#marzi speaks #thinking abt the themes in that story #ESPECIALLY the letting other people’s perceptions dictate who you are vs choosing who you are for yourself and not letting anyone stop you #like almost every single one of the sdr2 cast has a front they put on/identity they’re ‘supposed’ to be vs who they truly are #komaeda’s i could write an essay on so we’re gonna skip him bc. energy #hajime’s is obvious. i don’t need to explain that one. though he tries really hard to come off as more masculine as well which. augh #speaking of masculine souda is a victim of toxic masculinity. he was bullied and had a dad who sucked so he changed himself to look fiercer #ibuki left her band due to ‘creative differences’- she didn’t fit into that classic pop band mold and she allowed herself to deviate #mahiru puts extra pressure on men around her bc Her Dad Also Sucked and she’s sick of having to deal with weaponized incompetence #gundham is this sweet kind kind boy who hides it all underneath a veil of darkness. the darkness is not a lie either though he is both #sonia. literally a princess. has huge shoes to fill. in reality she’s a horror fiend who just wants to nerd out abt true crime #nekomaru’s heart condition would have taken him out of sports forever but he found another way and started team managing instead #fuyuhiko is set up to be the next head of the kuzuryu clan but on the inside he is so compassionate (and canonically a prude lmao)#peko is literally raised as a tool and tries to embrace this role even though the one she works for just wants her to be herself #i haven’t seen hiyoko’s ftes but i imagine she’d be far less cruel if she didn’t have to deal with constant infantilization and perverts #twogami just. as a whole. the whole character. yeah #there’s for sure more but i haven’t seen everyone’s ftes so. yanno #like fuck !!!!!! people will always have a perception of what they think you should be but you cannot truly be happy #until you allow yourself to disregard those expectations and forge your own path instead !!!! fuck !!!!!

Hi hi, Lili! Yes, of course. Tbh I shouldn't have called them "pirates" they are known as such and treated like villains, but they're more like unofficial naval guard! The official naval guard was disbanded in the 90's due to the civil war that broke out [btw this civil war is why I'm diaspora! My maternal family fled to Djibouti or elsewhere. My dad came to Canada due to it.] Anyway! Other nations took advantage of this as they tended to do and started fishing illegally in the waters! Somali citizens rely on fishing to live [also farming and agriculture bc I also recall there was a drought and famine going on] so they turned to "piracy" to stop these thieves from stealing from them! Of course, these outsiders didn't like it and called it "piracy." they shouldn't be there in the first place!!!

Just a tiny WIP based on tHIS

Dew trailed off, fingers leaving Swiss’s lips to grip tightly at his wrists, tail snapping like a whip behind them as he inspected closely.

“Too bad the marks faded. Disappointing. Guess I’ll have to make more”

He smirked, pulling the bigger ghouls wrists above his head and looping the cord around both of them a few times before pulling tight. Swiss felt desire pool deep in his gut, and his back arched slightly as a small moan slipped out. His head was foggy but he realized with a sinking sense of dread that he really liked the feeling of being helpless, a small plea ringing out into the quiet of the hotel room.

“Tighter”

Dew went rigid, and Swiss felt his cock jump in has pants at the request, his eyes burning even brighter as he purred approvingly.

Dystopian dictator doc au characters:

Grian: he is the leader of the band. He tries to make sure everyone is working together. Emphasis on tries.

Mumbo: he is the good ideas person. He also is the person to put ideas into action, most of which are his, the rest tend to be grian's.

Scar: He is the bad ideas man unintentionally. And because mumbo refuses to go through with the ideas he does them himself. Also he hoards every cool thing doc hasn't gotten to.

Joe: he is the bad ideas man intentionally. Grian can't make him do work and both of them know it. Currently working on a docm77 diss track because he wants to.

Gem: She is the fighting force for the resistance and the best at getting her way. She doesn't enjoy having to destroy all the surveillance drones but nobody else is suited to fighting. Also is the one to kill bugs because Grian and Mumbo get scared.

I remember why I like piano so much, I don’t have to deal with petulant bitchy half-rate band mates who couldn’t wipe their ass if my band director wasn’t holding their fucking hand and telling them how to do it

#.txt #our band director gives us a reasonable critique or suggestion and it takes us 5 minutes #to even fucking figure out what we’re supposed to be doing it’s EMBARASSING #I cannot understand how they aren’t fucking mortified by their behavior and lack of musical ability #no one is on the same page because everyone is convinced THEYRE the best player in the band #and therefore should be able to dictate what everyone else is supposed to do #like maybe instead of competing to be the best player you fucking…. master the basic fundamentals of ensemble playing first #all talking during rehearsal like they’re too good to have to listen to what’s going on #then act like they’re been personally slighted when our band director starts and they’re lost #like YOU were the one who wasn’t paying attention YOURE the one who can’t count your fucking music or come in without some other instrument #like we’re struggling with high school problems and it shows #IM fucking embarrassed to have to play with them tbh

#been thinking a lot about how whenever i have a dream or an idea marinating in my brain for long enough it then becomes something that i am #determined to pursue. and that no one can really dissuade me from #it simply becomes a permanent part of my creative direction in life #i guess you could say that's kind of the same thing as having a special interest but not QUITE #like for example. what i'm thinking of right now is my desire to start a band #and i come up with a lot of crazy ideas on a day to day basis but a good amount of them end up being simply fleeting or dictated by my mood #the ones that stay though... those are the one that actually HAPPEN #i've wanted to sing in a band for at least a year now #to be honest it's probably been longer but it's been at least a year of me being consciously aware of it #and it just made me realize. this desire has stuck around in my brain for quite a while now #and i think that means it is going to happen someday #i don't know exactly how yet because the way i originally thought it might happen (me going to music college) didn't work out #but it's been a year and i'm still thinking about it and keeping my eyes open in case i meet the right people to make music with #i know from experience that when i put my mind to something i WILL get it done #in the sense that i will surprise myself with how stubborn i can be when it comes to not stopping chasing my dreams #and i've had big goals in the past that i did achieve because of this #i'm also like. surprisingly adaptable??? i only recently learned that about myself but i be pulling Plan B's out of my sleeves #so that's all to say -- i'm choosing to believe that i will start my band someday and it will be better than i can imagine right now #and in general i'm choosing to believe that the things i truly love and truly want in my life will only become more clear over time #even if i'm confused and lost at times NOW... if i keep moving forward in time it will all make sense #and a lot of times situations do work out exactly the way they were meant to but in the most unexpected of ways #i don't know how coherent this all was but yeah #starting a band is only the most recent example #belle speaks

What, if any, instrument would Minthara want to play?

Now I am not so how skilled she is in terms of music. Thanks to Emma Gregory who sang in character as Minthara, we can assume that Mintahra in fact CAN sing, but however we do need to remember that the Spider's Lyre is something that you pick up from Minthara in game. Now is it hers? I'd like to say yes, she can play it even if it's basic lullabies. (That she would take to playing in camp.) Even if the Spider's Lyre belonged to Kar'niss first.
