hey hi hello am I ranting abt this scene again? yes, but in the arabic dub this time? yes :D

it's kinda weird they changed sora's spinjitzu object line to 'أن يمكنك أن تعطيها لاشخاص آخرين'، which basically means ''you can give it (the spinjitzu) to other people", when he only gives it to objects, was اشياء غير حية so hard to say 😭

even if it's a lipsync problem, 'Ashkhas Aakhareen' (original line) neither does 'Ashya'a gheir hayyah' sync with 'Inanimate objects' anyway lmao, but 'Ashya'a gheir hayyah' would've made more sense bc it literally means 'inanimate objects'

I also noticed they changed sora's ''your spinjitzu's been good since I met you'' line to "لديك رائعة جدا Spinjitzuمهارات ال" which just simply means 'your spinjitzu skills are very amazing' , and even tho I'm a bit disappointed since that line was actually my fav to point out in the english dub, I gotta be honest they have made it up w/ another line (now onto the actual analysing bit 👍)

said line is the one at the end before arin leaves "لكنني لست كذالك، Ninja يجب أن اصبح"

in the original, arin says ''I need to get better at being a ninja, but I'm not" right? here, he instead says "I need to/should be a ninja, but I'm not"

in the eng dub, he's saying that he is a ninja, but he just needs to get better. here, he's saying he should be, doubting if he was even a ninja in the first place

sure it's just a minor difference with almost the same meaning, since both say 'but I'm not' at the end. but arin in the eng dub already implied he's a ninja, doubting if he actually is one. while here he just..simply denies it. he's saying he should be one, as if he wasn't one in the first place, and then completely confirms that he denies the fact when he says ''but I'm not''. and yeah that just hurts 👍👍👍

My very good headcanon about the whole Khajiit embassy thing during the 2E Interregnum (ESO)

(presented in the form of a WIP snippet. a lot of said WIP is journal entries. 1.2k words. G rated.)

“As you may have heard, there have been frequent delays and setbacks in building the Khajiiti embassy,” Eymei explained as we began making our way up the long stone stairway to the Altmeri embassy. “It’s been years now, and ground still hasn’t been broken.” 

“This is unsurprising, given who is in charge of building it…”

Eymei rolled her eyes apologetically. “Yes. In fact we in the Thalmor heard rumors that the Altmer ambassadors were deliberately slowing the process, if you can believe that.”

I could, of course.

We stopped momentarily to assess the fashion choices of the rowdy adventurers congregated outside the Undaunted enclave, and Eymei spoke as we watched. “As the de facto cultural stewards of the Dominion, the Thalmor kept receiving items meant for the future embassy. The Mane, Queen Khamira, and other Khajiiti dignitaries have sent all manner of books, documents, artwork, religious artifacts, and cultural pieces.” She paused as we both became distracted by an Argonian with glowing armor. “Some of the goods were even sent in beautiful masterwork caravan wagons. It began to be difficult to store all of it.”

I looked up just in time to avoid being knocked out by an empty mead mug, which had apparently been tossed into the air after being depleted. Eymei and I decided we were not currently drunk enough to be among the Undaunted, and resumed our climb. “Surely, there must be a musty basement or abandoned cave somewhere that you Elves would see fit to stash Khajiiti cultural treasures? Until the embassy gets built, of course.”

“Oh, you Khajiit need not worry; I am certain a leaky barn will eventually be graciously provided,” Eymei said. As we reached the landing of the long stairway, I thought I saw her suppress a smile, but at the time I did not yet know why. “A few of the prominent Baandari clan mothers heard of the tragic construction delays and storage problems, and sent some beautiful high-quality tents—large, weather-resistant, and very durable.”

As she finished speaking, we finally reached the top of the stairs, and there I saw several huge Baandari bazaar tents set up on the lawn of the Altmeri embassy! Ah ha! Oh, it lightened my heart immediately! “How did the Elves ever allow this? How could this happen?”

“An outrage, no?” Eymei folded her arms across her chest and shook her head. “As you can well imagine, such disrespect for proper procedure has me incensed,” she said, with the prim Altmeri seriousness she employs only when she is not serious. “The rumor is that the Khajiiti immigrants who had transported the tents here came up with the plan. Supposedly, they recruited the help of a couple of Eyes of the Queen, some Vinedusk Rangers, and a few sympathetic Altmer from the Thalmor.” Oh? I nudged her with my elbow, and she smirked at me, but quickly returned her gaze to the tents and resumed her disapproving Altmeri stare. “Of course, one never can say exactly how these things happen! One morning, all of Elden Root simply awoke to a brand new Khajiiti embassy.”

And it is actually quite an impressive embassy! The largest tent is truly massive, larger than some of the buildings on the embassy grounds. Inside it was beautifully appointed with wooden platform floors and waxed-canvas walls to keep out the Valenwood rains; a relaxing communal meeting space with Elsweyri rugs, cushions, and furniture. Under another of the tents, opulently carved and colorfully painted traveling merchant wagons were open to display their contents: a few carts made up a decently-sized library, another two housed exhibits of Khajiiti woodcarving and sculpture, and another held an impressive number of temple artifacts from all over Elsweyr. Another tent housed offices and embassy services—it really was functioning completely as an embassy!

Surrounding the main tents, there were several smaller tents and carts where chefs were cooking Khajiiti food, and artisans were selling their handicrafts. There were musicians performing, children running around, and people laughing and playing games on the lawn—this is what I loved most! Of course an unsanctioned embassy that rankles Elves is a testament to sleek Khajiiti cleverness, but Khajiiti cleverness is to be expected, yes? The lively atmosphere was the genuine treasure; a true slice of home. If I’d closed my eyes, I could imagine I was in Riverhold. What a beautiful thing to find in Elden Root!

When I turned to Eymei, she was grinning wildly at my reaction, waiting for me to say something.

“It is… the closest thing I have felt to walking through Riverhold’s marketplace,” I said, and I could not fully mask the sound of sadness in my throat. We both looked at the ground for a moment; it will be a long time before it is safe for this one to return to Riverhold... But, I did not want to be sad in such a place! And anyway, to be truthful, I have found it more difficult to remain sad around Eymei. I will not tell her this. “Have you eaten at these carts? Is the food good?”

Eymei looked sheepish. “Heh, I have eaten here a few times, but… I am… trying to… uh… develop a taste for sweet cuisine,” she said, “so it is hard for me to say whether the food is good.” 

This was so adorable to me! I will not tell her this. I laughed, and she looked away in embarrassment! Bright Moons, dear Eymei, why ever would you be trying to cultivate a taste for Khajiiti food? Ha, what a beautiful thing to find in Elden Root.

The embassy has become a popular spot for people of all races to congregate in the evenings. I can see why—it is hard to beat the location, ha! Apparently complaints from the Altmeri ambassadors—about the noise, the food smells, the rambunctious children, the merchants, the music—have largely gone unheard. Eymei said she’d heard that the Chief Ambassador went as far as appealing to both King Camoran and Queen Ayrenn, but so far has had difficulty receiving a response. 

It is the perfect Khajiiti embassy, yes? As an embassy should, it brings about greater cultural understanding, and in this case, celebrates the Khajiiti ability to inhabit many truths at once. It is a monument, yet built as if on shifting sands. Although it exists, it also does not exist—after all, ground still has yet to be broken on the embassy! As we always do, Khajiit make a fine art of standing conspicuously in places we are not wanted. Yet, there, one feels Khajiiti hospitality—Khajiit can be true ambassadors; we have brought the best things about Elsweyr to the people of Elden Root. Let’s see the Elves build us a structure of stone which can accomplish that!
