Somewhat related to Ginger's LTW to marry off 6 children: Sten went to church, mostly to talk to Leo or Murie Pike. Ginger suggested matchmaking Gil and Osanna, since the Pikes are doing pretty good on all fronts except the "getting married" one, so Sten went off to discuss it with the adults in charge of Gil.
Leo seems pretty happy about the idea.

I'm finally watching the Quinton reviews Sam and cat videos and itheres this moment two and half hours in thats kinda funny to me because he brings up the fact that it is absolutely possible to be both POC and white, this is what I and a lot of other biracial folk are, and hes using this to segue into the fact that Victoria justice is biracial too, latina/white, and mentions that made it weird that in one of the movies, Nickelodeon cast a lil ginger boy as her brother.
and like. I get where he's coming from. But in Hispanic families, having a random kid who looks Nothing like the rest of the family bc of how the genetics dice landed is like. normal. something something the history of colonization and also recessive genes kicking around. and it's funny bc the entire rest of the bit is an extremely like. nice acknowledgement of the weird place white biracials are in culturally, that trips and breaks it's nose halfway through on a tangent.

Chicken Tikka Pita
Ingredients:
For the Chicken Tikka:
500g (1 lb) Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast or Thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
2 tbsp Lemon Juice
3 cloves Garlic, minced
1 tbsp Ginger, minced
1 tbsp Garam Masala
1 tbsp Ground Coriander
1 tsp Ground Cumin
1 tsp Ground Turmeric
1 tsp Paprika
1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper (adjust to taste)
1 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Olive Oil
For the Pita Assembly:
4-6 Pita Breads
1 cup Cucumber, thinly sliced or diced
1 cup Red Onion, thinly sliced
1 cup Cherry Tomatoes, halved
1 cup Lettuce or Arugula
1/2 cup Fresh Cilantro or Mint Leaves, chopped
1/2 cup Hummus or Tzatziki Sauce

Playing a 40K chaos themed D&D game, so it’s all set in the grimdark.
Anyways, there was a session where only myself, and one other player could make it. Our DM threw us into an oddly traditional fantasy themed dungeon, got to the end to be pulled out of it into Tzeench’s crystal tower, where he laughed and thanked us for playing 5th dimensional dnd with him.
Some of the best (almost) fourth-wall whiplash Ive ever forgotten

Coconut Chickpea Curry
Instructions
vegetable oil
2 medium onion, finely chopped (~ 2 cup) (yellow or red)
6 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tsp raw ginger, minced
2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp curry powder
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp ground cardamom
dash of cumin
Salt to taste
2 can (15.5 oz, each) chickpeas, drained
1 can (13.5 oz) coconut milk
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
Serving: cooked rice (I recommend basmati) (either while making the curry (during the simmer stage), or previously cooked)
Serving: veggies of your choice (carrot, bell pepper (red or green), cauliflower)
Instructions
0. Chop the onion. I also recommend prepping the side vegetables
1. Add a dash of oil to a large pan and once hot add in the chopped onion. Fry the onion gently for about 5 minutes until it starts to caramelize.
Okay, I didn’t get caramelized, just softened. To darken them, try not stirring.
2. Add in the minced garlic, minced ginger, turmeric, curry powder, chili powder, cardamom, cumin, and a dash of salt. Cook for another minute and continue stirring to avoid burning. Add a dash of water to prevent from sticking.
3. Add in the drained chickpeas, coconut milk, and tomatoes. Mix everything together.
4. Add enough water just to cover the chickpeas. Put the lid on and cook on a low heat for 20 to 25 minutes.
Cooking with lid on, you have a lot of liquid. I don’t find this a bad thing, but if you want less liquid, take the lid off
5. Serve with some rice and veggies.

Hi it's starting to get cold in the northern hemisphere so yall are getting a soup recipe. this cost roughly a dollar or two per cup.

Ingredients
Bell pepper
Yellow or white onion
Garlic
1 or 2 winter squashes
Sour cream (for garnish. Sub for coconut cream if you don't like it)
Coconut milk
4 c water or broth of your choice (chicken or veggie recommended)
Seasonings. Important is cumin and chili pepper of your choice. I used curry powder and paste, cumin, Mexican chili powder and ginger. Salt and pepper are really good and bring out the taste. Msg can add in umami if you want it.
I also recommend having a crusty bread like a sourdough to go with this.

Dice squash and put into bowl. Dice onion and pepper.
Add onion and pepper and garlic into a large pot with a knob of butter. Sautee 2 mins

Season the hell outta your squash cubes. Add them to the pot and Saute like 3 mins or so until the edges soften a slight amount.

Add your water/broth and coconut milk. Boil.
Reduce to simmer. Cover with lid. Stir every so often to check doneness. (about 30 mins)
Once soft take off the stove and allow to cool ~20 mins until you wouldn't get burned it if splashed on you. Either blend in a stand blender or use an immersion blender until smooth. If it's too runny, soft boil in the pan until thicker.
Serve with scallions cilantro or sour cream (my fave)

These can freeze for up to 2 months if cooled before freezing to prevent freezer burn.
