So I was on the Diablo 4 subreddit looking up a recent log-in error and this is the top post of the month
It dawned on me that having secluded myself mainly to single player experiences and especially newer games I've forgotten about the decrepit blight that is 'boomer' gamers, try thinking of a more wretched combination of words.
The entire sub is grown men whining about non-existent zoomers ruining the game that isn't even out yet by complaining that it's too old school, and the comments under the above post is nothing but "all in the name of body positivity" and crying about how their fem-druid isn't an inch supermodel.
For the record I really like how each class has their own body type, and they all make sense: Barbarians are pure muscle, Rogues are lean and svelte like acrobats, necromancers are intensely scrawny, sorcerers are skinny and the druids are the Maui or classic strongman type of buff, the realistic type of buff you'd get from that sort of lifestyle, and I LOVE it, I LOVE how my druid looks like Thor from God of War, how he's way more physically imposing than even the Barbarian but with a sorta gentle giant quality, and then you have the Diablo 4 redditors who want a standard body slider presumably because it goes well with the formless grey mush they prefer to eat.

Final thoughts on diablo 4
Necromancer
I played the game until the end with her (I do have a picture of it but my internet is shit so it's not loading in sorry) and I have a very interesting take on it. If it wasn't obvious I went for a blood only build for necromancer and I had an interesting time with it, the first blood ability, hemorrhaging, is a good ability and when used can offer some emergency health globes. My main problem with it is the fact it could use a small buff, early game it's useful if slow but late game it's not terribly used that much besides essence generation. Now it's not to say its a bad thing but it is a little slow and could use a small buff.
Blood Lance needs a buff like a large one, I've tried using it on multiple occasions and could not find a use for it, I don't know if it was the build or something but I couldn't find a use for it it needs a buff
Blood surge is incredibly powerful, one of the best AOE attacks in the game if I do say. Does it need a nerf? I don't think so, from my experience it's been a pretty fair ability that can wipe lower level mobs and deal significant damage to more elite enemies, overall its one of the best abilities.
Bone Lance, now as I was playing the game my blood only build changed because I noticed that when playing the necromancer it's really hard to do so without minions, and bone Lance was apart of that. This shit is stupidly overpowered, one of the best and most deadly skill you could have. If any of the necromancers skills need a nerf this would be it.
Blood wave, underwhelming. It needs a buff but it's underwhelming.
The minions, now as I was playing through the game I noticed while playing with no minions that I was missing something and I noticed pretty quickly when I added them back on that they are required to play necromancer. Now it's not to say it's necessary for the minions but I've encountered on more than one occasion that having minions makes it really easy to control the battle field, without them you get overwhelmed far too often.
Druid
Now I haven't gone that far with druid but I've played enough to garnered an opinion. The druid is... limited in the beta, not to say they aren't strong they can definitely be strong with the right builds it's the fact not everything is available to the druid during the beta. I went with a earth focused build for druid and I noticed right away it's a weird bag that needs a lot of buffs. Some skills that seem strong need a buff while others may need a slight balance work for it. It's weird, the druid isn't bad but their not the best either.
Sorcerer
While playing with the sorcerer I've noted that some of its seemingly powerful spells don't seem terribly strong, in fact they are weak in comparison to others. The flamethrower skill was underwhelming as I expected it to be like the lightning skills to be powerful but it was sub par at best. The arc slash is also good but with how the sorcerers abilities are set I wouldn't be surprised if she received a mixed bag of both nerfs and buffs when the full game comes out.
Rogue
I have to say it but the rogue is the most heavily balanced character in the whole game, I don't think they'll get much in the way of nerfs or buffs in the future. When playing through with them I've noticed that they have a very fair game play style. There's not much else to say their just greatly balanced.
Barbarian
So I didn't go the normal route many chose for the barbarian, I instead went with a bleed build which offered a lot of challenge during the mid game. While looking at their other abilities and how the community has generally played them I can confidently say the barbarian like the sorcerer will probably get both buffs and nerfs when the full game releases. Not to say its a bad thing but considering how hard it is to play barbarian mid game or even early game I say it's safe to say it'll be changed the least with just a few tweaks to it.
I've shared my thoughts and experiences with the game and if you have your own I'd love to hear it

Heavy Voice - Diablo 4
I want it out there and on the record that I have known since the first days of the Open Beta that the weird half-dead wolf character was Mephisto. That's a legitimately proud moment I have as a lore enthusiast. The rune carved into his skull was a dead giveaway, appearing in the Book of Adria as a symbol connected to Mephisto. And boy... was it.
I just wanted to make this comic to say that I think Mephisto's voice just doesn't fit in D4. Do not get me wrong, it is an awesome voice, it is powerful, malevolent as all hell, and there is just a soft gurgling undertone to it that brings it all together. Steve Blum is the man! But my guy, I picture a body behind that voice that has actual weight to it. Have you seen Mephisto? He's a literal bone collection, he probably weighs less than a skinny adult human! I am convinced the VA was cast for the wolf, not Mephisto's real appearance. The strangest part is that Mephisto had the perfect voice in the past!
No, not Diablo 2.
Diablo 3! Listen! I have always loved this voice, every time I find this lore entry during a playthrough, I am so happy to listen to him! It's not a weighty voice, it sounds old, which fits because Mephisto is the eldest among all the demons, the Firstborn of Tathamet, basically. And to me it sounds like a cunning evil, especially with his last sentence being "Some battles can only be won with words". Now can a voice like this carry an entire main-entry game with him as the second big bad? A good question, I honestly have no idea. Maybe it really would not work on the long run, but certainly they could have found something closer to this than the Bass King in D4.
Okay but then why do I like Malthael's voice? That's incredibly deep too, and the guy looks like two french fries duck-taped together.
Well, first of all, Malthael is not that skinny actually. He appears so because of his design (which is genius, btw), but if you've tried to learn to draw him well, you realize he has some meat under that armor. I am certain he is what one might call a "sleeper build". Second, it's kind of hard for me to put it into words, but Malthael's voice has an empty echo-y subtone and feel to it that makes it far less weighty in my ears (and also shows just how far he has fallen). I don't know, does that make sense?
Either way, that was my deep dive into the Diablo franchise VA scene, thank you for coming to my TED talk! I still am very much looking forward to Vessel of Hatred, and to finally murder Mephisto once again as well. I don't hate him as much as Lilith, but I am sure he will earn it by the end of the story, whenever that will be.
If you have any voices that you love or hate, share them with me! It's fun!
Other Diablo 4 adventures!

Made a druid in the Diablo beta this weekend. Its not as fun to me as a rogue, but it was more engaging with how much variety the class offered. I still want to check out necromancer and barbarian if I get the chance.
Bonus Lillith because hot:
