Finished commissions for @ dicedumpling (on insta) of their character Marcie!! Whom i’ve actually drawn before as a little girl with her father a while back!! It’s been a while since i’ve made a character design but this was the perfect opportunity to get back into the swing of things!! I had so much fun with her 😭❤️

Rather than accepting Jou's help up, Otogi groaned and swatted at his hands before laying full-out on the carpet. "Leave me alone to die~" Okay, he was being dramatic, but he'd been up all night programming and working on his game again. It had been mostly out of excitement for a new turn in the project, but he was exhausted nonetheless. Hell, he was ready to just lay down and sleep there.

“What?! No! No dying on the floor. Not right after we got the carpet steamed -- !”

Joey, cracking himself up, kneels on the floor at Ryuji’s side.

“And if you die on this project, then whose sexy assistant am I gonna be, huh?”

It was a bigger house than Yuugi had grown up in with way more places to hide, so he had thought that picking somewhere in his room would be the last place Otogi would look. Maybe it was, he had no way of knowing. 

But when his boyfriend opened the door it would appear empty, because he was not hiding in plain sight. Drawing his lips in a thin line, Yuugi did his best to stifle any snickers that might escape as Otogi searched the room. 

He listened from his spot in the back corner of the closet.

After being grilled for making his friends wait so long last time Ryou had intended on being thirty minutes early to their usual spot in the mall, where he’d happily wait for them alone.  He hadn’t intended on waiting with Duke Devlin; for one on one social interaction was never something he was particularly good at. 

“So..your card.” Ryou cleared his throat drawing a card from the shuffled deck.

“The Sun. This card represents inspiration, good fortune and radiance. Like the sun people around you may feel your rays of joy and warmth which draws them to you. It can also represent success on your path and moving forward to something greater... ”

Again Otogi was surprised as he was pulled out the door with surprising strength. But he chuckled, making sure the door was locked before he followed the other down to the taxi. “It’s a pretty busy event, so I got us the special passes that let us speed past most of the line too. The u limited version. So we can see the ghostbusters as many times as you want.”

Followed wasn’t quite the right word–Ryou’s excitement had him tugging at Otogi’s wrist, arm, shirt, whatever he could reach as he all but vibrated his way to the waiting taxi. Once settled in, it took everything he had to keep himself from pinning his boyfriend to the back seat, as that sort of behavior was deeply frowned upon.

“This is incredible. I can’t believe you really…” He leaned heavily against the other young man, careful to avoid getting the attention of the driver. “Thank you, Ryuuji.”

Atem was grateful to be back in Domino. While his time was for the moment limited to only a few months, he somehow felt a little more comfortable here than he did back in his homeland. Perhaps he had gotten too attached to his friends over the last few years. But it was exactly why he had decided to visit the cafe during quieter hours. And to avoid many people bothering him.

While he was waiting for coffee however, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his shoulder, and Atem knew what it felt like to be shot by an arrow. But who the hell was using arrows in Domino City?!“Urgh--” He turned to attempt to pull it from him, but no sooner than he had reached, the pain was mysteriously gone, and his hand grasped at nothing. “What...” He was suddenly overcome with such an intense emotion, one of warmth and... desire? What in the world? He covered his face. What had he been shot with?!

Atem study Otogi’s features as he seem to consider his answer and all of his intuition was telling him that he would take that chance to change his fate. So his answer didn’t surprise... But at the same time, he understood how he felt.

Okay, yes, he was staring, but not for a creepy reason like half the other people in the damn cafe. What was he staring at, well that would be the man who just walked into the cafe, and caused over half its patrons to have a miniature heart attack at the sight. Not that Ryuzaki could blame said patrons,dude looked like a fucking model. His visual attractiveness, however, was not the reason Ryuzaki was staring.

Ryuzaki was staring because he was pretty damn sure he’d seen the guy somewhere, and was pretty sure he had a reason to be bitter at him, and if there was one thing Ryuzaki never missed out on, it was a chance to be a bitter ass... and a Jurassic Park marathon but that was beside the point. He took his eyes off the guy and grabbed his own drink from his table, taking a sip and hoping the caffeine in the glorified milkshake would help him remember exactly where he’d seen the ‘model looking fuck’ before. 

As it turned out, he wouldn’t have the chance to think, as by the time he set his drink down. the aforementioned ‘model looking fuck’ was standing directly to the right of his table. Which earned him a startled Ryuzaki flinching with a small yelp at the sudden distance drop between the two.

Ryuji’s touch trails down his back, as delicately as if he’s made of fine crystal, and Joey shivers.

The line trails down his back, slightly raised, slightly reddened, jagged and branching off into shorter trails. It’s the same shape of a lightning strike. And considering that’s what did it...

“It’s okay, it don’t hurt.”

Sometimes Yuugi could be a light sleeper, but it was usually when something was bothering him. There was a sound from the window nearby and he jerked awake, and looked up just in time to see someone climbing in through the window. 

He froze in fear as his sleep-fogged brain processed what he was seeing. Was it the remnants of a dream he was forgetting? Or was someone really breaking in to his room?

Then he recognized the silhouette.

“Ryuji?” He yelped, incredulous, “What are you doing coming in here that way?”

He gave a loud noise of surprise as he stumbled backwards, barely catching himself against the nearest wall. Once he got his bearings, Otogi kisses back with just as much excitement. Nothing pleases him more than knowing he’d made his boyfriend THAT happy. Finally he had to pull away to make sure they could both /breathe/. “You’ll get to see terror dogs too, by the way.”

“–!!”

The box was tucked under an arm as both hands went to grip his boyfriend’s wrist, pulling back while tugging him along, headed for the door.

“What are we waiting for…!”
