Game Night
*I hear you! I hear you! I come bearing some platonic fun of Peter, Felix, and Reader having a very violent game night on Neverland. Enjoy!*
~~~
“I WILL FUCKING END YOU!”
“COME AT ME YOU LANKY ASS PIECE OF SHIT!”
“I WILL PLUCK OUT YOUR EYES AND USE THEM AS FISH BAIT, LOST GIRL!”
“Felix, by god, just take the cards!” Peter snapped.
“I was down to three!” Felix fumed, “She shouldn’t be able to stack cards like that! It has to be against the rules or something!”
“My game! My rules!” You had tossed the rules pamphlet into the ocean just so no one could check. “Now shut up and take your cards!”
“Fucking bitch,” Felix muttered as he drew ten cards to his hand, “You were hoarding those for this moment, I know it.”
“How about you stop bellyaching just cause you suck at this.”
“I did not think a card game would get so violent,” Peter sighed, “But this is vastly more entertaining.”
“That’s the consensus when it comes to this type of game,” you shrugged. Maybe bringing games from your realm was not the smartest move. It was all fine and well to threaten to murder your siblings over a game of Uno knowing it was all just play acting. On Neverland though you were fairly certain that someone may wind up dead in the heat of competition. That’s what made it interesting though.
“Wild card,” Felix set a card down, “Change it to red.”
“You fucking asshole!” Peter seethed, “I don’t have any red!”
“Oh how sad,”
Peter went through pulling more and more cards until he finally drew a red one and set it down. With a mischievous grin you placed a red reverse card down sending the turn back to Peter. “You absolute bitch!” He went back to drawing cards, “This cannot be real. One of you is hoarding red cards.”
“I’m sure I don’t know what you mean,” Felix smirked.
“All the cards are gonna be red soon if you reverse me again,” Peter finally set down another red card.
“And I would love to see you try,” Felix dropped red card after red card before ending it on a reverse back to Peter.
“ARE YOU KIDDING ME!” He shouted, “You know what? That’s a three and I have a yellow three so we’re going back to yellow!”
“And I have a blue three so the color is now blue,” you put down your card.
“I hate this game,” Felix groaned, shuffling through his large handful of cards.
“It could be worse,” you said, “We could be playing monopoly or parcheesi.” you were thankful that there was no way to hook up a video game system here because the rage that would be expelled during a game of Mario Kart would be astronomical.
“I do not know what either of those are but if they are anything like this than I am sure that someone will end up dead.” Peter laughed. “Oh Felix, by the way, back to green and draw four.”
“That’s it!” Felix lunged at him. You dodged out of the way as Felix and Peter went tumbling head over heels, the cards they had been holding now scattered across the jungle floor. That seemed like a good enough point to start packing it up. You started gathering the cards and watched out of the corner of your eye as Felix and Peter grappled with one another.
A part of you wondered how much of that was anger and how much was sexual tension. Probably an equal amount.
You packed up the cards and went to another group of boys. “Hey, you guys wanna play?”
“Weren’t you playing with Felix and Pan?” one of the boys asked.
“Well, I was and then things got a little heated.” you jutted a thumb back over your shoulder where the boys were still rolling around on the ground throwing punches.
“Is Pan gonna kill him?”
“Nah,” you shrugged and sat down, “So, who’s in?”
“Uh…” their focus was still on Peter and Felix.
You shook your head and turned around, “Hey! Either one of you land a punch or make out! You can’t just roll around on the ground all night.”
“We are not--” Felix started to say before Peter’s foot kneed him hard in the stomach. That flew him back into a rage and punched Peter in the face.
“This is the most violent form of flirting I have ever seen,” you sighed and turned back to the other group of lost boys. “So? Shall I explain the rules?”
Do I sense some jealousy? From the prompts please ☺️
More from my Nerd!Michael / BadBoy!Alex series. Because why not?
****
“Do I sense some jealousy?” Alex asks, leaning back against the mirror and making himself comfortable on the counter while Michael washes his hands.
“I’m not jealous,” he says, hating the amused smirk that Alex has on. “I just thought… This is supposed to be date night. And I don’t understand why we have to spend it with my siblings.”
“Because I’m actively trying to make sure your siblings don’t hate me,” Alex says, tugging on Michael’s wrists when he’s done drying off his hands to pull him closer. He steps in between Alex’s legs easily, leaning most of his weight against Alex’s chest while Alex’s arms move around his shoulders.
“Why do you care what they think?” he grumbles.
The thing is, it's not really Alex that he’s mad at. It’s Isobel. Isobel and her stupid fucking underhanded shit. Michael knows that’s exactly who orchestrated this night. Alex Manes, in all of his ‘I hate the world and everyone in it except for you’ glory did not come up with the idea for a family game night himself. And with how much of a disaster game nights are in his family, there’s no way anyone but Isobel would have suggested this.
“Because they’re important to you,” Alex says.
Michael shakes his head.
“I don’t care what they think,” he argues. Because it’s true. Isobel and Max have both tried to talk him out of dating Alex, but here they are. Together. He doesn’t care if they never accept Alex. He’s happy and that’s all that matters.
“You absolutely care what they think,” Alex says. “You guys don’t do anything without the other’s approval. And they hate me. Which is fine. I can handle it. But it’s killing you and I hate that. If there’s something I can do to help them see that I’m not out here to steal your virtue or whatever it is they are worried about, I’ll do it.”
“Pretty sure you’ve already stolen my virtue,” Michael says, thinking back to several days ago, how Alex had led him into the locker room, sat him down on that narrow wooden bench and proceeded to blow Michael like his life depended on it. And if that wasn’t virtue-stealing enough, Alex had made good on his promise of a celebration after his win yesterday and Michael had finally gotten to return the favor, tasting Alex for the first time.
Alex ducks his head to cover a blush and Michael is still baffled with the idea that he has that kind of power over Alex. That he, nerdy, insecure, nobody Michael Evans can make Alex Manes blush.
“Not completely,” Alex says, the words quiet and a little bit insecure.
“Not yet,” he says, leaning in to kiss Alex’s cheek.
“We should probably head out there before they think we’re doing anything scandalous,” Alex says and attempts to move off the counter, but Michael reaches for his hips to hold him in place.
“Wait,” he says. “I need to warn you…”
Alex gives him a weary look.
“There’s, uh, a reason my mom has banned us from playing anything but cooperative games,” Michael says with a blush.
Alex looks at him curiously, waiting for him to explain.
“When the three of us play games, we get super competitive,” he says. “They, um, they usually end in bloodshed. Often literally.”
“No,” Alex gasps, amused. “The perfect Evans kids? You guys are joined at the hip. I can’t picture you guys ever fighting. Bloodshed over Monopoly is some Manes family bullshit.”
Michael shrugs, feeling a bit better that Alex isn’t judging him, but still worried that tonight’s going to be a disaster and scare Alex off.
“Three’s a hard number,” he explains. “We usually get along, but there’s a reason our mom stopped putting us in the same activities. It’s not good. And when we play games, somebody always teams up and it’s two against one and doesn’t end well.”
“I can see that from your sister, but I can’t imagine you ever losing your temper on anyone. Let alone your siblings,” Alex says.
“I’m not some Pollyanna. Stuff pisses me off,” he says, a bit annoyed.
“I know that,” Alex says, reaching up to brush a curl back from his forehead. “You get mad all the time, but you just never let anyone see it. You bottle it down like a good little boy, no matter how much people push you.”
Michael shrugs, but he can’t deny that the comment throws him for a minute. The fact that Alex really does see him in a way that nobody else but his siblings ever has. It’s nice. It’s really nice. He’s not used to many people seeing him clearly.
“I guess I’m just proud to know that you’re capable of standing up for yourself,” Alex says, leaning in to give him a sweet kiss as Michael blushes. “There goes that adorable blush again.”
Michael moves his head to try and hide his face, but Alex just nuzzles his nose into Michael’s cheek before kissing it.
“You sure you’re ready for this?” Michael asks one last time to be sure. “We can still sneak out the back.”
Alex shakes his head. “Your siblings don’t scare me.”
And though Michael’s not sure that’s entirely true now that he knows the real Alex Manes underneath all that black eyeliner and false bravado of his, he takes his words at face value.
He steps back so that Alex can slide off the counter.
“Just so we are on the same page, under no circumstances can we let Isobel win,” he says as he opens the bathroom door.
“Got it,” Alex says, not sounding remotely convincing.
“I mean it,” he says, thinking about what a monster Isobel will be if she wins.
“Okay,” Alex agrees, again, not sounding convincing.
Michael glares at him. “You’re gonna let her win aren’t you?”
Alex smiles innocently and Michael knows that’s exactly what he’s going to do. He groans, picturing the way Isobel is going to brag about this for weeks. She’s going to be insufferable.
“You owe me a date night,” he says as they step back into the living room where Max and Isobel are setting up for the night.
“Anywhere you want,” Alex promises with a smile and a wink that makes it difficult for him to stay mad at him. Secretly, Michael is glad that Alex is trying, even if he can’t say the same for his siblings. Michael is still hopeful that once his family gets to know the real Alex like he has, they’ll love him every bit as much as Michael does.
Game Night
Pairing: Hargreeves!Siblings x Gender-Neutral!Sibling!Reader
Summary: The Hargreeves siblings bonded with each other through their game night, a moment when peace and quiet weren’t welcome in their house.
Warning(s): Siblings banter, swearing
A/N: Hello, guys! It has been a while since I last posted something and I am truly sorry, but I was in a really bad place for a very long time. Gladly, The Umbrella Academy season 2 came out recently and it gave me some inspirations to continue my writing. It’s my first TUA imagine, so comments and feedbacks are highly appreciated. Also, English is not my first language and my writing is very rusty and inexperient. - G. x
“UNO!” Klaus excitedly announced as he threw his next-to-last UNO card on the wooden centre table, only one card remaining on his left hand. You, together with your other six siblings, shot him a sharp death glare, miffed and tired of him and his actions.
It was the Hargreeves siblings’ game night and the game was either UNO or Monopoly. Everyone happily chose the former, outnumbering the latter, to avoid another huge family mess - Monopoly ruined your relationship with each other many times and the last game turned out so badly that Allison and Diego almost killed Five for bankrupting them.
“What do you mean UNO again?” Diego frustratingly asked his brother, grip tightening around the massive deck of cards in his hand. He got a huge chain of Draw Twos and Wild Draw Fours in the previous turn, needing to draw eighteen cards in total for the stacking penalty.
Klaus nonchalantly laughed, grabbing another bottle of beer from the table. “It’s just a game. Chill out, Diego!”
Ben took a stinging and deep sigh, frowning as he faced Klaus once again. “Yes, it is just a game, but we have been playing for more than an hour now and neither of us has won, except for you.”
“Sore losers!” The defending champion playfully remarked, enjoying his siblings’ disputes while admiring his new bottle of beer.
“Shut the fuck up!” You all shouted in unison while you threw every cushion towards Klaus’ direction.
Klaus kept on laughing, neatly hiding his precious card under a cushion as he grabbed the bottle opener. “I am loving this moment so much!”
You rolled your eyes and took a sip of beer. “I swear, Klaus! If you’re using your powers again to win this game, you’re dead.”
“I bet he is!” Luther commented and the rest of the siblings agreed to his statement, Ben and Vanya shaking their heads in disbelief.
Klaus nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders and smirked. “It’s not my fault if I am extremely talented.”
“Yeah, Cheater, your Caspers should be banned from this house.” Diego muttered, eyes now focused on his deck.
“Klaus, you are no fun!” Ben pointed out, remembering him the rules of not using your powers during game night soon after.
Five obnoxiously cleared his throat, catching everyone’s attention. “Are we done crying? You are interrupting my turn!”
“Bitchy!” Allison and Vanya declared, both of them giving him a go on playing his card.
“Thank you, sisters!” Five sarcastically replied, throwing a Wild Card after taking a huge bite out of his peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich. “Yellow!”
“We are technically against Klaus right now, Five.” Ben rolled his eyes as he had to fish a card.
“Well, actually, thank you, Five!” Vanya proudly smiled, enthusiastically dropping her second last card on the table. “UNO!”
The champion’s eyes suddenly grew wide, alarmed that he might lose this turn, and Vanya gave him a toothy smile as you and your siblings noisily cheered for her.
“Luther, please have a reverse card!” You hoped as you played your yellow card.
“Boring deck, sorry!” Luther sincerely apologised as he dropped a normal yellow card, passing the turn to Diego.
Diego attentively observed his cards and he exasperatedly looked at all of you. “All of these cards, but no fucking yellow. Five, you son of a bitch, where did you learn how to shuffle cards? You’re so bad at it!”
“Maybe the Game Gods just hate you so much, Diego!” Five counter-attacked and loud chuckles flew across the room.
“He’s just a kid, Diego,” You playfully pointed out, earning a round of laughter from your siblings. “cut him some slack.”
“Oh, fucking shut up, (Y/N)!” Five fiercely responded and you laughed louder than the usual, realising how much of a crier the Hargreeves siblings were.
“Fish a card, loser!” Allison demandingly obligated Diego and he grumbled in response, reporting that he has almost lost his patience for the shitty game that you were playing.
“Please don’t let Klaus win, Allison.” Ben sweetly pleaded, his sweet puppy dog eyes showing.
“Sis, I am about to win,” Vanya reminded her, happily shaking her last UNO card. “please skip Klaus.”
Allison guiltily looked at her cards and silently mumbled an apology, playing a normal yellow card and letting Klaus proceed on his turn. Everyone around the table groaned and hoped that he wasn’t holding a yellow or a same-numbered card.
“Yeah, hate me all you want,” Klaus proudly sang after drinking his beer bottom up, throwing his last card soon after. “but I still fucking won.”
Complaints and insults flew across the room while the winner celebrated and gave high fives on different empty spots behind him.
“Fuck you and your ghosts, Cheater!” Ben playfully exclaimed, grip still tight on his cards.
“You would be my ghost bitch, if (Y/N) didn’t save you that night, idiot!” Klaus reminded him, making Ben sigh exasperatedly. You were shocked that Klaus brought the incident up once again, but before you could comment on it, Diego has already spoken up.
“I am so done with these stupid games.” He messily threw his cards on the table. “Can we abolish game night, please? All of us are, now, adults. Well, most of us.”
“Just because the Game Gods are against you, you want to abolish Hargreeves siblings’ game night? That’s unfair, bro! Besides, it’s the only time we don’t stress about our adulthood.” It was impossible that Diego hadn’t got a possible move earlier so you checked his cards properly and you judgingly looked at him. “For fucking real, dumbass? I refuse to believe this.”
The siblings started shutting their mouths up and they paid you their whole attention, eyes filled with curiosity. “What?”
You grabbed a special card from Diego’s deck and raised it in the air. “Diego had the Swap Hand Card and never played it!”
Diego furrowed his eyebrows, not fully understanding what you meant. “The what?”
“Swap Hand Card.” You repeated. “It meant that you could fucking swap cards to anyone you wanted.”
“What the hell?” He was still confused, but frustration quickly wrapped his face as soon as he processed the new information. “I thought it was just a Jolly card and I had it in all of the previous games.”
The room was soonly filled with laughter and insults towards your idiot brother.
“For fuck’s sake, Diego!” Luther shook his head in disappointment as he loudly laughed, relishing how the Kraken immediately lost his cool.
“We painfully watched Klaus win all the damn time when you had the chance to win big time.” Five smartly observed. “Good job, bro!”
Diego was vexed and the jokes that you and your siblings were throwing at him surely didn’t help on calming himself down. “Fuck you, all of you!” He grabbed the whole deck of UNO cards and violently tossed it across the living room, messily scattering it everywhere.
“Classic, Diego!” Allison slowly clapped, mocking her sibling even more.
“Cool move, dimwit!” Klaus joined his sister in and whistled, exaggeratedly clapping afterwards.
Diego flashed his middle fingers and started heading out of the living room, leaving you and your siblings in shambles.
“At least, pick up the cards, asshole!” Five fiercely shouted.
“Leave me alone, kid!” Diego shouted back and Five was about to teleport towards Diego to fight him, but Luther and Vanya grabbed his elbows to stop him.
“Don’t, you might get hurt big time,” Vanya looked at her brother and flashed a playful smirk. “kid.”
Five groaned and everyone just laughed tumultuously. “I am the oldest one here, stop calling me a kid.”
“You’re thirteen, fly down, child!” You joked, poking the bear even more with your invisible stick.
Five shook his body to take Luther and Vanya’s hands off of him and showed his middle fingers to flip you off.
“Classy, huh?” You watched him chug his black coffee down, aggressively finishing his favourite sandwich subsequently.
“Well, that was fun!” Ben admitted with a huge smile on his face and Vanya softly smiled back at him to agree on his truthful statement.
Game night was fun, huh? Well, it was, but you were glad it happened only once every two weeks or else the Hargreeves’ residence would not find its peace and quiet ever again.
“You all are so hilarious, guys. My ghosts are having so much fun watching you!” Klaus approached as soon as every sibling has calmed down. “Another round?”
“Fuck off, Klaus!”
ANOTHER BUSY DAY IN THE ANDROMEDA GALAXY
I started the day running errands on Havarl, culminating with finishing off Jaal’s loyalty mission! I took Vetra with us thinking ‘hey, if anyone knows sibling dynamics...’ but then she factored into all of that absolutely 0%, lol @ me. but no matter! Jaal was super flirty as we made our way to the Forge, and it was adorable when he was like “HERE MEET MY FRIEND SO YOU CAN SEE AKKSUL IS WRONG” and bodily dragged me toward his siblings. their fight was absorbing and intense; I LEGIT GASPED WHEN HIS SISTER SHOT HIS BROTHER. LIKE!! the whole confrontation with Akksul felt super weighty and I really enjoyed it-- keeping my trigger discipline to not shoot that dude was really hard! there was a split second there where his bolt was headed toward Jaal’s face and I was like “if I kill off Jaal in his loyalty mission I’ll be so upset” but nope it all worked out, he has a bitchin cheek scar now, and the respect of his people, and I got a forehead touch so y’know. i melted. GOSH. then I died laughing at Akksul’s not-apology email.
now Jaal wants me to meet his mom(s) but Helen said that’ll lock in the romance, so I’ll probably wait just a little longer so I can uh keep having FWB sex with Peebee and ?maybe??? flirt with Vetra at some point? altho I teasingly called her MOM last time we were in Kadara Port so maybe not. (Jaal still hates it there, he’s so grumpy and it’s cute, but I digress)
this one got even longer than usual so doing a cut
one thing that I really like, that the game navigates in interesting ways, is that to the angara, we’re all just “Milky Way people.” like. so much of the original trilogy is about navigating the differences between all these aliens, and like, some of that is here too, esp with the krogan, but it’s actually really neat the way we’ve flattened out. and even with the krogan it’s still night and day-- like. comparing what Tuchanka is like in ME2 when Wrex is still solidifying his status as warlord is miles away from what it’s like for me to wander around New Tuchanka or, especially, just run into random krogan out and about (like the nice water scouts. WHY COULDN’T I JUST GIVE THEM THE WATER? but I’m getting ahead of myself). I know some of it has the Watsonian explanation of, like, only forward-thinking, open-minded krogan would be interested in the Initiative in the first place, and some of it is the Doylist explanation of ‘well people really liked that Charr/Ereba romance so let’s have more sweetie pie krogan’ but like. overall. it’s interesting, and I’m sure there’s more angles I haven’t considered.
I traced more of those comm buoys for Addison and learned that the doctor she’s obsessed with ran away to get pregnant! I definitely read that whole situation as Addison being in love with this lady and tbh it still doesn’t refute it? but I won’t get any more progress until I make a new outpost. the whole idea of ‘the first human baby born in Heleus’ thing is really cool, though, and I’m invested.
then I went to Elaaden! I feel some kind of way about Lexi diagnosing all of these scavengers with Brain Disease, but I can’t put my finger on it exactly-- other than, I guess, my general discomfort with pathologizing criminality. I was glad she said we couldn’t vaccinate people without their consent, but the whole thing smacks as very... self-conscious on the part of the game creators? like they thought people would say “hey it’s a huge plot hole that the Initiative screened every person before putting them on the arks and yet so many of them do crimes, explain that to me” and they were like “oh yeah shit that makes no sense, it’s not like people faced with the existential crisis of being in a brand new place 600 years away from everything they’ve ever known with no way back and not enough resources and multiple things wanting to kill them might just make desperate, risky choices, that’s not good enough, obviously we need to explain it with BRAIN DISEASE.” come on.
I made it to New Tuchanka, where the postings on the terminals are literally my favorite part of this whole game. THE ONE KROGAN WHO WANTS GINGERBREAD. THE ONE WHO DOESN’T WANT TO FOCUS ON CONS AND SUGGESTS A “PRO-VERSATION.” THE ONE ABOUT THE “PROBLETUNITY” OF MATING SUGGESTING WATCHING KRANTT HARDLY WAIT. THE ONE WHO INVENTED BLOOD RAGE FOR GUN TURRETS. but also, the best one, my favorite one of all: KRANTT THE RAGENING LARP. there is nothing I would not give to play Krantt: The Ragening.
I sort of tripped and fell and decided to finish Drack’s loyalty mission even though I intended to do more Elaaden things first, and that was a blast. Vorn is so presh! and also Drack is my dad so there’s that. I loved that Vorn helped save the day with a poison vegetable, and I love that Kesh pretended not to like the flower he got her. it was like-- okay. real talk, I just spent like 20 minutes trying to find proof that there is, in fact, a scene in parks and rec where someone gives April a friendship bracelet and she pretended to hate it until they threatened to take it back and could not find it ANYWHERE and felt so gaslit until I realized that that scene was not about April at all but Louise Belcher so. GOOD JOB ME. anyway. it was like that. kesh pretending her comm was broken when Tann tried to talk to her is the oldest joke in the book but I laughed anyway.
and then I TOOK SPENDER DOWN FOR GOOD. I’m a little miffed that neither Kesh nor Tann got to be in on that discussion; like, I recognize he was Addison’s underling but given all the bullshit he pulled with the krogan I especially felt Kesh deserved to be there? at one point there was a dialogue tree where I could either say it was Addison’s fault or Spender’s fault, and I picked the latter because I think they both such but Spender sucks worse, but in hindsight I wish I’d stuck it to Addison more because my dialogue was way too nice. when faced with the choice of jailing or exiling Spender, I picked jail despite my desire to defund Nexus Militia because I was scared if I exiled him he’d just come back as a worse enemy because of all his off-station contacts. when reviewing the choice in the codex, though, it narrativized my choice by saying I imprisoned him knowing he “would never survive life on the run from his former associates.” that wasn’t my assumption at all! quite the opposite! I jailed him thinking he’d start a coup from without if I didn’t, and it’s really interesting to me that the game isn’t framing that as a concern Ryder would have reasonably had. anyway, now Brecka has his job, which is good because Brecka is the best.
before leaving I unlocked my last memory, and SURPRISE MY MOM IS ALIVE. WELL. FOR A GIVEN DEFINITION OF ALIVE. i don’t know why I’m surprised; of course my dad sucked that much. but also, the fact that all of that got nestled in with the reaper ‘reveal’ (if you can call it that) felt... very strange? like. this is such a personal, emotional thing for Ryder. obviously for the player harkening back to the trilogy is supposed to be a gut wrench, and objectively, yes, I can see how the knowledge that they might have narrowly escaped certain death is a big deal, but like. the reapers aren’t HERE. they aren’t relevant. my MOM, on the other hand, is and is, apparently! it’s occurring to me I didn’t even try to find her mis-labeled pod, I was so turned around by all the benefactor stuff after the fact. anyway.
swung by Kadara to get drinks with Drack and had an epic bar fight, and then Lexi p much lectured us both abt it because Drack is like 90% spit and duct tape at this point. him talking about raising Kesh giving him a new lease on life was VERY sweet, tho, and his line about how parents aren’t the finish line, they’re the starting line was very good.
went back to Elaaden, which Jaal called “a big planet” while discussing hunting someone down and AU CONTRAIRE, JAAL, IT IS A MOON. wish I’d had Drack with me when I found Annea’s water because I bet he would have had better dialogue than Cora, but alas. felt very weird giving control of the reservoir to the Nexus, but like. Annea being like “you can’t, this is my emotional support monopoly on a vital natural resource” just wasn’t gonna fly with how I’m playing Ryder. I was gratified to hear the Nexus guy at Paradise say we were giving the water to everyone, including krogan and scavengers, because I 100% did not trust Tann not to overrule him with some shitty call.
then I went to the Remnant ship to stop Morda from making a bomb out of the drive core, and it was all going swimmingly until I traced the signal to that cave inside the flophouse and suddenly my triangle button stopped working, making me unable to activate the console. YIKES. a quick google of the issue tells me that this mission is buggy for a lot of people and reloading from an earlier save tends to help, but I tried that and the issue persisted so I gave up for the evening. hopefully a fresh start tomorrow and time for the ps4 to cool off is all that is required.
Villain Among the Family of Heroes
A/N: Hi, hello! So I was scrolling through pinterest and I found a writing prompt by @writing-prompt-s but I didn’t get to save it. But basically the prompt was something like “You have a family full of heroes. The three of your elder brothers are known as Powerhouses. But you rarely see them because they’re always out there saving the city. One day you decided to be a villain in order to see your brothers. And now family diners are the most amusing time.” My writings might not go as the prompt for hundred percent, I’m so sorry about that… Also, two things; English is not really my first language so sorry if there’s any grammar mistakes. And this is my first attempt at writing, it’s bound to be bad. But I would like to know your opinions so I can improve. Anyways this is a long freakin’ a/n, and I hope you enjoy!
Word count: 2649 (Damn that’s a lot)
   I sighed, today has been a long day. And a pretty fun one, to be honest. I get to properly fight with my brothers as a villain and without them going easy on me. As a matter of fact, my brothers don’t know about me being the villain.
   Okay, I might’ve lied to my family about where am I today.
   You see, my family is a group of heroes. Well- mostly my dad and my brothers.
   My mum, Eleanora Lascaris, doesn’t have any superpowers, she’s a normal human. She’s a doctor in town, and you’ve probably guessed it, she’s the one patching my dad and my brothers after missions. And I think that could be considered as superpowers because according to mum, my brothers are a handful when she patched them up. Patience is her superpowers.
   However my dad, Matteo Lascaris, was born heliokinesis; the ability to manipulate solar energy. He was the hero in town called Ilios. He saved the people here numerous of times from different villains. Some villains still causing trouble ‘till this day, and some of them we never heard from again.
   But now that my dad puts more of his time on his non-superhero work, someone has to protect the city when he can’t. That’s when my elder brothers take the role.
   Alastair, Raiden, and Dylan Lascaris. Also known as Phyyrhos, Fulgur, and Hydro. The Powerhouses.
   Raiden and Dylan are identical twins, both having the same light brown hair, same button nose, same height, and same amount of annoyingness. The only thing that makes a difference is that Raiden has amber coloured eyes, Dylan has sea blue eyes. And they have different powers. Raiden has electrokinesis; the ability to manipulate electricity and lightning. Dylan has hydrokinesis; the ability to manipulate water. And let me tell you, these two can be childish with their powers.
   Then there’s Alastair. He’s the eldest child and the most responsible one. He has short dark brown hair, chestnut brown eyes, and also a button nose. His power? Pyrokinesis; the ability to manipulate fire. Even though I said that he’s the most responsible one, that doesn’t mean he didn’t try to burn a bunch cherry to see if it will explode or not. And in case you’re wondering, no it didn’t.
   These three are the best heroes and highly respected ones as well, like our dad. They cared and saved the city like our dad, and maybe more. The whole citizens love them. They have every reason to.
    And then there’s me, Thea Lascaris. I’m the youngest child and the most underestimated one. I do have my own power, photokinesis; the ability to generate and manipulate light. And I usually train with my brothers, but they and my dad never allowed me to be a hero like them. They said it was “too dangerous” or “I need more training. I’m still too weak”. I know that they just wanted to protect me, but sometimes I’m just tired of being underestimated. My brothers know that I don’t like to be underestimated. And often talked to me about it. They always remind me, “one day, sis.” And in the end I just let it go. At least I have my brothers with me, right? Wrong.
   Usually, they would take a break from all of the Powerhouses stuff and spend time with me. Like training, watching a movie, talk about peoples we hate at school, or playing monopoly and not finishing it because one of us flipped the board. The point is that they always make time for us to spend as siblings. As a family. Up until a couple of months ago.
   There’s crime everywhere, every day. The Powerhouses, along with Ilios has been busy taking care of it. Ever since then, I rarely saw them anymore. Let alone, spending time with them. I would lie if I said that I didn’t miss them. I tried to make them take a break but they never did. Not even for dinner! They’re either outside as heroes, or inside sleeping, researching about the bad guys, or doing their homework.
   Days passed until I realise that the only way to see my brothers again is by becoming a villain. That way, not only can I see my brothers, I can use my powers. I can prove them that I’m not weak. I can prove them that I’m capable of doing something more.
   After thinking about it, discussing it with Alice and getting the “this-is-stupid-but-I’ll-support-you” look from her…
   “Are you really going to do that? What if you get caught?”
   “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure I didn’t leave a clue to who I am. As long as you don’t tell anyone.”
   She thought about it for a moment before giving me the look.  “Fine,” she breathed out “On one condition,” I made a gesture for her to continue,
   “Alastair’s phone number,” she said with a cheeky smile, crossing one arm and made a gesture to give her the number with the other one.
   “When will you stop hitting on my brother?”
   “When he stop being so hittable.”
   …I finally came out as the new villain, Thanafos.
   Surprisingly, I was pretty good at being the bad guy- err- I guess bad girl. I get to play around with my powers, testing what it can and can’t do, kicking my brothers’ butts, and going home like nothing happened. Though, I always make sure that I didn’t go too far. I don’t kill anyone. I only harm them and then leave them be. And I don’t harm my brothers. Well, not too brutal. Just enough so they don’t catch me.
   Today was no different. I told my family that I was going to Alice’s house for a group project. That’s actually wasn’t completely a lie, I did a group project before I robbed a bank and getting away with it, with a fight of course. And I might have been a bit too harsh on the Powerhouses. It wasn’t my fault, I was trying to get away before the found out or getting the clue that it was me.
    After all that mumbo jumbo, I teleported to a safer place, took half of the money for me and left half of it in front of an orphanage before I did another light teleportation back to Alice’s house before I went home. You might be wondering, aren’t you supposed to be a bad guy? Why are you dropping the money in front of an orphanage? Well, keep in mind that not all bad guys are heartless.
. . . .
  “Mum, I’m home!” I said rather loudly, stepping into the house
  “Thea? Where have you been? You said you’ll be home by five. I tried calling but you didn’t answer.” my mum said rushing to me, concern was evident on her voice.
  “Sorry, mum. It took a while to get our project perfectly, and I put my phone on silent mode. You know, so I get full focus.”
  She sighed, “I thought something happened to you. Crime is everywhere these days and I’m just worried-“
  “Mum, calm down. I’m fine. Safe and sound. Besides, I could protect myself. No need to worry.” I cut her off, with a reassuring smile.
  “Okay, then. Take a quick shower and come help me with dinner. I forced your dad and your brothers to take a break just this night.”
   I smiled, nodding as I ran upstairs to my room, quickly locking it as soon as I got there. I dropped my bag on my bed, took my villain suit out and hide it in my closet, among my other clothes. Grabbing my casual outfit, I went to the bathroom and take a shower.
   I have a feeling that I’ll find tonight’s dinner quiet amusing.
. . . .
   As soon as I’m done setting the table, I heard my brothers arguing about something in the hallways,
   “..Stop touching my shoulder, Raiden! It hurts!”
   “You think that hurts? Thanafos kicked my face and threw me to a wall. And they burned my wrist while doing so. Now that hurts, Dylan.”
   “You know that you could just electrocute that guy, right? They’ll pass out and we can know more about this person.”
   “I told you, Al, it’s like this person knows my moves. Our moves and successfully dodge them! This guy has only bothered the city 4 times and they fight us like they’ve been doing that for years!”
   When they entered the dining room, I couldn’t help my shocked face. And they said that I need more training, I thought.
   What I saw was Dylan with his shoulders bandaged, bruises here and there, nothing too brutal but it must’ve felt painful from his statement before. Alastair has a light bruise on his right arm, his face was littered with scars and small cuts, and there’s a bruise just above his collar bone that might looked like a hickey. And I think that will be his reason if someone had asked him.
   And then there’s Raiden. Dear brother, I am so sorry.
   He’s holding an ice pack to his left cheekbone, his back is kind of hunched, looks like he is limping a little, not to mention those first degree burns. He got one burn on each wrist, two on his right forearm, and one on his left palm. All burn are already treated. There’s a lot of visible scars on him. And his hands seems like it’s sparking with electricity, which only happens when he’s pissed or nervous.
   He’s going to kill me if he finds out it’s me.
   “Maybe Thanafos is a mind reader. That’s why they know our next moves.” Dylan suggested.
   “Maybe. Or maybe they’ve already memorized our moves from past villains. They take notes.” Alastair said.
   “Alright, you guys. Sit down and eat your dinner. Where’s your dad?” mum asked, while cleaning the counter.
   “He’s still downstairs.” All three of them replied, sitting on the chairs.
    Mum sighed and went out the kitchen to the basement, calling for dad. Not before telling us, “You guys, eat your dinner. Don’t wait up.”
     I sat on my chair, still holding back a smirk as I began to eat. All four of us ate in silence until I pretend that I don’t know anything and asked, “What. The Hell. Happened. To you three?”
    “Got beaten up,” Raiden grumbled.
    “Burned,” Dylan continued.
    “And pretty much failed to stop Thanafos. Again.” Alastair finished.
     I choked on my water as I laughed. My brothers’ eyes immediately shot up to me. “You? The Powerhouses? Got beaten up by a criminal? And failed to stop them?” I asked, my laugh died slightly. “I never thought I’d see the day!”
    Dylan frowned slightly, “What do you mean? We don’t always successfully stop a criminal and we always came back home looking like this. Well, except for Raiden. Today has been brutal to him.” Raiden groaned upon hearing Dylan’s statement.
    “What I meant by that is that Thanafos is a new bad guy here. Other bad guys here are often being not so lucky on their first couple of heist. This person has annoyed the city for only four times in two months. That’s nothing compared to the other villains here and all three of you failed to use your powers against them. That’s rare, bro.” I pointed my carrot to three of them before taking a bite.
    “Well, I don’t think this person is a newbie. Clearly they’re trained. And they might’ve memorized and understanding our moves and powers,” Alastair stops to swallow his food, “and taking notes because they can easily dodge our powers.”
    “And this person clearly has a power. I’m assuming it’s also pyrokinesis, like Alastair’s. That could explain the burns.” Dad said as he walked to sit on his chair with mom trailing behind him before sitting down on hers. “But they could also have heliokinesis like mine.” He continued. They all nodded slightly.
    Raiden gulped down his drink before commenting, “I have to admit though, Thanafos puts up a good fighting skills for a newbie.”
    I’m flattered, Rai.
   “Yeah, I can see that from the many scars they left on you.” I noted, smirking.
   Dylan and Alastair snickered while Raiden groaned. Again. “Will you guys stop commenting on how bad I look right now? I’ve had enough scars on my body, I don’t need more on my heart!” He pouted, causing us to laugh.
   “I’m still wondering how Thanafos managed to know our moves and dodge them easily. As well as disappearing after each fight. They couldn’t have more than one power.” Alastair stated. “Is it possible to have burning, teleporting or invisibility, and mind reading at the same time?” He asked.
   “No way. That’s overpowered!” Raiden exclaimed.
   “Unless they have a technology to add more abilities like that, the chances are slim. However, I will try to find out more about it.” Dad explained. “For now, let’s just enjoy family time like this.”
   “Yeah, it’s been a long time.” Alastair said.
   “Hey… sorry we haven’t been able to spend time with you, sis. More crimes every day that we need to take care of.” Dylan told me quietly. Raiden and Alastair nodded in agreement.
   “No, It- It’s fine. I get that you three as The Powerhouses have to protect the city. But sometimes, I just want to join.”
   “You already know that-“
   “I know, I know. Too dangerous.” I cut him off.
   If they let me join them one day, should I tell them that I’m actually Thanafos? I probably should. I decided to not think about that now.
   Alastair smiled, “It’s a good thing you didn’t come with us. You’ll end up worse than Raiden.”
   “I don’t want to imagine what’s worse than this,” Raiden gestured at his bruises and burns, “but, yeah. Al’s right.” We laughed at his statement.
   “To make it up for you, how about going to cinema tomorrow? You know, sibling time.” Dylan asked me.
    I thought about it for a bit, before agreeing to that. “Promise no Powerhouses stuff?” I asked, not making eye contact.
   The three looked at each other before smiling. Alastair puts his right hand in front of him, looking at Raiden and Dylan. Raiden puts his hand on top of Alastair’s and Dylan does the same on top of Raiden’s. “Promise.” They all said. I grinned, putting my hand on top of theirs and then we cheered.
   “So, we’re cool?” Raiden asked.
   “Yeah. Yeah, we’re cool.”
   “Well I’m not cool. I’m pyrokinetic. I was supposed to be hot.” Alastair argued playfully.
   “Whatever, Phyyrhos.”
   “Shut up, Hydro!”
   We burst out laughing. I looked at mum and dad, they we’re laughing along while shaking their heads.
   Moments like this are the moments I love the most. Just the six of us, having the time of our life’s goofing around. Like a family should. But I know that these moments never lasted. These moments are rare nowadays. That’s why I cherish every second of it.  I would’ve been lying if I said that I didn’t want more times like this.
   Unfortunately, I can’t. I rarely saw my family apart from my mum. That’s why I took my opportunity to be Thanafos, right? To see my family. And to prove that I can do more. But they don’t know.
   They don’t know it’s me.
  Not yet. It’s only a matter of time before they found out.
  Will they be disappointed? Most likely.
  Will they be pissed? Maybe.
  But I have my own reasons to why I am who I am now. And maybe, just maybe…
  …other villains have the same reason. And if only people understands it, if only people would give them a chance… they would’ve been a hero instead of a villain.
   For now, let me enjoy my time with my family while I can.
Family: Tom Hiddleston x Reader
A/N: So I don’t know too much about Tom’s family so I’m sorry if there’s anything incorrect. I hope you like it! (also this is the last story I saved)
Requested
Tumblr media
Tom was driving when he turned slightly towards you, “don’t be nervous darling.” He grabbed your hand gently. You smiled at him trying to let all your nerves melt away.
‘I’m trying not to be,” you chuckled lightly. You were meeting Tom’s family for the first time. It was the first time that either one of you were going to meet the other’s family. You have only been dating since early January so you were spending Easter with Tom’s family. And you were incredibly nervous.
“They are going to love you.”
“I hope so.”
“I know so.”
The drive to his parents house felt longer than it was but with Tom reassuring you with gentle hand squeezes it wasn’t terrible. once at his mother’s house, you double checked that you looked presentable.
“You look perfect darling,” Tom guided you up to his mother’s house with an arm placed gently around your waist, while you carried dessert. The door opened before you were at it.
“Hello Tom,” Tom’s older sister said as you approached. Tom hurried on ahead to hug his sister. You caught up and was immediately pulled into a hug by Sarah. “Hello Y/N. It’s lovely to meet you!”
“It’s wonderful to meet you too.” Tom smiled as he guided you further inside to the kitchen where his mother was finished up dinner with his younger sister helping.
“Oh Tom and Y/N,” Tom’s mother pulled each of you into a hug. “It’s so lovely to meet you darling. Tom’s told us a lot about you. You are very pretty.”
“Thank you. It’s wonderful to meet you too. Do you guys need any more help with dinner?”
“Oh, if you wouldn’t mind, we could use some help finishing up the Hot Cross Buns.” Tom’s mother guided you into the kitchen and helped you get started on your task. Tom was just behind you to help.
“You’re going to help,” Emma asked Tom shocked. You chuckled lightly. “Tom needs to bring you around more often.”
“Let’s just hope that he doesn’t ruin them,” you teased.
“He better not,” Emma replied giving him a look before checking the oven.
“I do not burn food,” Tom retorted slightly pouting.
All the food turned out perfect and the dinner went smoothly Tom’s family telling you stories of their childhood and asking you questions every so often as to not overwhelm you. His siblings and mother were so sweet and you were surprised how comfortable you felt.
After dessert, you and Tom cleaned up the dishes, although his mother insisted you didn’t have to.
“Your family is really sweet. I see where you get it from,” you told Tom as you handed him a dish to dry.
“They like you darling,” Tom assured you as he placed the dish into one of the cupboards. You nodded a part of yourself still unsure if they really did or not. Not that Tom would like to you. As you turned to hand Tom another dish, he gently forced your chin up so you would look at him. “They really do love you darling.”
You offered him a soft smile. “I like them too.” He smiled brightly as his sister walking into the room.
“Love birds, hurry up. We are playing Catan.” Tom pulled you in for a kiss to annoy his sister and you could hear her chuckle before walking out of the room.
“I hate to stop, but we have a game to win.”
“You’ll fit in perfectly,” Tom chuckled as your competitive side was already starting to show as you quickly (but thoroughly) wash the rest of the dishes. Tom had a pile of dishes to still dry, when his mother walked in. You planned on waiting for Tom but his mother was quick to guide you into the dinning room.
“Have you ever played dear?”
“I have. My brother taught me how to play,” you told her smiling.
“Perfect.” She gestured for you to sit next to her as everyone squished to one end of the table.
“You and Tom will be red,” Sarah told you as she handed you the packet across from you and the card. You dumped it out and build a small structure keeping two roads and two settlements out of the structure as you waited for Tom and Sarah and Emma finished setting up the board. tom’s mother asked you some questions and you happily talked about playing games with your family growing up having the same fond memories as the Hiddlestons do.
“My family is a little competitive,” you chuckled as Tom entered the room squeezing in next to you.
“Don’t worry we are too,” Emma told you. She wasn’t lying, which you were incredibly thankful for. Everyone was out to win as stealing statistically or with a vengeance.
“This is why Monopoly is rarely played,” Tom’s mother told you chuckling as Emma was arguing with Sarah.
“Oh, Monopoly is a favorite in my house. This card game Phase 10 is just about banned in my house. Too many skip cards and wilds.”
“Skips, the downfall of every family,” Emma joked as she rolled the dice.
Emma and her husband pulled out a win after a short half hour game, while you and Tom snagged the next win an hour later. After that, Sarah and her husband left to get home to their daughter. Emma, her husband, you and Tom all decided to leave shortly after.
You and Tom spent the next afternoon going to all of his favorite places to go as he showed you around his hometown telling stories from his mischievous youth. You enjoyed every minute of it your arm wrapped securely around Tom as you watched his face animating with every tale and paid less attention on where you were walking.
You were worried for later that day since the Hiddleston family was having a big get together so that everyone could be at home for Easter. It was a dinner at one of his Uncle’s house, although everyone dresses up for the party. Nothing super fancy but no jeans either.
Tom spent the car ride reassuring you once again and you kept apologizing, while Tom promised you were perfectly fine. He was already worried about meeting your family and there wasn’t even a date set for that yet.
Once there, Tom guided you into the house being welcomed by this Aunt upon arrival. It became a blur who was who after a little time but you always had one familiar Hiddleston near you that helped you remember everyone. Emma was the best at it naming the family member that was approaching as she raised the wine glass up to sip.
“How’s it going,” Tom asked as he wrapped an arm around your waist. You turned away from Emma to look up at Tom.
“Great,” you told him softly. His family was all really nice. Tom gave you a quick kiss. “I mean the relative next to us seems like she can be a pain.” Emma gave you a look before the two of you laughed.
“I’m going to assume you mean Tom,” Emma retorted. Tom pressed his free hand to his chest shocked.
“You found a good one Tom,” one of his Aunts told him as she passed by. You talked to her earlier with Sarah.
He smiled down at you before looking back at her. “I really have.” You smiled sweetly up to him.
“Y/N is going to become the next favorite,” Emma joked before leaving. “I will be looking for my husband if you need me.” You offered her a smile.
“Thank you. You have a lot of family members.”
“I do,” Tom responded as the two of you walked to one of the less crowded rooms.
“I don’t think I remember many names.”
“Slowly but surely you will darling. I’m sure after a few family events you will. If not, I’ll just remind you.” You sat down on one of the couches, curling up once Tom sat down next to you, the music softly playing into the room. You were exhausted having woken up early that morning and the party lasting past midnight. “Do you want to just go home?”
You nodded slowly and turned to look at Tom. “If that’s okay?”
He kissed the side of your head. “Of course, darling.” Tom got up bringing you with him and wrapped an arm securely around you as the two of you went around to say goodbye to different aunts and uncles and cousins. They all told you how great it was to meet you. A few aunts teased Tom and most of them expressed their wishes to see you at the next family event.
“I love your family,” you told Tom on the ride back.
“They love you as well. I think some of them might like you better.” You chuckled.
“Not possible. They all love you too dearly.”
“Well, we could become the most loved couple.” You laughed as you rested your head against Tom. “Thank you for coming.”
“Thank you for inviting me.”
Survey #538
“the old man then prepares to die regretfully  /  that old man here is me”
What did you think was the worst movie of all time? I honestly don't watch enough movies to answer this. What’s a song that makes you cry? (come on, there has to be one) I physically cannot listen to "Eternally Yours" by Motionless In White. "Stairway to Heaven" might even be worse, but I haven't dared listening to it since the breakup. Are there any dance/action/fighting scenes from a movie you can perform? No. Have you ever dreamt about your crush/significant other? Yep. What’s the next big event you’re counting down to? To be honest, Girt's and my anniversary, even though it's almost 6 whole months away, lmaooo. I recently thought of the BEST gift and I just can't wait to give it to him. Can the future be predicted? Nope. Do you know anyone who has a name that you hate? Who is this person? MY own boyfriend, lmaooo. Where is the farthest place you’ve been from home? Why did you go there? Illinois, to visit/meet Sara! Have you ever overcome a disease that was life-threatening? Which one? I consider depression to be heavily life-threatening, so yes. Does the person you like have any flaws? He's very open about one of his biggest: he is very, very bad at knowing what to say in emotional situations or give advice in those cases. Girt honestly isn't a very emotional guy, and while of course he cares very much, he's just bad at vocalizing some things. He's more so the type to just hug and listen. I wish he was better at this, but I've got relationship flaws as well, so it's not a dealbreaker or anything that keeps me up at night. Who was the last person who cooked something for you? My ma. Who was the last person who you heard singing? Girt. His voice is so calming. Who was the last person who showed you how to do something? Ummm I wanna say Mom? Who was the last person who made you cry? Myself. Who was the last person you got drunk with? I've never been drunk. Who was the last person who touched your hair? Girt. What was the last birthday party you attended? My youngest niece's. What was the last fast food place you ate at? Some Chinese place with a name I don't remember. Where did you last go on a date to? I haven't been on an actual ~date~ since Sara and I went out to breakfast, before the pandemic and all.. Where does the last person you hung out with live? Like, 30 minutes away. Has anyone ever given you a ring? Why? Yeah. My mom once got me this really pretty one I think for Christmas, and Jason once got me one for our anniversary. Safe to say I don't have it anymore lmao. Are you gonna buy lottery tickets when you’re old enough? Never have, never will. Name the strangest game you’ve ever played (video game or real game) FUCK whtt was it called... I think something like Rabbids, which had those really weird, hideous rabbits doing random shit? We used to have it on the Wii. Do you ever watch talk shows? No. Have you told your parents all of your secrets from when you were a teen? Nope. You’re getting married. Who’s your maid of honor and best man? I think I'd pick my mom. The best man would be my spouse's choice, if they wanted a man instead of woman as one. What is a fear you have about living on your own? My depression skyrocketing. What’s the worst name your mom has ever called you? I don't know. Have you ever dated a friend of one of your siblings? No. Has a boyfriend’s/girlfriend’s parents ever gotten mad at you? Why? Not that I know of. Have any of your exes gotten married or had kids since your breakup? I don't know or care. Do you know anyone who claims they can see/feel spirits or other supernatural 'things?’ No. Have you ever fallen in the toilet when you were little? I... don't think so? What is your favorite breakfast item? Cinnamon rolls. Do you like to play Monopoly? No, it takes too long. Do you have a ceiling fan in your room? Yeah. Does your best girlfriend have any talents that you don’t? She's a wonderful singer and has impressive animation skills. What do you think about mullets? They're generally hideous, imo. What is the name of the last website you joined? I wanna say 500px, a website dedicated to photography. There are some absolutely brilliant artists on there, but I haven't actually posted much because like... the biggies are very intimidating. Would you rather live with your significant other before marrying them? I would strongly prefer that. Would you feel comfortable living with someone that owns a gun? Absofuckinglutely not. I don't even think that's legal with my heavy suicidal history. I wouldn't trust myself more than the person who actually owns it, though. In my depressive episodes, I absolutely do not want one accessible to me. Is your skin tone lighter or darker than your Moms? I think she's a tad darker? What color is your birthstone? Purple. Where on your body would you NEVER get a piercing? Y'know, downstairs. That's a harsh no from me. Do you have to do any yard work? No. Do you have any tan lines? Noooo, definitely not. I'm literally on a vitamin for seeing the sun so rarely, lol. It was way, way too low without it. Who was the first person to ever ask you out? These two boys that always bothered the shit out of me in pre-k. I dreaded recess just because they would chase me around trying to hug and kiss me. It was a repressed memory of a while, but my therapist dug it up, and it really may be the root of my fear of men and people (regardless of gender, but usually men) being behind me. What’s one thing your partner must be able to accept about you? My mental illnesses and the fact they may never be completely tamed down. Do your parents like the person you’re with? (Or the last person) God, they love 'im. Always have. When was the last time someone seriously said “I love you.” to you? The last time Girt was here. Have you ever gone on Chatroulette? Or Omegle video? No, I'm too shy and apprehensive of strangers for that shit. What did you last use a knife for? Oh god, idk. I'm terrified on knives. Do you usually sleep with your closet door open or closed? Closed. Roman would be playing in there all night otherwise. Who do you think reads these? I have no idea, ha ha. I don't write them with the goal of them being read, though. It's just a therapeutic passtime for me. The only reason I even post them anywhere is if anyone else just sees the questions and wants to answer them, too. What do you dip chicken nuggets in? Ketchup, most often. Were you ever a boy/girl scout? I was as a young child. Why aren’t you with the person you were first in love with or almost in love with? He couldn't handle my depression any longer. I can see now, years later, it was for the best. If he couldn't learn to communicate his feelings and stress or really was deeply affected by my own pain to the point it plagued him, then good riddance we're not together anymore. Breaking up years ago probably saved a novel of heartache for things that could've gone wrong later. I can see now that I'm better off without him, and he's better off without me, and that's okay. Has the opposite sex ever sang for you? Not like, at me, but just in my presence. What has made you happiest this past week? Just seeing Girt. How about the most upset? Just stressful and hurtful bullshit relating to Ashley's pictures she needed. They're finally fucking done, though. Never doing it again. Is it cute when a boy/girl calls you baby? I've never been a fan of this. However, Girt calls me this so very infrequently and just on certain occasions that it just doesn't bother me enough to tell him not to. Would you rather receive roses or sunflowers? I'd be very appreciative of either, but I like roses more. Is your dad bald? Not quite, no. Who is the most boring, or dullest person that you know of? Hm, I don't really think I know anyone who is necessarily either. Everyone is unique and has interesting things about them. Who is the closest person in your life, emotionally speaking? Girt. Do you remember the name of the first bar you ever went to? I've actually never been to a bar; I'm just not interested, plus they make me kinda nervous. I don't want some random drunk guy trying to get my attention. What do you notice most about the opposite sex? I hate these questions, like it varies with the person and what are their strong features. What do most people call you? "Britt." How was last night? It was better than most nights. For once I wasn't unable to fall asleep at a reasonable pace, and I didn't have any nightmares. Has anyone ever hung up on you? I don't think so? What’s irritating you right now? I'm very, very tired of no less than having to nap almost every single day. I don't like doing it, but... I physically cannot stay awake without one. What are you doing tonight? I'd like to do something unique to what I usually do, but I can't pin something down. I really need to order my Wings of Fire book so I can keep reading. What was the last thing to inspire you? Girt. I see him and just feel so motivated to become a better, more successful person. Do you have mean comments that replay in your head and haunt you? Oh, certainly. Did you go Black Friday shopping this past Black Friday? I absolutely never go. I ain't fighting an absolute stampede to buy shit. Cyber Monday is where it's at. Have you ever purchased a YouTuber’s merch? If so, what did you buy? Markiplier and jacksepticeye actually have a clothing brand together, Cloak, and I have one shirt that I adorrrreeee. I REALLY want more stuff from there, their work is great visually and judging by my shirt, wonderful quality. Do you update your Facebook relationship status when it changes? Yeah, usually after the first few days to check stability. Girt NEVER touches his FB though so on his page, it still says "single" and I'm just like boy Facebook official is mandatory for a couple to be valid. Everyone knows this. /s Do you want your own house someday? With my partner, absolutely. I absolutely don't want to live with my mom forever, absolutely not, but living alone is terrifying for me. When you go to McDonalds, what drink do you usually get? Coke. Have you ever thought about your wedding? Haaaa, more than I like to admit. I think of the future I want way too much. Where was your first job at? GameStop. Ever seen your parents make out? omg no I would die What piercing do you hate? I'm not a fan at all of the smiley piercing. Do your parents get mad when you're on the computer for hours? Not anymore, no. It's just... accepted as normal now. My mom gave up a very long time ago with trying to regulate my computer time. Have you ever been asked for a nude picture? No, thankfully. What’s your favorite thing about your crush/bf/gf? He's never, ever, lost faith in me. He's always been there. What’s the worst thing? I mentioned earlier about his very strong weak point in regards to knowing what to say in emotional situations, so that. I really like individuals who can connect with that side of them, but I love Girt far too much to get all worked up over one trait. What would you do if your parent hit you? I'm fuckin' out. If it was my father? Never talking to him again. On the other hand, if it was Mom? I'm moving in with my dad. I do NOT tolerate physical violence, never mind from my own parents. Do you think it’s weird when girls change in front of their bf/gf? ... No...? Especially if you're in a serious, intimate relationship, why would it be weird? Last person that saw you naked (can’t be yourself): My mom, probably. Ever kissed someone half-naked? Yeah. Are your parents embarrassing? My father can be. Do you prefer dating a virgin? Or a guy who’s been around? I don't care. The only thing that would bother me personally is having a big number of previous partners. I'd just question their dedication and loyalty to our relationship. Do you have an annoying dog? She's not annoying, no. She's just super clingy, especially with Mom. What is your favorite thing to do on your phone? Play Pokemon GO. What color was your first phone? I wanna say blue? Was your first phone a flip phone? I don't think so, no. Pretty sure it slid upwards. If you’re a girl, have you ever had an embarrassing period story? No only girls have periods, but w/e. I don't, at least not that I recall. Have you ever seen someone throw up on a plane? No, thank fuck. I see/hear someone else puking? I'm about to join in lmaooo. Do you get motion sickness? Nope. Do you own pumpkin earrings? No, but I want!!! What was the last restaurant you made a reservation at? The Cheesecake Factory, for my birthday. We still had to wait like, 20-30 minutes though. Which app on your phone do you tend to get the most notifications from? Instagram. What is something you gave up on after many failed attempts? Portrait/in any way human-oriented photography. I'm all about never giving up on your goals, but... there comes a time where it's just unreasonable and even foolish to keep pushing. Sometimes, it just simply doesn't work. Do you like salami? I love that shit. Have your parents met your boyfriend/exes? My dad never met Tyler, but that's it. How about your boyfriend’s parents? Met them? I can't meet his dad as he passed away a long time ago, but I REALLY wanna meet his mom! We've just got to find a day where Girt nor her have work. Do you know how to say I love you in at least 4 languages? I only know English and German. Do you find the sound of a cat’s purr relaxing? Yesssss. Do you know your mum’s first pet’s name? I don't, actually. Would you ever get a heart tattoo or your back? Nah. Do you know anyone autistic? Yes. How about someone bipolar? Both me and one of my sisters are bipolar. What do you consider private to you? I don't enjoy talking about my sex life with literally anybody but my s/o. Name somebody you know who deserves a better life than they have: My mother, like y'all have no idea. Her life has been so, so brutally unfair. Name something in your life that was a blessing in disguise: Jason leaving. Name something you wish you had enough money to do: A lot, man. I'd love to get Mom a new car, as well as a new house for us back in the woods, away from busy streets.
Klaine Advent - Variation
Blaine Anderson-Hummel was a man of routine. He always got up at 6:00 sharp to start his morning routine. He’d get up, make the coffee and start breakfast for Kurt and the kids. Then when Kurt was getting the kids up for school, Blaine would get himself ready. It was always the same, day in and day out. Because of Blaine’s habits, the whole family was surprised one Friday morning when they heard him in the hallway at 8:00 in the morning. “Everyone up! Calling all Anderson-Hummels!”
“What is going on?” Charlie asked as she lumbered out of her and Penny’s room.
“We’re having a family meeting.” Blaine replied. “Go and sit in the living room.”
“It’s 8:00. We’re already late. We have to get to school.” Caleb said, inspiring a bit of panic in his family.
“No school today.” Blaine told him. “No school for any of you. Also, Kurt no work for you.”
“Honey, I can’t take off. I have a lot of work to do.” Kurt tried to tell him.
“We are taking a day off.” Blaine said firmly. “We need a family fun day and that is exactly what we are going to have.” “Who are you and what have you done with my husband?” Kurt asked with a smirk.
“Can’t I just do something nice for my family without getting so much resistance?” He asked angrily. That was enough to stop all of his family from talking. “Anyway, I thought that we could all use a day off and I was thinking that a trip to Coney Island would be perfect.”
“We haven’t been to Coney island in ages.” Penny replied.
“Which is exactly why we’re going there today.” Blaine said. “Now, all of you. Go and get ready. We leave in an hour.” All five kids got up from their spots on the sofa and began walking back to their rooms to get ready to leave.
“Do you think he’s having a midlife crisis?” Charlie asked.
“Who knows. Why couldn’t he just get a sports car like every other middle aged man?” Caleb muttered.
“I don’t know what’s going on, but, this is not Dad. Dad gets stressed when we eat dinner fifteen minutes late. He doesn’t pull us all out of school for nothing. Something is going on. I just know it.” Penny replied.
“I don’t know why we’re questioning this.” Andrew said butting in. “We’re going to Coney Island and I’ve never been there before. Don’t ruin this for me.” he warned his older siblings. The other kids let it go and they got ready for the day. Within the hour, like Blaine had asked, everyone was ready to go. They filed into the car and drove over to Coney Island.
“Alright guys, we’re here!” Blaine exclaimed as he pulled into the parking lot. The family of seven walked up to the ticketbooth and everyone in the family got a wristband so they could go on whatever they wanted. “What should we go on first?”
“What about the Cyclone?” Caleb asked.
“I’m in!” Penny and Charlie both replied.
“Me too!” Blaine said chiming in. Kurt looked at his husband with a suspicious glare.
“You? You, Blaine Anderson-Hummel, are going to go on a rollercoaster?” Kurt asked. “Blaine, you’re afraid of heights.” “No I’m not.” Blaine retorted. “I’m going on this rollercoaster. Anyone who wants to can join me?” he said before taking off. Caleb, Penny and Charlie followed close behind him. Unfortunately, Lucy and Andrew were too short to go on that ride so Kurt sat out with them. The four older Anderson-Hummels waited in line and soon enough they were in the front. “Here we go guys. Front row.” Blaine said. Caleb climbed in with Blaine and Penny and Charlie sat behind them. As soon as Blaine sat down, he felt the panic begin to rise in his chest. He could do this. He would prove everyone wrong.
“Dad, are you sure you’re okay?” Caleb asked.
“I-I’m fine.” Blaine replied as he gripped onto handlebars and closed his eyes. The roller coaster started moving and they started up the hill. Blaine could feel his breathing begin to pick up. As they got to the top of the hill, Blaine opened his eyes and promptly started screaming. The rollercoaster took off from there going through various dips, twists and turns.  When the rollercoaster stopped, Blaine felt like he could barely breathe. His three teenagers got up immediately and all three of them were talking and smiling. Blaine felt like he couldn’t move, but somehow he found the strength to stand and follow his kids. When they got to the bottom, Kurt, Lucy and Andrew were waiting for them.
“How was it?” Kurt asked.
“It was awesome!” Penny and Charlie exclaimed.
“And Blaine, honey, what did you think about it?” Kurt asked. He looked at his husband who was ghost white. He was a little nervous that Blaine was going to pass out.
“I-It was great.” Blaine replied.
“Are you sure? You look a little pale.” Kurt added.
“Really, I’m fine.” Blaine said. “Let’s keep going on rides.” Blaine walked away before Kurt could say another word. They decided to go on the bumper cars next which was good because the whole family could go on those. Everyone had their own car, except for Lucy who was still too little to drive so she rode with Kurt. It was a really fun time as they all bumped into one another. It was so fun that they decided to go on them another two times. After the bumper cars, they tackled some spinning rides. Kurt stayed off of those. Since he’d gotten older, his stomach couldn’t take those rides anymore but he was happy to stand on the side and watch the rest of his family have a great time. They rode practically every ride in the park by the end of the night and Lucy went home with three new stuffed animals that Blaine had won for her.
At the end of the night, the very exhausted family of seven walked back to their car and drove back home. When they got there, Lucy was fast asleep. Kurt scooped her out of her car seat and carried her into the house. “Who’s up for a movie? Or a game night?” Blaine asked. The rest of the family looked at him like he was crazy, but Blaine didn’t seem to notice. “I’ll go get the games and we can choose then.” he added before scurrying off down the hallway.
“Pen, can you take Lucy and put her in her bed?” Kurt asked. Penny nodded and took her sleeping little sister from Kurt’s arms. Then, Kurt went down the hallway to find his husband. He found Blaine in their bedroom going through some games.
“Oh Kurt, great you’re here!” Blaine exclaimed. “What do you think? Is it a monopoly kind of night? Or maybe scrabble? Yahtzee?”
“Blaine, honey, just stop.”
“What? I just want to play a game with my family.” Blaine retorted.
“Blaine, I have known you long enough to know when something is wrong with you.” Kurt told him. “And something is not right with you today.”
“I’m just trying to be spontaneous and fun!” Blaine exclaimed, throwing his arms up in air. Kurt walked closer to his husband and took his hands.
“Just tell me what’s wrong honey.” he said softly. Blaine’s expression softened and Kurt watched as tears formed in the corners of his eyes.
“My mom called this morning…” Blaine began. “M-my Dad…he-he had a massive heart attack yesterday and he died.”
“Oh honey,” Kurt cooed. “I’m so sorry.” He brought Blaine into his embrace and held him tightly as he cried.
“He died right in his office.” Blaine cried. “Just keeled over on his desk and they found him. I-I am so much like him, even when I try not to be. M-my dad, he liked his routines. He did the same thing, day in and day out. There was never any variation. He just worked and stressed himself out until he died. I guess, our spontaneous trip today was me proving that I’m not stuck in my routine and that I can be fun. I-I just am so scared that I am going to end up just like him.”
“Blaine, there is no universe in which you end up like your dad.” Kurt told him.
“Hear me out.” Blaine said. “Ever since I was born, I’ve been like my dad. I wanted to be just like him and then, he didn’t accept me when I came out. And that was so hard. It damn near killed me. But I tried to convince myself that it was okay. Then, he left my mom and I was so angry with him.” Blaine took a deep breath as he tried to compose himself. “I have hated that man ever since he left. I hated him with every fiber of my being. So-so tell me why…tell me why this hurts so badly?” he asked as he began to cry harder. Kurt took him back in his arms and rubbed small circles on his back until Blaine was able to calm himself down. He took his husband’s face in his hands.
“I want you to listen me…okay?” Kurt began. “Everything you are feeling is completely normal. And it hurts because feeling that loss…the loss of a parent, is normal. You will get through this. It’ll hurt for a while, but eventually, it will get better. Also, you will never end up like your father. You have five beautiful children who love and look up to you. You also have me and I will never leave you and I know you’ll never leave me. You may be like your father in some ways but you are a completely different man. You are kind, compassionate, and would do anything for your family.”
“I-I love you.” Blaine said.
“I love you too.” Kurt replied. “Now, lie down and I’ll back in a minute. The kids were waiting for us.” He added before heading out to the hallway. He was met by five worried looks.
“Is Dad okay?” Charlie asked.
“Yeah, we heard him crying.” Caleb added.
“He’ll be okay.” Kurt replied. “He found out from Nana that his Dad died. You guys don’t know your other grandfather because he and Dad weren’t very close. But it was still his father and he’s taking it pretty hard.” “Can I go give Daddy a hug?” Lucy asked.
“I think we should just leave Daddy alone tonight, okay Luce” Kurt told her. “In fact, you should be in bed by now.” He took her from Penny’s arms and took her into her bedroom. Kurt got Lucy changed into her pajamas and then tucked her into bed. From the look on her face, Kurt could tell that she was still worried about Blaine. “He’s going to be fine. I promise.” “I love you Papa.” Lucy said.
“I love you too baby.” Kurt told her. He left her room and then went to see the rest of his children. He found Penny and Charlie in their room, both of them crying. “Oh girls, come here.” Kurt hugged both of his daughters.
“I know that we don’t know him but hearing that Dad’s father died just made me think.” Charlie began. “I don’t know know what I would do if something happened to you or Dad.”
“Me too.” Penny said.
“Your father and I are both fine.” Kurt told them. “We love you both and we’re going to be around for a while. I promise everything will be okay. Just try and go to sleep, alright.” They both nodded and got into bed. Three kids down, two to go. Kurt peeked into Caleb and Andrew’s room. The boys looked okay. They both were nestled in their beds on their way to falling asleep.
“Love you boys.” Kurt said.
“Love you Papa.” they both replied. After shutting the door, Kurt went back into his and Blaine’s bedroom. Blaine was lying on the bed, still silently crying. Kurt quickly changed into his pajamas and got into bed. He cuddled up close to Blaine and held him tightly.
“It’s going to be okay. I love you.” Kurt whispered into Blaine’s ear. They spent the rest of the night like that until they both fell asleep. Kurt knew that the next few weeks would be rough for his husband, but he would get through it. Blaine had Kurt and all of their kids by his side and they would love and support him for the rest of their lives.
Double Date Part 2 (Robb Stark ft Sansa X Willas)
Find Part 1 Here
Prompt: What a lovely "double date" imagine! Do you think you could do one like that, but with Willas and Sansa instead of Gendry and Arya? Or a part two, but this time with W/S or the family? - Anonymous
Word Count: 2448
Tumblr media
You had expected the Stark family to be nice, but you were surprised at just how nice they were. Mrs Stark was constantly inviting you round for dinner with the family, because she said she hated the thought of you sat having dinner alone, which you thought was sweet. Mr Stark was always enquiring about your job and how you were doing, even inviting you to go and work for his company when a place opens up, which of course you’d accept.
Robbs siblings were also just as pleasant. Sansa was slowly becoming one of your closest friends, she was a gossip and so were you. You found yourself sat beside her most nights when you visited the Stark family, listening to her chat away about something her friend Jeyne did the other day, or how much of an idiot her boyfriend Willas was currently being. Having only the Starks as your friends you didn’t have much to gossip about yourself, but you enjoyed listening to her nonetheless.
You’d even met Robbs cousin Jon one evening. He seemed polite enough but a bit quiet, you hadn’t had the chance to hold a conversation with him but he smiled whenever you met his eyes and made sure to come and say goodbye to you when he was leaving, you were sure you’d grow to know him better the more you saw him.
“Oh (Y/N)  I’m glad you’re here!” Sansa grins as she opens the door to greet you, “I had the best idea ever!”
You step into the house and let Sansa pull your jacket off, hanging it up on the coat rack by the door before she took your arm and lead you upstairs, “Dinner isn’t ready yet, come and sit with me!”
She lead you up to her bedroom and you took up your usual seat at the end of the bed, laying on your stomach as she sat cross legged in the middle of the bed.
“Arya was talking about her plans with Gendry this weekend and it got me thinking about that double date she did to get you and Robb together,” Sansa smiles, she’d thought yours and Robbs first meeting was just the cutest thing ever and had gushed about it for weeks afterwards. “I was thinking we could do the same thing! There’s this movie showing at the complex that Willas wants to see, and Robb said something about it the other day. We could go and see that, then go for a drink afterwards?”
You nod your head as Sansa speaks, more than happy to go on a double date with her and her boyfriend. You’d only met Willas once when you bumped into him and Sansa on your way to work a few weeks back, he seemed nice enough, if a little big headed for your liking.
“Sure Sans, sounds good to me.” You smile making her clap her hands in delight and grin.
Great! I’ll arrange it right now!” She grabs her phone and starts texting Willas, leaving you to look around her room absentmindedly.
You thought you’d been in Sansa’s room more times than any other room in the house. Quite often when you were visiting Sansa would drag you up to her room for a chat, she said she spent a lot of time in her room as her family could get quite loud when they were all downstairs together. She had a big family so you could see where she was coming from, you’d probably do the same.
At first Robb hadn’t been very happy that his sister always stole away his girlfriend, but after over a month of it happening he’d learnt to live with it and had admitted he was glad you got along so well. If anyone looked in on the family from the outside they’d never guess you were Robbs girlfriend. At dinner you sat beside either Sansa or Arya and during the evenings you often found yourself playing board games with the youngest Starks. You’d used to play monopoly a lot but during one game Arya had gotten too mad and threw the board breaking a lamp, now you were banned from playing that. If anything people would see you as a close friend to the girls, that was how you liked it.
You’d never been one for public relationships and didn’t know how you’d cope if Robb constantly had his arms around you and had to sit beside you. A few of you exes had been like that and it was the most annoying thing ever to you. You were glad Robb thought the same, most of the time he was sat texting Jon or his friend Theon. Sometimes he even goes out to meet them and leaves you with Sansa in her room, half the time he never even told you he was going.
A soft knock at the door draws your attention away from the photograph of Arya and Sansa on the family holiday last year, you turn you head to see Robb opening the door and peering inside.
“Thought I heard the doorbell go. Not even saying hello this time? I’m starting to feel like you fancy my sister more than you fancy me.” He laughs as he shuts the door behind him and goes to sit beside your legs.
“Robb get out of my room.” Sansa grumbles, momentarily looking up from her phone to glare at her older brother.
“I wouldn’t have to be in your room if you didn’t keep stealing my girlfriend every night.” Robb replies cooly as he places a hand on the back of your thigh and squeezes it lightly, “How has your day been?” He asks looking down at you.
You shrug your shoulders and resume your exploration of the room, your eyes going back to the board of photos on the wall opposite you. You’d never really looked at them before, usually too preoccupied with Sansa’s latest bit of gossip to bother with her belongings.
“It was okay. Work wasn’t very busy, I spent most of the day clearing the back room out with Gendry. I don’t think that’s been cleaned any time in the last twenty years.” You roll your eyes, smiling as you spot of photo of what looks like Robb and Jon when they were little.
“Has Sansa told you about her date idea?” Robb asks, following your eyes to the photographs as he speaks.
You nod your head, “Yes, I think it sounds like a good idea. I said we’d go.” You finally look away from the wall and look up to Robb with a smile, “It’ll be nice to have someone to talk to on a date while you’re sat on your phone.” you tease.
“I do not sit on my phone!” Robb defends himself with a huff, “It would be un-polite to ignore people trying to talk to me.”
“Or you could tell them you’re busy and you’ll talk to them later!” You laugh and turn to sit up beside him, punching him lightly on his arm, “Besides, I was talking about both of you. I guess I’ll be on the date alone with Willas.”
Sansa sticks her middle finger up at you, her eyes looking up at you from her phone with a small smirk on her lips, “If you don’t mind, I’m actually trying to arrange sed date, so shut it.” she laughs.
You laugh and stand up, grabbing Robbs hand and pulling him up with you, “I suppose I should spend some time with my boyfriend so he doesn’t get grumpy, let me know the plans.” You smile to Sansa as you pull her brother from the room.
Once outside in the hallway Robb wraps his arms around you and pulls you into his chest, catching your lips in a soft kiss as he holds you tight, “I’m going to stop inviting you round here, you never even want to see me.” he laughs.
You shrug your shoulders with a small smirk, “I can’t help that everyone loves me Robb, I need to divide my attention between you all.”
“Well clearly you’re not very good at maths, division is supposed to be equal but you spend more time with everyone else but me!” Robb exclaims.
You roll your eyes, “You’re starting to sound like a spoiled toddler, shut it.” You laugh and lean up to kiss his lips again.
~~~
You arrived at the complex early, like you usually did for your dates. Robb always offered to pick you up but you never saw the point, he’d usually have to drive past your date destination to get you, then drive back, you’d rather just meet him there and save him the time.
You sit on a bench outside as the evening was quite warm compared to what it had been like, you were thankful for that. Spring was definitely in full wake now and that meant that soon enough it would be summer.
You spotted Sansa first, pulling up in Willas’s car close to the entrance, not long after they arrived Robb was pulling up too.
“I don’t even know what this movie is supposed to be about.” Sansa says as she walks arm in arm with you behind the two boys who were also chatting away, “It seems like I’m going to be on a date with you and Willas is going to be on one with Robb.” She laughs.
You nod your head in agreement as you look at the boys ahead of you who were clearly laughing and joking about something while they joined the queue, “They make a lovely couple.” You comment making you both laugh.
You let the boys queue up for tickets, knowing it was useless joining them as neither of them would let you pay, something you and Robb argued about constantly. It was sweet that he liked to treat you, but you’d like to return the favour sometimes, but Robb wouldn’t hear of it. He was quite old fashioned like that. He believed the guy should pay for the date, he wouldn’t even let you buy your own coffees. He pulled your chair out for you at the dinner table, held the car door open for you to get in and out. He was a genuinely nice guy and you hoped you and him worked out, because you knew any other girl could take advantage of his kind and caring nature and use him.
“One ticket, one sweet popcorn and one coke.” Robb states as he hands you the drink and food, keeping the ticket with his own.
“You know me so well.” You laugh as you follow him to find the right screen, it shouldn’t be hard, the complex only has two screens, number one and number three.
You’d asked Robb why they didn’t have a number two, he said they used to but the electrics caught fire a few years back and now they just used it as storage. You weren’t sure what kind of company just leaves a half burnt out building attached to it and pretends like it wasn’t there, but who were you to question this strange town.
You sat in between Robb and Willas. Sansa had lead you all to the very back row because she likes to put her feet up on the chair in front of her. Back where you grew up you could never do that, the cinemas were always full, but here there must have been less than fifteen people sat down.
You were still unsure what movie you’d even come to see, but once it started you noticed that it was an action one, not something you would usually watch. A typical boy movie you and Sansa would usually comment.
You found yourself day dreaming through most of the movie, by the end of it you couldn’t even tell anyone what had happened, or what the name of the main character was.
“Lets go to The Lime Tree for a drink.” Sansa decides as you all walk out of the complex beside each other, “They do two for one on cocktails on a Wednesday.”
You’d seen The Lime Tree before and thought it looked cute, it was a little bar in in the middle of town, a few chairs placed outside, the inside long and narrow. Once inside you noticed the walls were lined with different paintings and the ceiling littered with quirky lights, it all felt quite cosy.
You and Sansa ordered a cocktail each and the boys had a beer, saying they’d only have one since they had to drive home.
“Lets sit outside.” Sansa says as she takes your arm and leads the way, “Jon brought me here for the first time last year. He smokes so we had to sit outside, but it’s much nicer anyway. They have fairy lights in the trees and around the little gazebos it’s all so cute.” She gushes as she leads you down the steps to the garden area.
She was right, it was quite cute. The area was lit up with yellow fairy lights, a few heat lamps were placed next to the tables which you were glad about, and the best part was that there was no one out here besides you four.
“Did you enjoy the movie?” Robb asks as he sits down beside you.
“Uh..Yeah, it was good.” You reply with a small smile, taking a sip from your drink.
“Really? Because I’m sure you were asleep at one point.” Robb laughs making you blush a little.
“It’s not my kind of movie, okay?” You giggle and push his arm lightly, “Next time, I’m taking you to see a rom-com.”
“I happen to like rom-coms thank you very much.” Robb grins.
“Yeah, that I can believe. You’re a drama queen you have to learn that from somewhere.” You reply with a shake of your head.
“I prefer the term drama king if you wouldn’t mind.” Robb states with a scoff, picking up his beer and taking a drink while you laughed.
“You’re such an idiot.” You mumble as you shake your head.
You smile as Robb swings his arm around your shoulder pulling you into his side and placing a kiss to the side of your head, “You love it.” He laughs.
You slide your arms around his waist and lay your head on his shoulder, mostly so you could steal his body heat, “I can't wait for your other siblings to get in relationships, I quite like these double dates.” You grin.
“I’d like some dates on our own too.” Robb laughs, “Next thing you’ll be wanting a double wedding.”
“Hey, that’s not a bad idea.” You joke leaning up to kiss his cheek lightly before nuzzling your head back into his shoulder.
You decided you definitely like this town a whole lot more than your last one and you’d be happy to spend the rest of your life here as long as you were with Robb.
