Celebi's one saving grace is that she's got a get out of jail free card in the form of her ability to time travel being baked into her very being. She can go anywhere and everywhere she wants, so long as there's nobody with greater temporal power around preventing her from doing so... And Dialga pretty much owes her a life debt at this point too, so she's not getting in trouble for stepping on his toes anytime soon.

Palkia doesn't like her enough to allow her to cross into alternate dimensions very often, though, so she isn't able to timeline jump as much as she'd prefer. That doesn't mean she doesn't try, of course!

... What do you mean she's in spatial prison because she saw a cool alternate timeline she wanted to check out and now she needs bail money because Palkia caught her. Celebi we talked about this---

Speaking of which, " Stole most of the street signs in my town. They never got replaced. ", unfortunately not guessed by our Ree but by Rika's, was in fact Red's! So scandalous!

Another big one,  "Uhm, to put it bluntly... I have superpowers. I can't go into more detail than that right now, but I wanted to get it off my chest. I'm tired of hiding and being scared. So, uh, yeah, heh... ", given to Wes, was Hau's! Alola must be full of surprises!

" One Pokemon of mine evolved prematurely to protect me from an ex when I was a teen. ", the quite sad secret Giovanni recieved, was Shay's! We wish her nothing but the best!

And last but not least, " He used to collect the original pokemon cards, and at one point had the original 149 (no mew or mewtwo) ", guessed by our May, was Giovanni's! I'd argue that there are plenty of more juicy secrets from this man, but who are we to judge, eh?

And now, for the points.

So i am crazy tired right now and just had a very very dumb Pokémon Arceus AU/ fic prompt idea where Akari is Dawn has amnesia like Ingo they’ve both been in the past for ages and then some new bad guy decides to mess around Palkia and Dialga or some relic resulting in some sort of spacetime rift that means new antagonist ends up in the future and a group go after them including Akari and Ingo.

Just Akari and Ingo back in their time but neither remembering much at all and just focusing on getting the bad guy and getting back home.

Only of course there is chaos Cynthia, Barry, Emmet and everyone else are trying to figure out WTF is happening, made harder because Ingo or Akari are letting them get close becuase this is mean to be stealth mission and are so confused.

Things are even more confusing when Cyllene and Professor Laveneton show up to help/provide more information (who are basically Akari’s mom and dad at this point)

Everyone is very confused and trying to figure out what’s going on while dealing with whatever chaos new antagonist is causing…. And Akari/Ingo getting their memories back.

YOO trailer dropped! What do you think of those legends?

(This is a special edition review for the Scarlet and Violet trailer! After this, requests will go back to the usual oldest-first order.)

You know, I'll be honest, I didn't think I'd like these guys much based on what our leakers said. Dragon (and psychic) weren't types I wanted to see more legendaries of, and I couldn't imagine the vehicle aspect in any way that didn't look either ridiculous or too inorganic. Plus I'm just not usually big on legendary designs in general.

So I was pleasantly surprised to find that I actually really, really like these guys. I'll have to find out more about both of them and let them sit with me for a while, but right now I'd say they're in my top 5 or so for legendary designs.

First, conceptually, I really like how both represent the past vs future (or rather, tradition vs innovation, I would wager) theme from the games. Like, you could never guess that Palkia and Dialga are space and time themed from their appearances, but here you can tell at a glance what they're going for, and that's always a good thing in my book.

And secondly, the way the motorcycle idea is integrated into both designs is super slick. The wheels on the chests actually look very organic, similar to how lizards tend to have neck frills and other protrusions to scare off predators. The handles being frills and horns is perfect, and even the seat is integrated in a way that you wouldn't notice it immediately. Also, the curved body shape in general makes them look very distinct visually.

I'd also like to note how clever the idea of ridable legendaries might be, depending on how Gamefreak handles it. One problem legendaries have always has is that you don't get them until basically postgame, and they're so OP when you get them that you have no reason to use or bond with them. If you can ride on these guys somewhat early on but can't catch them until later, it would be the perfect way to let players grow attached without giving them an uber-powerful Pokemon early on.

My only note in this regard is that I've heard the idea of vehicle form(s) tossed around, and frankly, am I the only one who doesn't want that? They already look like motorcycles, and can be ridden on as-is (assuming they can run on all fours in Koraidon's case). Making them Transformers overcomplicates things and simply doesn't feel needed.

Between the two, Miraidon's probably the better designed, but Koraidon's probably my personal fav (mostly because I like the organic look more). Those huge feathers that serve as handlebars look really cool and compliment the flow of the design nicely, it's cool to see a dragon with feathers in general, and the design is pretty coherent as a whole.

Like a lot of legendaries, it's pretty busy visually. Thankfully, the repeated elements (like the feathers and the tire elements) make it read as a coherent whole despite this, which is also helped by the clear theme and unique design.

However, with that said, there are still a few details I think should've been scrapped:

That random white spot on the face

The white diamonds on the body. I get that they're meant to look race-like but it's a bit much

The black pads on the hands

The blue feathers coming off the elbows

That's really it though; the rest of it looks pretty amazing.

Miraidon has the better design as a whole, mostly because it's got less details on it. In fact, the only thing that I think should've been simplified is the cluster of lines on the lower underbelly; the rest of it looks solid.

I really like the chest again here, this time going for more of a futuristic one-wheeled motorcycle instead of the traditional Harley. The plasma-like insides both work to make it look organic and inorganic at the same time, as do the sweet pixelated eyes.

I also like the built-in functionality on display, namely how the legs can unfold to form rockets/levitation devices. Both futuristic but also shows how much thought went into everything.

Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised with both of these two, and excited to see what the story behind them is.

Some Guy Cyrus AU is the funniest AU ever. Man's just trying to live and be weird on his own time and now he's got this 12 year old trying to fist fight him in a Denny's parking lot.

Like he's literally jsut there existing and being normal while managing a company filled with young adult toddlers that can't even remember that their pokemon evolve and now he's got to deal with this.

What would be even more hilarious is that the kid's just doing what all young trainers do and commence fist fighting with a small electric rat upon eye contact. They don't even have any beef with them, it's just the Cain Instinct.

Until they run across him because he's getting tired of it and then think he's some kind of villain because of his stoic expression. Meanwhile Cyrus is trying so hard to just, not facepalm at all this nonsense. Why is this his life.

Not to mention you're cracking up beside him hysterically.

The twelve year, Dawn, likely mistook the Galactic employees for doing something suspicious because they may or may not have been trying to sabotage Cyrus's competitors. They were not doing anything like actually harmful, but still. She gets even more suspicious when she breaks into one of their HQs and sees that the costumes weren't some weird one-off thing, and they all dress like that. She's convinced they're up to nefarious things.

It's worsened when she meets Cyrus, who looks the very definition of menacing. When he tries to make awkward conversation about the legendary pokemon of Sinnoh, she misinterprets it as his evil plans rather than an ice breaker. They battle; she wins. This is annoying, but bearable to Cyrus.

She then runs into him again on date with you in Amity Square. Dawn charges up to you and starts telling you about how bad Cyrus is and how he is totally going to summon Dialga and Palkia to destroy the world. The Galactic president is just staring into space thinking about why this is happening, while you're nearly in tears. You burst into laugh as she comes to halt. Politely, you explain that your boyfriend is just some guy who runs a power company and has a few weird aesthetic choices. There is no cult, and there is certainly no summoning of legendaries to create a new world. Cyrus is perfectly content with where he lives. This makes a rare blush cross his cheeks.

Dawn still doesn't entirely believe you or trust Cyrus, but lets it go. At least, until she finds him somewhere else suspicious looking to the legendaries as a hobby.

Nobility AU - Melli

[Inspired by @monsoon-of-art's Pokerus AU and @jade-nargacuga's Pokerus: Ghosts]

*BONK!*

*Rattle* *Rattle*

Lord Electrode groaned, more of his internal seeds jostling loose. There hadn’t been any sort of split or nick yet, though, which was...more than a little annoying.

If he actually died before pulling this off, then Melli would just perform the Rite normally. And that was something he couldn’t let happen. Otherwise, all these attempts to get seeds would be for nothing!

As he rolled back up the hill, the Lord of the Hollow thought about his Warden. Melli... was something else, that’s for sure. There hadn’t been a Warden so dedicated to their Noble and their Clan in ages!

(He’d miss those spa days. They made him feel so clean and shiny...

Maybe they could work out an alternative method or something.)

He was also quite the singer, having put on performances for the evolved Sphere Pokémon. All the Voltorbs would spread the news the minute they knew Melli was planning a performance, which led to constantly huge turnouts.

If only it didn’t boost the man’s ego any further...

*BONK!*

*Rattle* Again? Ugh.

Anyways. Ego. Specifically, Melli’s ego. It was the one thing Lord Electrode disliked about his Warden. The man would boast and brag about nearly anything, putting himself on a massive pedestal. He only respected Adaman, the Nobles, and Dialga. 

...oh, telling him about Arceus wasn’t going to be fun. Best have some backup for that.

Not to mention the change in status quo. Truth be told, if there was another option to protect the man, he’d take it. Becoming a Noble wouldn’t be good for that Coronet-sized ego, and it’d take a miracle from Sinnoh to get that pedestal knocked over.

Still. It was this, or Melli lost himself to a feral rage. (Mental note: Thank Lord Braivary later for sharing Sabi’s vision. Knowing just what was to come cleared away all his doubt regard-)

*BONK*

*crick*

*rattle* That was a crack! Rolling to check, the Lord of the Hollow saw that seeds were coming out - albeit slowly. Good, this would work. Time to set up the circle.

Melli would have his Rite after all.

When Melli returned, the Lord had to act fast. 

The Warden’s eyes instantly fell on his crack, at which he practically catapulted himself towards the Lord. “L-Lord Electrode! You’re injured! We need to get that patched!”

Normally, this would be a good thing - gets the guy in position. Unfortunately, there was the small matter of proximity to the Rite. The orb didn’t want to risk being too close to the circle of seeds when it lit up. If he was, the power transfer might fail outright. It...wasn’t a guarantee, but for his...rear-end of a Warden?

Only a guarantee was good enough.

So he rolled back, Melli in hot pursuit. The first time, he bounded right through the circle - crud. Roll away, try and get behind.

“M-My Lord? What are you - OH SINNOH YOU’RE SPILLING SEEDS!” Finally noticed it wasn’t just a flesh wound, huh? Good, all the more reason to pursue. 

And a reminder of how there was still a timer on this. Most of his seeds had been jostled free from his inside when trying to get the crack to form. If he lost too many, then the Rite couldn’t start properly - which meant, again, he’d hurt himself for nothing.

...not being able to talk to your Warden sucked. It’d have made this whole debacle so much easier!

Melli’s pace did peter out over time, rendering the Lord able to control his path somewhat. Having done a small half-ring around the Rite circle, the Noble Electrode waited across from the Diamond Clansman. The Warden, tiring out as he was, opted for the quickest point between A and B:

Right across the circle.

Alright, eyes on the prize Electrode. Wait for it... he’s across the border... nearing the center...

And was now looking down, blinking. “Is this a...Leaf Stone?”

Yes. Yes, it was. Reacting as soon as he saw Melli pick up the evolution stone, the soon-to-be-ex-Lord fired off a mighty spark into the circle of seeds. Melli reacted as soon as the spark hit, letting out a “What-” before the seeds ignited.

Bright light illuminated the little grove selected for the Rite, a wince coming from the slowly shrinking ‘mon as he hear Melli yelp. It wasn’t in pain, he was sure - but likely confusion and discomfort.

Cracking an eye open to see, the Lord watched as his Warden was forced into a fetal position, slowly swelling. Clothes slowly burnt to cinders (without any fire, thank Palkia) as the changing human looked forwards, locking eyes with his shrinking Lord.

A small “how?” was mouthed before the changes took hold, limbs and torso fusing together as his forming... plumpness... lifted him off the ground. (Heh, something to tease about later maybe?) His head pushed back, sinking into his shoulders as the ex-Lord kept emptying his energy into the circle. 

The Leaf Stone had long lost its glow, the changes shattering it to bits as Melli’s hands ceased to exist, swallowed up in stiffening "fat". His head grew larger alongside his body, divots forming around his eyes as a familiar pattern formed on his “upper” half. Cherry-red coated the other side, hair falling away - odd, why wasn’t it being burnt?

Oh. Melli was...crying. Over the hair loss. Maybe this was to humble the future Lord some. In which case, it can keep on falling.

The seam between head and “shoulders” slowly began to fade, body pushing out to proper Electrode proportions as the changes came to a close. Sir Voltorb let the flow of energy peter out, knowing the Rite had been successful. Just from a glance, you could tell the new Electrode was the Lord of the Hollow.

Said Lord was busy freaking out, having just noticed that ‘oh yeah my limbs are gone!!’. The smaller Sphere approached the larger, sighing and looking him in the eyes. “I’m...sorry I had to do this...

Melli’s response was filled with sheer panic, a slight crackling filling the air. “I-Wha-why?! How?” The Voltorb moved back a tiny bit, having seen his former Warden swell almost imperceptibly. Oh boy. He’d have to be very careful with this explanation. Well, unless he wanted to explain that the two of them were late to the meet-up because, surprise, Melli had Self-Destructed on them in pure panic.

...maybe he should’ve gotten that backup sooner.

(Not gonna lie, wasn't sure I'd be able to do this for a while. I get into characters' heads when I write, but getting into Melli's head was something I'd reaaaaly rather not do. As in, writer's block "rather not do".

Thankfully I realized I could work around this by shifting the POV character to Lord Electrode, and focus a bit more on the Rite itself - as well as Melli's changes. I've glossed over all the other changes because they weren't what the POV character was focused on [and most times, said characted didn't even know changes were happening]. Hopefully it's not too squicky for you all? Turning into a sphere isn't pleasant, and I think I went about it in the most tasteful way I could.)

Okay, Legends endgame stuff.  Actual spoilers.

This is such a Mystery Dungeon game.  You get kicked out of the village and have to fend for yourself.  Kamado is a dick.  Cyllene is the best, except not anymore because of Cogita.  I love her.  I love her so much.

This shit then gets into peak Gen 4 lore.  You track down the lake trio for the Red Chain, and they each have trials that start with facing an Alpha of rare Pokemon, then the actual trial.  Mesprit, as the being of emotion, asks a bunch of questions about how you’re feeling about things and how you felt through your journey.  All answers are right, but it’s a little character building for your MU.  Azelf’s is great because as the being of willpower, you have to just keep trying as it goads you into giving up on an impossible task.  It feels very thematic, and it kinda reminds me of Final Fantasy IV, when Cecil becomes the Paladin and has to face his Dark Knight self, and it’s impossible to win through force so the solution is to not attack and just heal to signify putting your violent self behind you.  Then there’s Uxie, whose knowledge puzzle is just counting eyes on some Pokemon.  2/3 isn’t bad, I just hate that the knowledge puzzle is so uninspired.

Cogita has some fantastic dialogue about the nature of reality and how the concepts of the beings of spirit and time/space interconnect, and it’s all really cool and again, peak Sinnoh lore.  Fucking love this whole sequence so much.

So then the climb up, and apparently Beni, the nice guy who makes you mochi, is a fucking assassin ninja.  Which is insane.  Like, of all the things I reasonably could’ve predicted this was not at all one of them, but I adore it.  This might be my favorite.

Kamado’s whole thing about fearing Pokemon at least has some sense, and is an interesting approach, but he’s kinda too much of a dick to the player for literally no reason for me to care much about him.  Like there’s no reason for the level of suspicion he has.  It just feels really dumb.  But there’s been worse.  And after he’s defeated I like him a lot more.

The reveal of Dialga’s great (my wife sided Diamond), especially in tandem with the realization of what we all know: oh shit, both clans were right, these are two sides of the same thing.  Palkia’s introduction was super intimidating too.  Having Kamado freaking out about a second coming in, the Red Chain being shattered, the slow descent.  It’s really good.

Unfortunately it’s been mired down by the next bit, where the fucking Miss Fortune sisters show up for literally no reason.  I hate these three now.  I was fine with them existing, but now they’re just slowing down a really, really good climax with tedious busywork.

Unfortunately my wife is tired so we can’t finish up.  Tomorrow then.  But yeah this is a lot of fun.  I really like where this is going.

“I met Ingo first. He was so different from the way he is here! But I suppose that’s what losing your memories can do to you. The thing is, he was already very impressive back then with the way he bonded with pokémon, especially Sneasler. . . and I think that’s a very big sign of empathy. Ingo wasn’t incredibly expressive and that’s okay! One doesn’t need to be! What matters is the heart and I could already see when he was in that state that he has a very big one.”

Mai moves to pick up Minccino and let the pokémon sit on her shoulder. “And now that I know what he’s like here and with most of his memories returned. . . I think even more that he’s incredibly talented, smart, and kind. When I first got here, he dispersed a crowd with ease! Just had to use his voice! He’s got a strong bond with his pokémon too and it’s wonderful to watch. Truly, I’m happy I get to see him be the way he really is! Poor guy was so quiet and tired and clearly not entirely himself in Hisui!”

“Though, I do think he really needs to take more breaks-- take better care of himself. He deserves it. I understand and can see that he loves what he does, but everyone needs some time to relax and sleep, you know? You can have more fun when you take good care of yourself, too! Hopefully, I can help him see that, someday.”

She starts to gently pet Minccino, also scratching her behind one of her ears a little bit. “I met Emmet a little later than him.” A chuckle leaves her lips. “Almighty Dialga, he’s such an energetic guy! Such a wonderful presence! You simply can’t be bored with him around. Yes, he can be terribly rude and sometimes a bit difficult to handle. But that goes for everyone and you shouldn’t only look at that and completely ignore how wonderful and kind he is as well, especially towards Ingo and his pokémon.”

“Just look at how upset he gets when someone bothers his older brother or is rude to him in general! Look at how hard he worked to get him back! It’s incredibly sweet. . . He’s wonderful to me too. The latest ‘mission’ he seems to have is finding a girlfriend for me in that chaotic way of his. A little overwhelming, for someone like me who is so awkward, but. . . I do genuinely appreciate it.”

“Emmet is so talented and smart too. I still remember how impressed and in awe I was the first time I saw him battle. You should see just how amazing he is at working together with his pokémon! And he’s such a powerful duo together with Ingo too! Those two are so talented!” 

Another chuckle leaves her lips. “For the longest time, I couldn’t understand what they meant with ‘trains’, ‘stations’, ‘tracks’ and ‘all aboard’. But I get it now and can listen to them talk about trains for hours. I may still have a hard time understanding a couple of things but. . . Seeing how happy they are when they get to talk about that subject is the best.”

The smile on Mai’s face widens. “I’m happy that I get to call them my little brothers!”

Also these have no specific order, they're all over the place, and I'm not sorry

Bidoof and Jirachi are friends and visit eachother sometimes, although it doesn't happen super often because Jirachi is almost always tired/asleep

Dusknoir and Grovyle used to spar together before things went bad, so they both know each others tricks (though there are still certain moves that they have trouble dealing with, such has Grovyles ability to escape tight spaces)

Celebi has tiny little fae fangs because I said so

Chatot has a habit of perching on Wigglytuff's head

Armaldo? You mean Wigglytuff's adoptive uncle?

Armaldo has passed away by the time the main events of the game are happening, and Wigglytuff makes it a habit to visit his burial sight. Sometimes Chatot will accompany her and she'll tell him about all sorts of adventures they had together.

Chatot and Wigglytuff will occasionally stay up and discuss different things that are going on, or tell stories.

Crogunk was a criminal before he joined the guild

Crogunk, Chimecho, and Dugtrio are usually the ones who watch the guild if the others go out on an expedition

Sunflora has a crush on Loudred (but shh, don't tell anyone)

Chimecho is basically the guild's mom

Team Charm was what got Wigglytuff back into exploring with others, one of their adventures lead to her meeting Chatot and forming a guild

Team Charm will randomly visit the guild, mostly to get jobs, but they also visit with Wigglytuff and bond with some of the guild members, like Sunflora

Darkrai has talked to Dusknoir before, helping solidify that whole "gotta murder the good guys" thing (he also occasionally pops up in his nightmares)

Chatot and Wigglytuff are Manaphy's uncle/aunt/grandpa/grandma/whatever now I don't make the rules

Hero and partner almost always take Manaphy on adventures with them, once Manaphy is ready for them

Even when Manaphy leaves, Hero still has a habit of buying blue gummies from the Klecleon brothers

Dusknoir got to see the sunrise with Celebi and Grovyle and did NOT disappear just a second before it happened

Celebi and Dusknoir, weirdly enough, get along really well after everything happens

Grovyle and Dusknoir are capable of having civil conversations, even before they decide to team up. It's just not very likely to happen-

Dusknoir gives the best hugs (good luck getting him to give you one)

Also this is kind of canon but Dusknoir & the Sableye care a great deal for eachother

Future trio has trauma and tend to get jumpy whenever they're around Dialga

The legendaries will occasionally host little get togethers (both for fun and to make sure that things aren't exploding)

Sometimes they'll have honored guests at said get togethers, so Grovyle, Celebi, and Dusknoir get to meet a couple of them. (So do Partner & Hero, in their respective timeline)

Dusknoir & Grovyle play chess together, sometimes Celebi will join in for a three way chess battle, which is almost always chaotic and somehow she almost always wins.

Celebi has a habit of leaning on Dusknoir's head or holding Grovyle's head leaf.

Fellow member of the Palkia squad here to say that it's heartwarming beyond belief to see someone who's also aware of Palkia's coolness and how it doesn't deserve to be overlooked like this! I could write a whole essay defending my favorite Pokemon of all time but it'd exceed the character limit haha. It's so frustrating when every Sinnoh fan I know is another one of those "lol Pokemon with utter control over dimensions looks like a penis so it's lame" people. Anyway I love you. A LOT. End rant

Ahhh I answered this late but here we go!

I'm sure you have an idea of how relieving it is seeing fellow Palkia fans around and saying things like this. I don't understand the whole penis argument. Sure, Palkia is shaped a bit like a penis, but Giratina is an oversized centipede and Dialga is a pony with armor. The damn thing has built-in gauntlets and massive pearls on its shoulders that literally help it build energy to use a move capable of distorting space and literally vaporizing anything in its path. IT HAS A FUCKING SAIL (sail?? crest?? fin?? idk) FOR ARCEUS FUCKING SAKE IT'S THE MOST BADASS FUCKING THING HOLY FUCK (okay i've used up half of my fuck allowance for this)

Don't get me started on movie Palkia. Not only does it have THE coolest anime cry, this thing transferred an entire town into an entirely different dimension almost effortlessly! When the town was basically destroyed, it was Palkia who felt bad and fixed everything, including the shit that wasn't even its fault! In the 12th movie, Palkia was the one who didn't start beef with its siblings, saved it from a massive space-distorting water vortex, and almost single-handedly restrained Arceus for presumably hours. Not Giratina. Not Dialga. Palkia. Sure, Dialga was the one who carried the Sinnoh movies by breaking Palkia's arm, sticking Giratina in a timeloop, and sending the protagonists back in time to fix the past, but you can't say that Palkia was sitting on its ass the entire time (okay MAYBE you can for the 11th but the 10th and 12th? definitely not!) or that it was the creation trio's resident asshole. PMD Palkia is just as good if not better than movie Palkia. Yes, he comes off as an unlikable asshole at first glance, but he's a lot more reasonable than Dialga was for most of the story. He wasn't as easily manipulated, he had enough common sense to tell that the protagonists weren't terrible bad guys trying to destroy space, and he actually took action when he found out what had actually happened. Darkrai planned to meddle with time and shit to try again and Palkia pulls a MASSIVE "I'm about to end this man's whole career" and pisses all over Darkrai's plans and gives the bitch the MOST IRONIC punishment I've ever seen in any Pokemon game, spinoff or not.

Pearl was my second Pokemon game and the first that I really got to slow down and enjoy the content of the game, and Palkia was the first legendary I ever caught by myself. Yes, I am biased towards Palkia because of this, even if Platinum is infinitely better than DP. I hate seeing Palkia being treated as lesser than the other two by both TPC and the fandom. It's not the first case of a legendary being treated as lesser than the other members of its trio (Moltres, Kyogre to an extent) but it's one of the worst cases I've seen because it's not just the fans overlooking it, it's the developers as well. Giratina has two epic looking forms, an amazing shiny, and let's not forget the most iconic legendary scene. Dialga got an epic second form and a huge role in a spinoff game that's just as good as Platinum. Palkia got a side role in that spinoff game and though he was a badass (bitch busts down your door in the middle of the night to kidnap you and your best friend to try and murder you) it was still only a side role. It also never got any type of secondary form. I mean, Palkia doesn't even need one to absolutely slaughter the design aspect, but still shows the favoritism pretty well 😳

TL;DR: Palkia fuckin slaps in just about every way and I'm a stressed Palkia fan who's tired of favoritism. Also ilyt anon, thank you so much for sending this and giving me an excuse to rant at midnight about fictional creatures and favoritism. With that being said:

    The following morning greeted everyone suddenly. Typically, they rested for the nights in forests, or somewhere with cover, and even when they had gone out to Magma Cavern, they had been tired enough to sleep through the early morning. Now though, them being out where it was more open forced the sun to their eyes from the beginning of the sunrise. There were only a couple that slept in very long, but otherwise everyone was up right at dawn. They handled breakfast for the morning, and then began heading out towards Brine Cave.

    While they still lacked a proper map for the Grass Continent, the memory of those who had been here in the dead timeline was enough to server as their directions to the dungeon. The four of them took the lead, including Nelvana, who Alex would talk to enthusiastically about their previous experiences in this location that she could not remember, in hopes of prompting some sort of memory. He wasn’t successful, but she enjoyed the conversation nevertheless.

    “My only worry now is that we don’t have that relic fragment thingy. Do you think the Rainbow Stoneship will be functional?” Ceebee pointed out, interrupting the other two’s conversation.

    “It should be,” Dusknoir spoke up, and then coughed. “The Rainbow Stoneship was only damaged from the meteor, as was the Temporal Tower. We should have complete access to it now.”

    “The Rainbow Stoneship… would that have been our first time actually seeing bright colors?” Nelvana murmured, “it was still rainbow, right?”

    Alex, who previously had turned to Dusknoir with a frown, grinned as he spun back to look at his partner, eyes lighting up.

    “Yes, yes it was!” he answered.

    “I bet that looks really pretty, must have been especially pretty then, for your first time,” Keahi chimed in, stepping closer up front. “Hey, you guys haven’t seen a rainbow out here yet, haven’t you? Hopefully we’ll see one soon, they’re always really nice to see!”

    “Oh, yeah, an actual rainbow would be nice,” Nelvana agreed, “I’m just excited to see the Rainbow Stoneship for now in the meantime. I have an idea of what it looks like, but it will be nice to see it for myself again.”

    “Natural rainbows usually only show up when it’s raining but also sunny,” Damien pointed out, “considering the season, we’re only going to have a few more chances for that.”

    “There are ways to manipulate water to make your own rainbows!” Keahi countered, “we could see about using the waterfall from Whiscash’s pond if we wanted to do that.”

    Damien blinked, glancing upwards as he thought back, but then nodded in agreement to Keahi’s idea.

    “Hey, you know…” he mumbled instead, “for the ‘Grass Continent’, there sure is a lack of grass out here-“

    “Everyone stop!” Tsuki suddenly yelled.

    Freezing in place, the rest of the group stiffened and stopped walking at the command, as Tsuki leapt over to the front of the group. She bent her head down, sniffing the ground and taking careful steps back and forth.

    “This is the territory of absols,” she said, her voice sounding far away as she lifted her head.

    “It is?” Keahi questioned.

    Alex paused to sniff the air, and then nodded, “it is. Good catch there, Tsuki, we wouldn’t want to be trespassing on someone else’s territory… I guess there were absols here before the time collapse.”

    “Wow, more absols? That’ll be cool, right? Tsuki, you said that you haven’t seen any other absols before,” Edgar chimed in, floating ahead to join Tsuki at the front.

    “Are absols typically territorial?” Dusknoir asked, glancing around the area, which had become rockier and slightly more mountainous as they had gotten closer towards Brine Cave.

    Tsuki didn’t answer, only continuing to look out into the distance. After a pause, Damien stepped up instead.

    “I… From what I remember, they can be sometimes, if they have something to protect,” he said.

    Dusknoir glanced back at the gengar, appearing mildly surprised that he was the one that was able to answer, but accepted this and turned back to face ahead.

    “Should we wait for some sort of border patrol then? If this territory is marked, there should be someone to check the borders, right?” Nelvana asked, crouching down to the ground as well. “This doesn’t really smell that recent…”

    Alex sighed, “well, I’d hate to be trespassing, but we can’t wait here all day… who knows when someone will be back here to check the borders. Best to ask forgiveness then permission in this case.”

    Tsuki’s fur bristled, but then she slowly nodded, “that would certainly be impolite, but these are dire circumstances; they should understand.”

    “Could we go around?” Damien offered.

    “We don’t know how far the borders stretch out,” Ceebee pointed out, “we could get sidetracked and end up wasting more time; we’d be better off waiting for some sort of border patrol in that case.”

    “If everyone agrees then, we should keep going,” Nelvana said, “keep your eyes out though, if we see anyone, we should try talking to them.”

    “Like how you called out to Tsuki when we saw her for the first time!” Keahi added.

    With that decided, the group proceeded forward. Tsuki continued to hold the lead of the group even after this; everyone silently agreeing that in the case of running into another absol, that it would be best for her to be seen first for diplomacy. For the first five tense minutes, they still didn’t run into signs of any other pokemon. Then…

    “Stop!”

    Following the booming voice came an absol leaping out from behind the rocks to stand in front of the group. Their fur, while still with a blue hue, was greyer than Tsuki’s. As well, they towered over Team Galaxy’s absol by over a foot, and their build was larger as well. Despite this, Tsuki held her head high and locked eyes with the other absol.

    “I am Daichi of the tall cliffs! Who are you, and why are you here?” the absol questioned.

    “I am Tsuki of the winter night!” Tsuki answered proudly, “and these are my allies, of Team Galaxy and otherwise. We wish to cross these lands to Brine Cave.”

    Daichi narrowed his eyes with suspicion, “why do you wish to enter Brine Cave?”

    “There is a great disaster to soon befall this world! Surely, you have sensed it as well?” Tsuki answered, “we wish to pass through Brine Cave so we may find Dialga and speak to them so that we may prevent this disaster,” she further explained.

    “If I may…” Ceebee fluttered closer to the front of the group. “Please, trust my word with this as well. We need to pass your territory so we can eventually make it to the Temporal Tower.”

    Glancing from the absol to the celebi, Daichi slowly nodded. His steely gaze then moved across the rest of the group, finally landing on Dusknoir for a few moments before he directed his attention back to Tsuki.

    “I have sensed this danger as well, you are correct,” he sighed, “I would like to believe that I can trust you. Myself and my pack guard these lands against anyone who may even try to enter the likes of Brine Cave. I can tell that you are true in your words of your goal, and I wouldn’t wish to turn down a mythical…” He stood straighter, holding his stance firm. “However, I sense disaster amongst your own group. The dusknoir is not allowed to pass. The rest of you… should be fine.”

    Dusknoir stiffened before hastily making his way over to Daichi, who bristled at his approach. Pausing, Dusknoir moved back slightly again to provide some comfort to the two absols before he spoke up.

    “Please, sir, I will admit to being such a danger in the past, but I can assure you that I only mean to help now,” he told him.

    “No,” Daichi insisted without hesitation, “I cannot, in good conscience, simply allow you to pass through here. I cannot trust you like that.”

    “Look, we’ve been keeping him supervised before now, can you trust us to keep doing that and prevent any harm?” Damien offered instead with a sigh.

    “Our mission is too important, his help is required,” Tsuki spoke up again before Daichi could respond to Damien. “If you wish, I will prove it to you in whatever way required. From an absol to an absol, you know that I would never allow someone to cause disasters under my watch.”

    Daichi huffed, “very well. We shall duel to prove ourselves. Come with me.”

    He stepped back a few paces, distancing himself from the rest of the group, and Tsuki followed after a brief moment’s hesitance. The remainder of the group glanced at one another, silently asking each other if they should follow.

    “I remember learning about this, back when I was a trainer,” Damien whispered, “we’ll have to stay back, or else it breaks the… the…” He snapped his fingers, trying to recall the right word. “…the integrity of the duel. It has to just be the two of them; if we step in to help her in any way, it doesn’t count.”

    “The integrity?” Keahi repeated, “so how… does it work?”

    “Not sure the specifics, but I think it’s a way to prove the strength of their goals…?” Damien responded with a shrug. “I only had some books to go off of, so what I know might not be accurate, but I think they’re going to prove whoever’s, uh, intention is stronger.”

    “Do you understand the rules?” Daichi’s strong voice asked, breaking through the quiet air.

    Tsuki bowed her head, “yes, now, thank you.”

    “Aw, we missed what the rules are!” Keahi groaned quietly.

    “Hopefully we’ll pick it up along the way…” Nelvana responded.

    Everyone falling silent, the two absols began to circle around one another. After a couple cycles of the two simply staring each other down as they paced, Tsuki made the first move. Throwing herself at Daichi, their horns locked against together, before with a heavy toss of his head, Daichi easily threw Tsuki away. She rolled on the ground, immediately pushing herself back to her feet to return to the duel.

    “Can she not use moves?” Alex whispered.

    “I never thought about it before, but I don’t think so… I can’t remember ever seeing one where they used actual moves, just their horns,” Damien murmured, “no, wait, they can use moves, I have seen that before. Maybe just not directly…? I remember seeing one use slash, but it was only to cut the grass since the other was hiding in it…”

    “I’ve seen that in other pokemon,” Dusknoir commented quietly, “it relays more to their true strengths to not use moves directly. It would be disrespectful for one of them to use a move in this sort of duel, but they can use it to affect the terrain, as that commends to their intelligence and tactics.”

    “What other pokemon does that, that you would know of?” Alex questioned with a hiss, but Dusknoir did not answer, instead motioning for everyone to quiet down so they could pay attention to the battle.

    Circling each other again, Tsuki’s eyes shot around, studying Daichi and the area around them. She threw herself at him again, their horns clashing against each other. This time she managed to hold her ground longer, but had to tear herself away and step back to avoid being thrown again. It was obvious that she could not win by brute force.

    They continued to pace, before eventually Daichi lunged at Tsuki instead, their horns clashing once more. Tsuki’s claws dug deep into the earth, the two forcing their weight against each other. After a few moments though, Tsuki changed her angle, forcing them to begin moving in a circle again, horns still locked against each other.

    After a few paces, she opened her mouth, puffs of frost floating out before ice was shot out at the ground. She held the attack, continuing to force the two of them to slowly turn in a circle, now with her tracing an outline out of where they had been pacing around each other before. Daichi pushed harder to try and throw Tsuki off, but that only seemed to turn them faster. She was using his strength against him. The more he would attempt to force Tsuki down to the ground, the more she would use that force to push them around, allowing her to continue to freeze their perimeter. Slowly but surely, she was creating a circle of ice around them. Not that it was easy, sometimes Daichi would tug and force Tsuki’s forelegs off the group, but she always managed to twist her way back down to force the both of them to continue turning around in place.

    Just as she barely completed the circle, Tsuki tore herself away from Daichi, scrambling away and across the ring of ice she had created. Throw off by her sudden disappearance, Daichi stumbled under his own weight, but caught himself before he fell over, standing tall again. He glared over at her, him inside the circle of ice and her now outside.

    Daichi growled with frustration, evidently not expecting this duel to last this long. Tsuki panted from her position outside of the ice ring, exhausted from putting so much force into redirecting Daichi’s strength, but she did her best to continue holding herself high. Daichi saw this sign of weakness, however, and seeking to finish this battle soon he dove at her once again.

    As one paw stepped on the ice, however, he slid over, his entire weight crashing onto his chin where he landed, crumpling onto the ring of ice. Tsuki held back a smile of triumph; he was not built for the cold like she was, her paws were larger to handle the ice, and his were better suited for climbing rocky cliffs. Daichi scrambled to pull himself to his feet again, chin bleeding from a cut from the ice, but each time he would attempt to stand, his paws would slip on the ice and send him crashing down again.

    Before he could get the idea to slide off the ice instead, Tsuki made her move. Leaping at him again, she landed safely onto the ice without any trouble and firmly placed her forepaws onto his head. He struggled against her, but his head alone could not free itself under all her strength, and the rest of his body still couldn’t manage to even stand on the ice. His claws scraped the frozen ground in a fruitless attempt to pull himself up, and then he kicked wildly back, but Tsuki had positioned herself where he could not simply reach her like that. Finally, she leaned down and tugged on his fur with her teeth.

    “Yield,” she growled.

    Daichi continued his struggle for a bit longer, but with a long sigh, he relented to her and slumped onto the frozen ground instead, breathing heavily from all his effort.

    “I yield,” he gasped back.

    Accepting her victory, Tsuki stepped off from Daichi, shaking her fur off. He attempted to stand once more without the extra weight, but still slipped over. After a pause, Tsuki padded back up to him, offering her help, which he accepted, and she dragged him off from the ice.

    With the battle clearly over, the rest of the group hurried over to their friend to congratulate her, complimenting her tactics and commending her for the success. Daichi sat down during this, patiently waiting for his opportunity to speak again. Fortunately, the cheerful chatter quickly died back down, and Tsuki turned her attention back to the other absol.

    “I must admit, I underestimated you, Tsuki,” Daichi said, “but you have most certainly proven yourself; you won that battle fairly. Your resolve for your duty here is greater than mine; you may all pass to Brine Cave.”

    Tsuki smiled, “thank you, Daichi.”

    “Excuse me, Daichi, your chin is still bleeding,” Edgar pointed out, “would you like an oran berry for that?” he offered, glancing over from Alex to Damien, the two bag carriers.

    Daichi shook his head, “thank you for the offer, but I will not need it. I will get medical attention from my pack for it later,” he replied, “now, however, I shall escort you all to Brine Cave.”

    “Oh! Thank you!” Keahi hummed, “that would be helpful, thanks! Are you sure you don’t need anything for the cut though…?”

    “I am certain. You should all save your supplies for the journey ahead anyway,” Daichi insisted, “now, come along, and stay close. We would not want to lose anyone along the way.”

    Shaking the dirt from his fur, Daichi stood again and padded off in the direction the group had been heading in before they had run into him. After exchanging some silent glances, the group followed him deeper into the absol territory.

    It was silent for the beginning of the walk, aside from Daichi exchanging some quiet and simple pleasantries and advice with Tsuki for what was to come, most of which she, and the rest of the group, already knew. Eventually though, the terrain grew even rockier, and they soon began spotting dens between the stones, and would glimpse some white pelts darting around behind the rocks. What started as glances though soon became stares, as more absols from the pack were drawn out to stand on the rocks and look over the passing group. None of them moved up or spoke up, likely because Daichi was escorting them, but there were some mixed expressions that could be seen from a lot of them.

    Suddenly though, one of the absols bounded out from behind the rocks to greet the group. This absol stood out right away, their red instead of blue fur and green eyes made sure of it. They boldly padded up to the group, smiling politely at them. Standing next to Daichi, she was at tall as him, though not as broadly built.

    “Hello! I’m Sabi!” she greeted, “er, Sabi of the mountain ores, that is,” she added.

    Tsuki smiled back, “and I am Tsuki of the winter night.”

    “Yes, greetings, Sabi,” Daichi sighed, “this group is here to visit Brine Cave. They’re going to do their best to handle the disaster we’ve all been sensing.”

    “Ohhh, I see,” Sabi replied, nodding. “Did you two duel?” she asked, looking at the cut on Daichi’s chin.

    Daichi nodded, and Sabi grinned and swayed in place, her long fur swishing around her.

    “I wish I could have seen it! Daichi getting beat by this runt- no offense,” Sabi laughed.

    Tsuki sighed, though still smiling, “none taken. I have… noticed that I am smaller than most of you.”

    “Noticed? Couldn’t you tell from… your own pack?” Sabi questioned, her own smile faltering. “Oh. Are you a lone absol?”

    “I was. I do not even remember what pack I would have come from,” Tsuki replied, gaze hardening. “I have my own pack now though, right here,” she continued with pride.

    “Aww… that’s really sweet!” Sabi purred, looking over the rest of the group. “Shame you lost your old pack, but it’s nice to see you found your way.”

    Daichi furrowed his brows, though if he doubted the value behind a non-absol pack, he did not mention it.

    “Hey, actually, are you a shiny absol?” Ceebee commented, fluttering up to Sabi.

    “Yes!” Sabi chirped with a broad grin, “only one in the pack, and proud!”

    “That’s neat, I’m actually a shiny too!” Ceebee replied, “I’ve never gotten to see another shiny before!”

    “You’re a shiny?” Sabi blinked, and then chuckled to herself. “Sorry, I’ve never gotten to see a celebi before! This is really cool! What do other celebi look like?”

    “They’re green instead of pink,” Ceebee answered.

    Daichi cleared his throat, “pardon me, but I sense that this is a time important mission, yes? We should continue heading to Brine Cave.”

    “Right, of course!” Sabi responded, “here, I’ll escort you all too!” she offered, “I’ll provide better company than Daichi here,” she teased.

    “We don’t mind the extra company!” Keahi replied.

    Daichi sighed, shaking his head, “very well, but walk and talk then, Sabi.”

    “Yeah, yeah, I get it, old man!” Sabi barked with another laugh, padding along ahead as if to prove her understanding of Daichi’s instructions.

    “Have either of you two been through Brine Cave before?” Nelvana asked, “any… tips you could maybe give about this dungeon in particular?”

    “I had been getting to that before we were interrupted,” Daichi replied, “Brine Cave is a fifteen-floor descending dungeon with one rest stop after the ninth floor. There are traps, but no monster houses. Common type is water,” he told them, “its final floor is also the home to several fossil pokemon.”

    “Ooh, yeah, them,” Sabi hissed, “we’ve managed to work out a truce with them so we can get through without… too much trouble, but they’re really territorial. Most definitely will attack you all, even if you say we’ll chill with you. They’re the time to attack first and ask questions later.”

    “So, expect a big fight at the end, got it.” Alex nodded. “How many of them are there?”

    “Uhh… it varies depending on when you go in, but usually there’s at least one kabutops and two omastar; they’re the leaders of the gang,” Sabi answered, “expect those three as a minimum and anywhere upwards to… ten? Other pokemon in the pit.”

    “And I expect you would rather stay on good terms with them, so we shouldn’t be too rough?” Dusknoir responded.

    Daichi glanced back at Dusknoir with narrowed eyes, “if you could, please,” he grumbled.

    Dusknoir narrowed his eye back instinctively, but quickly caught himself and did his best to relax again. Fur bristling again slightly, Daichi turned ahead again to watch where he was walking, electing not to respond to Dusknoir again if he didn’t have to.

    Eventually, the sight of other absols disappeared as the rocks grew into mountains spreading out into the distance. The scent that this was their territory still lingered in the air, but they by now had passed the main living area for the pack. It wasn’t long after this that the group stopped at the mouth of a large cave, the path descending into the darkness of the dungeon below.

    “Here we are, Brine Cave,” Daichi announced, glancing back at the group again. “We wish you all the best of luck, I trust your strength and intentions. Know that considering the graveness of this disaster to come…” He shook his head. “…the very fate of the world rests on your shoulders. I wish I could help you more from here, but this pack must continue protecting these lands first and foremost.”

    Tsuki nodded in return, “we understand. Thank you for helping us here.”

    “We’re here if you ever need any other sort of help!” Sabi added, “well, we still don’t travel too much, but we’re still good for advice and directions, and any local-er disaster prevention!”

    “We’ll keep you all in mind. I’m sure we’ll want to come back to this continent again some other time in the future,” Ceebee replied.

    “Thanks again for the help!” Keahi chimed in.

    “May Arceus watch over you all,” Daichi hummed.

    Giving their final farewells to the two absols, the group entered their single file line, entering Brine Cave together.

I sighed as I decided what clothes I should wear for the lunch we were going to have with Chairman Rose. When I arrived at home few hours ago after spending last night with Piers, my uncle explained that Chairman Rose wanted to offer me something, and since it looked important, I couldn’t say no, despite my total distrust on the man that confront Piers yesterday. With a sigh, I took a simple white dress and I went to the bathroom to prepare myself. Once I was done, I pulled my hair into a ponytail using a white flower adornment and then, I looked to my makeup kit. Glaceon tilted her head and when I was near to take the brush in order to cover my scars with makeup, she jumped onto the dressing table and closed the kit with her paw. “Hey!” I complained but she shook her head “Oh, c’mon, Glaceon” I sighed as I rolled my eyes, but she kept her paw on the kit. “Yeah, I know I should show the scars with pride but...I don’t know...” Glaceon made a sound that meant ‘You are a survivor, a hero, and the only who takes the risks to save people and Pokemon when they are in danger, so yes, show them’. I sighed again as I stood up in order to put a pair of white sandals on my feet and then, the rest of the accesories: the Dynamax band, the Z-Power Ring and my Keystone. Once I was ready, I took a white purse and a light blue jacket and I went to the living room where my uncle was dealing with my rebellious Galarian Zigzagoon.

“Raikichi, could you tell her not to bite the cushions?” he asked as he tried to pull her away from the cushions before cursing when she bite him “Ow!”

“Zigzagoon, don’t bite” I said as I took her on my arms “Sorry uncle, I caught her this morning but I don’t understand why she has done that”

“Galarian Zigzagoon are a bit more agressive than their Hoenn counterparts” he said treating the small wound on his arm 

“But she didn’t bite me...Wait, maybe...I think that I know what’s happening”

“Then we should discuss that while we travel to Hulbury” my uncle said putting his jacket on. If it was weird to see Piers with different clothes than his uniform, seeing my uncle on a formal suit was...More weird? 

I nodded and I returned Zigzagoon to her Dusk Ball and then, we exited the house, taking a Flying Taxi to Hulbury. During the flight, my uncle told me to relax, cause he noticed I was nervous. Easy to say, difficult to do. I sighed and when we exited the Flying Taxi once we arrived to Hulbury, I tried to calm myself down. “Come, the restaurant is on this way” my uncle said and I followed, with Glaceon at my side.The restaurant was very VERY luxury, and that was making things worst since the people that were inside looked so haughty and arrogant, something I noticed when I heard some of them speaking bad about me when the saw me. 

“Uncle, why we have to be in this restaurant?” I asked in low voice “I don’t like this...”

“I didn’t choose it; it was Chairman Rose’s idea”

Now everything had sense. Chairman Rose was going to play on his battlefield. My uncle noticed that as well and he cursed to himself as we approached the table were Chairman Rose and a woman I’ve never met were waiting for us.

“Kabu, Raikichi, I’m glad you’re here” he said shaking our hands “Oh, Raikichi I want to present you Oleana. She’s my secretary and my second in command of all the companies I have in all Galar”

“So this is the World Champion? Chairmanm, if I can say this, I expected someone more...imposing” she said very derogatory. Oh, you wanted war, bitch? You would have war.

“And I expected Chairman Rose’s secretary not to be so...haughty and arrogant that only judges people by their appearences and not by their goals” I said with a challenging gaze directly to her “You’re not the only one who can play this game, Miss Oleana” Fuck you, bitch.

“How dare you...”

“Please, please, calm down” Chairman Rose said “Oleana, Raikichi has gathered a lot of sucesses since she became the World Champion, so there isn’t any need of speaking to her like that” Fuck you bitch. Again. I could see a little tic on her eyes as she was controlling herself. Two could play this game, and I wouldn’t let that haughty bitch to humillate me only because she was always after Chairman Rose. Maube her position had something related to her particular treatment to other people, but I wansn’t going to allow her to piss me off like that.

We sat down and we ordered the food; my Glaceon nuzzling my hand in order to comfort me. I smiled softly as I stroked her head while I heard the conversation until the waiters brought us the food. “So, Chairman” my uncle started “You said you had an offer”

“Oh, yes” he said “In some months the Gym Challenge will start and I was thinking on asking you, Raikichi, to have an exhibition match with Leon during the opening ceremony. Of course, only if you’re agree”

“That sounds...” I started before being interrupted by Oleana. Bitch.

“Excuse me, Chairman, but this girl is the last thing the League and the Gym Challenge need. Look at her; what people would think about her if they saw her againts our Champion and what they would say if she beats him? Maybe you are proud of those scars, but for me and I’m sure that for a lot of people here, those are the proof of you not having care and...”

“I had enough hearing all your shit” I said standing up 

“Raikichi...” my uncle said, trying to calm me down

“I’m not going to stay here hearing her insulting me, and insulting all the things I did in order to protect people and Pokemon” I said very angry “Now, Oleana, go and face the dangers that I usually face and if you don’t die in the process, come and we’ll speak again. Maybe you’ll lost a leg, but hey, you don’t care. You only care of people having a pretty face. This is for you. Fuck you off and never try to speak to me like that until learning how to respect people.” I said taking my jacket and my purse “And I hope you don’t speak bad about my family, cause that would cross a line that you won’t be able to cross again. Good evening”

Ignoring my uncle calling me, I left the restaurant, Glaceon after me. I also ignored the Flying Taxi that was waiting outside. I needed to calm down and a walk would help me.

-----KABU’S POV--------

Seeing my niece that angry made my heart shrink with worry, but also, I was angry. Not at my niece; but at the woman that insulted her. Raikichi had faced multiple dangers that only someone with her title could deal; and I was sure that many regional Champions didn’t have the guts to face those dangers sometimes. Oleana didn’t understand that; she didn’t want to understand that, and all of that ended with my niece leaving the restaurant. When she was a child, I always cared of her despite not being in Sinnoh. When she won the Sinnoh Pokemon League and faced Cynthia in order to claim the World title, I was there to see my brave niece gathering her first big goal. And now, Oleana decided to insult my niece’s achievments.

“That was rude by your part, Oleana” I said, holding my anger inside me. It was weird to see me angry, but after seeing what happened between Raikichi and Oleana, it was difficult to control my anger “Raikichi put her life in danger many times in order to protect people and Pokemon”

“Then she was a fool doing that. There are more people that can do that”

“Would you have the enough courage to face the legendary Palkia and Dialga at the same time you have to stop a crazy man that wants to destroy the world using both legendary Pokemon? Would you have the enough courage to stop a man that wants to manipulate all the people and having them thinking and believing in his speechment? Would you have the enough courage to face a man that wants to use a destructive weapon to destroy everything?” I asked “Or what about helping a poor guy that was near of being killed by a Salazzle?”

“I heard that the boy was a grunt of something called Team Skull” Oleana said “If I was her, I wouldn’t save him”

“But she isn’t you and she didn’t care if the boy was or not from Team Skull. She cared for his life and she saved him” I said standing up “It’s clear that you should know people better before judging them” I added and then, I looked to the Chairman “If you excuse me, I have to find my niece”

Without letting them to say something, I took my jacket and I exited the restaurant as I heard Chairman Rose arguing with Oleana. With I sigh, I called my niece, but she didn’t answer the call. I tried two more times, and I got the same result, so I decided to give my niece her space and time to calm down. As I approached the Flying Taxi, I texted to her that I’ll be waiting at home and if she needed something, she only had to text me back. Then, I took the Flying Taxi back to Motostoke.

---------RAIKICHI’S POV----------------

Fuck that bitch. She really got me on my nerves with her haughty maneers and her way of talking to me like that. Holy Arceus. why people like HER has to exist?! I kept walking ignoring the little pain of my feet, Glaceon following me worried. “Fuck that bitch, ARGH, I REALLY HATE HER!” I yelled to the sky and then, I took a deep breath before exhaling all the air I took in that deep breath. Glaceon tilted her head and rubbed her fur onto my legs “Don’t worry, girl. I won’t let that bitch to treat me like that”

We kept walking until we arrived at Turffield and then, I got trapped into a bunch of fluffy Wooloos. Glaceon tried to sneak away, but a Wooloo got her up on his back. The Wooloos managed to make me fall to the ground and despite of getting my dress all dirty, I couldn’t help but laugh. They were so cute and fluffy. “Okay, okay, you’re tickling me!” I laughed

“Hey, Wooloos! C’mon, what are you-Don’t do that, you can hurt someone without intention!” I heard someone saying as they approached the bunch of Wooloos. I recognized that voice. It was Milo, the Grass Gym Leader from Turffield, and now he was making the Wooloos to disperse “Raikichi! Are you alright? I’m so sorry, I didn’t want the Wooloos to surround you” he said helping me to stand up.

“Yeah, I’m fine, don’t worry” I said removing the grass strands from by dress

“Your dress...”

“Oh” I said and then, I laughed “Don’t worry about the dress. In fact, I was going to take this out once I get home...By the way, do you need help in the farm?”

“Of course, but may I ask why? I don’t want to sound rude...But you look a bit exhausted” he said

“Nah, don’t worry. I ask cause I want to do something to distract myself” I replied “Let’s say that the lunch I was having with my uncle and with Chairman Rose didn’t end well and I need something to calm down before going back home, so if you don’t mind having me helping you...”

“Oh, then, c’mon” Milo said with a big smile on his face 

We took the Wooloos back to their fenced and then, we went to see how the orchards were since soon it would be the harvest season. After two hours, we finally got the tasks done and I sat down on a trunk near the farm in order to take a breath after doing that amount of effort. “Here, take this” Milo said offering me a fresh lemonade that I took and drank half of it in one sip.

“Thank you” I said after giving a great sigh and savouring the lemonade 

“You know, Piers was here few hours before you came here” 

“Really?” I asked, blushing a bit and being glad that he didn’t notice it

“Yeah” he said after drinking a bit of his lemonade “He was searching for something and I helped him”

“And what was he was searching?”

“Well, he told me it was a surprise, and he told me not to tell anyone” Milo said “You know, he was always hiding his true self behind that cold mask, but since he knows you, he feels more comfortable showing his feelings”

“I see...” I murmured blushing again before shaking my head “Oh, I wanted to ask you a small favor”

“What is it?”

I let my Zigzagoon exit from her Pokeball and then, she quickly ran to try finding a battle with the Wooloos but Glaceon stopped her. “I caught her this morning and I think I did when she was ready to evolve, so I was thinking on having a battle with her and help her with that”

“Oh, then, follow me”

We went to a small battlefield near the farm. Milo told me he used that battlefield to train when he wasn’t in the Gym, and after taking our positions, he choosed his Eldegoss while I choosed Zigzagoon of course. The battle started, with Eldegoss showing his experience in battle and putting Zigzagoon in problems, but then, she showed me the moves she learnt, leaving both Milo and me with our mouths open when she used Ice Beam againts the Eldegoss and then, after many hits and many moves, she started to glow; she was evolving and I couldn’t be more happy than that moment; if my legs didn’t hurt a lot, I would been jumping of happiness. The glow dissapeared and Zigzagoon was now a Linoone, a Galarian Linoone.

“Look at you, girl! You’ve evolved!” I said as Linoone tacklehuged me and licked my face. Glaceon celebrated it too and I managed to get up again, both Glaceon and Linoone were rubbing their furs againts my skin “Thank you so much, Milo”

“Don’t worry, Raikichi. We’re friends and friends are there for helping each other” he said 

“I should go back home now before my uncle decides to start a rescue if I don’t appear at home” I said with a yawn “I’ll come again to help you in order to return you the favor”

“You don’t have to, but if I see that I need help, I’ll tell you if you want to come”

I nodded and together with Glaceon and Linoone I mounted on the Flying Taxi that took me back to Motostoke. Once I arrived, I sighed and I made my way to my uncle’s house, only to be interrupted by a small bunch of people that were wearing similar clothes to the ones the furtives used. “Hehe, look what we found. The bitch that made our friends to end in jail” one of them said “Look at you, you look as the filthy bitch you are. You will pay for ruining our business” he said trying to grab my wrist but was interrupted by the Shadow Ball my Glaceon used against him “Your filthy Glaceon will pay for this” he groaned and commanded his Toxicroak to use Poison Jab againts her.

“Glaceon, dodge it!” I ordered and she did it, but then, another Toxicroak appeared and used Birck Break, hitting her on her back and throwing her away “Glaceon!!”

“Not so fast” the man said as he grabbed my wrist “You’re going to...Akh!”

Linoone had used Bite againts him and I got free and when his Toxicroak tried to use Poison Jab on her, she stopped the Pokemon using Thunderbolt. I had enough of this shit, but when I was going to command another move to Linoone, Glaceon jumped and now she was at her side, but poisoned, and using a Z Move with her in that condition wasn’t a good idea. “Glaceon, Linoone, use Ice Beam!!” I ordered and the furtive’s Pokemon were now frozen, but then I saw that there were two Thievuls coming for us. Glaceon was trying to keep up despite of the poisoning and Linoone didn’t recover all from her previous battle with Milo. With a curse, I cursed myself for not bringing more Pokemon with me, so I decided that the best was retiring, but I ended in the floor after being attacked by the Thievuls that used Dark Pulse, making also Glaceon and Linoone to end on the floor as well. Glaceon tried to keep fighting but I got her. I didn’t want her to get more hurted.

“Where is your strenght now, Champion?” the furtives said and laughed, insulting me and my Pokemon

But before I could reply, a Dark Pulse and a Flamethrower hit the Thievuls, throwing them to their trainers. “Raikichi!!” I heard my uncle saying as he approached me with Piers at his side.

“Hey, are you alright?” Piers asked kneeling at my side

“Yeah...But Glaceon and Linoone...”

“Piers, take my niece to my house” my uncle ordered as his Salazzle took position ready to battle

Piers nodded and after allowing his Obstagoon to take my Glaceon and my Linoone with him, I let my boyfriend to carry me on his back. Glaceon was shivering due the poison that was affecting her and I couldn’t help but feel guilty for that. “Babe, don’t cry, please” he said. Shit. I tried to hold my tears but it was impossible “I’m with you, and that’s all what matters, ‘kay?”

“Okay...” I said with a sob before seeing that we were entering in the Pokemon Center that was near my uncle’s house. Piers put me down and held me firmly as we approached Nurse Joy and let her take care of my Pokemon. While we waited, Piers held me close to him, waiting in silence as I let my tears away until I started to calm down “S-Sorry...I’m the worst trainer that...”

“Don’t continue that phrase, babe” Piers said stroking my cheek as he removed wipped the tears away 

“But look how Glaceon and Linoone are! I should have been more careful and maybe that Toxicroak wouldn’t have hurted Glaceon and...”

Piers rolled his eyes before kissing me, interrupting my words. Luckily for us, no one saw that. When we broke the kiss to get some air, he leant his forehead againts mine before hugging me “They took you by surprise. You were tired, and when someone is tired or exhausted, their reflexes are less than when they are fine...So please, stop thinking that about you, babe.”

“I really had a bad day, and all of this shit started in that damn restaurant” I said 

“Your uncle told me a bit of it, but if you want, you can tell me later once we’re in your home”

I nodded and when Nurse Joy called us, we went to the counter where Glaceon and Linoone were waiting, full recovered. With tears in my eyes, I hugged them and after thanking Nurse Joy, we went to my uncle’s home. Uncle Kabu wasn’t home, so I suppoused he was still dealing with the furtives. Glaceon and Linoone went to the  living room and Piers let his Obstagoon out of his Pokeball to be with my Pokemon. I was so tired that my legs failed, but Piers was quick and held me at time.

“Easy there, babe” he said going to the bathroom with me “I’ll prepare you the bath. Where are your sleeping clothes?”

“Under the pillows of my bed” I said as I started undressing slowly, trying to ignore the pain of my body. Piers quickly went to my room and as fast as he went, he returned with my sleeping clothes. He put them on one of the bathroom cabinets before starting to fill the bathtub with warm water.

“Let me help ya” he said removing the ponytail and my accesories. He stroked gently my skin, checking the small bruises I got “They’ll pay for this”

“They will have enough with my uncle’s punishment” I said as I finished getting undress

“But they are the friends of the ones that tried to hrut you when you defended Linoone” Piers said stroking my cheek “They hurted you, someone really precious to me, and I’ll make them pay”

“Piers...I don’t want you to get in trouble...” I said trembling “I don’t want you to get hurt...”

He stayed silent for few minutes before hugging me. Then, he kissed me and helped me to enter in the bathtub. I sighed in relief when I felt the warm water relaxing my tired muscles, and I got even more relaxed when Piers started to massage my shoulders, his callouse hands working in the right spots. After that, he went to the living room in order to check if my uncle had returned, and then, he came back. “It looks like Kabu is still with them”

“I should have deal with them...”

“Raikichi, please, stop saying that” he said as I cleaned myself “You were exhausted, and you didn’t expect to be battling againts six people at the same time, so please, babe, don’t say that”

I looked at him and I sighed before nodding and smiling softly. I finished cleaning myself and when I was ready to get out of the bathtub, Piers helped me and then, he helped me to get dried and dressed. With care and with a strong I didn’t think he could have, he carried me in bridal style to the living room and put me in the couch. “I’ll prepare you some dinner, ‘kay?”

I nodded and got comfy in the couch, smiling softly when I saw Obstagoon playing nice with Linoone. Glaceon jumped next to me and curled, her head on my leg. “I’m glad both of you are feeling better” I said

Piers made a simple but delicous dinner and after that, we cuddled in the couch watching some films in the TV until I fall asleep on Pier’s arms.

-------PIERS’ POV------

I didn’t expect to find Raikichi fighting a bunch of furtives in the middle of Motostoke, but there she was, and she was dealing with the friends of the bastards that decided to hunt near Spikemuth. Now, we were at his uncle’s house, cuddling in the couch. Kabu told me to take care of Raikichi as he dealt with those criminals, and there I was, hugging my brave girlfriend as we watched some silly but in a way, good films until I heard a very very small snore. I looked at Raikichi and I discovered she had fallen asleep. I couldn’t blame her; she was exhausted after all the thing that happened with Oleana, the work she did in the farm helping Milo cause she needed to get distract and then, the fight with the furtives. How a girl like her could have that amount of energy? I shook my head and smiled as I stroked her back gently. I understood her; Oleana could be a bitch, and with me, she always showed that haughty face cause she didn’t consider me a good Gym Leader only cause I rejected to use Dynamax. Fuck that bullshit. 

I sighed and then, I heard the main door opening; Kabu had returned home. He sounded tired. “Hey” I greeted him and he approached us “It took you too long deal with those bastards, didn’t it?”

“Yeah, but most of the time it was trying to avoid them to run away” he said with a sigh “How’s Raikichi?”

I pointed at her and he sighed in relief when he saw her sleeping. “We should take her to her room” he said and I nodded, being careful cause I didn’t want to wake up her and slowly, I went to her room and left her on the soft bed before covering her with the blankets. I smiled when I saw her hugging the Galarian Zigzagoon plushie I gave her.

“Piers?” Kabu called me and I went to the living room “Thank you”

“Don’t thank me. Ya know I’ll do everything for her”

“Then why you don’t stay tonight? She needs you after the hard day she had today...And don’t worry, I don’t mind if you sleep in her room. I trust you the enough to know you won’t do anything that would hurt her”

“I told you, I would never hurt her” I said and then, I yawned 

“Go to sleep. Both you and Raikichi deserve a rest”

“The same for you” I replied and then, I went to Raikichi’s room. I closed the door behind me and I kicked my boots away. I removed also the ponytail and my trousers before laying down next to her under the covers. I smiled as I stroked her cheek gently before hugging her. That made her curl closer to me as I embraced her with my arms. Glaceon curled at our feet and quickly fall asleep, and I followed my girlfriend to the dream world minutes later.

-----RAIKICHI’S POV------

I woke up with the chirps of the Rockidee that were outside in the balcon of my room. Slowly, I opened my eyes and I smiled when I saw Piers sleeping next to me, with his arms around me. I closed my eyes again and I nuzzled his neck. He stayed, he could have gone to his house but he decided to stay here, with me...He really loved me, and he didn’t stop showing me how much he loved me. With a soft sigh, I tried to get back to sleep, but failed, and that made him chuckle a bit as he woke up.

“You stayed...” I murmured againts his neck

“Of course I did, babe” he replied stroking my hair “I stayed cause I wanted, and also, cause your uncle asked me to stay...”

“Thank you, Piers...”

He smiled and then I rose my head to kiss him. “You smell sweet...Vanilla?”

“I knew you would like it, so yes” Piers chuckled as he hugged me again

“What time is it?...Oh shit, I had to go to help my uncle at the Gym”

“Nope” he said wrapping his arms around me “Your uncle said that you have all this day free, and since I have my day free as well, I have plans”

“What plans?”

“Doing things with you and having a lovely meal at the evening” Piers said “What do ya think?”

“That sounds fine for me”

Piers smiled and then, he stood up and after putting his trousers on, he exited the room, leaving me blushing madly. After some minutes, he came back with a bag on his hands. “I texted Marnie to bring me some clean clothes” he said before taking my hand and pulling me gently to his arms “Let’s go to have a delicious breakfast and enjoy this day, ‘kay?”

“With you at my side? Of course, babe?” I said kissing him

After the breakfast and getting ready, we went to do some activities to have me distracted cause I couldn’t stop thinking on what happened last day. Piers told me that we were going to stay at night in Wyndon, so he helped me to prepare a small bag with some clothes and things and once we were ready, we took a Flyinf Taxi to Wyndon.

Wyndon was really REALLY big. I was amazed at all the things I was seeing. First we went to visit some boutiques and then, we tried the battle in the Battle Caffé in which we on, with a bit of difficult, but we won. We had lunch after that and then, we went to visit more places during the evening, including the galar Hurricane. The views from the cabinet when we were in the highest points were beautiful.

“Yeah...I really appreciate all the effort you doing to cheer me up. It’s really working” I replied smiling as well

“Then we should get to the next part of this special day” he said as we exited the Hurricane and then, we went to a restaurant to have a romantic dinner. We talked about his ideas for the concert and he suggested me to do a contest performance in the middle of the concert. I wasn’t sure but I told him I would think about it.

After the dinner, we went to the The Rose of the Rondelands, one of the most expensive hotels in the all Galar, and knowing that Piers had booked one of the most expensive rooms of the hotel made me look at him with curiosity. “Leon’s idea.” he said as we entered in the room, closing the door behind us “He wanted to pay the room but I said no cause I could afford easily with the money of the concerts and the money I win being the Gym Leader” he added as he removed his ponytail and then, he unbuttoned his shirt before kissing me “Did I tell you how much I love you?”

“Yes...But I love hearing you saying that, babe...” I said as he removed my clothes slowly after , and then, I did the same with his clothes. “I love you too, babe” he said kissing me back before laughing when Glaceon sighed and curled herself to get some sleep. Then, he looked at me when I yawned, so he allowed me to lean my head on his chest “Did you enjoy this day?”

“Of course I did, babe...” I said closing my eyes, tangling my legs with his as I laced my fingers with his 

“Sleep well, my lovely muse...” he whispered before kissing my temple and bthen, he closed his eyes as well “I love you...”

“Love you too...” I whispered before I fell aslee, quickly followed by Piers.

Hugh doesn’t know what he’s supposed to do now. He’s found out what the Pokemon is, yeah, but what’s he supposed to do with it? If Touya isn’t taking it...

He heads out the door, and starts walking back home. Maybe he’ll figure something out later--

“I didn’t see it going like that!“

Hugh groans. “What were you expecting, sunshine and fuckin’ rainbows?” gods, that voice is going to get annoying. “Things ain’t how they used to be. Tou steeled up and Reshiram made it worse.”

While Victini flies a little closer, Hugh shrugs. “It’s whatever, now. Make y’self scarce, or somethin’.”

“Scarce? I thought...”

“Of all the Trainers you could’a picked, you chose one of the ones who got super fucked up when he got a Legendary. If my friends say he ain’t like he was, then he ain’t.”

Victini hovers at the edge of Hugh’s vision, before landing on his shoulder. “What do you mean by that?”

“You heard him. Reshiram basically controls his body like... half the time he’s awake, n’ he hates it. Think I would too. Drive me mad...”

“Mad?” Victini hops over to Hugh’s other shoulder, and looks around at his face. “Well, what’s Reshiram been... doing to him?”

Hugh rolls his eyes. “Haven’t you been watchin’ him or somethin’?”

“I was watching up until the fight! And I only just found him again when you two were near the Chasm!”

“Twelve years! Fuck me, you really think he was gonna be the same after twelve years in the Light Stone?”

Now, Victini sits back, perched on Hugh’s shoulder. For just a few moments, the energy in Hugh’s body seems to deplete-- gods, he’s exhausted, isn’t he? It’s so late and he’s been sleeping terribly-- and his walking pace slows drastically. Victini seems to notice, and tilts its head.

“What’s wrong? You slowed down...”

“Tired.” that’s an understatement. He’s not sure why it’s all caught up to him now. “I dunno why. Just... tired.”

There’s a small hum from Victini, and they touch the side of his face-- he’s sure that they would have touched his neck, if he didn’t have it covered up by his jacket-- and suddenly, a burst of energy seems to come through him. He shakes his whole body out as it passes through him, and he’s left with a sickeningly sweet aftertaste.

“Bluh! What was that?”

“I gave you some energy! I wanna keep talking with you. I had... a question, and I think you might have the answer.” Victini sits back down on his shoulder, and Hugh groans slightly. “Why do you think he doesn’t want me in particular?”

Hugh snorts. “It’s not you in particular. He’s sick of Legends, I bet. Think there’s only one he’d like to have near him right now.”

“What one?”

He takes a moment to think, tilting his head. He knows his reasoning... “Jirachi. Wishmaker.”

“Why?”

“Sure he wants to return to a regular life. He’d wish away everythin’ to go back to bein’ who he was, I’m sure.”

“That would... that would mess with time, though! He’s supposed to have Reshiram, he was chosen by it, and he--”

“Just had to deal with it? Why the fuck you think I don’t want a Legendary? It’s fuckin’ chaos, every moment of every day, pretendin’ you’re someone you’re not. Nobody likes a Legendary Trainer, yet everyone wants t’be one.” Hugh slumps his shoulders slightly, and lets out a loud sigh. On some levels, he does want to have a Legendary, but simultaneously... “It’s... whatever. Resh goes and hurts Touya. He suffers because he’s got Reshiram. Lucas suffers because he’s got Dialga. Nate suffers ‘cause he’s got Genesect, and Ax... pretends not to suffer while he’s got Lugia.” a ringing starts up in his ear, but he’s just gonna let it happen now. He doesn’t care enough to fight back anymore.

“You wanna be like them, even if you suffer.” Victini stands again, and it seems to think for a moment, before projecting a vision into Hugh’s head.

It’s something he’s thought about before, on his own. It’s just a few scenes of battles, beside Axel, who’s using Lugia. Then there’s some where he’s by Nate, who’s using Genesect.

Does he feel left out? It’s not like he wants a Legendary, is it? He hates the idea of having to hide who he is again, to pretend that he’s not who he is. Hugh shakes his head rapidly, and speeds up his walking pace.

“I don’t want a Legendary. Hell, why would one want me? I don’t have morals that Legendary Pokemon wanna fuck with. ‘n I hate religion in general.”

“You conditioned yourself to hate religion--”

“No, my family was religious, ‘n they kicked me out! That ain’t fuckin’ conditionin’ myself, that’s me havin’ a negative experience n’ thinkin’ “fuck me! Thought you guys preached love and shit, but’cha just using it to hide your fuckin’ disgust towards people like me!” If that’s conditionin’, I don’t know what the fuck words mean, then!”

Victini jumps backwards, and starts flying beside him. It’s silent for a few moments, as if it’s trying to figure out something to say. When it can’t figure out quite what to say to calm Hugh down, it simply remains silent.

After a short huff, Hugh lowers his head. “Sorry. That was... violent of me.”

Finally, he reaches home. Victini’s still with him, and clearly wants to stay around until Touya accepts it, so he opens the door, and holds it open.

“Come on, then. Stay w’ me until Tou thinks things through.”

Ruin-ed Drabble

20XX

Something fishy was about to unfold. It was a clear day, just as clear as the day before and most likely the same for tomorrow. The chatots were chirping outside, and the day care was as bustling as ever. Cody was just waking up. Tired as ever.

"Hey honey, we need you downstairs, your dad is coming home today!"  Cried his mom. He knew today was a forbidden day. He hated his dad, and rightfully so. Nothing could prepare him for what was about to become.

"I made some fresh bacon and eggs. I hope you don't mind sunny side up, i wasn't sure if you wanted them or scrambled today since you were asleep…"

"Its okay mom. I enjoy your cooking regardless. Yours would win any pokemon's heart then and there." He replied biting down on some chewy bacon still dripping of fresh grease.

"You work today?"

He was sure she was referring to his job helping the daycare couple with monitoring pokemon and gathering found eggs for them. It was his one day a week off, and she knew that. But she also knew sometimes went in regardless to help out. It was almost, no. It was a second home to him.

"Yes mom. Today's the day that Cynthia is coming in to check up on us! I can't wait to meet the champion of Sinnoh herself!" He proclaimed with a mouth full of food.

"Well, you better hurry if you want to get there in time."

Cody quickly finished eating and ran to the daycare to meet Cynthia. He was in shock for what was about to unfold.

13 years later

"Well, its a bright and beautiful day, isn't it Lucario?” He responded with a simple nod. They were traveling back to their hometown to see what has transpired since they were last there. Katlyn had a while to go. Not that much farther for the new musician. She was only 19 at the time, almost 20. All her other pokemon she left in the care of the couple she loved so truly.

"It's about time that we meet up with my past Lucar. We both need each other for this. This, place, I hate it. But you evolved here. As did that feebas. We need to figure it out."

The trees started to make a clearing to form a small path ahead, to their destination.

"Well, were almost there. Lets settle this once and for all."

20XX

The day care was bustling full of people and their pokemon, picking up and dropping off. In the distance he heard a voice, "Cody! Glad you came in. I need you to go fetch a few pokemon for me. Their trainers are here for them. Here’s their balls with their names on them. Be safe and quick please!" Said the old Lady. He was never rude to ask them their names, as he didnt think that it mattered too much. They always treated him like one of their own and he loved that. But now that list, it was a big one that day.

"Well, we have 2 in the ice pen, 4 in the rock pen, blah blah blah, and 1 from the dragon pen?" He spoke in shock. When did a dragon pokemon get dropped off? He always knew that dragon types were rare. Hell, he found more fairy types than dragons daily.

"Name is, Gabite. And the species is Gabite. Not very original…. And no special markings. No problem since there seems to only be him. I hope he's not too lonely all this time alone."

Cody quickly grabs all the ones he can accept the Gabite in little to no effort. He call forth a few starly to drop these off up front to make it a little easier on him. He knew the starly on the daycare were always helpful and glad to be of service. But now it was time to tackle the dragon pen.

Cody has only once ever been in there, and that was to chase a bratty bidoof. Funny was the trainer treated him like he was arceus reincarnate. Must have been nice to have. But now he stood before the overgrown brush that covered the wooden fence. He carefully climbed through and found what appeared to be an oasis. Just beauty of nature, undisturbed for who knows how long. He dusted off the loose leaves and began the search. First looking for any signs of life. Nothing anywhere. He then began looking for where it last was. He found a old automatic feeder busted open and a trail of crumbs leading to a cave. He gulped.

"Well, this is now or never. I promised to get you back, and by Dialga I will." And thus marched forth into the cave.

Future.

Katlyn has entered an old cave filled with ancient writing on it. She could read that writing, it came natural from her time trapped in here. But still she went to the end of the hall where a plaque stood. It said not to touch anything and please leave. She kicked it in half.

"Parents being parents. Lets their kids explore more." She walked past to the writing on the wall. She could recite it perfectly if she wanted to. But she said it aloud anyways.

"Top right Lower left Top right Top left Top left. Lower left"

She knew that path would be the only one that lead to the room at the bottom. A secret room where she first had riolu evolve. Also same room that feebas evolved in as well. She understood something was not natural about that room at all. And she decided to test something. She pulled out an everstone and gave it to Lucario to hang on to.

"Don't let go of it. We need to test something." And with those words she descended deeper into those ruins.

20XX

The cave was deep and dark. But the trail continued onward. Suddenly, a ledge appeared and down tumbled Cody. He awoke to the breathing above him. It appeared to be a pack of sableye. Tuey suddenly picked him up and carried him quickly down the cavern farther and farther away from what he once knew. A light appeared blinding him and he was outside. But he knew the terrain he was somehow at lake Variety! Suddenly, they threw him into the lake and fled. Cody had no time to react when a squad of tentacruel with a dew octillery swam him to the cavern that was under water. They threw him inside and a psyduck appeared. It used cloud nine to clear the cavern and reveal what it truly was. The resting place of a legendary.

Future

Were almost there, i know it. That crazy ruin guy would leap joys and bounds to know past the 2nd level. They arrived that the entrance to the last room. But it appeared to be sealed off. Katlyn tapped the wall and spoke, "May the doors of future open to past".

Suddenly, the rubble slowly dissipated in front of them and into they went. The room was as she knew it. 4 stone pokeball statues in a square towards the center of the room. The room stood as still as death. The air dry and dusty. She stood there. Nothing happening. Just stood there. Then, a slight breeze grazed her.

20XX

"Young one. The door is opened for now. You just deliver this to them you know the path. Do so again!" And with a whisk of light, Cody was in the ruins, before a girl and her Lucario. He waved but they don't seem to notice him. He quickly swapped the stones with the one Lucario is holding and before he could speak, he was back in the oasis he was before. Unscathee and as if time never passed. Man, I hate these dragons. He checked the list and there was gabite still but before him was a sleeping Gabite. He picked him up and ran back to the daycare. Before he made it all the way, a grown woman walked to him and gave him a hug. She grabbed the gabite, and in return gave him and egg. "Take care of the egg please, it was one of my cherished pokemon's.” And with that, she was gone. All he remembers is spending the night at the daycare with his new friend. Little did he know that one day, the egg would make the world change for her.

I know its likely that nobody will care, but all my irritation at Gamefreak over their... controversial (to say the least!!!) decision regarding the new gen had me go back and look over my near living dex of pokemon. I’ve listed out any of those bastards here that are over level 80, along with 10 additional pokemon who I also have fond memories of. I can’t move on to the new generation because... I won’t be able to bring many of these with me. Put a cut here so I dont bother y’all with a giga list.
