, Dean and Cas are having together in the other room while she and Gabriel hook up, because it uses all the terminology we and the show uses to refer to the SalmonDean BM scenes to cover what TFW are doing, which is a wonderful way to indicate that the BM scene is no longer a Sam and Dean exclusive trope, and you KNOW Cas has been joining in on them since ever, but now it’s making it clear that when there’s a TFW BM scene in ANY configuration of Sam and Dean, Dean and Cas, Cas and Sam, that is an official trademarked Supernatural Brotherly Moment Scene, and the ™ doesn’t belong to ONLY Sam and Dean any more.)

And… I don’t know, it depends on where you are about Jack in a meta way, but on a character level way, Jack was hugely meaningful to Cas even before he was born, and once he was born, as ridiculous as you might find the concept of a satan babby plot, on the character level, and on the emotional level, Jack means a LOT to Cas, and the first episode is all about how Jack identifies Cas as his father, rather than Lucifer, and 21 episodes into the season now, it’s clear that Jack has a lot of good in his nougat centre, and his love for TFW is obvious not just for Cas, but that he reacts like that to Sam’s death, and that he has latched onto Mary, too. A blood relative and core of the family, first character to appear on screen in the entire show, now she is back, whatever you feel, again, on any meta level about her return, portrayal, or usage by the writers, she’s of critical emotional importance to Sam and Dean, because she’s MARY, emotional backbone of the show whether you like it or not. And she loves her boys, came to love Cas over season 12, and now she and Jack have bonded to the point of getting Jesus and Mother Mary inverse symbolism to show that she means as much to Jack as Mother Mary as she did to the boys (and the text thank GOD finally called out “Mother Mary” as a concept in 12x12). So if she’s around, she too will be at the core of the family.

Sam’s choice of dinner table family is his brother, his other brother/brother in law, the son he and his brothers have adopted and considers all of them his father, his own mother, and she of course has her own emotional link to Jack that Sam didn’t even know about for sure at that point, but despite being a missing link to him, is one we can fill in, and he could at least have hoped that knowing they were together and fighting together from Charlie’s report, would give him hope (rightly) that this is a true, loving set up his family could have one day. 

Gabriel was NOT at his dinner table, and he blurs a line between “powerful allies” as the recap says, lumped in with Rowena, who fills a spot Crowley ended up having in their list of allies, who is treacherous and you may still want to kill her like, yesterday, but then the next day you might want to fight and die alongside her, and hope she does the same. Gabriel from 5x19 was in that exact same dubious spot. But as Sam points out, he’s uncle to Jack and that’s a blood tie which the show might not value as much as found family, but it sure is a good reason to START to care and form bonds. Technically Jack isn’t “blood” family to Mary, but then if in a normal muggle family, if your son in law adopted a boy you would still consider him fast, good-as-blood family if you LIKED him and were in Mary’s position. Same as Gabriel discovering he’s an uncle. He has the chance to get in on this family in the weird sense that they’ve all bonded so much to the point of close family, that he’s now Dean and Sam’s brother’s brother, uncle to their son, etc etc. He might be more estranged, and in 13x20 they certainly - Dean especially - pushed him hard to explain himself and learn if they cared or not. But Gabriel passed the test and by the time they’re in the AU Dean would at least trust him to fight alongside them and really earn brother in arms at last, wary family member at least by ties, if not by full undying trust.

Like, none of what’s going on there is weird on a character, emotional level in the sense that they’re at least giving Gabriel a chance to come with them. 

I don’t think anyone said “Team Free Will” re: Gabriel so again we’re stretching a fanon term onto him, in the sense that until someone says it for sure, the only new addition to TFW since season 5 is Jack, and that is because Dean’s using TFW as a family term to cover himself, Sam and Cas, and now Jack is TFW by inheritance, as Cas’s son, like, to lack any other surname, this is what you’d put on their driving license if you don’t want to stretch Winchester onto them. I know a lot of fanon since ever has put Gabriel in TFW to balance Sam having an angel in Sabriel dynamics, or just because they like him and he did die for them in 5x19 etc etc as I covered, so if he were alive again people instantly want him to join. I think 13x20 made it clear Dean’s still somewhat holding Gabriel at an arms length before declaring him found family, but he’s at least through several thresholds already, I think TFW is still a closed door to him in terms of how the show has used its language to define him. The closest tie they’ve offered him so far in season 13 is his protestation he helped them in 5x19, and Sam saying they all need Gabriel in 13x18, and reminding him that he’s Jack’s uncle, which is still a large step removed from putting him in the core family unit. 

I think next episode, which is Buckleming, will either wreck this or shake things up or make some more of these connections anvil heavy clear, but at least before they get their grubby mitts on writing at least 11 main named characters all in the same location all at once (I just counted on my fingers, not a randomly chosen number. Ouch.) while trying to deal with the Jack and Lucifer dynamic and everything else they’ve piled up into one spot, this is how I see it all standing, and the dynamics and connections that they’ve built up.

I don’t think it’s a bad thing to have an ensemble cast, and I do think the term TFW has always been more flexible than the original use, in fanon terms, and in terms of if you were ever going to use it positively, it would cover any and all major characters involved in a fight for free will. Which means 10 of those 11 characters may end up in TFW if Buckleming really go wild with it and let like, Lucifer and Ketch and Charlie and AUBobby and so on into it along with Gabriel, Mary and Jack, for the sake of fighting Michael. Which at that point come back to me with the same complaint and I’d probably agree more but specifically about Buckleming being awful :P At the moment I think it’s well-balanced and the characterisation and levels of invested emotion in each dynamic make good sense, and therefore I’m not particularly worried about the emotional integrity of the phrase Team Free Will… At least for 4 more days :D

hi!! i am so sorry for the late reply. i started answering this and then got tired and then forgot about it completely until just now but thank you for the ask!!

Shows:

okay i liked Wayward Sisters but (oh this is gonna get me vilified on here) i guess i'm not as big of a supporter of it as others on here are? for me to really be into something, i need several episodes of it preferably even after one another and i just feel like the characters weren't fleshed out as well as they could have? i mean i loveeee jody and donna and i liked claire but besides them, i didn't feel like the characters were as fleshed out as they could have been? and we didn't see enough of them for me to be invested i guess? and the other thing is that we only got a pilot that set up the story for them (i mean we got stuff before that but the pilot was a sort of beginning) and just a backdoor pilot is not enough for me to love it? i WISH they did pick it up so that I could see an actual pilot and episodes after that where the characters could stand on there own. honestly pretty much all shows that i have watched for years, i still don't feel connected to the characters because they're not as fleshed out as they should be. But i do think, with Bobo at the helm, that if Wayward Sisters was given an actual go, the characters would have started to be more fleshed out. So for everyone on here, i wish that Wayward Sisters was picked up because I know how much it means for everyone on here

BUTTTTT selfishly, i would want the Jackles sequel reboot because from what he's said and the people he's brought on or what has been speculated, i think we could be pleasantly surprised (even though i hate john winchester's guts) but i really wanna see what he's gonna do.

they're both so depressing but in different ways. i guess endverse!cas purely because honey!cas was just abandoned in that hospital. enverse!cas at least was by dean's side. but both of them mentally not healthy at all which is saying something because all three of tfw isn't mentally well in the present of this show either.

Pairings:

Okay, i thought about it when i first got this ask and i had this really clever answer but i've forgotten the first part lol. but jackles/dean because dean would wanna bang jensen (before cas came into the picture) and jensen is so severely enamored by dean, i guess he'd let him (as far as we're thinking about this). Misha i feel like has given so much to get cas as in love with dean, he wouldn't touch cas and cas would also just not be interested because he's just dean all the way even before he realized it.

Anything:

Charlie and Cas 100%. I just love charlie sooooooo much and i would have loved for her to not be murdered (fucking buckleming) and for her and cas to go off and have adventures and for her to question him about dean and him not getting it etc.

Destiel meta. Visual Narrative Meta. 15x09 meta. The trap.

Okay, we didn't have much visual elements in this episode, I infer because it was directed by Singer, but because now I'm counting with my talented friend's gifsets, thank you @agusvedder ! I'm able to write more about these two in love.

Visual Narrative

I just will point here a couple of things. One I already said it in my first meta. Let's see...

Mourning! Dean like a widow.

Inside Sam's visions of the future, we had a jump into the 2021, Dean was mourning Castiel, as my friend @mrsaquaman187 marked us in our discussion, his facial expression and voice tone was just like that time in episode 13x03 when he was yelling to Sam about Cas being dead. And if you pay attention to his wardrobe, he had a black plaid and his usual black t-shirt. Just like a widow. Giving the visual context to his pain.

Destiel colors

Agus pointed me this scene...

Dean with blue sky and Cas with green. A beautiful Destiel scenario.

But now, the most meaningful scene were Eileen and Sam, again, mirroring Destiel (remember I mentioned they are the guide for the steps Destiel will follow?) Well, now they were recalling the WE ARE scene, dressed with Destiel colors...

And we even had a kiss there!!!

Castiel will be the one avoiding Dean's love confession

And this is a huge spec my husband has since season 14, and I didn't want to believe, but last night's episode gave me clues to admit... Maybe he's right... (But don't tell him 🤣).

My husband said Castiel will reject Dean's love confession, or avoid it. Because his deal with the Empty.

Obviously, the sauce on this dish is Dean won't know about that deal till Cas maybe will be taken by him? IDK, but, yeah, that's a very angsty sauce.

But let's check why I think Dean is ready to say the L word to Cas ...

First...

My first sensation he was about to say it was in the prayer (I know there's a lot of people than hears an drowning I love you in the middle of a gasp, but I will say, I really truly believe Dean's I Love You to Cas will be loud, and meaningful, and it will be face to face. Because is the most important thing for him and Cas. So... I can say too maybe they filmed that on purpose that way, so we could be like crazy persons asking each other did he said it?? As we are now, and each time I hear it it seems like if he was saying it... But really, for me, it looked more like... He almost said it.

The prayer began with a very desperate Dean, he was maybe imagining that Castiel could be dead. The despair in his face was immense. He couldn't lost his angel again!

Realization in Purgatory for Dean : Castiel is everything to him.

So... Before asking for forgiveness, Dean kneeled. If praying was like begging to him, then, he will beg to the love of his life, for forgiveness. He cried. Honesty all over, and I truly thought he will say the L word, because I felt he was ready.

The second time I thought he will do it was in this scene...

When Cas was talking how he escaped and got the blossom, Dean made this face... This is a face of someone about to jump to the pull. Anxiety, heart eyes, and tryin to encourage himself to do it. Do what? A love confession.

He repeated two times YOU DID IT, CAS. And after that, he goes for it...

Here... What was Dean about to say? I'm sorry again??? I don't think so, he had let that very clear in his prayer, and he knows Cas heard him, because he always hears his prayers... Then? What was he about to say?? Adding the previous face we already analyzed... First the jumping into the pull face, going through some heart eyes session, now is time... For the love confession... But.. Cas avoided it...

Cas thought Dean wanted to say I'm sorry again? No. I truly believe Cas knows what was Dean about to say.. because look...

Dean looks disappointed... Almost hurted.. Cas picked that, and blinks nervously. Yes. He knew what Dean was about to say. But he can't hear it. He can't allow himself to be happy and being dragged by the Empty. Not yet. The mission goes first.

Dean is like Ok, ok... You don't want to hear it? Okay... And he swallowed his very words.

And Cas face is suing I'm sorry, here... Damn... This scene was... So angsty, look how Dean lowered his face! Is this a fic? Someone in this fandom wrote this, come on Berens!

Dean is dad now. Maybe the doubts? Maybe more fears? I don't know. But what I do know is, DEAN IS READY AND DETERMINATED TO SAY I LOVE YOU, AND HE WILL. BUT THIS TIME CASTIEL IS THE ONE AVOIDING IT, BECAUSE HE CAN'T ALLOW HIMSELF TO BE HAPPY.

Miscellaneous Observation:

Talking about Profound Bond, as I did in my first meta (the YOU MADE IT, to Dean was an indicative of Dean finding Castiel through their connection), I will add something I noticed... When they were about to leave Purgatory, Castiel pointed with his head to his left, we presume is the direction to the rift and the exit, but at the beginning of the scene, we saw Dean walking straight, and not to that direction, yes, he was searching for Castiel and the profound bond and his huge longing for his angel, lead him to Cas.

To Conclude

I could talk about this episode the whole day, but basically, Purgatory did what he did before, he gave Dean the certain, the acknowledgement of what was pure in his heart, what he really wants: and like he did in season 8, he wanted his angel back.

Dean is ready to confess his feelings to Cas for all the reasons I gave here and many more in my first meta: He realized he can't live without Castiel, he realized he loves him deeply, and he can't lose him again.

Now that he knows and he wants to confess his love for the angel, is Cas who can't allow it. Because they have a mission and a love confession from Dean would mean the happiness for him, and he just can't let the Empty to take him, he is afraid and he is focused on the mission.

So yes, my husband was right, it looks like...

Our Hearts

Destiel. Roweena. TFW. VISUAL NARRATIVE META 15x03 The Rupture.

Hi my beautiful fandom, I had to come back and write another meta, this one is about Visual Narrative.

The Destiel meta from this episode is here...

Okay, I already talked about some important things I saw at first in my other metas like ATLAS statue behind Dean and pink color dress in Roweena.

But I have another interesting things to add...

Our Hearts are not beating

Okay, let's talk about how Ketch's heart was ripped ...

The pics and the gifs were made by my beautiful friend @agusvedder ...

Look, Ketch was wearing a green gown. The green is representing Dean, as you already know after hearing me saying this for one billion times, I know you still love me 😜💞.

But yeah... The Demon reapped his heart like nothing and showed him giving it's last beats... Horrible... But... Romantic? Is this Hannibal show? 🤣🤣

But after this we had this...

There was not VITAL SIGNAL on the screen... And is GREEN AND BLUE (DESTIEL NOT BEATING, NOT BREATHING) the pause, the death... The break up... That's how Dean and Cas will feel after breaking up and be apart.

Now... More hearts?

The grave says... OUR HEARTS just over Dean's head... And is written on a gravestone... Creepy but... Again mixing hearts with ripped hearts, death and not signal.

This was the prelude for the LOVEES SEPARATION my dears... don't forget Belphagor in 15x01 ripping another heart from that RIGHTEOUS MAN the sheriff, Dean's mirror.

And the grave with Carver's name on it, recalling another season talking about ripped hearts, and eaten hearts... And mostly that crypt scene... Damn...

Roweena and Jack on scene

This was Roweena preparing the spell...

See the window behind her? With Beautiful sun light? She will be the one to make the ultimate sacrifice to save this world... In contraposition to Belphagor...

The light is dim, and the place is darker than the first one, they were like connected by the spell in that moment, but this two scenes showed us the huge difference between Roweena actions and Belphagor intentions.

Another thing you need to keep in mind is Roweena is wearing a blue necklace (Cas colored coded) and a pink dress as I pointed before .. this is important because I need you to pay attention to the following idea ...

Mixing scenes between Samwitch and Destiel

We know Bobo likes to mix scenes to make us see why is related one with the other... But it caught my attention the dialogues in the mixed scenes...

Roweena asked Sam to kill her, and even if he didn't want it, he did it... And it was mixed with CAS and Dean dialogue, and Dean yelling at him WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING? THAT WAS OUR LAST SHOT!

And my spec brain started to think about what if at the end of the season Dean wants to sacrifice himself, because he's Atlas here, and Cas takes his place, and dies by Dean's hand... This isn't a new spec, my friend @emblue-sparks thought about it first but I will tell you girl... Here you have one evidence for that... Damn... I hope this is not gonna happen and some miracle occurs...

But Roweena in pink (happiness) wearing a blue necklace (Castiel) sacrificing herself... Isn't good sign...

Healing Dean is coming back

Please pay attention to the following scene...

Let's talk first about Sam, he's wearing the same v collar t-shirt he wore when they were back from AU and he was celebrating with Roweena... Just because I'm feeling like Belphagor here, putting some salt in our hearts...

And this scene...

Beautiful scene and my friends it looks like a coven, I know, we need at least three members, but... It looks like that to me... And there's Sam

But let's come back to the first pic I put, the title of this part is calling Healing!Dean is coming back, because what he see there is two red shirts hanging on the wall... Toxic!Dean will be gone and Dean in green there is talking about his new process, facing Castiel's departure, and trying to fix things, maybe the talk will be brought in that context. We hope so...

To Conclude

This episode had a lot of visual narrative, and it showed us ripped hearts and Destiel colored no vital signs.

Roweena dressed as Happiness and Castiel's colored necklace gave me goosebumps, and one ugly spec I won't talk about again.

The Destiel Break up, or Lovers Separation will be brought Healing!Dean again, and we will be witness of Dean's change of behavior.

TFW: Loosing Synchronization

Okay, second meta here!

I'm not gonna talk sweet to your ears tonight, because I noticed a couple of things... Sad things but.. well, we 've been already told about Castiel going away... **Sobbing**...

Let's do this for once...

Sam and the shot in the soulder

Okay my dears... I want to show you this two scenes from season 14 that caught my attention and I asked @agusvedder the gif...

Dean using a blue handkerchief in Sam's head. He's hurt... And now this one from the last episode from s14...

Is the same handkerchief now in his wounded shoulder... We need to make the connection between the head and the wound by that special weapon... When Castiel tried to heal it... We had this...

Is that the Sammy who drank demon blood with his psychic powers?? Okay, don't let me put my expectations too high, but, this is one of my specs... Remember? No? Well... Here is the link to Psychic!Sammy from s14.

Okay, I think o was clear with that point... Maybe this special wound that can't be healed, is leading us towards one Sam with powers? I hope so...

Now we have to talk about Sam and his fears... The clown.

He was trying to defeat this clown (the symbolical representation of his fears) and he failed each time, Cas saved him twice. The only presence of that ghost made Sam being erratic and unfocused. That's why he shot Cas mistake.

The good thing is that was ONE SPELL (magic) the thing that helped them to get rid from the ghosts, and Sam saying SHUT UP to the clown, to his fears, is good, very good thing.

Finally, we saw Sam saving that little girl and her m, and then he was accompanying them outside the car. That's Sam. So kind that my heart is melting. But this represents too the lost. Sam said in the last episode from s14 he had lost enough. In the beginning of this episode he doesn't have time to mourn his son (Jack) and he watches him laying on the ground in that crypt with pain and sorrow. So saving one family it represents a lot to him.

Dean recalling his past as a torturer, and pushing away Castiel

When the demon mentioned he's a Dean fan, because he's a legend as a torturer, I thought damn... Dean is gonna freak out. But no. He took it as something that happened in his life, and he already moved on.

He's more worried about the cage... (OMG is open! Hello Adam! Wellcome back!)

Now, when he cut Castiel off... (Dean... You brat) he goes to talk with Sam... And the dialogue is like another dialogue we saw between the brothers so so many times. Sam is the one with hopes, seeing the light by the end of the tunnel. And Dean is a little bitter... As he had been being lately... Gee.

But... When he mentions YOU AND ME AGAINST THE HELL'S SOULS. He doesn't even count on Cas anymore. It was I BELIVE IN US, IN ALL OF US, to JUST YOU (Sam) AND ME.

That's it, something is broken. That's why he's pushing Castiel away. And he will regret this... As I said in my Destiel meta... Ripped heart...

Nobody understands Castiel's silent pain

When Dean asked Cas to stay in the car and watch the demon, he said no, bc he couldn't even see his face. And he were waiting for some understanding from Dean. We didn't have that, but Dean rolling his eyes. He didn't understand the huge pain Cas was feeling for Jack's lost. He didn't even have time to mourning him and now his corpse that they should be burning with a hunter funeral, is possesed by a demon, an abomination, as he named him.

But no, even Sam and Dean were agreed accepting his help. Poor Cas... Nobody understands his pain. We do.

Then, Sam shot him, it wasn't on purpose, but that mere action is symbolic. It represents he is unsynchronized with Sam. Cas and Sam were the perfect team. They compliment each other so so we'll, as I pointed so many times. But this graphic scene, shows us they're not in the same page now.

We had one scene in which the mom was trying to hide her daughter from the monster (the clown) and it caught my attention the girl was dressed in pink (remember pink in episode 14x15? Representing Castiel's happiness?) Okay, so this woman was tryin to hide the happiness from the monster... Mmmm is this telling us Castiel will reach happiness and will try to avoid the Empty??? Let's see...

In another scene we had this same girl watching a black puddle, like hypnotized... And wow, the monster almost get her. 🙈🙊😭

The last scene, Castiel watching Sam walking the woman and the little girl, longing his family, longing for Jack. With a sad expression in his face... And when Dean was asking him how was he... Castiel was softening his face, he was about to talk with Dean, to really talk with him about how he felt, he said GOOD, BUT... And Dean just cut him off... And Castiel's face again with such a pain...

Damn... This is a sad meta. Because my angel is sad... 😭😭😭💙💙💙💙

To Conclude:

There's something wild happening with Sam's elbow wound, and is connected with his mind and maybe, with his past as a psychic.

Dean had moved on about his last as a torturer. But he's still mad at Castiel, and he's pushing him away from him.

Castiel is feeling odd, nobody is understanding his pain, and he will eventually leave the team. Not feeling it like the family it was once.
