oh joey do i have a doozy of a first date story for you!

okay, so i was 15. this guy in my science class (we’ll call him john for ease) had had a massive thing for me for ages apparently. he used to stare at me in class and make moony eyes at me constantly and the works. anyways, eventually word got around to me. now, in school i wasn’t popular, i was known as a massive nerd, and i kinda thought no one would ever like me like that so i thought sure, what harm could it do?

anyways, we text for a little bit and arrange our first date. i can see it so clearly. we were going to see ted 2 (i know. I KNOW.) and go to get some italian food afterwards. anyways, his dad pulls up in front of my house in the nicest car i have ever seen in my entire life. it was a mercedes, and the area i live in is definitely not a mercedes type of area. anyways, i get in the car. he’s silent. won’t even make eye contact with me. i get more conversation out of his dad than i do him. but i think you know what? he’s shy, it’s cute. so i look past it.

we get to the complex in the city that had the movie theatre in, and we go and buy our tickets and sit down. he’d started to loosen up a little bit by this point but i was already getting bored. the movie starts and the rest of the screen was literally couples making out. it was the strangest environment ever. anyways, he won’t even look at me during the movie and he has a white knuckle grip on both arm rests and i’m getting frustrated by this point.

the last straw came at dinner. remember i said we were getting italian food? we both order pasta and i’m trying so desperately hard to get conversation out of him but its like getting blood from a stone. our food comes and this motherfucker starts picking up his spaghetti with his hands. i just sit there wide eyed as he starts eating his spaghetti. i make eye contact with one of the waitresses and i have never been more mortified in my entire life.

anyways, i find an excuse and i dip. he texts me later that night telling me how much of a nice time he had and telling me he’d like to do it again. i then have to tell him i don’t want to and see him in class again two days later. it was a…sobering experience.

2. I haven't been watching much TV lately just LS and the new Nightcourt (it's really cute). Also a little recently I watched Willow which I really loved.

Fun fact: The Buddie pairing WAS called "Dickley" in one of my favorite fics, a social-media based fic where Buck is still a firefighter but Eddie is a famous MMA fighter and Buck thirsts after him on Twitter. I read it like...once every two months. But the in-universe fans of Eddie (who of course noticed his Twitter flirtation with a firefighter who likes to post shirtless selfies) called them Dickley.

Yes! Bi bi bi!!! Eddie Diaz is not strictly dickley! In the most respectful way, that man loved him some 🐱 That's a canon fact! AND that wouldn't stop him from loving Mr. Evan Firehose Buck Buckley anyways. Him liking women isn't lessening his chances of getting with a man. He's a (c'mon not so single) father with commitment issues, that's why he can't keep a relationship and is scared of dating! 🙄 The phobias in this fandom are kinda a big ick

YES!!!!! the thing is many people says Eddie is gay but is the the same people who says that Buck is bi, but if someone was 100% confirmed was in love with a woman it's Eddie with Shannon. It's not his sexuality that kept him from being happy with her. it's his mentality and mental health problems

Eddie loved Shannon, and it was confirmed he had and liked sex with Ana(he was not happy with them being family but he was super playful with her in 5x1). Him with Shannon also was confirmed being super good in sex (and anyone who will say smt about Michael forgets how it is canon Athena and him almost never had sex). Eddie and Shannon was super sexual active. Eddie is scarred to commit with someone not because he's gay, but because it's him as a person.

And season 6 it's real prove to it. Eddie LOVED SHANNON ROMATICALLY. live with it and remember that it will not stop him if buddie will ever be canon to love Buck. or date any other person no matter their gender because Eddie is queer and it doesn't end to love Buck or Shannon

except, when an online moment goes viral, the internet loses their shit and these two strike an unexpected but pretty great long distance friendship and they slowly fall in love miles away from each other.

oh a sitcom definitely. i'd love it to be shot in the style of brooklyn nine-nine i'd absolutely be SEATED and SAT every week

13. When creating fics for a specific character/characters, what is your process like? (Does it differ depending on the genre? Do you make playlists? Outlines? What are your favorite things about writing about your favorite characters?)

so usually, my fic writing begins with a line of dialogue that comes to me or a scene that i can just visualise in my head. i don't tend to outline purely because i find it slows me down if anything else! but i tend to just hop from scene to scene, not necessarily in chronological order!

20. What storylines would you like to see for your favorite characters next season?

other than buddie canon which feels like a cop out answer, i'd love to see bobby's sponsor storyline develop. i'd like to see madney wedding planning and the shenanigans surrounding that. i enjoyed the taste of maddie mentoring in the call centre so i'd like for that to be developed a little too!

Does the one where Eddie is an MMA fighter responding to Buck’s thirst tweets count? I feel like it should. I like you so much (it’s kinda gross) by @dickley-buddie and @gayhoediaz.

EDIT to include some olympics AUs, the obvious king of sports AUs: sometimes its hard to see what the future holds (swimmer!Buck and taekwondo!Eddie) by @capseycartwright which has some amazing dynamics. Same goes for maybe one day ill fly next to you (figure skating) by @tripleaxeldiaz (v appropriate handle there), where the UST in the form of hate and rivalry is absolutely next level right until Buck fully buys into the hype. And of course something greater than gold.... with all its mystery around a star athlete dropping out of the scene.
