The shape stalked around the man with a sphinx-like posture, reptilian feet kicking up fine sand and disturbing the eerie stillness of the vast darkness surrounding them. Above there were no stars, no clouds, no sun. Only a blood red blemish which writhed and morphed in the sky, emanating a low light. There was no sound within the vast wasteland, and now the only movement was the shape leaping up to perch on a barbed tree.

Tail whipping back and forth, she spoke: "I usually find those who are looking for me. I stumble upon them during a chance encounter. After months of calling, they cross my path. Leaping through self imposed hoops of archaeology and living in occult libraries. Did you self-flagellate? Did you kill babies or animals in my name? Did you swear off your earthly possessions and crawl on your hands and knees to find me? If you did, I don't want you here."

Standing upright, the head and torso of a woman became more apparent but her face was still lost in the darkness as it was hidden behind a veil. "Seeking me in of itself is a mortal sin. And dangerous too. My siblings would have eaten you alive if you had found them instead."

"You better be something. Otherwise, you'll have to bear all the punishments and receive none of the rewards. The floor is yours, friend. Make it worth it."

Imagine this...

A big potluck party in Blancblack Castle with Yosafire and Chelan grabbing a disturbing large amount of apples for Dialo to bake with.

Froze and Alela Grora helping Wodahs cook enough for everyone (and Rawberry). Kcalb and Etihw just sitting in the background being taste testers with Kcalb only tasting the desserts.

The Preserves Sisters baking and cooking normal and abnormal food for the party. Macarona trying to make sure Rawberry doesn't add caterpillars in every thing Raspeel cooks and learning some cooking skills with the Preserves Sisters.

Lowrie and Grief help out with telling their students to participate for fun and bring some food for everyone in the garden to eat.

PERSONALITY: Dialen has a fascination with humans and actually prefers their company over the company of a fellow demon. In most cases, her snooping is never malevolent but rather to satiate her curiosity surrounding humans. She’s what the family would consider the “Screw-Up” as she never lived up to any of the expectations put into place by her mother. She does love (some of) her family but just wants to live with her own terms.  

She’s a bit of a slacker and doesn’t ever do anything really productive. She just shows up and mooches off of people with her excuses basically being “I’m too pretty” or “But we’re family”. She never helped around in the underworld and even on Earth, she refuses to get a job. She couldn’t even be bother to get up and get things for herself, usually sending her younger siblings to fetch things for her. She is the embodiment of “Just standing there and looking pretty”.

Dialen serves as the mediator of the family, no matter how much she silently resents several members of the family. Out of everyone, she’s the only one who is comfortable with assisting others manage their emotions. She isn’t one to back away from emotional confrontations and insists any disagreements be dealt with swiftly. She also isn’t one to lose her calm composure so easily and it takes a bit to really get her riled up; even then, she doesn’t have any outbursts but rather just sits and simmers until she’s able to talk about it.  

DEMON FORM: Dialen is almost never in her demonic form because of how much time she spends among humans. It’s almost been 45 years since she was in her demon form. Like her siblings, Dialen has long horns but hers curl upwards and have silver caps on their ends. A majority of her form in concealed under a long black veil but her face and torso are the least malformed in comparison to her siblings. Her face is extremely angular and appears to be made of a light grey ceramic as it has an extremely glossy texture and black eyes. She isn’t winged but her spine has several bone spurs sticking through her skin. Finally, like the rest of her family, she has dark grey fur, hooves, and a tail.

I think Dia, Cici, and Ake love each other, they just don't like each other. They definitely prefer each other to their other siblings, they'd sacrifice things for each other, cover for each other, and spend a lot of time together and are able to have a good time. Other than that, if they weren't siblings I don't think they'd want nothing to do with each other. They go out of their way to hurt each others' feelings and mock each other. Needless to say, their relationship isn't healthy but it their eyes, it beats the alternative.

Name: Dialen Current Human Alias: Rhiannon Warren Species: Archdemon Occupation: Princess/Unemployed   Status: Alive Age: Over 2500 Mental Age: 18-20 Gender: Female Siblings: Just the ones she’s been living with and several others which she doesn’t care much about Abilities: Messes with people’s sense of time and can change the speed of time to suit her pace. Shapeshifting.

Dialen likes to get herself involved in human affairs. Meaning that her alias changes regularly but she isn’t as terribly consistent with her appearance as her younger sister. All that really stays the same is dark hair and dark eyes. She changes her appearance and name so often that she’s forgotten a majority of them. The few she remembers are only because there was photographic evidence of her presence or she was hanging out with Cicero at the time.

At this point in time (1998), Dialen has chosen to have olive skin, almond-shaped dark brown eyes, a button nose, and long straight dark brown hair. She’s just around the same height as her younger sister but chooses to have a delicate and slender build. She’s almost catlike with small breasts and a narrow hips and she appears even smaller under her loose, earth-toned clothing. It’s almost difficult to find her body underneath it all.

Surprisingly, she didn’t come to Earth for the same reasons as her family. Rather that she was spending time on Earth either way and happened to catch wind of the fact that her family was in San Francisco. She was able to find them quite quickly and said “What the hell? I’ll stay here and spend time with them”. Much to Cicero’s dismay, she shares a room with her.

Other than just being lazy, she enjoys having fun. So long as there isn’t any kind of set up that she has to do. She likes going out any exploring, making sure to take one of her siblings go with her, of course. Everything is interesting to her. Head leaned against the wall, the brickwork was still warm. He didn’t usually resort to phone calls --- often, he would leave messages and voicemail alike unanswered, for days or weeks on end. But he was willing to make an exception to discover whether or not stepping inside the house was a good course of action. Running into a still-angry duo was not something he wanted to do. He didn’t care to deal with those things at the moment.

“Dialen. Just the woman I wanted to speak to.” Liar, liar, pants on fire. He could imagine Fausta taunting him already for it. “I left hastily earlier. If you’d like to pick up where we last...” The back door eeeked open, and he met her eyes. He gave an amicable wave --- an olive branch of sorts --- before hanging up the phone. With any hope, she’d left that frying pan somewhere she wouldn’t remember it. He could tell a storm was on its way. To be honest, Sebastian would have preferred a cyclone to facing Dialen’s wrath. But some things simply had to be done. “Evening.”

Serial Spouse: 4 failed marriages later, Cicero is still hanging in there in hopes of finding lucky number 5. In her defense she only ruined two of those relationships on her own; Abraxas can be blamed for the other two.

Creepy Family: Have you met the “Warren” family? Abraxas spends Saturday nights dismembering people, Dialen spends most of her time trying to resurrect her dead little brother (when she’s not in a death-like slumber all day at least), Cicero is a sadomasochist who doesn’t know when to quit, and Fausta is 75 lbs of seething rage running around with a craft knife in her back pocket.

Cain and Abel: Cicero and Abraxas’s sibling rivalry runs stupidly deep. Had it not been for the laws of my canon, they would’ve slaughtered each other. Technically, Cici managed to pull it off but it wasn’t exactly permanent.

The Un-Favorite: With Cicero’s mother at least. It seemed everybody got a little bit of positive attention from her except Cicero. Once she stopped being a helpless infant, Lilith kinda kicked her to the curb and projects all her issues on her. Most likely than not, it has something to do with Cicero being given special treatment from her father when he did the bare minimum for his other children.

Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Cicero will tell you about how much she adores your company, loves your style, and how she thinks you’re funny. . .then out of nowhere she starts blackmailing you about something you never even told anyone about. It’s never anything personal as she’s usually just following Felix’s orders but she’s still going to bully you because she thinks it’s fun.
